Michale. [OB] Well, if this even actually happened, she's obviously frak'ed in the head... Since I have three great kids.. :D

How was she to know anything about who you are accept through assessing your messages for hints into your personality…or lack there of. She based her assessment solely on your posts. The fact that you are married with three kids does not change the truth that you have the personality of an INCEL on here! That seems to have struck a nerve with you… that her conclusions were so spot on that even you recognize it!

It doesn't matter whether they are the same or not, though they often are.

You have claimed they are... OVER and OVER again..

That's the biggest fault in your entire theory..

NOW you are intimating that they are NOT the same by claiming them being the same doesn't even matter!???

They share the common goal of making more money at the expense of ordinary citizens and democracy.

WOW.. Really??

You think those people at THAT level are about making more money???!!???

BBBBWWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHA

We simply cannot have a rational discussion because I am talking about high level chess and you are talking about tiddly winks..

The FBI director, Christopher Wray, reported shortly after January 6, 2021 that there was no evidence connecting those who had trespassed and vandalized the Capitol with the Trump campaign. They’ve detained hundreds of alleged Capitol trespassers without trial for many months, presumably subjecting them to the customary American prosecutor’s interrogations designed to extort useful evidence with threats of indictments or release and immunity from perjury charges, (with reckless disregard for accuracy).

The entire impetus to attack Trump is inspired by the desperate partisanship of a failed Democratic administration and Congress awaiting a severe electoral rebuke in November, and facing an array of apparently well-founded investigations themselves. The Trump-haters have been trying desperately to create the necessary ambiance of righteous unction; reputable commentators like George Will and Peggy Noonan refer to the incident at the Capitol as “1/6” to confer upon it the infamy of 9/11 and to confirm the George Will view that he and his staff were in physical danger on that particular January 6, even though they were miles away from the Capitol. The even more lapidary Thomas Friedman at the New York Times is of the opinion that January 6, 2021 ranks with Pearl Harbor and 9/11, as well, of course, as the imaginary Russian influence on the 2016 presidential election that he endlessly touted.

What IS it about Democrats that they are so completely and utterly deluded???

The day is now not far off when wokeness, American self-hate, foreign appeasement, and the indulgence of criminal and corrupt organizations like Black Lives Matter will end.

Biden/Democrat Policies protect Nazi illegal immigrant..

Illegal immigrant who allegedly drew swastikas in DC Union Station won't be deported: ICE

Geraldo Pando, a Mexican national, has been deported four times before

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said it will not seek to deport an illegal immigrant who allegedly drew swastikas in Washington D.C.’s Union Station and who has previously been deported four times — with the agency citing the capital’s "sanctuary city" policies.

Geraldo Pando, a Mexican national, was arrested last month for vandalism and is accused of having drawn the Nazi symbols a day after International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The incident is being investigated as a possible "hate crime."

No. you are claiming that I am claiming they are part of the same group as an excuse to avoid addressing that they both work the big money interests.

But they don't work for the SAME big money interests..

That is where your ENTIRE argument falls apart.

YOU claim that they ARE the same money interests..

When the FACTS prove beyond ANY doubt that they are COMPLETELY different big money interests with completely different goals..

THAT is where you fail..

BIG MONEY in and of itself is not inherently evil...

BIG MONEY can AND HAS done some very VERY good things in this world..

It was BIG MONEY who put a man on the moon.. It was BIG MONEY who made the US the ONLY remaining Superpower..

Your problem is you are myopically fighting a single group when it's actually 2 different groups..

Such myopic tunnel-vision makes you ill equipped to fight EITHER group..

You need to pick a lane or else you'll always be on the shoulder, plodding along on foot while traffic (and life) whizzes you by...

Biden’s Focus for SCOTUS Pick Is Wrong and Demeaning

With Justice Stephen Breyer’s announced retirement, public discussion has turned to whom President Biden will nominate for the United States Supreme Court. Unfortunately, the focus of the media, politicians, and pundits so far has been overwhelmingly on two characteristics, race and sex, as President Biden has promised to nominate a black woman.

This focus is sad for several reasons. First, it distracts us from the qualities that matter most in a judge. Martin Luther King Jr. famously said he looked forward to a time when his children would “not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Judicial candidates should be assessed not by their skin color but their judicial ability and philosophy. How learned in the law is the potential nominee? Does she show skill in the art of composing clear and thoughtful opinions that explain the law, the facts, and the reasoning in applying the case? Does she see judges exercising “merely judgment” as Federalist 78 defined judicial power?

Again you make the argument that because they do it for different reasons that it is okay because of your ridiculous and unsupported conclusions about the reasons the Deathocrats and Republikillers take big money to achieve your imagined objectives of both halves of the big money party.

No.. I don't claim it's OK..

I simply point out the FACT that they are not part of the same group...

Your baseless conclusions on the ideologies of the Deathocrats and Republikillers does not mean they do not both work for the big money interests even if your statements on ideology were true.

Once again, you make a claim to my argument that is not factually accurate..

I simply point out that working with Big Money does not mean they are the same people..

YOUR claim is that they are both part of the same group..

This is factually NOT accurate...

I can't dumb it down any more than that..

It is difficult to ignore other conclusions as you have not provided anther conclusion so it cannot be ignored if it is not there to ignore.

Sure I have..

Democrats and Republicans have specific ideologies that are exclusive to their own political outlook...

As the facts prove, Democrats ideology is anti-America, anti-cop and anti-freedom..

