He found that in-person voting for the neighboring precincts was about the same, but absentee or mailed balloting tilted toward Democrats in the Democratic precincts.

Mr. Lott said there is no clear reason why absentee turnout alone should increase in just the Democratic jurisdiction, which suggests shenanigans were afoot.

Or it was because Democrats took the COVID-19 warnings seriously while the GOP base invaded each other’s personal space trying to prove that they were the most ignorant Trump supporter of them all.

It could also be that there were fewer GOP voters alive to request absentee ballots thanks to Trump rallies killing them off.

Michale[162],

I do read Foreign Affairs but, as you would surmise, I don't always agree with everything in it.

Especially when one considers that Biden had the power to stop the war before it began and dropped the ball..

So, Michale, tell me how you think Biden could have stopped the war.

I also notice, Michale, you do a lot of boxing in of article headlines and then cut and paste a lot of what's in the articles.

That's not necessary.

Just do a fancy link - I know you know how to do them! - and write your own thoughts.

Otherwise, I have no time to respond.

Lott's data corresponds with the fact that the Presidential race and the down stream races showed a remarkable divergence...

The downstream races broke overwhelmingly for the GOP... The Presidential race broke for Democrats...

Yes, Trump was that bad of a president that many Republicans voted for Biden but still voted republican down ticket. The Occam's Razor answer. Plus Lott's methodology has been debunked...

Ya'all STILL believe that Biden won the election fair and square.. Even though the FACTS prove otherwise..

Biden got 255,000 ‘excess’ votes in fraud-tainted swing states in 2020, study finds

President Biden received hundreds of thousands of “excess” votes in Democratic-controlled areas in the 2020 election, according to an academic study on voter fraud that suggests the push to relax voting standards created new opportunities for electoral mischief.

John R. Lott Jr., the man behind the research, teased out those numbers by comparing Democratic-dominant areas to Republican-dominant places over the past two presidential elections, particularly in places where claims of election fraud were reported in 2020.

Looking at six swing states, the data he crunched found that voter turnout in Republican areas increased from 2016 to 2020 while voter turnout among Democrats dropped — except in places where voter fraud was claimed.

“In some of those swing states, you had counties where vote fraud was alleged. In some of those swing states, you had counties where vote fraud wasn’t alleged. And yet you only had huge increases in turnout where vote fraud was alleged,” he said.

Taking another tack, Mr. Lott looked at specific voting precincts that touched each other but where one was inside a Republican-dominant county and the other inside a Democratic-leaning county where there were fraud accusations.

“You’re comparing two tiny areas that are very homogenous, very similar to each other, across the street from each other, and the thing that differs from these two, for the absentee ballots, is where the ballots were counted,” the researcher said.

Add these facts to all the other PRE-election fraud where Democrats bought entire election boards and the picture it paints is clear..

But hay.. Water under the bridge, right??

But now we know what to look for in the 2022 and 2024 elections.. :D

Democrats won't be able to try those same tricks again...

FEC fines Hillary Clinton campaign and DNC over Trump-Russia dossier research

Washington (CNN)Federal election regulators fined Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee earlier this month for not properly disclosing the money they spent on controversial opposition research that led to the infamous Trump-Russia dossier.

The DNC was fined $105,000 and the Clinton campaign was fined $8,000, according to a letter sent by the Federal Election Commission to a conservative group that requested an inquiry.

Political candidates and groups are required to publicly disclose their spending to the FEC, and they must explain the purpose of any specific expenditure more than $200. The FEC concluded that the Clinton campaign and DNC misreported the money that funded the dossier, masking it as "legal services" and "legal and compliance consulting" instead of opposition research.

MC,

Not factually accurate..

I have a PROVEN track record of changing my opinion when the FACTS warrant it..

Unlike ya'all..

Hell, ya'all STILL believe that there was collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign, even though the FACTS prove other wise..

Ya'all believe that there is nothing to the Hunter Biden laptop, even though the FACTS prove other wise..

Ya'all believe that global warming is going to destroy the planet even though the FACTS prove otherwise..

Ya'all believe Kyle Rittenhouse and George Zimmerman committed murder even thought the FACTS prove otherwise..

I could list HUNDREDS of things ya'all believe/don't believe even though the FACTS conclusively prove ya'all wrong..

So, yer claim is nothing but projection and denial...

But I still like ya anyways.. :D

Biden opens the Title 42 gates – prepare for madness

As if the border crisis isn’t damaging enough, with 2.5 million illegal migrants having crossed into the United States since Joe Biden took office, now the administration is going to make it exponentially worse by unwinding the last Trump-era restriction.

