I don't remember the right wingnuts getting this excited about Fox news and the prevaricated propaganda they push like heroin to their gullible rubes since the "Nunes Memo" nothingburger. I have a crazy idea; try reading the actual filing. Then educate yourself about what a DNS server is and is not. That filing doesn't remotely say what Fox is claiming, but don't let facts get in the way of your hysterical fantasies.

You would think that as many times as Fox has led the rubes down the "any day now" trail that the clueless morons would finally "clue in" to the fact that they're being strung out on lies, but NOPE... ignorance must truly be bliss for these idiots, and Dumbass Donald is calling for the execution of people while the rubes eat it up like the Trump cult zombies they are. The QAnon-level crazy has officially gone right-wing mainstream... the "Storm" is imminent.

Also: Fox News has spent years telling their useful idiots with terminal "Cannot Connect Dots" Syndrome that there was absolutely zero evidence of any "collusion." Now they're telling the same gullible morons that there was actually shit-tons of it... except the (up until now nonexistent) evidence of was all planted by Hillary Clinton. Meanwhile, Dumbass Donald calls for the execution of Democrats while the Trumpian cult zombies are hysterically still frothing at the mouth at the idea of killing anyone who is a perceived enemy of their Orange Worship. How sick is that? #HangMikePence

Lawyers for the Clinton campaign paid a technology company to "infiltrate" servers belonging to Trump Tower, and later the White House, in order to establish an "inference" and "narrative" to bring to government agencies linking Donald Trump to Russia, a filing from Special Counsel John Durham says.

Democrats GOING TO JAIL!!!!! :D

Check back in the morning to get all the FACTS regarding the Democrat Party's Russia Collusion Delusion!! :D

"Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited this arrangement by mining the EOP’s DNS traffic and other data for the purpose of gathering derogatory information about Donald Trump," Duruham's office said in the filing, referring to the White House's Executive Office of the President.

The filing came as part of the probe's prosecution of Michael Sussman, an attorney who worked on behalf of Clinton's 2016 campaign.

Reacting to the revelations Saturday, Trump said the filings provide "indisputable evidence" for "a scandal far greater in scope and magnitude than Watergate."

But, Mr. President, proceed with caution. Talk about the things you and Congress have done to help meet the challenges Americans are facing, for sure. Lay out your goals for the future, absolutely. Offer realistic hope for better days ahead. We desperately need it. But recognize that we are still in the grips of a national trauma. Polls show that the vast majority of Americans believe we are on the wrong track, and people will have little patience for lavish claims of progress that defy their lived experiences.

Exactly.. Biden needs to learn his lessons from crowing about the SUMMER OF RECOVERY while Americans were still suffering immensely..

Congratulations! You finally defined what is meant when people say “defund the police” somewhat correctly. DEFUND does not mean to take money out of Public Safety’s budgets; it is about transferring some of the money typically budgeted to police to other public safety or health services agencies and allowing them to take the calls that the police are not always fully trained to handle.

Defund the police means taking money from police and giving it to social workers..

How is that NOT defunding the police???

You claim that DEFUND has been a total failure,

No.. The FACTS *PROVE* that defunding the police has been a total failure..

What??? You need MORE facts???

You claim that DEFUND has been a total failure, but you have yet to provide us even one example of a city that managed to properly DEFUND it’s Public Safety departments.

There IS no way to "properly defund" police because defunding police is NOT proper..

So ALL of your arguments are based on lies from then on. No need to debate any point you are making as it is based on dishonest premises.

Yes, that's your claim..

As usual, you have NO FACTS to support your claim.

So, to recap..

You claim that Defunding police isn't really defunding the police..

Then, in this comment you concede that defunding police IS really defunding police..

But you refuse to concede that the HUGE explosion in violent crime is directly tied to Democrats and their DEFUND, DEMORALIZE, DEMONIZE THE POLICE policies..

I guess you need MORE facts because you refuse to accept reality..

Sorry folks...

Six More Weeks of FACTS that prove the Democrat Party is the DEFUND, DEMORALIZE, DEMONIZE THE POLICE Party...

It’s a simple-sounding proposition: you take public money away from police departments that are too often heavy-handed and racially prejudiced and plough it instead into fairer non-policing forms of ‘public safety’, like mental healthcare, youth services, improvements to housing, and so on. And hey presto, there’ll be fewer trigger-happy cops on the streets and more happy citizens no longer tussling with mental problems and crappy living conditions. The reality, of course, as could have been predicted by anyone who doesn’t live in a gated community and get all their news from the New York Times, has been rather different.

So it should be extremely strange that immediately after you show that you do actually understand what it means that you changed your argument to define it simply as slashing of the police’s budgets — but your posts are rarely based on honest debate so it surprises no one.

You claim that DEFUND has been a total failure, but you have yet to provide us even one example of a city that managed to properly DEFUND it’s Public Safety departments. Areas that simply slashed their policing thinking that was going to have positive results were run by reactive idiots that will hopefully be voted out of their political seats of power as a result!

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan weighed in on the latest news from the Durham investigation and called on Republicans to conduct a full investigation if they retake control of the House in November. On "America's Newsroom" Monday, Jordan said the report that Hillary Clinton paid to infiltrate the Trump administration's servers is "as wrong as it gets"

REP. JIM JORDAN: They were creating the very news they were then tweeting about and trying to get the media to write about. This is, frankly, it's no different. It's the template that the left uses, that the Democrats use. It's the same thing that happened four months ago when we found out the Department of Education went out and solicited the letter from the National School Board Association so they could do what they wanted to do, namely spy on parents.

