Bashi,

Al "Crazed Sex Poodle" Gore said much the same words in the 2000 election. How do we know this?? Because the head of Gore's legal team TOLD us...

No soup for you.

As for sucking up being a crime, it is when it's used to peddle government influence. Which is EXACTLY how Hunter used Basement Bidens sucking up.

Glad to have you on record saying that President ELECT Trump doing to Democrats what Democrats have done to President Trump for the last 9 years is perfectly acceptable.

I can work with that. :)

What I want to do is this. I just want to find, uh, 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have, because we won the state.

You mean, the audio of Basement Biden sucking up to Hunter Biden's chinese clients??

If sucking up was a crime, Trump's entire entourage would be imprisoned. What was the specific crime. Trump's was blatant election interference...

MyVoice,

I think we read John's comment the same way. Mostly because it was very clearly written.

I was just trying to have a little fun with it ... and him. :)

I know, I know ... I suck at it but I still try to have some fun around here.

Thanks for clarifying. We're good and thank you for the compliment. I didn't read John's note the way you did, though, which just goes to prve that one's mileage may vary here.

Yes, politico. Each accusation has links and some go to Trump's truth social account. On this one you are completely wrong no matter how many logical fallacies you toss out.

Bashi,

Even if President ELECT Trump HAD said that...

Would you have a problem with President Trump doing exactly to Democrats what Democrats had done to President Trump over the last 4 years??

Why?? Isn't what is good for the goose is good for the gander??

Liz,

I don't know just how scared people should be about Trump taking the reins of power again but it seems to me that they have to take his word at face value when Trump says he is out for revenge.

Bashi,

But genetically or mentally they are not men either but somewhere in between.

Exactly..

So, since they are NOT real women, they don't belong in women's sports..

Call them transwomen and create sports categories based on the science.

So we would have men's sports for men who are real biological men.

Transmen sports for biological women who are pretending to be men.

Women's sports for women who are real biological women.

A transwomen sports for biological men who are pretending to be women.

You accept that??

As for agreeing on scientific fact, you would have to know more about science and occasionally back up your "scientific" proclamations by linking to some.

The science exists and is real science whether I post the link or not..

The fact that you think otherwise is why you fail at science.. :eyeroll:

Surgery is very rare before they are legally adults and hormone blockers reversible.

Bullshit.. That's a political assessment that is completely devoid of fact...

JL,

since you kept mentioning the name, i looked it up. people are entitled to be called whatever they prefer, irrespective of how well or poorly it lines up with their biology.

Really?? So science and FACT do not enter into it whatsoever??

So, if I were to state that my pronoun is "Lord" and demand that you refer to me by my chosen pronoun, you would acquiesce to my demand??

Is THAT how that works??

donald was found guilty of fraud by a new york jury because he pretended that his personal and/or campaign expenses were business expenses, when he knew they weren't.

And Mulvaney is committing the same kind of fraud because she is claiming to be a woman and those claims are factually and scientifically a lie and he is making millions of dollars off that lie..

Now, if Mulvaney would admit that he is actually a man and he is simply playing a role, ala MRS DOUBTFIRE than there would be no fraud..

But he's not, so there is..

Mulvaney is lying about his assets just like ya'all accuse President ELECT Trump of doing.

But in the case of President ELECT Trump NO ONE got hurt with his alleged fraud.. There was NO VICTIM in President ELECT Trump's fraud..

In Mulvaney's case, there are hundreds if not thousands of victims who have been mutilated and have died due to Mulvaney's fraud...

. that's not "fraud" it's personal preference. to borrow your example,

It IS fraud if he is making millions off of the lie..

as far as hunter biden is concerned, i found that development disappointing but not surprising.

Agreed.. I knew that Basement Biden was lying just like I knew that Democrats were lying when they claimed Basement Biden was "sharp as a tack"...

Just like I knew that Headboard Harris couldn't win the election..

I don't have a problem with a father pardoning his son.. I would do the same..

I DO have a problem with the father LYING about it..

since donald is going to control the executive branch in a month and a half, and has vowed to use the government as an instrument of vengeance against anyone who he thinks has done him wrong,

And, you have a problem with that??

You have a problem with President Trump doing to Democrats exactly what Democrats have done to President Trump??

Why is that??

i can't say for sure that i wouldn't do the same if i were president biden and it was my screw-up son who was due to be sentenced.

As I said, I don't have a problem with a father protecting his son..

But Basement Biden KNEW he was going to pardon the First Druggie from day one..

This is one of those instances of blatantly LYING about it..

And ya'all don't seem to like lies...

Unless ya'all are conceding that ya'all just don't like lies when they come from President Trump?? That ya'all believe that lies from Democrats are perfectly accecptable...

Trans women are NOT real women..

But genetically or mentally they are not men either but somewhere in between.

As for agreeing on scientific fact, you would have to know more about science and occasionally back up your "scientific" proclamations by linking to some.

