Vick made up some bullshit story that her "boy friend" (not the one that runs on batteries) gave her a new car if she could refrain from posting here in Weigantia®..

So you're an indigent fat old man with a shitty memory. Nothing new.

Michael,

Your never ending wailing about preventing teachers from "grooming" your children deserves complete honesty in my response... your kids aren't being groomed by anyone. So tell your kid to stop calling. No means NO!

It's like finding out the Scout Leader buggered every kid in the troupe but yours... and you are left wondering, "Well what's wrong with my kid?!?"

Or how whenever a guys finds out that another male is gay that they did not know about and they will say something like, "Well, all I know is that he best not try hitting on me." My response is to laugh and assure them that they have NOTHING to worry about and I sit back and watch how hurt they are once they take in what I just said to them. "You don't think I'm good looking?"

Your law does one thing only -- it allows parents to sue a school if a teacher says anything that they do not believe is age appropriate for their little bundle of sunshine's ears to hear. It's another way Republicans are destroying our education system in this country.

Next item:
I *HAVE* to be lying, right?? It's not that I am simply wrong or have a different viewpoint.. It HAS to be a "lie", right Russ? :eyeroll:

You are given every opportunity to correct what you said if you were mistaken. We are not talking about what we believe is true or false. Your OCD need to scream about FACTS gets you partial points because the statement made is either factual or it is not. But you only get partial points because what you claim is FACT is not true. So, YES, it would be a lie. And I accused you of either not realizing how obvious your lies are or you just don't care. It's a choice.

Then you go on to call me a liar multiple times in the post and after you finish that post, you post about how unfair it is to always be called out for lying. Welcome back, Michale... it's good to see nothing has changed with you.

If this offered no more protection to them than what every other industry in existence already enjoyed... then you wouldn't have a problem with it being revoked. The protections are already in place.

But unless specifically stated, the anti-gun nuts will continue to file nuisance lawsuits to harass gun manufacturers..

ALL of the cases filed were thrown out but it cost the manufacturers LOTS of money to do so..

With the PLCAA in place, the anti gun zealots can't FILE their lawsuits any longer..

The PLCAA stays until the anti-gun zealots give up their agenda of ignoring the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution..

OK NOW it's dinner time.. :D

How does it protect children in ANY way that the other laws didn't already do? How does it actually protect them.

On ALL of the people who have turned "trans" surgically and then regretted the actions, all of them have a common theme..

They were "talked" into it by Democrat activists..

The FL law will protect future kids from not having to endure such ideological pressure..

Even THAT is simply a byproduct of what the law actually does.. And does quite well..

The MAIN thrust of the law is to prevent Democrat groomers from trying to hide their grooming from the parents of the child that they are trying to groom..

That ALONE makes the law worthwhile and above reproach..

And, since I am calling it a night, let me make one more FACT perfectly clear..

I *HAVE* to be lying, right?? It's not that I am simply wrong or have a different viewpoint.. It HAS to be a "lie", right Russ? :eyeroll:

With regards to yer hysterical anti-gun zealotry..

I was NOT lying and I was NOT wrong..

You are lying/wrong when you claim that product defect lawsuits are the same thing as what yer fellow anti-gun nuts tried to do...

Your fellow gun nuts used civil law to harass and intimidate gun manufacturers into capitulation..

Again, how do we know this??

Because the anti gun zealots STATED that was their aim..

THEIR ENTIRE AGENDA was to use nuisance suits to harass, bankrupt and intimidate gun manufacturers..

President Bush put an end to all that with the PLCAA..

So, Dementia Biden was LYING when he claimed that the PLCAA gave gun manufactures special privileges to avoid lawsuits..

*ALL* the PLCAA did was codify protections that ALL other industries in the US have...

That is IT...

So Dementia Biden was lying..

And if you agree with Dementia Biden, then you are lying too..

Ni Ni.. See ya'all in the AM.. :D

Michael,

Which, I will remind you, the exact same legal standard as literally every other industry in existence. The PLCAA simply stated explicitly that this standard applied to gun manufacturers too.

If this offered no more protection to them than what every other industry in existence already enjoyed... then you wouldn't have a problem with it being revoked. The protections are already in place. This law does NOTHING that isn't already being done by other laws that protect all forms of businesses... that is YOUR CLAIM! So why the hell do you care so much about something that does nothing???

"None of them are relevant to this law that protects children from a PROVEN harmful Democrat ideological agenda.."

How does it protect children in ANY way that the other laws didn't already do? How does it actually protect them. The "don't say gay" law doesn't have any criminal penalties for those who violate the law. So how, are children protected? And from what?

You keep using the word "agenda" as if it means ANY actual thing that is really occurring. No one is grooming children to have sex with them by teaching them pronouns. NO ONE! If your kids are so f'd up that pronouns gets them to drop trou' and take a bow offering themselves up for sexual purposes... I'm guessing that isn't the teacher's fault. Grooming "children for the pedophile's sexual pleasure" is more your folks style. Seriously, do you all just sit around beating off telling each other the hardcore details of what you think the liberals want to do with your kids? Projection is something ya'll do way too often without realizing it.

Bring out the children who were harmed by their schools and that this law would have protected if only passed sooner! Show us the kids who became trans out of pressure they received from a teacher! I'd say produce one, but your crowd would force their kid to say they are trans for a year and then go back to being cis and claim the school made them be trans; hoping to sue the school system for big money!

I kinda picture folks like you having a PeeWee's Playhouse reaction when you hear the word of the day dog whistle being uttered by someone. All bells, sirens, and whistles going off at once with people running around screaming "INDOCTRINATE!!! AHHHHHHHAHHHHHAHHHHHAHHHHH!" like little children. Yes, she said she was going to indoctrinate her students. But what was it that she was indoctrinating her students with? Good manners? Proper uses of "they're, there, and their"? Healthy eating habits? Not to shit on the floor? See, there are lots of things that we can be indoctrinated on that are beneficial.