How many ways can the Democrat Party completely and utterly FAIL??

I am betting we're about to find out... :D

Oooohhhh Ruuuuussssssss???? :D

Jim Jordan sounds off on Durham probe bombshell: 'They spied on a sitting president'

Durham's report claims Clinton campaign paid to "infiltrate" Trump administration servers

Russ?? Whaaaa??? You don't want to talk about your Russia Collusion delusion?? :D

Oh.. OK...

1. It’s funny that what you refer to as ”frak’ed spewage” were quotes taken directly from the transcript of Trump’s Jan. 6 rally speech!

No.. It's your pet moron's interpretation of President Trump's speech that is the "frak'ed spewage"... :D

See how that works???

You had stated that Trump had only said one thing to those that committed the failed insurrection:

What?? What are you talking about???

Speak english, man!!

I made it very clear in my post [114] that my reason for posting was to correct your ignorant and/or dishonest statement that Trump only said this one thing that day..

And, as usual, you utterly failed..

So go ahead and admit that you were wrong and that I was right…that my argument was the TRUTH. You always claim that you have no problem admitting when you are proven wrong…so have it! Chirp

Oh, that's easy.. I can admit that..

Your argument was "truth".. YOUR "truth"..

But your argument is completely and utterly FACT-LESS... As in devoid of ANY supporting or relevant facts whatsoever..

Just like your Russia Collusion delusion is your "truth"... And is ALSO completely and utterly FACT-LESS... As in devoid of ANY supporting or relevant facts whatsoever...

Michale

I did manage to pick out one tidbit from yer frak'ed spewage that was relevant..

He said we have to fight and show strength, but he also said we're very peacefully and patriotically

Your own quotation totally sinks your case... :D

1. It’s funny that what you refer to as ”frak’ed spewage” were quotes taken directly from the transcript of Trump’s Jan. 6 rally speech!

2. Your own quotation totally sinks your case... :D. You had stated that Trump had only said one thing to those that committed the failed insurrection: “to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”. I never claimed that Trump did not say this quote on January 6; he did. So it is still unclear how being honest about what Trump said that day SUNK MY CASE?!?

I made it very clear in my post [114] that my reason for posting was to correct your ignorant and/or dishonest statement that Trump only said this one thing that day. In my response to Liz [118], I make clear my entire reason for posting.

Here is why this threw you so badly: your arguments are based on hyperbolic bullshat that requires you to speak dishonestly about otherwise truthful things. Including Trump’s statement did NOT hurt my argument in ANY way… it only made it stronger because it is the TRUTH! It is so telling that you believe my including the quote was slip up on my part — because that is what you do with all your posts (Except when you are too lazy to read past the headline and then we point out how the article says the opposite of what you thought it did).

So go ahead and admit that you were wrong and that I was right…that my argument was the TRUTH. You always claim that you have no problem admitting when you are proven wrong…so have it! Chirp

i'm disappointed in your lack of comment on pie. just a hip-pie and a grou-pie, but no fruit or meat whatsoever. that said, i have sorely missed your sense of humor during your post-election sabbatical.

My tastes these days venture into the ahem.. ADULT areas of pie, so I thought it best to keep such pie-ty comments regarding pie to myself.. :D

Having said that, I have just been introduced to the wonders of a FIRE STICK and caught a show recently UNCENSORED BLOOPERS FROM TV 1950s thru 1980s.. There was a black/white interview with Anita Bryant where she was hit in the face with a pie thrown by a group of gay guys..

"Of course, it would be a fruit pie" she responded... :D

Bigotry aside, I thought that was pretty hilarious.. Not so much WHAT she said but her total poise in delivering such a rejoinder.. :D

But pie aside, I am too excited about the Smoking Gun that's been revealed regarding the Russia Collusion delusion to be distracted by pie..

In my defense however, I DID jump on your pie bandwagon previously.. :D

In Sussmann's meeting with the second U.S. government agency, Durham says he "provided data which he claimed reflected purportedly suspicious DNS lookups by these entities of internet protocol (IP) addresses affiliated with a Russian mobile phone provider," and claimed that the lookups "demonstrated Trump and/or his associates were using supposedly rare, Russian-made wireless phones in the vicinity of the White House and other locations."

Meanwhile, Durham's latest filing states that in July 2016, the tech executive worked with Sussmann, a U.S. investigative firm retained by Law Firm 1 on behalf of the Clinton campaign, numerous cyber researchers and employees at multiple internet companies to "assemble the purported data and white papers."

"In connection with these efforts, Tech Executive-1 exploited his access to non-public and/or proprietary Internet data," the filing states. "Tech Executive-1 also enlisted the assistance of researchers at a U.S.-based university who were receiving and analyzing large amounts of Internet data in connection with a pending federal government cybersecurity research contract."

"Tech Executive-1 tasked these researchers to mine Internet data to establish 'an inference' and 'narrative' tying then-candidate Trump to Russia," Durham states. "In doing so, Tech Executive-1 indicated that he was seeking to please certain 'VIPs,' referring to individuals at Law Firm-1 and the Clinton campaign."

Durham also writes that during Sussmann's trial, the government will establish that among the Internet data Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited was domain name system (DNS) internet traffic pertaining to "(i) a particular healthcare provider, (ii) Trump Tower, (iii) Donald Trump's Central Park West apartment building, and (iv) the Executive Office of the President of the United States (EOP)."

It's really amazing to me that supposedly intelligent people would have bought into this completely obvious bullshit narrative..

