Police work is middle of the road statically as far as dangerous professions go. I only bring up taxi drivers as they are the most killed by other people per capita. By a wide margin. Of course neither of those even come close to forestry and fishery workers who also have safety equipment specific to their job. A quick search comes up with an average of 245 law enforcement officers hit by bullets ending in 45 fatalities per year. If every police officer hit by a bullet was killed it would still put police work in the same area of danger as crossing guards and Garbage collectors. If danger is a pedestal to which to judge people's work, why don't you see parades for fallen loggers?

As for finding William Bradley, I knew that would be hard. He used to have a wonderful blog, New West Notes and I was a part of it. Consequently, when he closed that blog down I was automatically put on his email alert list and so I receive his new analytical political pieces and his comments on various news articles from a wide range of important sources.

I have asked him before how people can find his stuff now but didn't get a good answer. I'll try again and let you know if I learn anything. I know you would enjoy reading his stuff - he has SUCH a vast amount of experience in politics and geopolitics and is exceptionally well traveled, too!

President Biden erroneously said that his son, Beau, "lost his life in Iraq" during a speech in Colorado on Wednesday.

"I say this as a father of a man and won the Bronze Star, the conspicuous service medal, and lost his life in Iraq," Biden said.

Beau died of brain cancer in 2015.

Biden made the speech on Wednesday near Vail, Colorado, where he designated Camp Hale as a national monument.

Biden said in a 2019 speech that he believes Beau's "exposure to burn pits" in Iraq "in my view, I can’t prove it yet, he came back with stage four glioblastoma. Eighteen months he lived, knowing he was going to die."
