Russ,

Well, the "Everything a Dollar" store does a pretty good job of advertising their prices. Working there must be a constant HELL as you just know that they are constantly being asked by customers, "How much does this cost?"

Better than being asked, "Do you work here?" Heh.

So many good things happened under President Trump because President Trump could get good things done....

And what lasting things did President Trump accomplish? What programs did he sign into law that we are still benefiting from today?

What about gutting the Affordable Care Act that he claimed he would get rid of if he was elected President?

I seem to remember on at least three different occasions that Trump promised us that he was going to unveil HIS new healthcare program that would be the best one we have ever seen. It would be beautiful legislation that -- he had heard that people were telling him -- was the greatest thing since sliced bread. That's just what Trump said he had heard people saying about it...

Trump never followed thru on his promise. Trump lied to us.

He did get reverse Obama's regulation that made it illegal to use lead in buckshot, which would poison animals that were wounded with it, but not killed immediately. Those animals would slowly die a horrible death. As would any animal that ate the animal injured by the lead buckshot.

Hunting groups opposed Trump reversing the order, but Trump didn't care! Reversing the good that Obama did was his goal... not serving the interests of the people.

Well, gee whiz.... Seems like things are REAL quiet in Weigantia...

We are all sitting back watching the daily show here in Weigantia... a little dog growling and giving his meanest sound barks out of fear at his own shadow; believing it to be the monsters that he has created in his mind!

I would love to be able to say that the show doesn't get old very quickly, but, alas, I cannot!

What other product is advertised by every place that sells it with a giant price sign out front? None that I know of. Gas prices are unavoidable, plain and simple.

Well, the "Everything a Dollar" store does a pretty good job of advertising their prices. Working there must be a constant HELL as you just know that they are constantly being asked by customers, "How much does this cost?"

We also have a dentist's office that is named "$1,999 Implants" which does dental implants for... well, you guessed it...$1,999!

MacDill airmen rescue 8 civilians from sharks circling their capsized boat

MacDill airmen enacted the dramatic rescue of capsized boat passengers while performing a safety sweep of the waters

Service members assigned to MacDill Air Force Base likely saved the lives of eight people from their capsized boat in the Tampa Bay area after a shark was spotted circling the group.

Airmen from the base were completing a sweep of nearby stormy waters June 12 following an issued small craft advisory due to the weather.

Staff Sgt. William Au and Airman 1st Class Kade Jones, concerned about the danger for small boats, undertook the safety sweep despite the risks.

"It was really rough out. The waves were so tall it was hard to see where they were. The waves just kept coming up and down," said Rivera-Rodriguez.

Now the polls suggest they could abandon him altogether amid frustration with a lack of progress in Washington on everything from climate change to abortion rights.

“A lot of the young people that I’m talking to in particular right now are asking what the point is of having a Democratic trifecta if our rights are still being ripped away,” said Ellen Sciales, communications director at the youth climate activist group the Sunrise Movement.

“Like, what’s the point of voting? And obviously we’re pushing people to vote, but it’s going to make it so much harder for us to do our jobs,” she said.

Biden received high marks from young voters at the start of his presidency. However, a Gallup poll released in April found that Biden’s approval rating had dropped 21 percentage points among Americans belonging to Generation Z — those born between 1997 and 2004 — and 19 percentage points among millennials — those born between 1981 and 1996 — between the start of his presidency and this past March.

There IS no point in voting for Democrats..

Because they simply cannot get things done...

So many good things happened under President Trump because President Trump could get good things done....

Democrats are simply incapable of governing competently...

Even when Democrats have a LOCK on the Executive and the Legislative... Democrats CAN'T accomplish ANYTHING..

The facts are conclusive on this point..

And for Biden's Handlers and the Democrats....

White House faces disaster with young voters

President Biden is facing a disaster with young voters, increasing fears among Democrats that they are in danger of losing a generation if he doesn’t improve his standing with Generation Z.

Biden’s approval rating has declined across the board among Democrats, but the figures with people under 30 years old is cratering.

A New York Times-Siena College poll this week found 94 percent of Democratic primary voters ages 18 to 29 saying the party should nominate someone other than Biden in 2024.

Biden, 79, has never been the candidate for younger Democrats, though they did rally to help him win the White House in 2020 as the president endorsed key progressive policy initiatives to address climate change and other issues.