The indictment against Sussmann says he told then-FBI General Counsel James Baker in September 2016, less than two months before the 2016 presidential election, that he was not doing work "for any client" when he requested and held a meeting in which he presented "purported data and 'white papers' that allegedly demonstrated a covert communications channel" between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, which has ties to the Kremlin.

Fox News, this weekend, first reported on Durham's filing on Feb. 11. In a section titled "Factual Background," Durham reveals that Sussmann "had assembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two specific clients, including a technology executive (Tech Executive 1) at a U.S.-based internet company (Internet Company 1) and the Clinton campaign."

Durham’s filing said Sussmann’s "billing records reflect" that he "repeatedly billed the Clinton Campaign for his work on the Russian Bank-1 allegations."

You see???

*NOT* a process crime... Unlike the BS "crimes" that President Trump officials were indicted over, THOSE ^^^ crimes are real and actionable crimes..

At this point, Durham has indicted three people as part of his investigation: Igor Danchenko on Nov. 4, 2021, Kevin Clinesmith in August 2020, and Michael Sussmann in September 2021.

Ratcliffe told Fox News’ "Sunday Morning Futures" on Nov. 8, 2021, that he was expecting "many indictments" out of Durham’s special counsel investigation.

Danchenko was charged with making a false statement and is accused of lying to the FBI about the source of information that he provided to Christopher Steele for the anti-Trump dossier. Kevin Clinesmith was also charged with making a false statement. Clinesmith had been referred for potential prosecution by the Justice Department's inspector general's office, which conducted its own review of the Russia investigation.

Specifically, the inspector general accused Clinesmith, though not by name, of altering an email about Page to say that he was "not a source" for another government agency. Page has said he was a source for the CIA. The DOJ relied on that assertion as it submitted a third and final renewal application in 2017 to eavesdrop on Trump campaign aide Carter Page under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

And, unlike the indictments against President Trump's staff, THESE ^^^ crimes are NOT process crimes..

THOSE crimes are actual crimes that were committed in the execution of the Russia Collusion delusion...

EXCLUSIVE: Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe met with Special Counsel John Durham on more than one occasion and told him there was evidence in intelligence to support the indictments of "multiple people" in his investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, sources told Fox News.

Fox News first reported on Durham's latest filing, which alleged that lawyers from Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign in 2016 had paid to "infiltrate" servers belonging to Trump Tower and later the White House, in order to establish an "inference" and "narrative" to bring to federal government agencies linking Donald Trump to Russia.

It is not surprising that elites who see racism everywhere, who have convinced themselves that crime is a natural byproduct of poverty rather than something people also choose to do, who believe that less well-off people cannot be held entirely responsible for their actions, and who have adopted a paternalistic attitude towards black and ethnic-minority communities in particular, are turning against traditional ideas of policing and order.

When yer a hammer, everything looks like a nail..

When yer a racist, you see racism everywhere and in everything..

That's the Democrat Party in a nutshell..

And it is not surprising that their hyper-relativistic, pseudo-radical policies have caused so much harm. Working-class victims of crime, ethnic-minority communities struggling with rising violence – this is the debris of the woke derangement, the collateral damage of a cultural elite’s fashionable abandonment of the belief that it is good and important to tackle crime. Wokeness isn’t only annoying – it’s dangerous.

The simple fact is the Democrat Party has caused great harm to America and Americans...

This is a fact that is indisputable.. As evidenced by no one here disputing the facts... :D

So, given the warnings from political representatives – who were in many cases representatives of the very communities that white liberals claim they want to protect from cops – and given all the survey findings showing that the American people ‘want more spending on police in their area’, how on earth did the Defund the Police idea take off? How did it make its way even into sections of the Democratic Party and into council chambers and high-up political decision-making? How did it come to be swooned over by every supposedly respectable observer from the Guardian to the NYT to, of course, the Twitterati and Instagram influencers?

It’s because the new elites, these noisy purveyors of ‘woke’ thinking who have come to dominate the political and media classes, are now phenomenally removed from ordinary people and from the needs and interests of working communities. To such an extent that they couldn’t even see that there might be a problem with withdrawing police from poor, isolated, atomised communities in which crime and anti-social behaviour are significant problems. The story of Defund, the spectacular collapse of this toxic woke slogan, the hardship this eccentric ideology has caused in many communities, is really a story of the unbridgeable chasm that now separates the decadent new establishment from the reasoned public that wants to enjoy a safe, good, fruitful life.

The evolution of the Democrat Party's DEFUND, DEMORALIZE, DEMONIZE THE POLICE is a story of political elitists ignoring the reality of American society and pushing their anti-America policies and ideological-based agenda...

It's really THAT simple... And anyone who says otherwise is simply pushing that same anti-America anti-LEO and ideologically-based agenda...

Polls over the past year have shown that many working-class Americans are deeply uncomfortable with the idea of defunding the police. Some surveys show that black Americans oppose Defund more than white Americans do. In Minneapolis, for example, where George Floyd was killed, three quarters of black respondents to a poll about policing said the city should not reduce its police force. Black respondents were ‘considerably more opposed [to Defund the Police]’ than white respondents were. In a similar survey in Detroit, a majority of white respondents said ‘police reform’ was the major issue facing their city, whereas a majority of black respondents said ‘public safety’ was their main concern. For them, police reform was the lowest priority. As Slate says, this seemingly incongruous racial disparity can be seen in various parts of the US, where ‘many white people are open to police reform, and many black people are wary of curtailing law enforcement’. A Pew Research survey found that growing numbers of black Americans now want police funding to be increased. Strikingly, black and Hispanic Democrats are more likely than white Democrats to want more spending on cops. Thirty-two per cent of white Democrats want increased police funding, compared with 38 per cent of black Democrats and 39 per cent of Hispanic Democrats.

