Program Note

[ Posted Tuesday, November 20th, 2018 – 14:15 UTC ]

This was already going to be a sparse week for columns, what with the holiday and all, but I regret to inform you that it's about to get even sparser. There will be no column today, because I have to deal with the auto repair shop (fuel pump is getting replaced), and some desperately-needed site maintenance. There will also be no new columns on Thursday or Friday this week, although I may find the energy to post a re-run (no promises). So tomorrow, look for a new column, but then there won't be another new column until next Monday. I apologize in advance for the bumpy service this week, and wish everyone safe travels and a happy Thanksgiving!

With Thanksgiving upon us, I am trying to make sure that I acknowledge those that I am thankful for being in my life.

I was first introduced to CW via the Huffington Post. I really enjoyed Chris’ approach and how he expressed his views and wanted to read more from him. I stumbled onto this site right around the time of the Trayvon Martin shooting, and instantly felt welcomed by the group. I so appreciated that it was safe to have differing views on here without the fear of it turning into a personal lynching.

I have enjoyed the spirited back and forth that naturally flowed on here, and I have come to consider the people on here as not just friends, but part of a little online family — family who I have never met, have no idea what they look like, and who I might not even know their real names — but family that I look forward to seeing their posts after a CW article nonetheless!

So to all of my “CW Family”, I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
