Having said all that, I do have to wonder why President ELECT Trump would make such a controversial choice knowing it will have repercussions.

One possibility is that President ELECT Trump wants to kick Gaetz to the curb and get him out of Congress w/o obviously forcing him out..

Gaetz resigns his seat in Congress and the nomination fails. President ELECT Trump says, "Sorry, buddy. I tried..."

Irregardless, Gaetz is 100% INNOCENT of all charges and accusations.
