This could be due to Elon Musk dragging Trump's numbers down. Musk is already pretty unpopular -- only 34 percent approve of the job he's doing, while 49 percent disapprove.

I had to look this up. It appears to be a reference to a hockey game between the US and Canada taking place tonight (Feb. 20th).

I'd be cheering for the U.S., if I gave a damn about hockey. And I love Canada, our cousin and neighbor, too much to ever refer to her, even as a joke, as the "51st state". That's just sucking up to Trump and his vulgar imperialist fantasies.

That is, you're pointing out that Trump's polling numbers are heading south in many areas. More and more people disapprove of his policies and actions, whether by him or by Musk. You note that *everyone* in America (practically) thinks he should obey a court order to stop doing something the court deems illegal.

But why? Why should Trump obey the Courts just because the American people would like that? Clearly he doesn't want to obey the Courts, and in my opinion he will not cave to any kind of adverse decision, probably not even a Supreme Court decision.

He owns the Justice Department. He owns the FBI. He owns the top-level Federal bureaucracy. He owns the Republican majority in Congress, both Houses. He owns the mainstream media, in working terms. He has a base of somewhere between 25% and 45% (depending on the issue at hand) who really, really like him and want him to continue being Trump. What in reality is going to happen if he defies a court order? What?

"Who's going to make me?" in playground lingo - the only lingo Trump understands.