What about the hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of mentally ill boys and girls children who have their bodies mutilated by chemical and surgical means in a vain attempt to affirm their mental illness..

Surgery is very rare before they are legally adults and hormone blockers reversible. "Mutilated" is a purely political term in this case...

MyVoice,

Gosh, Liz, I had no idea there was a limit on how long comments relating to a topic of the column could be posted. It's almost as though one has to read and respond in a timely manner no matter what is going on in one's life. Perhaps you'd be kind enough to refresh us all on the sundown rules here. Much appreciated.

Liz was responding to JMCT's passive aggressive comment that ALL comments should be about the subject of the commentary and ONLY about the subject of the commentary..

That is a ridiculous position to take for a political blog.. Especially in light of all that is going on for the past 4 or 5 days...

I agree with Liz...

JL,

if her fame can help a few people not want to hurt themselves, it's great,

But that is not what is happening.

The fraud, Mulvaney, is convincing impressionable mentally ill young men and women that, if they mutilate their bodies with drugs and surgery, then they will obtain nirvana and they will finally be happy..

So, these impressionable mentally ill young men and women follow Mulvaney's advice and find that they are STILL not happy, STILL not fulfilled and then they kill themselves

THAT is the reality of what Mulvaney is doing...

incorrect. "women" is not a scientific classification, it is a social one.

And NOW we're back to redefining words to fit a political agenda..

We're back to fighting about what the definition of 'is' is...

:eyeroll:

and if dylan were to claim those then it would be false,

Yes, Mulvaney is claiming to be a woman.. Is claiming to be a female. Depending on the age of the person in question, "female" and "woman" are interchangeable..

anyone who isn't being directly harmed by this should mind their own business.

What about the hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of mentally ill boys and girls children who have their bodies mutilated by chemical and surgical means in a vain attempt to affirm their mental illness..

We shouldn't care about those??

Sorry, JL.. That's a bridge too far for me..

Trans women are NOT real women.. This is a scientific fact that NO amount of political ideological bias can change..

If we can't agree on that basic scientific fact, then no common ground is possible..

Trans women are NOT women.

incorrect. "women" is not a scientific classification, it is a social one. genetically and anatomically female ARE scientific classifications, and if dylan were to claim those then it would be false, and if she made money by convincing people that it were true, at least a tort if not a misdemeanor. however, she's not lying about her genetics or her anatomy, just identifying socially in a way that's different from some people's expectations. anyone who isn't being directly harmed by this should mind their own business.

Joshua,

You are the first that I've heard since the pardon was announced to suggest that the election of Trump had anything to do with Biden's reversal.

I'm thinking that if Trump had not won a second term in the WH then Biden would have been at least far less likely to issue a pardon if he issued one at all.

I don't know just how scared people should be about Trump taking the reins of power again but it seems to me that they have to take his word at face value when Trump says he is out for revenge. I'm guessing that this played a huge role in Biden changing his mind about pardoning his son and over such a long timeframe dating back to 2014.

The fact that you refer'ed to the guy as "her" would indicate that you HAVE heard of him.

since you kept mentioning the name, i looked it up. people are entitled to be called whatever they prefer, irrespective of how well or poorly it lines up with their biology. that's not "fraud" it's personal preference. to borrow your example, if i demanded to be referred to as wolfie the alpha wolf and applied to make that my legal name, that's what people would be expected to call me. i don't need 78 chromosomes or a self-grown fur coat to choose that for my identity.

donald was found guilty of fraud by a new york jury because he pretended that his personal and/or campaign expenses were business expenses, when he knew they weren't. i know a lot of donald's supporters want to make it out to be part of a whole conspiracy, but really just about anyone in new york could get dinged for lousy record-keeping, that's just how obnoxious the state of new york is, and every jury member knew that because they live here.

as far as hunter biden is concerned, i found that development disappointing but not surprising. massive reversal, definitely. since donald is going to control the executive branch in a month and a half, and has vowed to use the government as an instrument of vengeance against anyone who he thinks has done him wrong, i can't say for sure that i wouldn't do the same if i were president biden and it was my screw-up son who was due to be sentenced.

MyVoice,

Seriously? I mean, SERIOUSLY!!!???

Did you read the comment that I was responding to? No, obviously you did not.

Okay, fine, my bad. I should have noted on my comment who I was responding to and you could have saved yourself some unnecessary tapping. :)

But, then again, I did direct my comment to John, so that should have been the first clue.

And, to be clear, there are no sundown rules here. Never have been, never will. Or I'd be guilty of breaking the rule, myself. Which never happens, you understand. Ahem.

Gosh, Liz, I had no idea there was a limit on how long comments relating to a topic of the column could be posted. It's almost as though one has to read and respond in a timely manner no matter what is going on in one's life. Perhaps you'd be kind enough to refresh us all on the sundown rules here. Much appreciated.

insisting that some class of people need to be bullied and ostracized is not ok,

No one is saying it IS ok...