Michale,

But I wasn't just referring to masks when I said draconian procedures..I am talking about lockdowns and closing of businesses and schools that caused IMMEASURABLE harm to our economy and our children..

Lockdowns and the closing of businesses are certainly the absolute WORST way of controlling a pandemic.

Unfortunately, too many people refused to follow the health protocols that actually do work to control an outbreak and so lockdowns became necessary to save lives AND healthcare systems and reach some level of control.

Wearing a mask is an interesting behavior. Unless you are wearing a high quality mask AND you are following ALL of the essential protocols of mask wearing, wearing a mask is little more than a sign of respect and consideration for the health of your fellow human beings.

When I take the bus to work or when I go to the grocery store or when I'm in any public indoor setting, I am still wearing a mask even though mask wearing is no longer mandated. It's a pretty good quality mask and coordinates with my outfit, more or less, but it ain't up to standard of actually stopping viral particles from getting through. So, I follow the other simple public health protocols, too.

If everyone did what I and many others do, then the COVID-19 pandemic would have ended some time ago. And, we would be better prepared to handle the next one without having to resort to draconian measures like lockdowns.

The *ONLY* thing in peril here is the Democrats and their hysterical HATE AMERICA agenda..

And THAT being in peril is a GOOD thing...

But... We're here to talk about the economy...

Remember the headlines from Democrat Water Carriers in the summer of 2021???

“How Inflation Became the Gasbags’ Favorite Moral Panic.”
-Mother Jones

Or this one:

“Inflation Isn’t Lurking Around the Corner. This Isn’t the 1970s: Democrats need to shelve the memory of stagflation.”
-NY Times

Oh yea... Inflation is nothing to worry about... :eyeroll:

It's amazing that ya'all think that Democrats have ***ANY*** semblance of credibility...

TGIF: Taco Night With the First Lady w/ Bari Weiss

Oh Jill.

On Monday, the First Lady went to “a LatinX IncluXion Luncheon” (sponsored by Amazon, Google, Marriott, UPS, and Wells Fargo). No one wants to be called Latinx even for incluXion. Progressives add Xs to words like lesbians add granola to recipes: It feels right, even if everyone is saying stop. At the luncheon, she said the following: “The diversity of this community—as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio—is your strength.”
“We are not tacos,” responded the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

And ta think... There are moron Democrats out there who poo-poo'ed this away as nothing.. :eyeroll:

Of course.. Racist stereotyping is nothing when Democrats do it.. They are simply bowing to their KKK/Jim Crow roots after all..

Newsom resembles a pathetic owner of a once successful, but now run-down, high-priced gas station without clients. In jealousy, he flails and screams at the newer, gleaming competitor across the street, with superior service, lower prices, and better value - and jam packed with his own former but now wiser customers.

Heh..

That describes Newsom PERFECTLY!! :D

Oh Democrats... What have you done to my once free and awesome state!!?? :^(

Gavin Newsom's Weird Idea of 'Freedom'

In a run-up to what is likely to be a 2024 presidential bid, California Governor Gavin Newsom hit upon the bizarre idea of boasting in commercials that California is America's true "free" state.

Part of his ad campaign is to attack Florida -- currently run by Newsom's possible rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Yet, with the most burdensome regulations and high tax rates, Newsom's California is arguably the most unfree state in the union.

In return for these steep costs, the state's public institutions, infrastructure, and services are among the country's worst.

California's once-vaunted freeway system is near the bottom of all state comparisons. California's Highway 99, which runs the length of the Central Valley, is one of the deadliest roads in America based on miles driven.

Over half the nation's homeless crowd the state's major cities. One-third of America's welfare recipients have flooded into the state. A fifth of the resident population lives below the poverty line. Well over a quarter of Golden State residents were not born in the United States.

California public school test scores consistently fall among the bottom 10 states. San Francisco has the highest per capita property crime rate in the country.

The recently recalled San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin and his soon-to-be recalled Los Angeles counterpart George Gascon have nearly ruined their cities. Both are iconic of multibillionaire George Soros' nationwide efforts to undermine the entire criminal justice system.
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2022/07/14/gavin_newsoms_weird_idea_of_freedom_147886.html

Thanx to Democrats, California is a 3rd world shithole.. :(

What Democrats did to California, Democrats want to do to this country...