The Title 42 policy, implemented by the Trump administration during the pandemic to allow border officials to quickly expel migrants on public health grounds, will be terminated next month, the CDC announced Friday.
Even moderate Democrats think the move is insane. Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Sens. Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona have condemned the plan to nix Title 42.

Manchin described it as “a frightening decision … Title 42 has been an essential tool in combating the spread of COVID-19 and controlling the influx of migrants at our southern border.

When Biden says the world is united against Russia, he is full of kaa kaa

Many countries have heaped opprobrium on Russia, but condemnation has not been universal. The varied responses to the war muddle any vision of U.S.-aligned democracies pitted against Russian-aligned autocracies. Several major democracies, notably India and South Africa, abstained from the UN General Assembly vote on March 2 that demanded that Russia withdraw from Ukraine. Big democracies in Latin America, including Brazil and Mexico, have refused to participate in sanctions. Close to half of all Asian and African countries abstained or voted against the resolution. And only three Asian countries—Japan, Singapore, and South Korea—have wholeheartedly joined U.S. and EU sanctions on Russia.

The facts are clear..

Hay Liz,

Yer a Foreign Affairs Dot Com fan, right???

The Fantasy of the Free World
Are Democracies Really United Against Russia?

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has provoked outrage and unleashed a barrage of economic sanctions from many Western governments. Some, such as Germany, have boosted their military spending after years of riding on American coattails. In these actions, certain analysts have found a silver lining to the devastation of the war in Ukraine. Writing in Foreign Affairs in March, Michael Beckley and Hal Brands argued that the international reaction to the invasion would reverberate well beyond the current crisis. The concerted response to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s actions could “consolidate a global alliance that unites democracies against Russia and China and thereby secures the free world for a generation to come.” In this view, Russia’s war in Ukraine might be a pivotal episode in a global contest between autocracy and democracy. Chastened by Putin’s gross violation of norms, democracies will band together in a muscular reaffirmation of the liberal international order.

That is wishful thinking. The war is no doubt a seismic event that will have profound consequences for Russia, its immediate neighbors, and the rest of Europe. But it will neither reshape the global order nor presage an ideological showdown of democracies against China and Russia. After all, many of the world’s biggest democracies, including India, have so far not joined the U.S.-led economic campaign against Russia or even explicitly condemned the invasion. Far from consolidating “the free world,” the war has underscored its fundamental incoherence. In any case, the future of global order will be decided not by wars in Europe but by the contest in Asia, on which events in Ukraine have limited bearing.

We're going to learn more and more about Hunter Biden's illegal activities and Joe Biden's involvement over the coming months..

AND we are also going to learn more and more about the malfeasance and Leftist agendas of Big Media and Big Tech in the process...

And then when Jan 2023 rolls around.. :D

Weekley televised impeachment hearings of Joe Biden.. :D

Democrats have established the precedent that Presidents can be impeached simply over political differences..

I am sure the GOP is going to fully embrace that precedent.. :D

Washington Post editorial board admits Hunter Biden story is a 'reckoning' for media

Washington Post authenticated emails from Hunter's infamous laptop on Wednesday

A Sunday editorial from the Washington Post editorial board called for a public reckoning over the media's handling over the Hunter Biden laptop story.

The editorial is titled "The Hunter Biden story is an opportunity for a reckoning," and discusses what the press should learn from the saga surrounding Hunter Biden's laptop. In particular, the article referenced why news outlets like themselves are now authenticating thousands of emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop when the emails were first reported in 2020. While the editorial board insisted that did not prove any corruption on the part of President Biden, this did raise several questions about the media.

I consider whether or not to believe in the concept of religion is an adult decision and that exposing children to religion is child abuse.

I would agree with you to a certain extent...

It would depend on how far it's taken..

There are good morality lessons to be found in religion...

But for those households who get fanatical about it, I would agree that THAT is no bueno...

SF,

EM #123 So what is your magic solution the the Ukraine problem. What is the secret sauce (common sense) that will assuage Putin's lust for Empire and at the same time preserve Ukrainian freedoms and sovereignty?

The solution was simple for people with military experience AND more than 2 brain cells to rub together..

It's accepted as fact, both then and now, that Putin does NOT want to face NATO..

So, Biden could have put troops in Ukraine and Putin would not have attacked..

It's that simple...

MyVoice..

What I'll be looking forward to are the lawsuits that roll in for teachers referring to students as a whole as boys and girls, or individually as he or she, or insisting on being addressed as Mr., Mrs., or any other gendered title. Then there's the issue of schools maintaining separate bathrooms for "boys" and "girls."
Any gendered/sexually-oriented reference of any sort needs to be banished from K-3. It's just not age-appropriate.
Maybe next we can go after the parents who dress their infant "boys" in blue and "girls" in pink. We don't want them projecting their ideas about gender identity on newborns and toddlers.