The facts are clear...

Americans are NOT on the side of the Democrat Party and their DEFUND, DEMORALIZE, DEMONIZE THE POLICE policies..

Especially black Americans, the people that Democrats *claim* they are trying to help..

But, as with most everything else Democrats do, they are not part of the solution.. Democrats ARE the problem..

The facts prove this conclusively..

In numerous cities, there seems to be a pretty clear relationship of causation, or at least of inflammation, between ‘defund’ policies and blow-ups in violent crime. So in Austin, Texas, officials cut $20million from the police budget. This led to the dissolution of some law-enforcement units. ‘In the wake of Black Lives Matter protests this summer [2020], we made a significant cut to policing dollars’, boasted once council member. What happened in 2021? Austin experienced its highest number of homicides in 20 years. Aggravated assault rose, too. ‘Austin police chief says city doesn’t have enough officers’, said a news headline in December. There were cuts to police funding in the city of Los Angeles, too: $89million was taken away from the LAPD and rerouted to other services. With depressing predictability, there were 397 murders in LA in 2021, the most it has experienced in 15 years.

It's PLAINLY obvious to anyone who is a patriotic American and who has more than 2 brain cells to rub together that it was Democrats and their anti-cop policies that DIRECTLY led to a huge explosion of violent crime including the assassinations of dozens of LEOs...

Speaking of New York, crime is surging in NYC, too. Already this year things look bad. An extraordinary 72 of the city’s 77 police precincts have experienced more crime in the first few weeks of 2022 than they did in the same period in 2021. And that’s saying something, given how strange and fraught 2021 was. So far this year there has been a 35 per cent rise in robberies, a 35 per cent rise in rapes and a 30 per cent rise in shooting incidents in NYC compared with the same period in 2021 (killings, however, are down, by 13 per cent). ‘No neighbourhood is safe’, says one Brooklyn cop. Is it a coincidence that this is happening in a city where right-on officials responded to the political tumult of 2020 by agreeing to cut police funding by a whopping $1 billion? Many NYC residents are pretty certain it isn’t. Marisol Sanchez, whose son was shot to death in the Bronx in August last year, slammed the Defund the Police movement, saying that poor communities like hers ‘just don’t see [cops] no more’.

Ironically enough, the Democrat Party's DEFUND, DEMORALIZE, DEMONIZE THE POLICE hurt black Americans the most...

Get that?? Democrat policies hurt the VERY people Democrats claim they want to help...

‘This US city was working to cut its police budget in half – then violent crime started to rise’, said a headline in the Guardian in March 2021, less than a year after that very same bastion of liberal correct-think was telling its readers that defunding cops is the ‘answer’ America is looking for. The March 2021 piece was about Oakland in California, where local officials took the post-Floyd anger of 2020 to heart and made plans to cut police spending by a whopping 50 per cent – around $150million a year. Then the killings started. And other forms of crime. In 2020 there were 107 murders in Oakland, compared with 75 in 2019. The spike in violence led five black members of Oakland’s taskforce on public safety to write a letter warning officials that ‘even more lives will be lost if police are removed without an alternative response being put in place’.

There have been similar rises in violence in other American cities that have planned or actually made cuts to police budgets. Throughout America, homicides rose by 30 per cent in 2020. And they continued rising in 2021. ‘Cities across the US are breaking all-time homicide records this year’, reported CNN in December. CNN reports that more than two-thirds of America’s most populated cities experienced more homicides in 2021 than they did even in 2020. Last year some American cities broke their all-time homicide records. Philadelphia suffered 513 homicides, smashing its previous annual high of 503 in 1990. Indianapolis had 230 homicides, breaking its previous record of 215 – which was in 2020. Things have gotten so bad that even the New York Times has been moved to ask: ‘Why are so many Americans killing one another?’

What IS it about Democrat governance that produces shit-holes???

The idea of ‘Defund the Police’ has been around for a couple of decades. But it exploded into public view following the killing of Floyd in May 2020.

Let's be clear.. George Floyd was a scumbag.. Society today is better off without George Floyd and Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin in it.. This is fact..

This canonization of the Floyds in this country is a BIG part of what's wrong with the Democrat Party.. It proves beyond ANY doubt that the Democrat Party is Pro-Criminal and Anti-Victim...

So, now that THAT fact is established, we can turn our attention to the consequences of the Democrat Party's DEFUND, DEMORALIZE, DEMONIZE THE POLICE policies..

Honestly, what did you people think would happen??

What did ya'all HONESTLY believe would be the consequences of the Democrat Party's DEFUND, DEMORALIZE, DEMONIZE THE POLICE policies??

Did ya'all HONESTLY believe that the crooks, scumbags and assorted low lifes would think to themselves, "Yunno... I should change my ways and forgo a life of crime and hurting/killing people..."

Did ya'all HONESTLY believe THAT would happen??

ANYONE with more than 2 brain cells to rub together would realize that once crooks and scumbags and assorted low-lifes lose respect and fear of LEOs, then it would be open season on LEOs...

How ANYONE who claims to support cops can be a part of the Democrat Party is simply beyond all possible reason or logic..

For EVERY patriotic American out there, that is a deal breaker..

You hate on cops??? You encourage cop killings and cop ambushes and cop attacks??? You support no bail and no consequences for violent crime?? You don't get my vote.. You don't get the vote of ANY sane rational patriotic American..

