Being such a network is a characteristic of the network, not of a particular node in the network.  Thus   people who are dying, and no longer have the characteristics that enable individuals to help make the network interpersonal, are still considered people until they meet the criteria for removal.  If a couple anticipates a baby, it feels kind of like there&#039;s a person there. People want that feeling to be recognized and validated.  Feelings don&#039;t care about your facts.</description>
