China's Xi knows full well that any agreement or deal with Trump isn't really worth the paper it is written on (if it's even written down).

Exactly!

Hold up. Wasn't it Donald Trump and his administration who claimed that Iran's nuclear facilities have been obliterated and suggestions otherwise are fake news? Rhetorical question.

Iran's Nuclear Facilities Have Been Obliterated — and Suggestions Otherwise are Fake News

~ The White House, June 25, 2025

https://www.whitehouse.gov/releases/2025/06/irans-nuclear-facilities-have-been-obliterated-and-suggestions-otherwise-are-fake-news/

Operation Midnight Hammer was quickly followed by Trump and his White House team denouncing as "fake news" any reports that the June strikes on Iran only set back Iran's nuclear program "by a few months."

Fast forward a few months, and Trump is now repeatedly bragging about knocking out Iran's nuclear program while simultaneously threatening to knock out Iran if it doesn't drop its nuclear program: Operation Midnight Gaslight... OMG!

Trump reportedly had added in a demand that Iran completely give up all nuclear materials (the 970 pounds of highly-enriched gaseous uranium that Trump idiotically keeps calling "nuclear dust"), forever forswear all ambitions for a nuclear bomb and forever end all uranium enrichment.

Forever? *laughs* Forever!? *can't stop laughing*

Such an agreement between Iran and the United States would be about as beneficial as the 1994 Budapest Memorandum between Ukraine, the United States, Russia, and the United Kingdom wherein Ukraine gave up the world's third-largest nuclear arsenal in exchange for "assurances" that proved not to be worth the paper they were written on.

So I ask you: What kind of absolute moron would you have to be to believe the utter asinine assertion that Operation Midnight Gaslight would mean anything?

Re Fetterman, Sinema, and probably others I can't think of just now: It's so easy to think that someone new to Democratic national-level politics who is eccentric, whether in dress or otherwise, is going to be reliably Democratic, perhaps even progressive or leftish. Not always, but all too often, appearance is not matched by performance, as in most areas of life.
