But you know what really fires up the beltway GOP? Not any of the above. Instead, the political class is really angry that the Trump administration may finally bring a four year conflict in Eastern Europe to a close.

~ JD Vance

Four-year conflict!? I mean, really!? How stupid is that!?

It's like the con artist class is really angry that the political class is well aware that both the "conflict" (Vance's term) and Donald Trump having his strings pulled by Putin have been going on for far longer than the four years they keep claiming in their fools' errand to sell the preposterous idea that everything that is happening in Eastern Europe is somehow Joe Biden's fault and would never have started if Trump was president. It's freaking hysterical!

Pay no attention to the fact that the conflict in Eastern Europe and Trump being led around by the nose by his Master Vlad and actions related to it were also reasons for his impeachment (and not for the last time) and definitely happening the entire time that Trump was president. One cannot pretend away the unpleasant facts like invasion of a sovereign nation by Russia and (first) impeachment by ignoring the facts.

Say what you will about the "political class" (McConnell) but he ain't one of the idiots propagandizing the absolute hysterical fiction and revisionist history that the conflict is only four. *laughs*

The only problem is, McConnell's not the only Republican who is instead disgusted at seeing Trump act as Putin's puppet, once again.

Exactly! This Fox Newsian reality TV show presidency isn't exactly in its first season.

"Add to all of this a big ideological fight that is happening under a lot of people's radar -- one that pits (I cannot believe I am writing this) Nazi-friendly and Hitler-approving antisemites against those on the right who are still strong enough to denounce such things as being unacceptable in their party."

A classic. Go, Chris!

Yes: why is the Republican Party in the United States of America even debating the merits of Nazi white supremacy, antisemitism, and genocidal race nationalism? Are there votes to be had from Americans who adore Adolf Hitler? Is this the way to win elections: pledge the mass deaths of Americans we don't like? Institute Race Laws that say who shall live and who shall die? Vote Republican: Sieg Heil!

What is this BS? Why is this a thing? Does Trump even understand this part of his 'movement' and his 'base': Screw Eisenhower, screw 'Saving Private Ryan', screw the Greatest Generation, and embrace National Socialism and its swastika and its death camps?

Whither the GOP, the 'Grand Old Party' founded to combat race slavery and racial prejudice?