Again, you aren't protecting kids. You are only making it so they have no where to turn to help them navigate growing up. You think that teachers should have to tell you when their kids want to talk about their sexual orientation when the kid begs them not to tell you. You claim it's your right as a parent to be informed as to their children's struggles... but you fail to realize that the teacher isn't the one NOT coming to you for advice. If your child doesn't want to talk to you because they fear how you will react, maybe that is a bigger issue that should be addressed? "Don't tell me how to parent my kid!" Don't tell teachers how to teach your kids. That's what home schools are for. This law is only about punishing people who say things that you disagree with. Make money off your kid's not believing you are of help to them when they need you most. Hell, most parents I believe are grateful when another adult can help their kid out with something the kid doesn't feel like they can talk to them about. Not you guys! Such big First Amendment warriors you are!

Right? Jeez, are you completely unaware of how obvious your lies are or is it that you just don't care?

This is EXACTLY why it's simply IMPOSSIBLE to have any kind of civilized or serious discussion with you or people like you..

I *HAVE* to be lying, right?? It's not that I am simply wrong or have a different viewpoint.. It HAS to be a "lie", right Russ? :eyeroll:

The fact is, it's not either.. I am not lying and I am not wrong..

The problem with pre 2005 PLCAA is that the anti-gun nuts were finding sympathetic judges and filing hundreds and thousands of nuisance lawsuits.. These nuisance lawsuits were always thrown out, as they are without merit, but the express purpose of the suits was purely to harass the manufacturers, costing them time, effort, money, and possibly bad press, in hopes of coercing them to shut down or bankrupt them.

How do we know this?? Because the anti-gun nuts STATED this was their agenda..

The 2005 Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act simply prohibited these nuisance lawsuits. Essentially, the law says that it is unlawful to sue an gun manufacturer if a third party uses the firearm in the commission of a crime. Which, I will remind you, the exact same legal standard as literally every other industry in existence. The PLCAA simply stated explicitly that this standard applied to gun manufacturers too.

Ford was not responsible for Pinto's getting rear ended... they weren't driving either vehicle involved in the accidents. But they were responsible for where they put the gas lines that caused the vehicles to explode in accidents where the speed typically just caused minor exterior damage....it didn't blow the vehicle up like a giant fireball.

And NOW you are comparing apples and eskimos...

Ford was liable because the Pinto was DEFECTIVE..

You are talking two different types of laws/liabilities.

QUIT FRAKING LYING, RUSS!!! :eyeroll:

Making their product so that it cannot be turned from a semi-automatic into a fully automatic with just a minor adjustment cannot be addressed as a consumer product safety issue.

Once again, you are lying, Russ :eyeroll:

A gun manufacturer would not be liable if a psycho modified their product to fire full auto.. Any more than Ford would be liable if a Pinto had a souped up modified gas tank and it blew up..

If a gun manufacturer does do something unlawful, it can be charged. If a gun is defective, that’s still a valid suit. Again, just like every other industry ever.

But anti-gun zealots such as yourself are either ignorant of the law (extremely common) or liars (also extremely common) and will incorrectly, often maliciously, assert that “you can’t sue gun manufacturers!” as if they have some special immunity unique to that industry. This claim is simply not true.

You spewing bullshit and lies Russ...

Jack Daniels is NOT liable if someone uses their product too much and goes out and mows down a dozen people in a Subaru SUV...

Subaru is not liable if someone uses their product to mow down a dozen people.

Armalite is not liable if someone uses their product to shot a dozen people..

These are FACTS, Russ... Not lies..

I guess you are just too stupid to know the difference.. :eyeroll:

:eyeroll:

The 2005 Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act simply codified that basic protection that ALL industries enjoy into a law specifically for the firearm industry...

Was that ALL it did? If that were the case, then there would be no need for this law in the first place, seeing how everything in it was already shared rights by all corporations. Right? Jeez, are you completely unaware of how obvious your lies are or is it that you just don't care? Why would the gun industry fight for something that they already have? You don't sue the car manufacturer for the damages caused by a wreck unless there was something about the car that caused the wreck or made the damages worse than they should be.

Gun manufacturers do not have to submit their products to any government agency for testing to make sure their products can be used safely as they are constructed. Faulty locks something that the company might or might not choose to fix. Making their product so that it cannot be turned from a semi-automatic into a fully automatic with just a minor adjustment cannot be addressed as a consumer product safety issue.

Boohoo. Do ya think that people might sue the gun makers for making weapons supposedly for hunting that are capable of killing a large number of people in seconds... because the guns are designed to be used for hunting people?

Er... If you wait until the results are in they are unlikely to be hypothetical.

It will be actual fact that the GOP won the Senate.. :D

But that's kewl.. I just like to be prepared.. :D

Russ,

And yet, we know for a FACT that many MANY teachers in our school systems push ideological and sexual agendas on our innocent children..

HELL NO! Wrong wing BS!

You are saying that there has never been an instance where a teacher has pushed a sexual agenda on a student?

I'll let that state stand on it's own stupidity.. :D

Are you also saying that there has never been an instance where a teacher has pushed an ideological agenda on students??

Read comment #133 :^/

"The gays are coming for your children!"

"They are pushing their gay agendas on our children!"

Ignoring for the moment that those are factual statements..

Who is saying that??

I'm still waiting to hear what all is on our "agendas" because no one I know in the gay community has ever heard of it nor have any of us been contacted requesting our input on the matter!

My, don't you think a lot of yer community, eh?

It's not just the gay community trying to force Americans to accept ya'all's lifestyle...

It's the entire Democrat/Gender agenda...

Look at what you are defending, Russ.. You are defending the RIGHT for teachers to push a sexual gender-bending agenda on kids that are barely passed the toddler stage..

Who DOES that!!???

First, no, we do not those kinds of laws. We have laws against teachers having sexual relations and communicating with minor for immoral purposes. But there are no "agenda" laws.

The "agenda" of a pedophile is to groom children for the pedophile's sexual pleasure...

Yer trying to split hairs..

Your agenda is to prevent any discussion that doesn't fit YOUR views on sex

How am I trying to prevent any discussion..

There are over a 130 comments of mine whose SOLE PURPOSE is to stimulate and encourage discussion..