It's THAT simple... It's so simple even dullards like Russ and cad and vick should realize it...

Hay Russ...

The deadly consequences of Defund the Police

How a woke slogan caused mayhem in America’s working-class communities.

Remember ‘Defund the Police’? It was the slogan du jour of the Black Lives Matter movement. It was being hollered on every street during the protests over the killing of George Floyd by Minnesota cop Derek Chauvin. In those riotous days in the summer of 2020, everyone seemed to be waving a placard or wearing a t-shirt demanding defunding. The entire in-crowd posted those three words on their social-media accounts. Even here in the UK, where cops aren’t armed and where the police-funding model is very different to America’s, the right-on lined up behind the vague, strange call for police forces to be starved of funds. A headline in the impeccably middle-class Guardian declared: ‘The answer to police violence is not “reform”. It’s defunding.’

Glad to see your Sunday Night Music Fest was a success last night..

Other than the forced politics sad episode, it looked like it was a fun time.. I'm glad.. I was afraid I had soured you on it..

But, as annoying as Russ is with his fact-less diatribes, he does bring up an interesting point..

In any case, glad to see you have fun again.. I realize that all the facts about your Democrats is depressing for you, but hay...

Do you want to be happy wallowing in ignorance??

Or do you want to know the facts and the reality??

This "legitimate political discourse" bullshit is a perfect example..

Aren't you glad you now know the FACTS behind the BS???

Going thru life ignorant of reality is no real life at all..

Wouldn't you agree???

Because Senator Rubio's comments flew in the face of the “official” narrative, the senator was branded by the mainstream media as a Trump sycophant (something which his record doesn’t support).

Vanity Fair declared that “Marco Rubio’s mouth refuses to form the words ‘Trump was wrong.’”

Newsweek wrote an entire 400-word story dedicated to a 20-word tweet from Kinzinger to make the point that Rubio was the true embarrassment to Republicans.

Worst of all was the report in Rolling Stone magazine, which couldn’t even bring itself to call Rubio a senator. In its headline the magazine demoted him to simply some guy from Florida who was apparently a hypocrite and a scoundrel: “Florida man who called Trump a ‘con artist’ now smears Jan. 6 committee as a ‘scam.’”

If you want a marker for how low journalism has sunk in the past four decades, that’s probably it. Even the magazine that published Hunter S. Thompson’s acid-tongued pyrotechnic critiques of American political debauchery was now just one more outpost of boot-licking conventional wisdom.

It makes this former hippie (and former editor!) want to cry.

It's a sad sad state of journalism in America today...

It's no wonder that the approval rating of American Media is so low that media pundits look upon President Trump's high approval rating with envy....

But there was one hopeful note. When Margaret Brennan on “Face the Nation” tried to get Sen. Marco Rubio, to condemn the RNC and its resolution, he dug in his heels and pushed back hard:

“Anybody who committed crimes on January 6 should be prosecuted,” he said, “and they are being prosecuted. But the January 6 commission is not the place for this; that’s what prosecutors are supposed to do. This commission is a partisan scam. The purpose of that commission is to try to embarrass and smear and harass as many Republicans as they can get their hands on.”

Bravo, Sen. Rubio. Too bad no supposedly unbiased journalists could figure out the same thing. And if you wonder why most Republicans repeat the Fake News narrative instead of speaking the truth, consider what happened to Rubio when he engaged in actual “legitimate political discourse” without fear or shame.

Bravo indeed, Senator Rubio....

A Flordia Senator.. A patriotic American...

Compare Senator Rubio's words to the mealy mouthed words of Democrats who let Democrat BLM and AntiFa rioters and cop killers get off scot free...

To put it plainly, what was missing last week in almost all of the media reports was one brave reporter who stared back at Jake Tapper or Martha Raddatz or Joe Scarborough and said, “You know that’s not what the RNC resolution said. They never claimed that the violence on January 6 was legitimate political discourse, so let’s set the record straight.”

Anyone read Tom Clancy's EXECUTIVE ORDERS??

There was one brave reporter in that novel that pushed back against the bullshit narrative..

Wish there was such a reporter in the here and now who would push back against this bullshit narrative being perpetrated by the Democrat Party...

The resolution does not specifically define who is being persecuted by the Jan. 6 committee for engaging in “legitimate political discourse,” but you can bet no one on the Republican National Committee thought it was a reference to rioters smashing windows, assaulting police or desecrating the U.S. Capitol. The RNC later explained that the resolution was a reference to Americans being chased down with subpoenas and threatened with jail time because they had supported President Trump’s attempt to prove election fraud. But the media pundits stuck with their initial claim that the RNC had defended political violence. If reporters were doing their real job instead of carrying water for the Democratic Party, they could have looked up “discourse” in the dictionary and discovered that it refers to “written or spoken communication or debate.” There’s no way to apply that word to the Jan. 6 riot unless you are intentionally misleading the public, but that’s just what countless journalists did.

Ya'all's claims with regards to legitimate political discourse = 6 Jan in the eyes of the GOP is a lie.. Pure and simple.. Nothing but unadulterated fact-less bullshit..

And the more you claim the lie is fact the more idiotic and brain-less ya'all look...

It's like claiming that there is no evidence to support fraud in the 2020 election..

Anyone who says those 2 things is either displaying their complete and utter ignorance of the facts or is intentionally lying to serve an anti-America political agenda...

"These are the facts of the case. And they are undisputed."

“Representatives Cheney and Kinzinger are participating in a Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse,” the resolution declared, “and they are both utilizing their past professed political affiliation [with the Republican Party] to mask Democrat abuse of prosecutorial power for partisan purposes.”