But insisting some class of people need to be put on a pedestal and shower'ed with money and un-earned opportunity is ALSO not ok..

i had never even heard of Dylan M before Mike brought her up.

The fact that you refer'ed to the guy as "her" would indicate that you HAVE heard of him.. :D

if her fame can help a few people not want to hurt themselves, it's great, and no politician should be permitted to interfere or encourage bullying.

He's a fraud who is making millions lying to people..

Fraud is a crime.. I thought ya'all were all about the whole LAW thing, eh?? :^/

I mean, you are on record as stating that President Trump was wrong to inflate the value of his assets..

Why is THAT wrong and Dylan Mulvaney inflating the value of HIS assets perfectly acceptable??

Fraud is fraud...

but on the other hand, trans women against xx women in sports is not equal competition, especially when there are economic consequences to the competition.

Just as there are economic consequences to Dylan Mulvaney's fraud..

Put another way..

If you put 100 women and 10 men on an island, in 100 years you would have a thriving community of men and women and boys and girls..

If you put 100 trans women and 10 men on an island, in 100 years you would have 110 male skeletons..

Trans women are NOT women..

THIS is what SCIENCE says...

If you claim to be about science, then you have to acknowledge this one simply fact..

Trans women are NOT women.. Period. End Trans..

@m/caddy,

there are fake issues and there are real issues, it's not mutually exclusive. the punching down aspect really is some of the worst of human bigotry. insisting that some class of people need to be bullied and ostracized is not ok, regardless of whatever it is they're dealing with. i had never even heard of Dylan M before Mike brought her up. if her fame can help a few people not want to hurt themselves, it's great, and no politician should be permitted to interfere or encourage bullying.

but on the other hand, trans women against xx women in sports is not equal competition, especially when there are economic consequences to the competition. I'm not going to defend the success of lia lebowe against xx women. no matter what sorts of ridiculous straw men the right throws out there about made up and/or exaggerated sports injuries, the competition is still unequal.

I'm also not going to fault the right for exploiting the left's division and weakness on the topic. if the roles were reversed I'm sure we'd do the same.

Hunter lost me when he went to work for a Ukrainian company whilst his father was in charge of the, ah, Ukrainian file.

That was as stupid as it comes.

And, considering some of the bonehead moves that have come from this administration, THAT really says something.. :D

For the OLD FARTS here who grew up on spaghetti westerns, RCP's latest entry will bring nostalgic feelings of yesteryear to the surface..

Rather then posting excepts, as I am wont to do, I will simply post the first few paragraphs and the link..

I hope ya'all read it.. It's a VERY good read, irregardless of your political leanings.. :D

Trump’s Wild Bunch Is Ready for Action

If for no other reason than that it will elicit fear in the hearts of autocracy-phobics, I propose that Donald Trump’s second-term Cabinet be known as “The Wild Bunch.”

The name is best known as the title of Sam Peckinpah’s classic 1969 western featuring a colorful cast of aging outlaws – William Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Edmond O’Brien, Warren Oates, and Ben Johnson – who give it their all as they battle bounty hunters, the Mexican Federal Army, and the passage of time in order to make their mark while they still have a chance.

Substitute the legacy media and special interests for the bounty hunters and Mexican army, and that about sums up the desperate last-chance mission of the ragtag band Trump has put together to carry out his mandate of meaningful change in a government grown fat and corrupt for the past half-century.
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2024/12/02/trumps_wild_bunch_is_ready_for_action_152020.html#2

Personally, I liked the part best where the author explains why the 2nd President Trump administration is going to be soo much different... and sooo much better than the 1st President Trump administration..

This is exactly why I am advising Democrats to join President Trump in making America GREAT again..

Because if Democrats DON'T join President Trump, then President Trump will simply drive the Trump Train right over the top of Democrats..

Either way, I'll be happy.. :D

It's going to be a WILD 4 years!! :D

Looks like a lot of Biden supporters didn't like being played for fools...

Biden Supporters Slam Hunter Biden Pardon Decision: ‘Utter Bullshit!’

Smart person texts me: “Joe Biden has just removed the issue of pardons from the political arena for the next four years and Trump probably once again can’t believe his own dumb fucking luck at this point”

Sadly, I think he’s right.
-MSNBC's Charlie Kirk

This is utter bullshit, just plain wrong, & stupidly selfish. Shame on you @POTUS, you’ve given Trump license now to dole out favors to his family & wealthy friends. And when he does, you’ve given his supporters the opportunity to say “everyone does it.” And btw Biden, you lied.
-Democrat Joe Walsh

A colossally selfish decision that will allow every Trump supporter to note that Democrats say one thing and do another
-CNN's Chris Cillizza

I discussed here how I voted for Harris despite feeling like Democrats indulged in a lot of bad behavior that voters were rational to punish. After the White House lying about the Hunter pardon I'm not sure how much more I can tolerate. A selfish and senile old man.
-Democrat Nate Silver

Noting that Biden here writes of telling the truth to the American people—while not explaining how he lied to them before when he said he would not pardon his son.
-Democrat Susan Glasser

So, Basement Biden's complaint is that the DOJ "selectively" and "unfairly" prosecuted his son..