It's a GOOD thing that Democrats are going to be relegated to Minority Party status for the rest of my lifetime at least...

OK Let's now here from Democrat Water Carrier CNN...

White House assurances on inflation spark backlash from frustrated swing-state Democrats

(CNN)The White House has been so wrong, so often, on inflation that its latest assurance that the painfully high cost of living has peaked, after more record-busting data, didn't pass muster -- especially with swing state Democrats in an election year.

New statistics on Wednesday showing consumer prices rocketing 9.1% in June year-over-year -- a 40-year high -- dealt another blow to a reeling administration and posed a fresh test of President Joe Biden's capacity to drag his party out of a deepening political hole.
After months of failing to accurately predict the inflationary crisis, the White House was back on a tightrope from which it has often toppled, trying to show Biden feels Americans' pain but confidently predicting relief is around the corner.

Biden insisted in a statement that the figures, while "unacceptably high," were "out-of-date" since they did not properly take into account 30 days of falls in gasoline costs as well as easing prices in commodities like wheat. The President's claim on the granularity of the figures may well be justified. And Biden is hardly the only Western leader saddled by high prices following pandemic-caused supply chain disruptions exacerbated by the war in Ukraine.

But his message was also oddly discordant given the months of frustration millions of Americans have felt. While improvements are possible next month, prices are likely to remain elevated for some time. And since Biden last year said high inflation would "change" more rapidly than people expected, while his aides were calling high prices "transitory," his predictions are unlikely to instill much confidence in imminent relief.
https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/14/politics/democrats-frustrated-biden-inflation-2022/index.html

Ya'all just HAVE to know it's really REALLY bad for Democrats that their own propaganda outlets are now touting the GOP line about Democrat incompetence, eh?? :D

When Democrats OWN propaganda outlets are using the GOP talking points, Democrats just HAVE to know how deep in the hole they are, eh?? :D

Multiple 'Raging' Crises: Failures of 'Progressive' Governance on Full Display This Week

The 2022 midterm elections are less than four months away, and the urgent need for change could not be more clear. We addressed yesterday's dreadful INFLATION report earlier -- with everyday costs and energy prices pounding away at American families' bottom lines, and analysts issuing increasingly dire recession projections.

All deep blue cities, all wracked by serious crime problems. You cannot buy a cup of Starbucks coffee at the major rail hub in our nation's capital because it's too dangerous to operate the store, but if you're a bodega owner who defends yourself against a violent assault in New York City, you get tossed in jail and charged with murder (an appalling decision that I suspect will be reversed). Very healthy society. Superb governance by "compassionate" and "progressive" so-called leadership.

BEIRUT, Lebanon — The Saudi Arabia that President Biden will visit this week is a country being actively reshaped by the whims and visions of one man: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

As the de facto ruler of the oil-rich monarchy, the 36-year-old prince has cast himself as a reformer, loosening some restrictions of ultraconservative Islam by permitting women to drive and allowing once-forbidden cinemas and concerts.

But the prince’s rule has also been defined by his institutionalization of force — both to quash domestic dissent and to pursue a more muscular foreign policy. Stepping beyond the old Saudi model of quietly cultivating influence with cash-driven diplomacy, Prince Mohammed has bombed Yemen, moved aggressively to jail activists and critics and, according to the Central Intelligence Agency, dispatched the hit squad that murdered the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

It was because of these human rights concerns that Mr. Biden vowed during his election campaign to make Saudi Arabia a “pariah” and refused once in office to speak with Prince Mohammed, seeking to punish him with isolation.

It did not work.
https://dnyuz.com/2022/07/14/bidens-saudi-lesson-the-only-path-runs-through-m-b-s/

So typically Democrat...

Scream and cry and stamp your feet about the Saudi "Pariah" State...

But then have to grovel hat in hand and beg the "Pariah" state, "Please sir.. May We Have Some More Oil.."

:eyeroll:

What *IS* it about Democrats that they simply have no backbone?? No spine??

If only Biden's Handlers had the intelligence to recognize that America has PLENTY of oil on it's own...

But Democrats are too stoopid and too filed with hate and PTDS to acknowledge that President Trump had it right...