In fact, that isn’t what the resolution said at all. No such declaration exists. That is propaganda, plain and simple, and to watch the nation’s most famous newspaper engage in it is terrifying. But it wasn’t just one paper lying; this Democratic Party talking point was repeated nearly verbatim by dozens of anchors and guests on CNN and MSNBC, plus hundreds of reports in newspapers and journals and on the Internet, all repeating the same utter falsehood – that the RNC had made excuses for the Jan. 6 riot and labeled it “legitimate political discourse.”

How do I know it is fake news? Easy. As a journalist with 40 years’ experience, I took the obvious step of reading the resolution for myself. Nowhere does it connect “political discourse” with the Jan. 6 violence. What the Republican National Committee actually did in the resolution was to censure Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger because of their role on the Democrats’ Jan. 6 Select Committee.

And there you have it..

I took the obvious step of reading the resolution for myself. Nowhere does it connect “political discourse” with the Jan. 6 violence.

I too read the facts...

And there is simply NO CONNECTION between the GOP censure of Liz Cheney and 6 Jan....

NONE... ZERO.... ZILCH.... NADA....

Ya'all have been hoodwinked.. LIED to...

And ya'all WILLINGLY believe the lie because ya'all are in the thralls of PTDS... President Trump Derangement Syndrome..

But, as usual, I bring you the FACTS that prove the lies are lies... :D

Again, aren't ya'all SOOO GLAD you have me here to give you the facts??? :D

NONE... ZERO.... ZILCH.... NADA....

Ya'all have been hoodwinked.. LIED to...

And ya'all WILLINGLY believe the lie because ya'all are in the thralls of PTDS... President Trump Derangement Syndrome..

Last week we witnessed one of the most shameful episodes in the history of journalism, as there was a tidal wave of fake reporting about what the Republican National Committee did when it chastised two GOP members of Congress in an exceedingly rare formal act of censure.

According to the New York Times, by passing the censure resolution, “The Republican Party … officially declared the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol and events that led to it ‘legitimate political discourse.’” That was shortened in the online headline to “G.O.P. declares Jan. 6 attack “Legitimate Political Discourse.”

Yep.. This Democrat/Weigantian™ adherence to a complete and utter lie is exactly that...

Shameful.... Also ignorant and complete and utter bullshit..

But that's what passes for "legitimate political discourse" with Democrats and the Democrat Party..

Ignorance... Bullshit...

Ironically enough, despite all that's been done, I don't blame the Weigantia™ administration.. They are simply believing what these Democrat Water Carriers are telling them..

There is no critical analysis.. There is no fact finding.. There is simply complete and total faith and trust in what the Democrat Propaganda Machine is saying..

But that's why I am here.. To show the ACTUAL FACTS....

Aren't ya'all SOOOOO glad ya'all have me here?? :D

‘Legitimate Political Discourse’ Is Latest Media Hoax

‘Legitimate Political Discourse’ Is Latest Media HoaxScott Applewhite, File)
Donald Trump famously called the Fake News Media the “enemy of the people,” but they should more appropriately be called “the enemy of the truth” – especially with regard to how Trump and his supporters are treated.

It is hard to know whether the news anchors and reporters who shape the mainstream narrative are corrupt, stupid or just plain lazy, but they seem to be incapable of doing their basic job of informing the public of the facts.

Democratic lawmakers and some administration officials say that the White House and Schumer did not learn the right lesson from the Build Back Better debacle. Schumer and Klain coordinated an abrupt shift to voting rights, sending the president to Atlanta for a rousing speech ahead of a Senate vote on legislation that could only pass if all 50 Democrats agreed to change the filibuster rule that essentially requires 60 votes to pass legislation.

It had no chance of passing because Manchin and Sinema were explicitly opposed to the rule change. The two moderates voted against changing the rules. Once again, Manchin found himself cast as progressives' bogeyman, as did Sinema, with activists and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) threatening to support primary challenges against them.

"So Manchin walked away [from Build Back Better] because the White House was putting too much of a spotlight on him — and your response to that is to lean in further on voting rights so that he, once again, is seen as the problem?" said one Democratic senator who called the strategy "idiotic."

That describes the totality of Democrat Party governance...

With Biden's agenda hanging by a thread, Democrats question their leaders' strategy

In hindsight, many Democrats say they believe the White House and Schumer should have steered a more moderate course if they wanted to pass anything — a fact that should have been clear to them as early as July. That's when Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Schumer signed an agreement that Manchin would only support $1.5 trillion in spending, less than half of the $3.5-trillion package working its way through Congress. Schumer appeared to disclose Manchin's objections to no one, according to lawmakers and administration officials.

As usual, it's progressives that frak up everything for everybody..

Ya'all Democrats could have had a quarter of a loaf.. Or even a third of a loaf..

But ya'all got greedy and now Democrats have NOTHING..

Nothing but an apocalyptic nuclear uber-shellacking to look forward to in November...

I keep telling ya'all and telling ya'all... Americans do NOT want a Venezuela style government here in the US...

Americans have SEEN where that road leads... And it's not a place we want to be...

Russ,

I did manage to pick out one tidbit from yer frak'ed spewage that was relevant..

He said we have to fight and show strength, but he also said we're very peacefully and patriotically

Your own quotation totally sinks your case... :D

President Trump didn't say anything that Democrats have not been saying to BLM and AntiFa for the past 22 years (collectively)....