The problem is, YOU PEOPLE don't like the facts and refuse to discuss them...

As evidenced by the FACT that I am, almost quite literally, the ONLY one posting here..

"The only agenda that our community would have, if we had one, would be to be there for kids struggling with who they are..."

And the Democrat Party agenda is to force-feed those kids with the idea that the biological science based-gender they actually are MAY not be "who they are"...

Let the kids BE KIDS fer christ's sake!!

Your Democrats are saying that a baby can decide his or her gender IN THE WOMB regardless of what the actual gender is..

Ignoring for the moment how such a claim is diametrically opposed to YOUR Democrats claim that an unborn baby is not a real human being...

How is that not TOTALLY FRAK'ED in the head!!???

And yet, we know for a FACT that many MANY teachers in our school systems push ideological and sexual agendas on our innocent children..

HELL NO! Wrong wing BS!

"The gays are coming for your children!"

"They are pushing their gay agendas on our children!"

I'm still waiting to hear what all is on our "agendas" because no one I know in the gay community has ever heard of it nor have any of us been contacted requesting our input on the matter!

We have laws that criminalize pushing sexual agendas by educators on our children..

First, no, we do not those kinds of laws. We have laws against teachers having sexual relations and communicating with minor for immoral purposes. But there are no "agenda" laws.

Next, "sexual agendas" is a made up term meant to scare simple minded folks into believing that someone is plotting against them. That homos are trying to get into straight children's pants in order to turn them gay. It is most likely the invention of males who had a same-sex sexual encounter and freaked out afterwards...mainly because they enjoyed it so much. That scares the crap out of them... that it was probably the best sexual experience that they ever had in their sad little lives. They are terrified of what that says about them and at what people would think of them if their dirty secret was ever found out. Because the truth is, gays cannot turn straight people gay. You may be gay, bi, straight, or you don't care for labels and just enjoy sex... but closet cases are the ones who go on and on attacking anything that isn't simply about procreation. They think they are fooling the world and keeping their secrets hidden from everyone. Problem is that when a person hides their sexuality for so long, they can pick out others who are trying to hide it. We know the signs and the subtlety that goes along with hiding your interests. "He cannot be gay! He is the last person I'd believe is queer. He's so masculine! He is such a man's man!" Yes he is a MAN'S MAN!

The issue of educators pushing anti-America and anti-science ideological agendas on our children is well documented..

You say things like this a lot, as if we should trust you that this is a common occurrence. And what's mind-boggling is that you say others are "anti-science" without a hint of irony. You claimed the Covid-19 virus was a hoax. You claimed it was not nearly as bad as the normal flu. You claimed that all precautionary measures were use less. You claimed that vaccines were more dangerous than the virus itself You claimed that the vaccine didn't work. And literally hundreds of thousands of you died because you are so "anti-science".

The only agenda that our community has is to be there for kids struggling with who they are... their sexual orientation or their sexual identity. Gay/Bi/Str8 clubs are meant to support kids and help us to understand that we are not all that different from one another. It's wrong-wingers that claim heterosexuality is what God intended for all of us.

Your agenda is to prevent any discussion that doesn't fit YOUR views on sex. You think that if your child cannot discuss their sexuality with anyone, it will work itself out in a good way. Kinda like Trump saying the only reason we had so many Covid cases was because we were testing too many people. Stop testing them, his logic was, and we will have fewer cases. Quit choosing ignorance! It clearly isn't "bliss" based on how angry all of you are.

Democrat Senate Disaster Ahead

The recent Arizona Senate debate between Republican Blake Masters, Democrat Mark Kelly, and that Libertarian who was eerily focused on the age of consent laws being way too high, taught us two important things besides that you should never let a Libertarian babysit your tween. First, Mark Kelly is going to get crushed, and second, he’s short, and after Blake beats him in November, he should find something else to do with his life, like toiling for mithril in the mines of Moria or maybe bearing a ring to Mordor.

Blake is surging, and he’s not alone. Conservative candidates for the Senate, written off by the Establishment as a bunch of crazy Trumpy radicals, are looking like they are going to win all or most of the key races. How do we know? Well, don’t believe the polls (even the good ones) but do consider their direction, as well as the directions of gas prices (up) and the stock market (down). Oh, and there’s that whole nuclear war thing. Everybody loves their Ukrainian flags and emojis until hydrogen bombs start detonating over their hometown.

All the smart people told us that we need to write off Arizona because Blake is too, well, something to win. But even before the debate Tiny Mark, the guy who puts the “ass” in “astronaut,” was losing ground. Then he stood there on that debate stage – yes, he was standing up – as Blake loomed above him just pummeling him on the open border, on 87,000 new IRS agents, even on water rights. He labeled Miniature Mark as California’s third senator – ouch – and super-glued him to Biden.

If I had any sympathy for Democrats, I would have felt some after that brutal pummeling, but I don’t, so I laughed. Come November, it seems likely that Mark Kelly will need a new career – I hear Willy Wonka is hiring down at the chocolate factory.

Still need to know if you want an alternative choice on account of safety issues.. :D

If I had any sympathy for Democrats, I would have felt some after that brutal pummeling, but I don’t, so I laughed. Come November, it seems likely that Mark Kelly will need a new career – I hear Willy Wonka is hiring down at the chocolate factory.

New Jersey teacher interviews 4th graders on 'they/them' pronouns on TikTok: 'Indoctrinating my students'

The New Jersey teacher also said that 'pronouns have everything to do with academic education'

One of the videos of Colon discussing pronouns with students was shared to the official KIPP Facebook page. The post said Colon worked for KIPP Whittier Middle School in Camden.

Colon wrote on one of her videos in March, "'Indoctrinating my students.'"

"In a moment of intense frustration and anger, I let the situation get the best of me and I hold myself accountable for these comments. For that I am sorry.
"Gun manufacturers are the only industry in the country that have immunity from lawsuits."
-Dementia Biden

A completely and utterly blatant LIE... TOTAL bullshit..

If a drunk driver hits and kills people, you can't sure FORD or Chevrolet or whatever car he's driving..