I know you are being sarcastic here but what's so sad is that Disney is doing JUST THAT..

They are removing "boys and girls" and "ladies and gentlemen" from ALL of their theme park oratory..

How is THAT for Democrats Gone Whacked, eh?? :^/

Russ,

. I had stated earlier that Students in Florida won’t be taught pronouns until their first semester in college, so that’ll drop the state’s educational rankings even lower than they currently are!

And yet, once again, the FACTS prove how utterly full of crap you and MyVoice are.. :D

FLORIDA
Florida ranks third in national ranking for K-12 achievement

Florida outperforms the nation in 15 of 18 K-12 Achievement measures.

Florida is ranked 2nd for improving the high school graduation rate.

Florida is ranked 3rd for improvement in grade 4 mathematics.

Florida is ranked 4th for improvement in grade 8 reading.

Let's see where Democrat states are.. :D

NEW YORK
So how did New York State rank? New York ranked 13th overall, with a total score of 57.37. The state also ranked 19th in educational attainment and 14th in quality of education.

CALIFORNIA
California is 36th in nation in Education Week's latest rankings in per-student spending.

So... Given these FACTS, it would see your claims are, once again, PROVEN to be nothing but political hate and bigotry...

It was Madison Cawthorn who was complaining about the senior citizen cocaine orgies, not the Democrats.

Hypocrisy is the anti-drug party Republicans getting busted by one of their own describing witnessing GOP leaders key bumping cocaine!

I suppose you would take this guy's word for it if he said something AGAINST Democrats, eh?? :^/

Russ,

Especially when the laws you are referring to aren’t anywhere close to being “strict”!

So, your saying California doesn't have strict gun laws compared to say, Texas???

This is why it's rare we have a meeting of the minds, Russ...

You're theories are way out there and have no basis in facts or reality.. :^/

Russ,

This law prevents NOTHING!

According to hysterical Democrats, the law prevents saying gay...

According to YOU, the law prevents children from talking about gender bender issues..

NOW you are claiming that the law doesn't prevent ANYTHING???

You obviously STILL haven't read the law..

No. I do not think those are appropriate lessons to be taught to kindergartners.

Then we are in agreement.. So, then you should have NO PROBLEM with the FL Parents Rights In Education law..

And yes, the law prevents teachers from teaching sexual gender related issues to 4, 5 and 6 yr olds..

}}}Does it say ANYWHERE in the law that a child cannot seek counseling on gender issues??{{{{

No

OK.. Then you have no problem with the FL law..

We have common ground..

Nothing is wrong with the FL Parents Rights In Education law..

Glad we can get that settled.. :D

MtnCaddy,

Thanks for trying to start things going with Talking Heads. I just learned that they released their debut album in 1977! That was a very good year, my friend - the year of PRiSM's eponymous debut album. Which was the first debut album by a Canadian artist to achieve platinum status in Canada!!! Of course, it would go on to even more acclaim. Not too surprising given how PRiSM came to be ...

Next time you try to take over, try harder - welcome everyone to the party and play more of your favourites! I'm sure others will join in on the fun ... well, the ones who like to have some fun, anyways. :)

MtnCaddy,

As you know, we usually don't get underway Sunday Nights much before 7pm PST, as a nod to Chris and to our left coast friends.

However, this past week was a rough one and I worked every freakin' day, including Sunday. After dinner I had what was supposed to be a short nap but ended up waking up just now.

MyVoice,

That’s a great plan for dealing with this law. I think just referring to all students as “it” is also appropriate. I had stated earlier that Students in Florida won’t be taught pronouns until their first semester in college, so that’ll drop the state’s educational rankings even lower than they currently are!

That's okay, Elizabeth. Despite predictions about nukes flying (kind of like predicting that black Americans would ever vote for Trump) there are many Sunday evenings that are yet to come.

[130] ListenWhenYouHear:
Here's a fun link: Memo Circulated To Florida Teachers Lays Out Clever Sabotage Of 'Don't Say Gay' Law

Biden took President Trump's deal and threw it in the toilet, supplanted BIDEN-wisdom for MILITARY wisdom and got 13 American soldiers killed..

So Republicans were to blame for the deaths on 9/11?

Apparently, strict gun laws do NOT prevent mass shootings..