The kicker here is IT'S BASEMENT BIDEN'S OWN DOJ!!!

So much for the Democrat's claim about respect for the rule of law, eh? :eyeroll:

Well, the GOOD news about all this is it takes any teeth out of ya'all's whining about President ELECT Trump's so-called "crimes"...

Now ya'all have NO ARGUMENT at all.. :D

The background color screwing up when the screen is in 'dark mode' is something I never would have known about, and perhaps Chris is in the same position. Likewise it's easy to forget to police links that aren't part of the blogger's daily routine.

Thanks, MyVoice and MtnCaddy!

"Without aggravating factors like use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser, people are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form.
Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given non-criminal resolutions. It is clear that Hunter was treated differently."

Just as President ELECT Trump was being treated differently..

Even DEMOCRATS are scorching Basement Biden..

"While as a father I certainly understand President Joe Biden’s natural desire to help his son by pardoning him, I am disappointed that he put his family ahead of the country.

This is a bad precedent that could be abused by later Presidents and will sadly tarnish his reputation. When you become President, your role is Pater familias of the nation.

Hunter brought the legal trouble he faced on himself, and one can sympathize with his struggles while also acknowledging that no one is above the law, not a President and not a President’s son."
-Democrat Colorado Governor Jared Polis

Ironic that Polis is defending "the rule of law" when he is on record that he wants to break the law to help illegal immigrant criminals.

Typical Democrat hypocrisy...

Hypocrisy. It's not a bug in Democrat programming. It's a feature.

And Polis is ALSO wrong about the POTUS not being above the law..

Thanx to Democrat machinations, the SCOTUS has determined that the POTUS IS above the law..

Which has always been the case but, thanx to Democrat stoopidity, it's now codified into law..

Great job, Dims!!! :D

President ELECT Trump raises a very good point..

Basement Biden should pardon all the 6 Jan persecuted who didn't commit any violent crimes..

That was one of Basement Biden excuses for pardoning First Druggie Hunter..

Basement Biden should apply that same standard to the 6 Jan persecuted whose ONLY "crime" was walking in past the cops to take a look around..

But, of course, a DEMOCRAT would never do what's best for the country..

Only what's best for the Democrats.. :eyeroll:

President Biden officially pardoned his son Sunday night

Liz,

I think you misunderstood me..

When I said "If Russia was a candidate for NATO" I mean Russia not being run by a dictator with designs on re-creating the USSR..

For those of you too young to remember, the USSR was the country before Saint Ronald Reagan destroyed the evil empire..

@ChrisWeigant,

I would ask you to re-consider the parchment background, unless you can get it to cooperate with dark mode. I am a Chrome user and find that the parchment doesn't change color, while the text on it is reversed and well nigh impossible to read. I have to select it all to read. All of your side panels and the comments do work nicely, but any text directly on the parchment is invisible ink. Thanks!

In 2024 Repugs talked about trans folk waaay more than Dems. This to get voters to punch DOWN at a marginalized group so they don’t punch UP at the group responsible for Reaganism aka neo-liberalism crushing the American Dream. This group is the donor class of BOTH parties. Distract and divide.

They had to switch to vilifying trans folk because vilifying the Gays doesn’t work anymore. And I remember not hearing much about immigration…until Dubya’s favorables dropped below 50%.

Regarding trans in sports I say Let Freedom ring! Let each sporting league/entity on the high school, college and professional level make up their own minds, duh.

Legislation on the Federal level is like legislation to regulate later term abortions. Both solve problems that don’t exist and distract from what matters.

"I’ll tell you what hasn't changed is the importance of leverage. And I got to say, you look at the threat of tariffs against Mexico and Canada. It immediately has produced action. We've seen the president of Mexico stand up and promise that she is going to work hand in hand with the President of the United States, President Trump, to secure the border,"

Bashi,

I don't know if you missed it or not, but I answered your question on what I thought about President ELECT Trump's plan on using the threat of tariff's to bend Mexico and Canada to his will..

I think it's an AWESOME plan and it worked EXACTLY as planned!!! :D

President ELECT Trump is not even in office yet and he's already kicking ass...

I disagree.

Ukraine in NATO would only make sense if Russia was also in NATO.

And, who knows, perhaps one day in the very distant future, that or something equivalent might just happen!

Joining NATO would DEFINITELY be in Ukraine's best interests..

Safety in numbers and all that..

But Ukraine would have to clean up their act considerably considering all the racism and corruption in the Zelensky government.

Given Russia's proclivities, NATO membership is definitely a plus for Ukraine..

Sure it should be Ukraine's choice and perhaps Zelensky or rather whomever is the next Ukrainian leader will see the light and decide that being in NATO is not in Ukraine's nor in any other nation's best interests.

Putin thought he could take the whole country. He couldn't and he didn't. He lost ... within a few months of his 2022 invasion.