So, if President Trump is responsible for 6 Jan, then the Democrat Party is responsible for ALL of the riots committed by AntiFa since Aug of 2007 and ALL of the riots and cop killings committed by BLM since 2013...

There you have it...

Do you want to accept responsibility on behalf of your Democrat Party all the deaths and injuries and damage for all of the actions of BLM and AntiFa for the last 22 years (collectively)???

Do you??

{{cccchhhhiiiiirirrrrppppp}} {{{cccchhhiiiiirrrrrrppppppp}}}

Yea... Figgers... :^/

Russ,

Trump hosted a massive rally called “STOP THE STEAL!” on January 6th that promoted the lie that Trump would have won the 2020 election if not for the voter fraud that occurred in multiple states.

So???

That does not equal insurrection...

We were shown ALL of the evidence they had to prove that Trump won the 2020 election — NOTHING!!! They have absolutely ZERO pieces of

Not factually accurate..

There is a MASSIVE amount of FACTS that PROVE before-election fraud.. All of it is WELL DOCUMENTED...

There was plenty of after-election fraud as well.. ALL well documented..

But even if NONE of that was factually accurate... SO???

None of that is relevant to your claim of insurrection..

As to all your spewage of #114...

NONE of it proves President Trump was part of the "insurrection"...

So, as usual, you have no facts...

Michale obviously was misinformed about what Trump said and did on January 6 because he thinks all that Trump said was for them to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”.. I am sharing with him what was actually said so that he won’t look so foolish in the future. From now on, he won’t be able to claim ignorance if he makes the same claims…he’ll be acknowledging his own dishonesty!

NONE of what President Trump said proves anything with regards to the insurrection..

But let me ask you..

Where was all this fired up passion when cops were being assaulting by the THOUSANDS and KILLED during 22 YEARS (collectively) of Democrat BLM and AntiFa riots??

I mean, com'on.. You claim to be a cop groupie and you claim to support cops, but you have never posting ANYTHING even remotely comparatively, condemning Democrat riots and attacks on hundreds of government buildings all over the country that lasted, collectively, for TWENTY TWO YEARS...

Why is that, Russ?? Why haven't you condemned Democrats and their support of BLM and AntiFa when cops are being beaten and killed by DEMOCRATS??

Where is your passionate condemnation of THAT, eh?

There is none.. Which PROVES beyond ANY doubt that you don't really care about cops, you don't really care about violent protests at all..

You just want a shiny new club to beat President Trump over the head with..

That's all this is..

That's the one I was going to play but I wanted to wait for you!

That is the one; you definitely nailed it. I am remembering a Sunday in late July 2020 where we played both these songs before... and a wet 007. Remember that?

Liz,

I apologize that Sunday night happens to be one of the only nights that I know I’ll have time to commit to posting on here. I promise I did not do it to ruin your night! CW seems not to mind his site being used for other purposes, so I will leave you to your party!

Liz

Russ, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Michale obviously was misinformed about what Trump said and did on January 6 because he thinks all that Trump said was for them to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”.. I am sharing with him what was actually said so that he won’t look so foolish in the future. From now on, he won’t be able to claim ignorance if he makes the same claims…he’ll be acknowledging his own dishonesty!

That’s all for now! Enjoy your Sunday night!

As for what Trump did on January 6:

On 6 January, thousands of Trump supporters gathered at a "Save America" rally organised to challenge the result of last November's presidential election.
They listened as Mr Trump spoke to them on the National Mall, near the White House in Washington DC.

In a 70-minute address, Mr Trump exhorted them to march on Congress where politicians had met to certify Democrat Joe Biden's win. The attack began moments after he took the applause.

So what did he say? Here are five key quotes, followed by some legal analysis from Professor Garrett Epps of the University of Baltimore.

’We won this election, and we won it by a landslide'

This was three minutes into his speech. It was a false assertion that Democrats used as the starting point for the incitement charge - not just because he said it on this day but for weeks before.

This quote appears in the article of impeachment, the charge that was backed by the House of Representatives, lower chamber of Congress.

In the months preceding the Joint Session, President Trump repeatedly issued false statements asserting that the Presidential election results were the product of widespread fraud and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by State or Federal officials. Shortly before the Joint Session commenced, President Trump, addressed a crowd at the Ellipse in Washington, DC. There, he reiterated false claims that "we won this election, and we won it by a landslide".

’We will stop the steal'

Here Trump was echoing the slogan of the movement to fight Mr Biden's election victory, which was started a day after the result was declared.

It soon gathered pace on social media and led to rallies across the US. The largest one yet was the one Mr Trump addressed on 6 January.

’We will never give up. We will never concede. It doesn't happen'

This was Mr Trump saying in the clearest terms yet that he will never accept Mr Biden's win. Referring to himself and his supporters collectively, Mr Trump said there would be no concession.

He went on: "You don't concede when there's theft involved. Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore."

At one point, Mr Trump said the Biden presidency had to be challenged.

"You will have an illegitimate president. That is what you will have, and we can't let that happen."

'If you don't fight like hell you're not going to have a country anymore'

This is the longest quote from Mr Trump's speech that appears in the article of impeachment. It could also be the one that his lawyers will find hardest to defend in the trial.

He also wilfully made statements that, in context, encouraged - and foreseeably resulted in - lawless action at the Capitol, such as: "if you don't fight like hell you're not going to have a country anymore".

However, Mr Trump's lawyers have argued his use of the word "fight" was figurative, which has long been accepted in public discourse.

‘Peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard'

This was the part of Mr Trump's speech that his defenders have seized on to show that he never incited the crowd.

He said: "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."