You can't sue Jack Daniels because the scumbag got drunk on their product..

The 2005 Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act simply codified that basic protection that ALL industries enjoy into a law specifically for the firearm industry...

Of course, no one here calls out Dementia Biden for ANY of his lies..

Funny how that is, eh?? :^/

It would reverse the anti-free speech policies of Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, who has pledged to regulate content as “reflective of things that we believe lead to a healthier public conversation.”

Agrawal said the company would “focus less on thinking about free speech” because “speech is easy on the internet. Most people can speak. Where our role is particularly emphasized is who can be heard.”

Get that??

Scumbag thinks it's his job to only accept speech that is acceptable to HIS beliefs..

And to decide WHO should and should not be heard..

Led by President Joe Biden, Democratic leaders and media figures have demanded corporate censorship and even state censorship to curtail opposing views on issues ranging from climate change to election integrity to public health to gender identity. The Washington Post’s Max Boot, for example, declared, “For democracy to survive, we need more content moderation, not less.”

Now these same figures are fearful of the supposed menace that Musk poses – the prospect that a major social media platform could actually restore free speech protections.

Democrats blatantly advocate for censorship of speech and opinions that they disagree with..

SOLELY on the basis that they disagree...

What a country the Democrat Party has created.. :eyeroll:

Buy, Elon, buy: Musk's renewed interest in Twitter could be a win for free speech

I have argued for a 'First Amendment approach' for social media. While companies aren't legally subject to the First Amendment, they can adopt for themselves the same limitations the government faces.

The news that Elon Musk wants to go forward with the purchase of Twitter has led to a virtual panic among media, political and academic figures worried that free speech could shortly break out on the social media platform. Former Politico magazine editor Garrett Graff summed up the collective vapors succinctly: “Be afraid, be actually afraid.”

I sincerely hope so.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2022/10/10/elon-musk-purchase-twitter-could-victory-free-speech/8197008001/

Democrats are deathly afraid of Free Speech...

If I could put to one thing that has changed here in Weigantia® Pre- and Post- PTDS, it would be the support of crushing any dissent or opinions or speech that Democrats don't agree with..

Hate speech... Unpopular speech... Disgusting speech..

That kind of speech is *EXACTLY* why the 1st Amendment was created..

Weigantia® used to understand that pre-PTDS...

But now... sheesh... :eyeroll:

Speaking of the 2nd Amendment..

"As a Brit, I find the whole notion of ever having the need to have a gun in the first place absolutely abhorrent.."

"As an American, I haven't had to care what Brits think since 1776 when we forced all the Brits out with our guns."

Liz,

Got a question for you..

Yer big on the privacy aspect of abortion.....

As an aside, in the spirit of fruitful and serious discussion, I will refrain from the provocative term I use for abortion..

.... I was curious what your thoughts are on the Herschel Walker abortion debacle vis a vis his personal privacy...

For extra credit.... Do you agree with JL that a person who publicly advocates taxing the rich but in private legally games the system to pay less in taxes is perfectly acceptable??

And should that also apply to a person who publicly criticizes and demonizes abortion but privately assists a significant other in pursuing abortion??

The year has progressed like a political roller coaster. Republicans boasted that a typical wave was building in the spring, and Democrats then claimed the momentum after the Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade galvanized progressive and independent voters. Now the pendulum seems to have swung back.

“I wish the election was a month ago,” conceded Navin Nayak, a Democratic strategist and the president of the Center for American Progress Action Fund. He was heartened, however, to see his party with a fighter’s chance, adding that Democrats had “no business being in this election.”

The challenge for Democrats is that they also have no margin for error. Clinging to a 50-50 Senate and a single-digit House majority, they are seeking to defy not only history but Mr. Biden’s unpopularity. “Even the slightest tremor is going to put the Democrats in the minority,” as Peter Hart, a longtime Democratic pollster, put it.

Dementia Biden's approval rating and the wide-spread discontent with Democrats pushing their woke Hate Cops Hate America agenda is going to sink Democrats come 8 Nov...

Com'on.. Let's get some wagers going!!! :D

Biden's equity-obsessed education secretary dodging academic priorities amid 'catastrophic' reading scores

Biden's Department of Education is spending hundreds of millions on its 'equity' agenda

What is more important for today's children.

Having the basic skills of reading, writing and arithmetic down??

Or learning woke crap such as 'equity' that really has no place in a fair and just society??

florida also has a law (it's real, look it up) that you can tie your alligator, goat or elephant to a parking meter, but you must pay the meter or incur a fine. sure, we wouldn't want people to just leave a chained alligator about indefinitely, but what is the actual likelihood that this law protects anyone from an unattended pet alligator?

And, in New York, it's against the law to do a puppet show in a window...

It's against the law to take a selfie with a tiger..

It is against the law to sell cat or dog hair.

It's against the law to flirt. $25 fine if yer caught doing it.

In California it's against the law to have a vehicle without a driver exceed 60 MPH..

EVERY state has weird laws..

None of them are relevant to this law that protects children from a PROVEN harmful Democrat ideological agenda..

As I said previously, I am more than willing to post testimonials from gender bent adults who regret what they did and wish there had been such a law to protect them when Democrat teachers were preying on them..

Gender bending is an IDEOLOGICAL agenda.. The Democrat Party has MADE it that way...

If Democrats had left Gender Dysphoria in the realm of medical and psychological fields then this child protection law would not be necessary..

But, as Democrats are wont to do with EVERYTHING (Baby Killing and 2nd Amendment and racism and climate and ad nauseum are but 4 of a PLETHORA of examples) Democrats had to push and push and make it an ideological issue....

Hence.. The necessity of the FL Parental Rights in Education law...

JL,

Perusing past comments, I missed this from you..

My apologies for not addressing it sooner..

the percentage of young children with gender identity issues is so minuscule to begin with, the likelihood that any educator will even encounter one, much less have the opportunity to counsel them toward one decision or another, is pretty damn low.

And yet, we know for a FACT that many MANY teachers in our school systems push ideological and sexual agendas on our innocent children..

Do you agree on this?

We have laws that criminalize pushing sexual agendas by educators on our children..