Yea pretty much. When I said Russia had won I meant in the sense they have a foothold in Ukraine and Zelensky can't dislodge Russia from that foothold no matter how many bodies Zelensky throws at them..

I don't think Ukraine should have to give up anything but no one cares, least of the participants, what I think.

I agree completely. And, in a perfect world, Ukraine would get back all that Russia has taken.. Unfortunately, this ain't a perfect world and Biden royally scroo'ed da pooch with their initial response..

Ukraine in NATO remains a far less than stellar notion.

I am still of the mind that THAT should be Ukraine's choice..

Russia has NO CAUSE to fear a border with NATO..

ALL of Eastern Europe have GREAT and FACTUAL cause to fear a border with Russia..

Ukraine might win back the rest of its territory, in time, but it ain't gonna happen on a battlefield.

I can't see how Ukraine can do that. To accomplish that diplomatically, Ukraine must be a significant threat to Russia militarily..

I don't see THAT happening at all..

Basement Biden totally frak'ed up the FEMA response to Hurricane Helene in North Carolina.. They are STILL counting their dead in the area and the head of DHS said that FEMA was running out of money..

So, what does Basement Biden do??

Goes in their and rips out the one thing of beauty that survived the hurricane..

The ripped out the beautiful huge fraiser fir to use it for the White House Christmas tree..

It is so fitting for the Biden family to take one beautiful resilient thing, cut it down, use it for their own benefit, and then toss the remainders when they are done.
It is representative of how that family has treated the White House and America.

How TONE DEAF do Democrats have to be to do something like this?? :eyeroll:

Well, that's kind of the point, Michale, not much has changed as a result of this stupid and destructive war.

Well, the blame is with Putin..

Although Zelensky's hands aren't exactly clean either..

I have always been of the opinion that Ukraine shouldn't have to give up shit. They should get all their land back PLUS Odessa...

Now, I am of the opinion that, in order to bring this war to a close, Ukraine must accept that Russia has won. And to the victor go the spoils..

NATO membership is a reasonable consolation prize for Ukraine..

Despite being the party of progressivism, we are hesitant to progress with the evolving political world. We reuse the same candidates, the same message and the same strategies, expecting to achieve new results. To many voters, our party represents the status quo.
-Democrat Former State Senator David Carlucci

That is EXACTLY the problem with Democrats and the Democrat Party...

They NEVER look in the mirror and say "Hmmmm Maybe the problem is US..."

Democrats ALWAYS go with the same people and the same message and the same strategies and then they wonder why the never get a different result than having their asses handed to them...

I mean, honestly..

If THIS complete and utter shellacking and decimation of Democrats all up and down the line doesn't wake up Democrats...

NOTHING will.... :eyeroll:

But hay.. It's better for America if Democrats NEVER wise up... :D

Let's turn to economics..

Not my favorite subject to be sure, but some things really stand out, even to an economic-challenged person such as myself..

For instance.. GO WOKE, GO BROKE is not just a slogan but it's a fact of life in the here and now..

Companies and corporations are reverting back to the old way of doing things were business exists to DO business, not be social justice warriors..

Go woke, go broke is real. It's time for American businesses to get back to basics

American businesses can finally put a stake in the heart of stakeholder capitalism

Since Donald Trump’s reelection, U.S. stock markets and investor confidence have been on a tear. The reason is simple. After a decade of companies apologizing for not being progressive enough on causes ranging from the environment to diversity initiatives to support for Palestine, investors know corporations can once again unapologetically focus on delivering value for shareholders.

The horrors of stakeholder capitalism are finally over.

"There is one and only one social responsibility of business—to use its resources and engage in activities designed to increase its profits so long as it stays within the rules of the game, which is to say, engages in open and free competition without deception or fraud."
-Economist Milton Friedman, 1970

All of that changed with the advent of Stakeholder Capitalism, which began in earnest in 2019...

The effects were swift. American companies found themselves at the mercy of vocal progressive activists representing stakeholders, who wielded far more influence than the average shareholder.

Oil and gas firms could no longer prioritize delivering affordable, dependable, and plentiful energy to the American public. Instead, they were compelled to issue apologies for carbon emissions and set ambitious net-zero goals, often ignoring the long-term implications for energy demand.

Tech companies were no longer free to connect people online and foster open discussions. Instead, they were pressured to police "misinformation" and "hate speech," terms whose definitions shifted with the political trends of the moment, and apologize for any perceived lapses.

Consumer brands—whether breweries, entertainment giants, or retailers—were no longer simply promoting their products. They now faced demands to apologize for failing to meet standards of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), while adhering to directives from groups like the Human Rights Campaign to amplify LGBTQ+ representation and establish gender transition policies.

Businesses could no longer openly support the military or law enforcement. Instead, they issued mea culpas for alleged roles in perpetuating systemic racism, redirecting hundreds of millions of dollars to causes like Black Lives Matter as acts of contrition.

