vlad the astrophysicist is a poem/song by peter mulvey, that details, in as clear a way as i've ever seen, exactly why the existence of extraterrestrials on earth is incredibly unlikely, and stories of alien spaceships are probably phony. (i linked to the middle of the video to skip some of the extraneous lead-in, but the whole story is definitely cool as well)

You're not wrong, JMfC.

Consider how bat-excrement crazy this whole thing is.

First
Is there anything that we know is impossible with the idea that one alien ship crash landed on the Earth, in the United States? No, though the light-speed issue isn't small.
Should such a thing have happened, and the Gov't found it first, is it impossible that they covered it up. No.

That's it. Anything more is bonkers, whack-job thinking.

Whoa, alien civilizations (plural?) have gotten past the speed of light issue.
Whoa, they sent ships millions of light years away.
Whoa, they crash into our planet (as opposed to any other place) regularly. Really? They fly across the galaxy, but crash into planets with frequency?
Whoa, they only crash into the US (and possibly oceans) and our Gov't gets there quick enough to cover it up every time. They've never crashed any place where the local gov't considers it beneficial to tout the event to the world?

Like I said, bat-excrement bonkers.

As usual, the question raises itself:

Why would advanced super-aliens be flying their spacecraft in Earth's atmosphere for the past 80 years, confusing and alarming military pilots, but not making any other discernible attempt to communicate, dominate, explore, or otherwise interact with the human population of the planet?

Why would there be no leakage of studies of extra-terrestrial technology or exo-biology in the relevant scientific fields, by Pentagon-commissioned experts, over three generations of studies, commissions, reports, lab results, and other areas that non-military experts would have knowledge of?

Conspiracy theories depend on a small number of dedicated people keeping their secrets to themselves. The more people who know of the conspiracy, over a longer span of time, the more likely it will become public knowledge. I'm having a hard time believing that only now is the conspiracy unraveling, as opposed to 50, 30, or 10 years ago.

In short, I'm not impressed, trained fighter pilots or no trained fighter pilots. I do like the radically different description of this
conspiracy version's UFOs, though. Those flying saucers were getting tired, and the cubes-in-the-spheres will make for some great sci-fi movies in the near future, I'm guessing.