It makes sense to have laws that criminalizes pushing ideological agendas on our children, no??

The issue of educators pushing anti-America and anti-science ideological agendas on our children is well documented..

Florida simply has taken steps to make sure that doesn't happen here in Florida..

I fail to see how ANYONE who is logical and rational (as I know you to be) has a problem with this..

If, as you say, it never happens, then having a law CRIMINALIZING the practice is, at WORST, superfluous and un-necessary..

But if the law protects ONE SINGLE CHILD from being taken in by a teacher bent on pushing a gender-bending bullshit agenda..... Then the law is well worth it..

There is ALL upside to the law and ZERO downside to the law..

How can ANYONE be against it??

Are you having trouble sleeping, Michale ...

I am.. I take some pills at night to help me sleep but since my hospital stay and return home, they haven't been working..

As you know, I turn in really early.. 1900-2000... I'll fall asleep for like 2 hrs and then I am up for the rest of the night, with a minor cat nap or two..

I also suffer from RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) and it's been flaring up big time since I got back from the hospital..

I have a few suggestions ... :)

Do tell.. :D

Russ, Liz,

Yep, we made it thru Ian just fine.. By the time it got into our neck of the woods it was barely a Cat 1.. We got a buttload of rain and some high winds. That's all..

We lost power Thu AM around 0600 and I thought 'CRAP!!' there goes our power for a week or two.. But it came back on by noon and we were good for the rest of the week...

With everything else that was going on we were quite fortunate with Ian...

Feel for the people in Southwest FL... :^(

Cellulitis sucks hard. I got it in my left eyelid when I lived on the reservation. I looked like Quasimodo minus the hump. For whatever reason, they required that I received the IV's at the hospital in Billings 2 hours away and not at the BIA hospital. So every other day I was driving 2 hours to the hospital. Two hours to get the IV. Two hours driving back home. I would have just blown them off had the doctor not mentioned something about "if it spreads to your brain you'll be dead in seconds"... Two very long weeks for me.

Yea, it's not something ya wanna fool around with..

The Home IVs were a pain in the ass and have that tube sticking out of my arm was annoying as hell..

But when I considered the alternative...

The swelling and red splotches have only recently (last 3-4 days) gone away and I noticed two little puncture marks on my leg where all the problems were.. About a quarter inch apart..

I am thinking I was bit by a snake.. We have pygmy rattlers in abundance in our neck of the woods and it's possible I got bit and never even noticed it..

That's the only thing that really explains how it could develop so quickly.. Literally within 2-3 hours, my lower leg had ballooned out..

So, Oz tortured ToTo... man, that is some vile crap!

It's so unforgivably cruel that even Michael Vick's response was "OH HELL NO!"

Michael, I was thinking of you during the hurricane. I ready a story of some old guy who died when he chose to go out in the storm and tried to open the drain to his swimming pool to stop it from overflowing and was swept away by the flood waters and drowned. It made me think of you.

I don't think Twitter is really going to change that much from where it is now if Elon Musk actually buys it, the single biggest change might be an invitation for Trump to come back.

The problem with Twitter and the censorship regime which has really been embraced by all these tech companies, is we all know their so-called policies are completely fake.

...

They say they have a policy, and then some activist says they're being harmed because someone said something mean. And then after a professional cadre of 'journalists' jumps on the bandwagon, the tech companies say days later that they're 'updating' the policy and they are now banning whoever the activists and journalists want them to.

The cycle has basically been on repeat since Alex Jones was banned.
-SAAGAR ENJETI, Breaking Points

Libtard snowflakes are crying in their lattes about losing censorship rights.

Couldn't happen to a better group of America hating morons..

The one discrepancy with the new Quantum Leap begs for clarification..

In the old series, Sam's consciousness leapt into the physical body of a person in the past..

Sam's physical body was still in the imaging chamber at the QL facility in 1999 and the consciousness of the person Sam leapt into is in Sam's body..

This is accepted QL canon..

In the new series, the fist episode made it clear (I don't recall the exact context) that Ben's physical body is NOT in the 2022 QL imaging chamber...

So, this begs 2 questions..

Where is Ben's physical body?

Where is the consciousness of the person that Ben leapt into??

These points really need to be explained in the new series..

Funny...

The Democrats today who are screaming the loudest about Walker..

Hypocrisy. It's not a bug in Democrat programming. It's a feature.

Opinion: Biden’s fist bump turned slap in the face
CNN
—
So much for cozying up to the Saudis – President Joe Biden’s much-hyped fist bump with Mohammed bin Salman during a trip to the Middle East back in July has turned into something of a slap across the face from the crown prince.

This week’s OPEC+ announcement that it would be slashing oil production by 2 million barrels per day – engineered, by most accounts, by Saudi Arabia and Russia – is already provoking a cascade of toxic geopolitical shifts.

A host of issues all converge here at this epiphanal moment. There’s the European Union, which is suddenly having to work out how it might still implement its price cap on Russian crude.

There’s oil producer Venezuela, which with OPEC’s one stroke is looking to the US more like an attractive trading partner than a hemispheric pariah.

Jennifer-Ruth Green takes aim at political opposition after Politico publishes records of her sexual assault

Green tells Fox News Digital that Politico ran the information about her assault after she pleaded with them not to do so

Jennifer-Ruth Green, the Republican candidate in the race to represent Indiana's 1st Congressional District, is livid after Politico published details about her sexual assault while in the military, without her permission, and blames her opponent for "illegally" obtaining the information. But now she's ready to speak out.

In a profile of Green's career and candidacy in the Indiana congressional race, Politico reporter Adam Wren used the documents, which the outlet claimed "were obtained by a public records request and provided to Politico by a person outside the Mrvan campaign" to report last week that "an Iraqi serviceman sexually assaulted her by grabbing her breast and exposing himself" when "she and a small group of officers visited the national training center."

California high school football player to ditch pro-police flag after critics compare it to Confederate flag

Centurions head coach Jason Bornn decided to discontinue displaying the flag, following the controversy

A football player at a high school in California has been forced to stop carrying a pro-police flag as the team rallied onto the field, as critics said it made them feel "unwelcome and uncomfortable."