Some Doctors Rethink Careers After States Restrict Abortions

Doctors who perform abortions are considering their options after the Supreme Court’s ruling leaves them unable to continue their work.
https://www.wsj.com/articles/some-doctors-rethink-careers-after-states-restrict-abortions-11657791001

GOOD!

Why ANY doctor would want to specialize in baby-killing is simply beyond my comprehension..

I always thought doctors were in it to SAVE lives.. Not TAKE lives..

Well, we have Democrat "scientists" who care nothing about science..

So, I guess we now have Democrat "doctors" who care nothing about the sanctity of life...

Typical of Democrats.. :eyeroll:

The ONLY thing at play here is the Democrat desire to destroy America... :eyeroll:

Long lines are back at US food banks as inflation hits high

PHOENIX (AP) — Long lines are back at food banks around the U.S. as working Americans overwhelmed by inflation turn to handouts to help feed their families.

With gas prices soaring along with grocery costs, many people are seeking charitable food for the first time, and more are arriving on foot.

Inflation in the U.S. is at a 40-year high and gas prices have been surging since April 2020, with the average cost nationwide briefly hitting $5 a gallon in June. Rapidly rising rents and an end to federal COVID-19 relief have also taken a financial toll.

The food banks, which had started to see some relief as people returned to work after pandemic shutdowns, are struggling to meet the latest need even as federal programs provide less food to distribute, grocery store donations wane and cash gifts don’t go nearly as far.

Once again, proof positive that Democrats simply CAN'T govern competently...

Baby-Formula Shortage Deepens, Defying Replenishment Efforts

Out-of-stock levels remain high in U.S. stores: ‘Until those shelves are full, the crisis continues’

U.S. stores are still struggling to stock baby formula despite monthslong efforts by manufacturers and the Biden administration to boost supplies.

Availability of powdered formula products in U.S. stores earlier this month dropped to the lowest level so far this year, with about 30% of products out of stock for the week ended July 3, according to the market-research firm IRI. While availability improved slightly last week, out-of-stock levels remain higher than in recent months, and shortages remain acute in states including Alaska, Utah and Wyoming, IRI data showed.

Democrats in government have known about this problem even long before Biden's Handlers have known..

And yet, they STILL can't get things going!!!

Florida sheriff releases video of armed home intruders fleeing when intended victim fires back with rifle

The Escambia County sheriff said the Florida homeowner 'did absolutely nothing wrong'

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office released video of a Florida homeowner firing a rifle at home intruders as deputies try to identify the fourth suspect.

Three of the suspects approached the victim's home while a fourth waited in a car. When the victim unlocked the front door, two of the men allegedly pushed their way inside and started attacking him, while the third waited outside with a handgun.

The victim was armed but lost his gun during the scuffle, then ran to the back of his house and grabbed an AK-47-style rifle, which he started firing at the intruders, Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons said.

"He did absolutely nothing wrong," Simmons told "Fox & Friends First" on Thursday. "If someone breaks into my front door, barges and attacks me or my family, they're going to get shot, and I afford that same consideration to the residents of my county."

THIS....^^^^^ THIS is exactly why Democrats are as wrong as wrong can be when it comes to the 2nd Amendment..

Democrats, being the pro-criminal and pro-scumbag Party they are, want to disarm law-abiding Americans and leave them at the mercy of armed thugs and scumbags..

THIS is EXACTLY why The Democrat Party is the Hate Patriotic Americans Party... :eyeroll:

Manchin says he won't support climate, tax provisions in sweeping Democratic bill

Manchin and Schumer had been negotiating for months and Manchin previously supported having both provisions in the package

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and his staff told Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D, N.Y., unequivocally Thursday that he is only willing to support a reconciliation bill in August that includes a provision to lower prescription drugs prices and a two-year extension of subsidies for the Affordable Care Act, according to a Democrat briefed on the conversations.

Manchin was explicit that he won't support a bill before the midterms with any provisions on energy and climate or closing tax loopholes exploited by the wealthy and biggest corporations, despite his support for those specific things during months of negotiations.
Democrats had hoped to pass a sweeping package to tout during the midterms.

The great realignment

Shifts in the demographics of the two parties' supporters — taking place before our eyes — are arguably the biggest political story of our time.