Especially when the laws you are referring to aren’t anywhere close to being “strict”! These laws aren’t written to prevent those with access to firearms from committing mass murder. They prevent someone who does not have access to a gun from buying one and committing mass murder that same day. Requiring gun owners to be licensed with a photo ID and forced to pass comprehensive tests to assure the owner knows how to use a gun safely; requiring gun owners to register all of their firearms with the government and imposing massive fines and mandatory loss of 2nd Amendment rights for failing to properly register a firearm would be “strict” gun laws that could make a huge difference in the amount of gun violence in this country.

Why are you so hysterical about taking down a law that would prevent something you claim has never happened and WILL never happen??

There are so many things wrong with your argument that it’s hard to know where to begin, but we will start with the most glaring one in this case:

This law prevents NOTHING!

Do you think that teachers should teach lesson plans to 4 5 and 6 yr olds that discusses sexual activity, sexual preferences or gender mutations??

No. I do not think those are appropriate lessons to be taught to kindergartners. But this law doesn’t prevent teachers from teaching those lessons. This law does not allow law enforcement to arrest a teacher that breaks this law…they face no criminal charges for violating this law!

No, any teacher that teaches on “gender mutations” should be fired immediately as only talent scouts looking for child actors to be in child porn, beastiality and snuff films use such offensive verbiage. And when did Florida start allowing underaged kids into kindergarten? When did kindergarten’s age restriction start allowing children under 5yo at the start of the school year enroll in classes?

Why doesn’t the law protect newborns, 1 yo, 2 yo, and 3 yo from being taught if they ever touch their own genitals, it will cause their parents to die? Republicans don’t truly want to protect these children it would appear.

Does it say ANYWHERE in the law that a child cannot seek counseling on gender issues??

No, because even Republicans know that you can’t stop a child from seeking counseling on gender issues by passing an idiotic law!

But any teacher that responds to that child risks being sued if the parent does not believe that is an age appropriate discussion for them to have with their child. And seeing how the law intentionally avoids defining what is and isn’t appropriate across the wide range of potential topics for those 5 - 18 yo, teachers’ using their best judgement still risk being sued.

Bash,

None of what you say is factually accurate..

It was perfectly clear to those who understand military matters (which leaves you out) that Putin did not want to fight NATO..

That was obvious..

But Biden's handlers wanted this war.. They thought it would give Biden a boost..

Leave it to Biden to frak even THAT up..

Biden's approval is still falling..

It is accepted as fact that Putin does NOT want to face NATO...

Now. Not before the war started. I think Biden did the one thing Trump never did and actually pay attention to the national security apparatus and they told him Putin was going to attack and there was little chance of avoiding that, diplomatically or otherwise. That is why Biden released all the spoilers for the invasion.

Trump weakened NATO, or at least Putin thought he did. Putin would not attack the central players as either they would be defended or could defend themselves (France has a perfectly reputable nuclear triad). But he did think he could chip away at the fringes, and the US and central players would say mean things and toss some token sanctions but in the end would not commit military force, especially if it was small "disputed" areas and not the entire country...

Biden needs to pivot on these 5 issues before a tornado hits Democrats

After the dramatic decline in Biden approval ratings began, things have only gotten worse

On issue after issue, Biden has had and still has the opportunity to move to the center and bring back enough suburban and independent voters to the party. So far, he has doubled down on many of his left-leaning policies. As a result, a tornado is heading towards the Democrat party. Six months after the dramatic decline in Biden approval ratings began, things have only gotten worse on almost every count.

It’s a fact that either is going to be reckoned with now or, as happened in 1994 and 2010, reckoned with at the ballot box. Moderate Democrats have floated their own agenda to try to separate themselves from the administration. But, so far, Biden is staying the course rather than pivoting to the center.

Seven Worst-Case Scenarios From the War in Ukraine

Most conflicts end quickly, but this one looks increasingly like it won’t. The repercussions could range from global stagflation to World War III.

Explicitly calling Putin a war criminal and for his removal from power meaningfully increases the risk of either chemical or nuclear weapons being used in Ukraine. And if nuclear weapons are used once in the 21st century, I fear they will be used again. An obvious consequence of the war in Ukraine is that numerous states around the world will intensify their pursuit of nuclear arms. For nothing more clearly illustrates their value than the fate of Ukraine, which gave them up in 1994 in exchange for worthless assurances. The era of nonproliferation is over.

"We need to spend less time on these witch hunts targeting our own soldiers and spending more time focused on strategic threats like China and Russia and any others that are threatening our country.

If Joe Biden had put this much time into developing an exit strategy for Afghanistan than he does targeting our own soldiers … then maybe the 13 service members who lost their lives back in that country would be alive today."

And once again, it's PROVEN how full of shit Democrats are...