Freedom is within reach. Looking ahead, businesses are beginning to free themselves from the constraints imposed by stakeholders. Controversial initiatives like ESG and DEI were already on the verge of collapse before Trump’s election, and now their demise is accelerating. Trump has made it clear he intends to ban ESG factors in retirement plans and curtail ESG-related shareholder proposals. Companies like Tractor Supply, Harley-Davidson, and Miller-Coors have already done away with their ESG and DEI initiatives—and they’ve done so unapologetically.

The market is reacting positively. American capitalism is experiencing a resurgence, with traditional business practices making a comeback. With hope, more companies will take the same path. The last thing anyone wants is a sequel to the stakeholder capitalism nightmare.

GO WOKE GO BROKE is the way of life in the here and now..

And it couldn't come at a better time! :D

Dylan whoever is an actor not an athlete.

OK.. Let's talk about Lea Thompson or Blaire Fleming. Two guys who suffer from NONE of the physical maladies that you describe and are simply too cowardly or not good enough to compete in men's sports.

You see what I am doing here, eh??

Trying to find areas of commonality that we can agree on..

But you seem to go out of your way to emphasis the areas we disagree on..

Why is that??

Is it so horrible to actually find common ground?? :D

Four years ago about this time, Democrats we're giddy...

Fast forward four years later...

Celebrated by liberals four years ago as the great Trump slayer, Basement Biden is exiting his self-imposed one term with his lowest approval rating ever.

A new Emerson College survey released Tuesday morning shows just a third of America, 36%, approve of the Democrat while 52% disapprove. The poll analysis called Basement Biden’s rating “a four-year low for the president in Emerson polls.”

President ELECT Donald Trump, meanwhile, is returning to the White House with one of his highest approval ratings ever, 54%. That is 6 points higher than his pre-election approval, showing strongly that America likes what they’ve seen out of Mar Lago so far.

And it’s not just MAGA. Approval of President ELECT Trump is spread across a wide spectrum of the country, just like his election support.

53% of hispanic voters approve of President ELECT Trump.. :D

28% of black voters approve of President ELECT Trump.. :D

A new Gallup survey out Tuesday pegged Basement Biden’s approval at a sickly 37% and said people are dissatisfied with where the country is going under his leadership.

It's no wonder Democrats are feeling a tad disillusioned.. :D

HA!!

California is STILL counting votes!!!

The speed of a men's volleyball spike can range from 61.2 km/h (38.6 m/s) to 112.3 km/h (69.78 m/s). The average velocity of a spike is over 22 m/s, with the fastest being 31 m/s. Back row spikes are faster than front spikes and quick spikes.

In comparison, the average speed of a women's volleyball spike is between 45.8 km/h (28.46 m/s) and 82.5 km/h (51.26 m/s).

The injuries suffered by real women when being hit in the face by a spike from a biological male is a hundred times worse..

It's the difference between being hit by a tricycle vs being hit by a mack truck..

Biological men DO NOT BELONG in women's sports..

The facts that PROVE this are as overwhelming as they are conclusive..

The fact that you people IGNORE these facts is the same fact that you ignore all the terrorist threats against President ELECT Trump's selectees..

Because the Democrat agenda is more important to you than the safety and security of the American people..

And that's just sad...

And THAT is why Democrats got their asses handed to them in the 2024 election..

Because the American people are sick and tired of Democrats who put their agenda BEFORE the safety and welfare of the American people..

Just ask Laken Riley's parents.. Or the families of the THOUSANDS of people who have been raped and killed by illegal immigrants..

THEY will tell you how sick and tired Americans are of Democrats putting their agenda before the American people..

Russ,

I’m still waiting for you to publish these cases of women being “brutally injured by men playing in women’s sports”. What makes their injuries qualify as being “brutal” compared to other injuries females received playing in women’s sports with women?

I have already posted two..

How many of these injuries were specifically caused by the opponent being trans and were not typical injuries associated with competing?

Hundreds... Can't you read???

All you need to do is search WOMEN GIRLS INJURED IN SPORTS COMPETING WITH BIOLOGICAL MEN and you will see HUNDREDS of examples..

I would use DOGPILE as you get a lot of bias'ed bullshit from GOOGLE..

What should we say to the hundreds hurt by trans-athletes that we aren’t saying to the tens of thousands of female athletes that are injured by cis-gendered female athletes every year?

The speed of a men's volleyball spike can range from 61.2 km/h (38.6 m/s) to 112.3 km/h (69.78 m/s). The average velocity of a spike is over 22 m/s, with the fastest being 31 m/s. Back row spikes are faster than front spikes and quick spikes.

The facts that PROVE this are as overwhelming as they are conclusive..

Allowing Biological Men to play in women's sports is a POLITICAL agenda that totally disregards the REAL safety issues that face REAL women..

Typical of Democrats.. Putting their un-American agenda BEFORE the safety of Americans..

THAT is why they got their asses handed to them in the 2024 election..

THAT is why President ELECT Trump won the popular vote by a considerably great margin and totally decimated Has Been Harris in the Electoral Vote..