Some others compared the "thin blue flag" to a Confederate one, forcing school administrators at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita to tell the player to ditch the controversial symbol.

The decision comes after William S. Hart Union High School District Superintendent Mike Kuhlman sent out a letter explaining the flag's intention is to show support for law enforcement officers, KTLA reported.

Hay Russ..

Here is your vaunted NY GRIME..

The New York Times has, yet again, issued a humiliating correction. Earlier this week, the paper ran a story about a Michigan-based elections software company becoming “a conspiracy theory target” over supposed “election falsehoods”. One example was the claim that Konnech, the company in question, was improperly sharing voter data with China. Yet just 24 hours later, the CEO of Konnech was arrested after investigators found it had stored voter data…in China.

The follow-up story by Stuart Thompson, a technology reporter, prompted a correction to the original story, also by Thompson. “After this article was published, the chief executive of Konnech was arrested in connection with an investigation into the possible theft of personal information about poll workers,” the Times correction noted, with considerable, if understandable, understatement.

And you have the unmitigated gall to actually QUOTE the NY GRIME as if it is a reliable source!!???

And in the OOOHH!! THAT'S GOTTA HURT department..

Biden below 50% approval on every top 10 issue

President Joe Biden, who promised a more competent and unifying administration, is failing to reach at least 50% approval on any of the nation’s top 10 issues.

Overall, Biden is underwater like his ratings-challenged predecessor. In the latest Ipsos survey, 40% approve of the job Biden is doing as president, while 53% disapprove.

But his failure really stands out in how the public views how he is doing on key issues, including the economy and crime.

The issue he still gets the best grade on is handling COVID-19, but that is now below 50%, at 47%.

Any Democrat who is not feeling Buyer's Remorse vis a vis the Dementia Biden regime is simply and willfully ignorant..

Are Americans better off now than they were 2 years ago??

HELL NOT....

These cases, though, are just the latest in a long train of egregiously selective enforcement of federal law by the Garland DOJ that’s clearly intended to intimidate otherwise law-abiding American citizens. The same U.S. attorney pursuing the bogus case against Houck, Anita Eve, has also handled some 40 Jan. 6 cases, in which similarly over-the-top arrest tactics were used. Indeed, Garland’s DOJ has thrown the book at hundreds of Jan. 6 defendants whose misdeeds in many cases amount to little more than unintentional trespassing.

Meanwhile, the FBI won’t say whether it has made even a single arrest in the dozens of attacks against churches, crisis pregnancy centers, and other pro-life organizations in the wake of the Dobbs leak in May. The FBI admitted to The Daily Signal this week (in a statement that is almost identical to one it issued the outlet in June) that it is investigating the attacks, and even that it considers some of them potential acts of domestic violent extremism or possible violations of the FACE Act.

Yet for all that, the FBI has failed to announce a single arrest in connection with some 83 attacks on Catholic Churches and 73 crisis pregnancy centers. Strange then that it would have time to track down Houck and the 73-year-old Gallagher (not to mention 87-year-old Eva Edl, a woman named in the Tennessee indictment).

And, of course Garland totally ignores the REAL crimes committed by hysterical violent Democrats pushing their Hate America agenda...

If that sounds drastic or melodramatic, as it might to some indifferent or merely idiotic Republican lawmakers, consider the shocking news this week that Garland’s DOJ has once again used the FBI to target peaceful anti-abortion activists for exercising their First Amendment rights. On Tuesday night, armed FBI agents swarmed into the home of 73-year-old anti-abortion activist Chet Gallagher on the outrageous pretext that he had violated an obscure federal statute, the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, or “FACE Act.”

In fact, what Gallagher and 10 other activists had done was pray and sing in the hallway of a medical building that houses an abortion facility in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, last March. The protest was entirely peaceful, as ample video footage — livestreamed on Facebook by the activists themselves — attests. A few of them were arrested without incident by local police on misdemeanor trespass charges and promptly released.

But in Garland’s DOJ, what they did was use “force and physical obstruction to injure, intimidate and interfere with employees of the clinic and a patient who was seeking reproductive health services.” So reads the indictment, a document so disconnected from reality that its mere existence beggars belief.

And yet it comes on the heels of an equally shocking FBI raid last month on the home of Mark Houck, a Catholic father of seven and anti-abortion activist who was arrested at gunpoint in front of his terrified wife and small children. His crime? He alleged violated — you guessed it — the FACE Act.

Garland is a bully.. And, like all bullies he cowers behind bullshit rhetoric and gets the FBI to do his dirty work..

Garland has GOT to go.. No ifs ands or buts about it..

Everything Garland has done as attorney general has been mendaciously political, from smearing parents who speak out at school board meetings as “domestic terrorists” to targeting peaceful anti-abortion activists while doing nothing about actual pro-abortion vigilantes attacking churches and crisis pregnancy centers. He has to be stopped, and a determined GOP-led Congress is the only thing that can stop him.

Should Republicans take control of the U.S. House and Senate in November, their first order of business — before tax and spending cuts, abortion restrictions, gun legislation, or anything else in their predictably anodyne agenda — should be to impeach Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Under Garland, the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have been thoroughly politicized and weaponized, transformed into instruments of terror aimed at ordinary American citizens who have the temerity to oppose the Biden administration’s radical agenda.

The Dementia Biden regime is the biggest threat to our freedoms in this country since Democrats created the KKK and Jim Crow...

They simply HAVE to go..

Oregon can't succeed if Portland fails, and Portland is failing "by every metric," Johnson said at a recent roundtable event with residents of Portland's Lents neighborhood. The event was held in a small business in southeast Portland, with about a dozen people clustered around a conference table. Many of the attendees considered themselves lifelong Democrats who are now disillusioned by liberal policies.

"It's terrifying for my kids to walk to school," one man said during the discussion. He used to enjoy living in a city that "erred on the side of compassion" when it came to homelessness, but said he has now realized that enabling addicts is "absolutely not compassionate."

Other attendees complained about vandalism, theft and threats from drug users or mentally unstable individuals. None of it was new to Johnson.