The Pentagon is investigating extremism in the military. Here’s how bad the problem is

Dozens of current and former service members spoke to Fox News about extremism within the ranks

The Pentagon’s most recent search for extremists within the ranks was just the latest failure to find evidence that the military is a breeding ground for violent radicals, a Fox News review has found.

The Department of Defense identified fewer than 100 instances of confirmed extremist activity in 2021, the Pentagon reported in December. Despite significant rhetoric from Democrats, media pundits and activists, the finding was unsurprising to more than 30 current and former service members who spoke with Fox News.

"I noticed zero extremism during my time in the military," Matthew Griffin, a former Army Ranger, told Fox News. "None. Didn't witness it at all."

The service members Fox News interviewed ranged from cadet to major. They spanned five branches and the political spectrum, and their service dates as far back as 1980.

Being unable to find even 100 extremists in the military "is a success story and shows that extremism is not a large problem," a former command sergeant major said.

Wide rift in Russia, Ukraine negotiations could mean drawn out war that favors Putin: experts say

Putin is much more prepared for a drawn-out conflict than Zelenskyy, experts say

SF,

From everything I have read and from speaking the Ukrainians with relatives still in country, it is obvious that the only way to stop this war quickly is to simply give Mr. Putin control of the country.

Actually, the only way to stop this war is to have prevented it from starting in the first place..

It is accepted as fact that Putin does NOT want to face NATO...

Had Biden put US troops in harm's way (It's IN the job description fer christ's sake!!) then Putin never would have invaded Ukraine...

Sure it would have been a risk. A small risk...

But the alternative is what is transpiring now...

How many thousands dead?? An entire country, turned to rubble...

It's almost as if Biden's handlers WANTED this war in a vain attempt to boost Biden's approval ratings..

EM #31 ---
"If even a modicum of common sense prevailed, there would be no war in Ukraine and no suffering and death over a European security alliance."
I have no idea what you are talking about in this sentence. Do we live in different worlds. From everything I have read and from speaking the Ukrainians with relatives still in country, it is obvious that the only way to stop this war quickly is to simply give Mr. Putin control of the country. Is that what you are advocating? Putin has said on numerous occasions that he intends to roll Ukraine into his new Russian Empire. Do you see that as a desirable outcome? Do you really believe that there is some easy way to get him to simply say "I'm sorry and will leave now"?

The overwhelming consensus of opinion is that the only way to get him to leave is to raise his cost of continuing the invasion to a point where he will be forced to concede and back out. Unfortunately, this will take a little longer. Largely, because the entire Russian command is so rotten that Mr Putin still does not realize just how bad a shape he is in. When he finally realizes that he can not get what he wants he will negotiate a face saving deal and head home.

So, I offered to give you links..

I just want to hear you say yer ignorant of the subject...

So, I'll ask again...

So, you need LINKS to show that Biden has normalized relations with Venezuela in a bid to get more oil..

And you need LINKS to show that Biden has begged Saudi Arabia to pump more oil..

I just want to be clear on the ignorance that you are admitting to...

Lemme know when you actually want the links, MC.. :D

Your comments aren't facts, they're your opinions. Post a link that supports your point (like every non troll here) or just run your mouth. Whatever you like, it's not important.

You have already conceded that you don't READ my links..

So, why should I bother??

I don't need links to prove it to myself.. *I* already know it's factually accurate..

YOU say you want links then you say you won't read the links...

Willful ignorance.. :D

I get it MC.. Some people can only make it through life if they ignore the facts and ignore reality..

They turn to drugs and such... I saw soo much of that when I was a cop..

So I understand.. I really do..

I mean, seriously, MC..

Don't you think it's a tad ridiculous not to mention intellectually dishonest that you DEMAND "links" to prove my claims, but then concede that you refuse to read my links..

It's obvious, you don't WANT to know the facts.. You prefer to wallow in ignorance...

#FloridaMan demonstrates a veritable catalog of dance moves:

Whataboutism

Changing the subject

Shamelessness (it's been a GQP thing since Eisenhower)

Deflection

Faux outrage to distract

Name calling when unable to defend his position

Never admitting any error, no matter how egregious/obvious

Big Oil is refusing to drill on some 9,000 public lands permits because scarcity increases profits. Good ole capitalism,, high?

Because the Biden administration has made developing those permits economically too expensive to use..

It's like when you win one of those "free cruises"...

It's a FREE CRUISE.. But you have to pay taxes and licensing and transportation and a whole plethora of other costs to GET your "free cruise"...

So it is with those 9,000 "permits" that are available.. Yes, the permits are "available".. But Biden has made them WAY to expensive to be economically feasible..

Yer not very good with this FACTS thing are you?? :^/