Americans are sick and tired of the Demcorat Party Agenda.

No one is choosing to be trans in order to be more successful at playing competitive sports.

You have ZERO in the way of facts to support that claim..

Provide FACTS that show the bunch of luser men that are playing in women's sports suffer from ANY physical malady that would allow them to be considered for women's sports..

I'll wait.. :D

Anyone who even suggests this is a fuggin’ moron that is obviously suffering from their own deep-seated sexual issues that they are desperately trying to suppress.

What IS it about you people that you have to make everything about sex??

Not getting enough?? :eyeroll:

Bashi,

My guess would be he got the 0.017% from some blog post or comment in another of his haunts that references the NIH.

Yea.. It's called GOOGLE..

Perhaps you have heard of it.. :eyeroll:

JL,

As I have stated, I concede that there ARE legitimate medical related problems..

We have also agreed that people suffering from those medical issues are NOT real men or real women.

The only point of contention is HOW MANY there are in the US..

Whether the number is .05% or .017% as NIH states, the number is too low to allow a blanket policy that forces women and girls to compete against biological men.

YOU have yet to address the fact that the Dylan Mulvaneys and the lusers who can't handle REAL men sports DON'T HAVE ANY OF THESE MALADIES.

They are simply lusers who want attention so they cosplay as women or bigger lusers who can't handle playing in REAL men's sports so they cosplay as women to compete in female sports..

When are you going to address the REAL issue???

I suspect you are refusing to address the real issue because you agree with me... :D

And we CAN'T have that, now can we.. :D

Michale,

And you, like Russ, ignore the VERY real threats that REAL women and girls are getting brutally injured by men playing in women's sports..

I’m still waiting for you to publish these cases of women being “brutally injured by men playing in women’s sports”. What makes their injuries qualify as being “brutal” compared to other injuries females received playing in women’s sports with women?

JL said the risk of serious physical harm to those playing against trans athletes is truly negligible, to which you replied,

”Tell that to the hundreds who HAVE been physically harmed..”

How many of these injuries were specifically caused by the opponent being trans and were not typical injuries associated with competing? I have yet to find a story where the injuries would be considered news-worthily-excessive if you ignored whether the person involved was either trans or cis-gendered.

What should we say to the hundreds hurt by trans-athletes that we aren’t saying to the tens of thousands of female athletes that are injured by cis-gendered female athletes every year? People get injured when playing competitive sports — that is to be expected. The fact is that there are not trans athletes causing excessively brutal injuries to cis-gendered female athletes.

Please, Michale, show me where trans-athletes have caused the number of sports-related injuries to increase or the severity of injuries to increase in any women’s sports. Here’s the thing: YOU CAN’T DO IT! You, and others like you who want to make trans people into villains and freaks to be despised and
mistreated, have created this fantasy drama where your 9 year old girl is competing against a 9 year old trans-female (played by a 30-year old professional male athlete dressed as a little girl!) That is not occurring in the real world.

Michale, how do you know that a person who says that the genitals that they were born with were the result of a birth defect and they are actually the other gender are not telling you the truth? If a person says that their vagina was supposed to have been a penis and testicles when they were born, can you prove that they are lying or are just wrong and must be suffering from a mental illness?

No one is choosing to be trans in order to be more successful at playing competitive sports. Trans individuals would be transitioning back to their birth gender after their sports career ended if what you are claiming were true. But that isn’t happening. Anyone who even suggests this is a fuggin’ moron that is obviously suffering from their own deep-seated sexual issues that they are desperately trying to suppress.

nypoet22- Of course without Michale linking to what bit of information he is talking about it's impossible to know specifically where he is getting his numbers. My guess would be he got the 0.017% from some blog post or comment in another of his haunts that references the NIH. It's quite likely that it is not a NIH official number but like your links, a paper in the National Library of Medicine (and likely a response to Anne Fausto-Sterling from Leonard Sax). Intersex seems to be an umbrella term that varies from 0.018% and seems to mainly cover old school terms hermaphrodite and congenital eunuch. The other end is around 1.7% and includes all the various genetic combinations and their variously named conditions. Your 0.5% is the estimated clinically identifiable population. Then beyond that it expands to 4% or 5% but that is probably pushing the definition a bit far. Those who hate the idea stick with 0.018%, those to actively advocate stick to the 1.7% with reality probably being somewhere in-between. Your 0.5% is is probably as good a number as any...

the latter is obviously much more rigorous in terms of validating data than the former, but both are quite obviously more than 0.017% (which is the percent with atypical genitals, not the percent who reject their assigned birth sex - it's an apples to battleships comparison).

Which stat EXACTLY are you quoting???

And what's your source for the stat??

I showed you mine, you show me yours.. :D

Second thought, never mind..

As I indicated, the science doesn't interest me.. Especially since science is so fickle and Democrat "science" is fickler still... Remember when "science" said this was all mental illness??