Portland Oregon..

A 3rd world American shithole...

Like Democrats always do everywhere they govern, they have destroyed Portland..

Longtime Democrat 'embarrassed' by Oregon politics shakes up race for governor, runs as independent

Oregon gubernatorial hopeful Betsy Johnson says she's 'embarrassed' by state's leadership

PORTLAND, Ore. – Betsy Johnson is not running for Miss Congeniality. The longtime Democrat now running for governor of Oregon as an unaffiliated candidate is more likely to drop a swear word than a political platitude. When voters asked if she would repeal Oregon's drug decriminalization law, she responded, "Hell yes." On education, she declared, "Let's not worry about pronouns. Let's worry about mathematics."

As I said... People are leaving the Democrat Party by the millions..

"Let's not worry about pronouns. Let's worry about mathematics."

How sad is it that Democrat educators (present company excepted, of course) are more concerned about pronouns than they are about actually teaching kids something worth while that they can actually USE later in life..

"Forced birth is an absolute moral question"
-Jean Luc

"Forced birth is the greater evil."
-Russ

And yet, BOTH of you support restrictions on Baby Killing at some point in the pregnancy..

Ergo, "forced birth" becomes acceptable to you both at some point during a baby's gestation..

Would that be an accurate assessment of ya'all's position..

Why or why not??

ONE of ya'all is going to back-pedal furiously now.. :D

I am sure we all know which one it will be.. :D

What did the campaign ad say??

"Look at my precious bundle of joy knowing that, if I chose to, I could have killed this precious bundle of joy 5 minutes ago."

THAT is what the Democrat Party stands for. The rights for women to kill their babies at ANY time right up to AND including the point when the head is crowning..

I am so happy to be a Democrat.."

This week, a Democratic House candidate in Louisiana made some political advertising history, deploying what has to be the first campaign ad ever where the candidate is seen giving birth. It is effective and the whole ad is impressively well-put-together, so Katie Darling certainly deserves her own Honorable Mention for her pioneering ad. As well as our congratulations on her new baby!

So, Democrats CONGRATULATE over a new baby..

Yet Democrats ADVOCATE that killing that baby 5 mins before birth is perfectly acceptable..

Democrat hypocrisy knows no bounds...

That's easy. Killing babies is the lesser because it is something that only happens in your delusions! Forced birth is the greater evil.

Hay Russ...

Boston Children's Hospital says children can know they're transgender 'from the womb' in deleted video

The hospital created the first pediatric center in the country dedicated to gender-affirming surgeries

One of the nation's top children's hospitals has generated controversy over a video claiming that some children know their gender identity before they are born.

Boston Children's Hospital posted a video on their YouTube channel in August where a psychologist explains that "a good portion" of children she sees at the hospital's Gender MultiSpecialty Service (GeMS) clinic know their gender identity "from the womb," according to video captured first by The Daily Mail.
https://www.foxnews.com/media/boston-childrens-hospital-children-know-transgender-womb-deleted-video

Why do you believe that it is NOT a baby for the purposes of KILLING him/her...

But it IS a baby for the purposes of furthering your ridiculous trans/grooming/corrupting/mutilating kids agenda??

OOoooppsss... Yer hypocrisy is showing..

I accept your concession...

The comparison is not the point..

The point is the thought process is the same..

"OK, let's brass some tacks here.."
-Metatron, SUPERNATURAL

OK let me just ask outright..

Do you still feel it is perfectly acceptable for a Democrat to push taxing the rich in public but also game the system so that they pay less taxes in private??

Along those same lines..

Do you feel that it is perfectly acceptable for a Republican to be against abortion in public but also advocate for an abortion due to his current social situation in private??

We agree that in BOTH situations it's perfect examples of hypocrisy..

But why is the hypocrisy acceptable to you in the case of the Democrat, but unacceptable to you in the case of the Republican?

mission accepted, though it might take me awhile. didn't know about quantum leap, but i'll give that a go as well if and when i find the time.

as to the distinction between forcing someone to pay higher taxes and forcing someone to give birth against their will, i'm going to have to say that makes a comparison somewhat moot.

That's easy. Killing babies is the lesser

I am not surprised that you would think that. Nor am I surprise that, for you, it's "easy" to kill a baby..

#sad

But it also proves another point..

You definitely are NOT all about science...

Because REAL science (as opposed to Democrat "science") says that the unborn child IS a baby..

I gotta ask..

Is anyone watching the new QUANTUM LEAP series.. It's frakin' AWESOME..

Most of ya'all are probably too young to remember the original QUANTUM LEAP..

The new one ties to the old one awesomely.. I love how they write in Dean Stockwell's character into the series..

For those old enough to remember the original, it will be awesome..

For those too young to remember Dr Sam Beckett... Ya'all will like it as well..

Bottom Line: Espionage was not the sole reason for Trump taking the top secret documents... he also planned to use them for extortion, as well!

Bottom Line..

Russ is STILL full of kaa-kaa and, per the norm, NEVER has any facts to prove his claims.

The fact that Russ relies on the NY GRIME is proof positive that everything Russ spews is bullshit..

"Everything that guy just said there is BULLSHIT....Thank you..."

According to new reporting from the New York Times, Donald Trump told aides he wanted to make a deal with the National Archives to return the documents and files he whisked away to his Mar-a-Lago resort in exchange for "sensitive" documents he believes prove his 2016 campaign did not conspire with the Russians.

As the Time's Maggie Haberman and Michael Schmidt wrote, the former president pressed aides to lie about what he took and was hiding, thus also putting them -- and his attorneys -- in legal jeopardy.

The report states, "Mr. Trump, still determined to show he had been wronged by the F.B.I. investigation into his 2016 campaign’s ties to Russia, was angry with the National Archives and Records Administration for its unwillingness to hand over a batch of sensitive documents that he thought proved his claims," before adding, "In exchange for those documents, Mr. Trump told advisers, he would return to the National Archives the boxes of material he had taken to Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Fla."