The big picture: Republicans are becoming more working class and a little more multiracial. Democrats are becoming more elite and a little more white.

Why it matters: Democrats' hopes for retaining power rest on nonwhite voters remaining a reliable part of the party's coalition. Democrats' theory of the case collapses if Republicans make even incremental gains with those voters.

What's happening: Democratic strategists say the party's biggest vulnerability is assuming that the priorities of progressive activists are the same as those of working-class voters.

Progressive activists led the push to cut police budgets. Communities of color have borne the brunt of higher crime.
Hispanics living on the U.S.-Mexico border are more likely to favor tougher border security measures that Republicans have championed.

The recall of liberal school board members and a district attorney in San Francisco was fueled by disillusioned Asian-American Democrats.

Do ya'all remember when ya'all were so giddy with excitement that Democrats were going to turn Texas blue???

Media take notice as Hispanics ditch Democratic Party with ‘once in a generation’ political realignment
Republicans have gained ground in every demographic except one.

The left-leaning media and powerful Democrats alike have taken notice that Hispanics are ditching the Democratic Party.

The "biggest political story of our time" is the major shift in the demographics of the two parties, with Republicans gaining major ground among Hispanic voters and becoming increasingly working-class and multiracial, according to a new report by Axios.

The Thursday article, entitled "The Great Realignment," details a Democratic Party that is becoming more elite and "a little more white," as inroads in a number of ethnic groups for Republicans could turn the tide in numerous Democratic-held swing seats.

One of the most notable points of data shows that Democrats are "statistically tied" with Republicans in congressional ballots when it comes to the Hispanic vote. The metric becomes more shocking when turning the page back to 2018, when the Democratic Party held a 47-point advantage with Hispanics in the midterms. Also notable is an April NBC News poll, which showed Democrats losing ground in every demographic, besides college-educated women, where they gained 10 points since 2010.

The Hysterical Left Wingery is waking up to the fact that they have lost soooo much ground to the GOP with hispanic Americans. :D

There is simply no way that Democrats will be able to hold on to Congress.. :D

The Hysterical Left Wingery is waking up to the fact that they have lost soooo much ground to the GOP with hispanic Americans. :D

There is simply no way that Democrats will be able to hold on to Congress.. :D

Right now, by many indicators, the economy is doing great --

Yea, by CHERRY PICKED indicators..

But hay...

I really hope Democrats will go with the "Hay people.. By indicators, the economy is doing great!!" message...

It will simply add MORE facts that PROVE beyond ANY doubt that Democrats are completely and utterly out of touch with reality... :D

Russ,

Draconian lockdown procedures? A mask is "draconian" to you, snowflake?

Even if I WERE talking just about masks, you would STILL be wrong..

Shall I point you to all the FACTS about the harm, pain and discomfort that wearing masks 8-10-12 hrs a day causes?? Especially amongst children??

But I wasn't just referring to masks when I said draconian procedures..

I am talking about lockdowns and closing of businesses and schools that caused IMMEASURABLE harm to our economy and our children..

ALL of which was completely unnecessary and, according to the CD&GC and other health experts, did absolutely MORE harm than good..

Former president Trump's attempt to overturn the election failed. Trump's insurrection failed to stop the clear winner of the 2020 election from becoming the current President of the USA.

Didn't know you couldn't figure these out for yourself.

Even though you have NO FACTS to prove this at all, that wasn't what I was referring to..

How are you going to explain how Trump is fit to be President when his attorneys start arguing that he is not competent to face charges stemming from his failed insurrection attempt?

Do you have any FACTS to support your bullshit claim that President Trump's attorneys are going to argue this??

Do you have ANY facts to support that bullshit claim??

Of course you don't...

Just like you don't have ANY facts to support ANY of your bullshit claims about me..

So yea.. It's ALWAYS easy to explain your facts..

They are ALL bullshit..

CW

The average price of a gallon of gas in the U.S. went just over $5.00 a month ago. But it's been falling ever since, and it now stands at $4.60 -- down over 40 cents in a month.

We're below the average price here in Texas; I paid $3.84 earlier today, and it's falling dang near every day too for about a month now.

I would pay 10x that price to have a governor and attorney general here in Texas who weren't furiously digging ever deeper in order to keep up with the other GOP horses' asses in their race to the "bottom" that is bottomless.