I have already conceded that there ARE issues that are REAL medical issues. But they are the gross exception to the rule..

You have yet to provide ANY facts that the Dylan Mulvaneys et al are afflicted with these maladies you have discovered..

And it's THAT real world issue that interests me..

You always succeed in getting me off on tangents...

"Sneaky, Sneaky"

JL,

0.5% or one of 200 are the data most often reported in the US over time. The highest reported percentage worldwide is 3% or 1 in 33, and the lowest is 0.1% or 1 in 1,000. 0.5% is the most commonly seen in the United States so that is the one I used. in recent years some surveys have reported as many as 5% or one in 20 young people, and that number very well could be a fad. however, the one in 200 figure is probably not.

And the NIH posts the stat as .017%..

So, I am going to go with that one..

@bashi,

not lying, just arbitrarily assigning the term "real" to those conclusions he thinks make sense. it's not the same thing.

Hay Bashi,

Funny how you didn't ask JL to prove his "1 in 200" claim..

Why is that??

Yea, YOU have no agenda, eh??

So, we had this dumb-ass Colorado Democrat Mayor who said there would be a "Tiananmen Square" moment if federal cops moved into his city to arrest illegals/criminals...

Said dumb-ass Colorado Democrat Mayor also said he would set up checkpoints with his city's PD to prevent federal cops from coming into the city..

Border boss response??

" He's willing to go to jail. I'm willing to put him in jail."
-Border Boss Tom Homan

Well, as usual, the dumb-ass Democrat mayor folded like a cheap lawn chair... :D

REPORTER: It sounds like you're walking back the comments from a couple days ago saying that you would be willing to send Denver police officers. Do you regret making those comments and now getting questions like this?

JOHNSTON: Yeah.

REPORTER: Me asking you about that, and I'm sure Denver police officers are now going home to their families and saying, "Hey, I hear the mayor is telling you that you might be deployed to face off against federal forces." Do you regret making those comments?

JOHNSTON: Yeah. What I wanted people to understand was the scale of what could be coming if we take the president at his word, which is I don't think anyone envisioned U.S. military troops being deployed to American streets to gather up women and children.

Democrats... Such BIG talkers... :eyeroll:

No, and neither do you considering that scientists were already noticing increased cancer deaths in the 1930's into the 1940's. Were cigarette companies paying doctors for recommendations? Sure, but that was not where the science was...

Not factually accurate..

It wasn't until the 60s the smoking was determined to be unhealthy by REAL science..

Up until that point, science was saying smoking was neutral or even beneficial...

Just like "science" said the earth would be destroyed by global warming..

We now LAUGH at such activism based "science"...

Just like we will likely laugh and trans activism based "science". And soon.. :D

Lets see you address the real ISSUE, Bashi...

Biological men playing in female sports...

{{ccchhhhiiiirrrrppppp}} {{ccchhhhhiiiiirrrrrpppppp}}

Yea, that's what I figgered...

Although I would dispute your 1 in 200 claim.. REAL science has established that it's more like .017%...

In real science you back up your theory. Lets see the link to the paper that comes anywhere close to proving your percentage. nypoet22 has posted quite an impressive amount of links backing up his argument. Now it's your turn. Otherwise it's just conjecture, which is basically blowing smoke out of your ass.

"You're not going to stop us doing what we're going to do.

We'll move them to a state where we can detain them. There is plenty of sheriffs across this country who are willing to give us empty beds. They want the funding, and we can put them in jail all across the country. We'll have no problem finding a place to detain these people. It's going to cost money, so we've got to have the money to do it, but President Trump's going to do everything he can to make sure we have the funds to do this. So, they will be arrested, detained, put on an airplane and go home.

I want every mayor, every governor of a sanctuary jurisdiction to listen to Laken Riley tape, listen to this young girl fight for her life, fight for her breath, trying to survive, terrified. I want you to understand what she went through.

For any governor or mayor who doesn't want public safety threats taken out of their communities, they should resign their office, because their number-one responsibility is to protect those communities. We have ways of finding people. We will find these folks. They will be arrested, they'll be detained, and they'll be removed.

For those governors and mayors that are saying they're going to stop Tom Homan, they're going to stop President Trump: Shame on you. Your responsibility is to protect your communities, and that's what we want to do, is protect your community."

but it does mean that about one in two hundred people may have been incorrectly labeled a man or a woman, when in fact they are neither.

I have already conceded that there ARE legitimate cases of legitimate medical issues...

Although I would dispute your 1 in 200 claim.. REAL science has established that it's more like .017%...

I am assuming you never watch Michael Shanks in SAVING HOPE.. :D

But I am not talking about those.. I am talking about the Dylan Mulvaneys who do it just for attention or for profit or for being king of the hill purposes...

THOSE people are the ones we're discussing..

Or, at least, those are the people that *I* am discussing..

There is not enough of a pool of suffferers of the TRUE medical conditions to create a blanket policy that applies to all..

ESPECIALLY when it comes to women's/girl's sports..