The Times reports that the former president's aides "never pursued" his plan, and that the episode "...demonstrates how Mr. Trump spent a year and a half deflecting, delaying and sometimes leading aides to dissemble when it came to demands from the National Archives and ultimately the Justice Department to return the material he had taken, interviews and documents show."

The report adds, "Mr. Trump floated the idea of offering the deal to return the boxes in exchange for documents he believed would expose the Russia investigation as a 'hoax' cooked up by the F.B.I. Mr. Trump did not appear to know specifically what he thought the archives had — only that there were items he wanted."

The report comes on the heels of additional reporting that DOJ believes the former president has still not turned over all of the documents he took, which could lead to Espionage Act charges and a criminal obstruction indictment.

Very soon, Biden will be confronted with the political fallout from choices he made in January 2021. The October 3 Monmouth poll found that 82 percent of Americans say inflation is extremely or very important. Biden’s approval on inflation is 30 percent. According to Monmouth, 67 percent of Americans say immigration is extremely or very important. Biden’s approval on immigration is 31 percent. "A major problem for Democrats," poll director Patrick Murray said in a release, "is their base messaging doesn’t hold as much appeal for independents as the GOP issue agenda does."

Dementia Biden and his incompetent Dumbocrat cohorts are toast on 8 Nov...

Biden knew what he was doing. The "clean energy transition," as Sullivan and Deese put it, is among the top priorities of the Democratic Party. The transition involves hiking the cost of carbon-based energy to the point where renewable alternatives become affordable by comparison. You decrease supply of oil and gas until prices rise enough for the average consumer to search online for a Tesla.

Retail gas prices rose steadily between Election Day 2020 and June 2022. Midway through his first year in office, Biden’s energy-dampening regulations contributed to and interacted with the general price inflation he mistakenly assumed to be "temporary." The president panicked. Rather than confront the green crusaders who fund his party, he opened the spigots of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) and pleaded with OPEC+, especially with America’s Persian Gulf allies, to increase production. Gas prices fell between June and September. They settled where they were earlier this year and have ticked upward since.

Biden’s strategy of dependence has run aground. The SPR has been drained to its lowest level since 1984. OPEC+ has told Biden no. The nuclear deal with Iran is in limbo as the mullahs fend off the most significant challenge to their rule in years. And a Wall Street Journal report that the administration was looking into easing sanctions on Nicolas Maduro’s Venezuela so that Chevron could increase output brought jeers from Republicans and a hurried denial from the White House.

The complete and utter INCOMPETENCE and downright America HATE of the Dementia Biden regime simply beggars belief...

Biden really ought to look in the mirror. The OPEC+ embarrassment was the latest reminder that he, not Putin nor Saudi Arabia, is the chief author of the Democratic Party’s current woes. On issue after issue, the instructions that Biden gave at the outset of his presidency have made America less prosperous, less independent, and less secure.

Energy and immigration tell the tale. Biden signed 17 executive orders on his first day in office, and two of them dealt with U.S. oil and gas production. One order pledged that America would rejoin the Paris climate accords and commit to the deal’s targeted reductions in carbon dioxide emissions. The other order blocked oil and gas exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, forbade drilling in large parts of Utah, and canceled the Keystone XL pipeline between the United States and Canada. One week later, Biden stopped issuing new oil and gas leases on public lands.

yep... yep... yep...

Dementia Biden and the Dumbocrats are the cause of EVERY problem facing this country today..

Inflation..
Dementia Biden and the Dumbocrat's fault..

Rampant Violent Crime...
Dementia Biden and the Dumbocrat's fault..

Open Border allowing an invasion of MILLIONS of illegals...
Dementia Biden and the Dumbocrat's fault..

Drugs and terrorists crossing our open southern border...
Dementia Biden and the Dumbocrat's fault..

ALL of this country's woes can be traced back to huge incompetence and downright hatred of America on the part of Dementia Biden and the Dumbocrats.

"These are the facts of the case. And they are undisputed*"

Biden’s Day One Actions Haunt Him Still

Column: The president blunders from one self-inflicted crisis to the next

Yet the White House’s true worry is domestic. Here is how you can tell: Sullivan and Deese mentioned Ukraine only once in their 311-word missive. But they brought up the proverbial gas "pump" twice and U.S. "gas prices" three times. President Biden has been around long enough to understand the special relationship between fuel prices and presidential job approval. He’s incensed that OPEC+ may have helped the Republican opposition weeks before the midterm election.
https://freebeacon.com/columns/bidens-day-one-actions-haunt-him-still/

Ya gotta hand it to the Democrats.. They simply CANNOT catch a break, eh?? :D

There is a HUGE'LY close relationship between gas prices and Presidential Approval Ratings..

And the Saudi's just made sure that Dementia Biden's Approval Ratings are going to tank RIGHT before the mid-term elections..

Such a brutal smackdown by the Saudis couldn't come to a MORE deserving group, eh? :D

If only Dementia Biden had the wisdom and integrity to see that President Trump's energy policies were GOOD for the country and had ZERO additional detrimental effects to the planet...

But Dementia Biden is to senile to realize how badly he has frak'ed up everything from DAY 1...

JL,

What on earth are you talking about?

You are being too literal..

The point is, you are on record as saying that if someone says or does something in private (like make money by gaming the system or by having/helping in Baby Killing) but then PUBLICLY opposes such actions, there is nothing wrong with that..

Forced birth is an absolute moral question; if you support forcing other people's mistresses to give birth but not your own, that makes you a massive hypocrite.

Ah... OK.. So the ONLY beef Dems have with Walker is the hypocrisy??

Well, if THAT is all...

The fact that Dems claim hypocrisy on the part of Walker without owning up to their OWN hypocrisy...

Isn't that the very definition of 'hypocrisy'?? :D

@m,

What on earth are you talking about? If HW wants to raise taxes on himself but still pay as little as he legally can, there's no incongruence because his responsibilities to his family and the taxpayers, although at odds with each other, are both valid and based on the exact same moral foundation, namely fiscal responsibility to others.

Forced birth is an absolute moral question; if you support forcing other people's mistresses to give birth but not your own, that makes you a massive hypocrite.
