All non-Russians would be better off if Russia did not exist.  All Russians except a handful of kleptocrats would be better off if Russia did not exist, and they were citizens of a bunch of normal countries instead of subjects of a belligerent empire.  As for the kleptocrats, they deserve far worse than they would get in any plausible scenario. 

&lt;b&gt;We must get rid of nuclear weapons.  Otherwise, sooner or later, nuclear weapons will get rid of us.&lt;/b&gt;

There were a few occasions during the Cold War when we survived mostly by luck.  We won&#039;t keep being lucky forever.   Russia&#039;s irresponsible use of nuclear threat greatly increases long-term nuclear risk, to the point where overall nuclear risk would be minimized by completely getting rid of Russia now.  That would involve some increase in short-term nuclear risk.  But the way we&#039;re going, long-term nuclear risk is more like a certainty of eventual omnicide than like anything that can accurately be described as a risk.</description>
