I hope you're right about birthright citizenship, but I think they're going to go the other way.

Help... the text of the 14th Amendment is unambiguous and transparently clear, so what other way is there? Different classes of those born in the United States based on where their parents were born and not based at all on where they are born?

something to the effect of "it's the president prerogative to decide during his term how to interpret that clause of the Constitution"

If the SCOTUS actually does that, it could be fun watching a Democratic president in the future deciding to interpret that retroactively and decree that Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz and Marco Antonio Rubio are not (and never have been) United States citizens and then do some more personal interpretation of the Constitution of the United States... beginning (obviously) with the Second Amendment.

Seems like an obvious next move for the North-Korea-ization of the US... the Supreme Court will strike down Trump's tariffs, but say that it is ok for the US not to have to give all the money collected so far back.