The language was very different from other sections, which borrowed more from combat or war.

Indeed, Mr Trump's lawyers have suggested they will highlight his use of the word "peacefully" in the trial.

'We are going to the Capitol'

The president used "we" but he didn't join them as his supporters took the short walk from the rally to Congress.

He said: "We're going to walk down to the Capitol and we're going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women, and we're probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them."

Analysis by Professor Epps: What is incitement under the law?

Incitement is not a crime under the First Amendment unless it meets certain criteria.

First of all, it has to be intended to cause violence (and you infer that intent from the circumstances). It also has to be likely to cause violence.

If I go downtown and I say to two drunks standing in front of a bank, "let's rob this bank right now", I haven't really incited anybody, because it's not very likely they'll rob the bank.

If I say let's meet here tomorrow and rip things up, I'm not inciting because - in the words of the Supreme Court - where there is time for better counsels to prevail, the remedy for speech is more speech.

The speech has to be likely to cause - and this is very important - imminent violent action.

If this was a court of law, does Trump cross the line?

It's quite rare that somebody can be convicted of incitement. In applying that to the president's speech at the rally, it's an agonisingly close case.

It's pretty goddamn imminent because he's telling people to march to the Capitol and I will march with you. There wouldn't be any time for better counsels to prevail because you're just going to leave the Ellipse and walk down Pennsylvania Avenue.

He said we have to fight and show strength, but he also said we're very peacefully and patriotically going to ask, so he's covering himself. In the end, I think it's a jury question.

I'm not sure he's entitled to a dismissal of charges as a matter of law. There's some discussion that government leaders have more leeway, but I don't know how that would play out.

He clearly knew there were people in that crowd who were ready to and intended to be violent, and he certainly did nothing to discourage that. He not only did nothing to discourage it, he strongly hinted it should happen.

President Trump's ONLY "involvement" with 6 Jan was he told protesters to remain peaceful..

Trump hosted a massive rally called “STOP THE STEAL!” on January 6th that promoted the lie that Trump would have won the 2020 election if not for the voter fraud that occurred in multiple states.

Of course Trump has failed to produce any evidence demonstrating that any voter fraud occurred that benefitted Biden on Election Day despite Pillow Boy promising us at least 5 times that we would be shown all of the evidence on different dates…and for once they kept their word! We were shown ALL of the evidence they had to prove that Trump won the 2020 election — NOTHING!!! They have absolutely ZERO pieces of

A ‘peek’ inside the White House as bad news piles up for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris

Inflation is soaring and so is murder, swarms of migrants are illegally crossing the border and with Russia ready to invade Ukraine, the best President Biden can do is tell Americans there to run for their lives. Even our Olympic athletes are in a medal funk.

The bad news piles up by the day, prompting a growing chorus to conclude Biden is the worst president ever. Rest easy, Jimmy Carter!

And people here STILL believe that Democrats are OK in the coming mid-terms.. :D

Self-delusion is a wonderful thing.. :D For the deluded.. :D

Hope to see everyone tonight after the big game when we get back on track with our CW Sunday Night Music Festival and Dance Party!

Late tonight, after the Super Bowl, you can play your favourite hot romance tracks. I know you all have a favourite 'get it on' tune and I, for one, can't wait to hear them all.

What's YOUR top makin' love song? Play it later tonight! Or, we could start now, you know, if you just can't wait. :)

Seems to me that Vick was trying to draw a parallel to Biden's failure to deliver and CW's failure to deliver.

Except that there was never any promise by the Weigantian™ administration nor is there any level of spam'ing going on here..

You see, here's the deal..

I post comments about facts and my opinions based on those facts..

People here are always complaining that I don't have any facts.. So I post MORE facts to prove the PREVIOUS facts...

And people STILL dispute those facts..

So, the solution is simple...

Acknowledge the facts.. If that happens, I don't have to spend 100 comments pointing out the facts..

Easy Peezy Lemon Squeezy...

Vick, of course, only wants to concentrate on the original course of action and doesn't want to acknowledge any corrections by CW.

Yep.. Just like a Democrat.. Refuses to acknowledge the progress that has been made...

You are right, at least from my perspective, that I do not want to put in the effort to take you on.

Most people don't.. :D

It's because I post the facts and substantiation for the facts and it overwhelms ANY possible rebuttal..

That's my super power.. :D

I do on occasion try to have a discussion with you.

Yes, you do.. And they are very enjoyable because, aside from minor digs here or there, they are adult, mature and don't de-volve into flame wars.. :D

And on occasion you do sometimes acknowledge things (comment 38).

Yep.. It's called "back and forth"... I'll be the first to admit when I am wrong.. WHEN the facts demand it..

Unfortunately, as with many commenters here, the discussions often become battles of propaganda rather than discussions.

Word.....

Vick is right that CW gets to make the final decisions, but we all have been given the right by CW to post our opinions on the articles, comments and what is and is not proper behavior.

Once again.. Agreed..

The problem for most people here is that they believe that posting FACTS that prove how utterly hate-filled and racist the Democrat Party is, is deemed unacceptable behavior...

How about a bit more discussion and exchange of opinions from all commenters instead of the more usual smearing gazpacho on a shit sandwich?

Could not POSSIBLY agree with you more here, DH...

And THIS is the part I don't understand.. I have asked SF Bear to explain it but, to date, he has refused to..

How does MY posting the facts preclude ANYONE ELSE from posting THEIR facts??

I mean, it's NOT possible..

And, since no one else posts their facts, the *ONLY* logical and rational conclusion is that they have no facts to post...

"Simple logic..."