Republican is pro-America, pro-cop and pro-freedom..

That they both use big money to achieve their only ideological ends is simply the nature of the beast..

But they are two distinct and separate ideologies..

Not ONE ideology controlled by a single ideological entity..

So you support small commenting commenters over big commenting commenters? :D

Yer wasting yer breath, DH...

These Democrats (NEN) condition themselves to simply ignore ANYTHING that violates the their ideology...

It's like Perry's Planet (Star Trek) where the locals have simply ignored ANYTHING that disrupts their idyllic viewpoint that they literally DO NOT SEE what is right in front of their faces...

The Deathocrats and Republikillers taking big money is a fact and it is a logical conclusion based on that fact that they work for the big money interests because the big money interests would not give them the money if it didn't produce a return.

Yes, it IS a logical conclusion.. One of MANY logical conclusions..

You ignore other possibilities because they are not compatible with your agenda..

So it does provide proof that they are giving something in return or the money would not be offered.

Again, yes.. Those big money interests ARE getting a return on their investement..

But that doesn't mean they are the same people with the same ideology..

Big Money is a thing... It's goal can be varied and different, just as the people who wield the big money are varied and different..

The claim that it's all one vast big conspiracy by some single entity??

That's tin-foil hat territory, Don...

“The rise in crime can be directly tied to the adoption of cashless bail and other radical, soft-on-crime policies implemented under George Soros-funded, Democratic DAs across the country," Rep. Jim Banks, chairman of the Republican Study Committee, told the Washington Examiner in a statement. "This began in 2020, when Democratic state and local officials, encouraged by then-presidential candidate Joe Biden, allowed lawless riots to fester nationwide without any consequences."

Banks, an Indiana Republican, added, "Right now, Americans feel less safe, and they can see, whether it’s violent crime in our communities or illegal immigration at the border, Democrats always put the bad guys ahead of law-abiding citizens."

And THAT is why Democrats will lose and lose BIG in November..

Because Democrats have ALWAYS been the PRO-CRIME PRO-CRIMINAL Party...

And the American people will make Democrats pay for that stance in November...

In a January press release, University of Missouri – St. Louis Professor Emeritus Richard Rosenfeld, a co-author of the CCJ study, said, “The elevated rates of homicide and serious assaults require an urgent response from elected leaders.”

“A year ago, we concluded our 2020 crime report by noting that with so many lives at stake, the time to act is now. That message is as vital today as it was then.”

It is not yet clear if a desire for action on crime will ultimately be one of the issues driving voters to the polls in November, but some Republicans appear to hope so.

The sitting president's party historically loses congressional seats in a midterm election, and the trend seems likely to hold this year due to Biden’s dropping approval ratings. Limited to the issue of crime, just 36% approve of Biden's job performance, according to a December ABC/Ipsos poll.

A rise of super-liberal local prosecutors also has Democrats on the defensive over crime. In Philadelphia, District Attorney Larry Krasner has been on the receiving end of torrents of criticism for a violent crime crisis in Pennsylvania's largest city. And in San Francisco, detractors of District Attorney Chesa Boudin say that rates of certain kinds of crime are up in the California city because he does not enforce the law aggressively enough.

It all adds up to weaknesses Republicans are already highlighting.

The *ONLY* way that Democrats can arrest the huge downward trend they are experiencing is to VERY publicly jettison the Progressive Wing and condemn that wing as completely and totally un-American..

Even then, Democrats will still lose bigtime in the coming mid-term, but that MIGHT give them some hope in 2024...

A VERY small hope...

Rising crime wave threatens Democrats’ hold on power in Congress

Rising crime in the months leading up to the November midterm elections, combined with President Joe Biden's low marks on public safety by voters, are threatening Democrats’ efforts to maintain their congressional majorities.

The murder rate in the United States rose 30% between 2019 and 2020, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. A Pew Research Center analysis of the data said the jump was the largest single-year increase since at least 1905.
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/rising-crime-wave-threatens-democrats-hold-on-power-in-congress

There is simply NO WAY possible that Democrats can fix the above problem in less than 9 months..

Ergo, Democrats don't have a chance in the midterms..

Bear,

When 80% to 90% of all comments are by one person it makes reading the others too much of a chore. It discourages other comments by others and makes reading the comments section a bore.

You have yet to explain how my comments prevent other people from commenting..

Until such time as you can do that, your claims are not factually accurate and are therefore, ignored..

This would in no way censor the expression of anyone's ideas, it would encourage a diversity of opinion and preserve the integrity of your comments section.

Such diversity and integrity of the comment section is already present..

It's funny how you claim that CENSORING or LIMITING comments is the way to promote diversity and integrity.. :D

Do you not comprehend the inherent illogic in your efforts???

"WE NEED MORE PEOPLE COMMENTING!! SO SHUT THAT GUY UP!!!"
-SF Bear

Do you not see the utter ridiculousness of your claim?? :D

If you want to comment.. COMMENT.. NO ONE is stopping you...

What *IS* likely stopping you is that you have NO FACTS to counter the facts presented..

And THAT, my friend is your problem..

If the facts don't support your beliefs...

Maybe you have the wrong beliefs..

Did THAT ever occur to you???

DH,

Just check the campaign finance reports of any Deathocrat or Republikiller over the last several decades and it will show that they take big money.

Democrats and Republicans taking big money ONLY proves that Democrats and Republicans take big money..

It is not proof of anything beyond that..

You are just claiming that I do not have facts and not disputing the facts I have provided. You are just claiming they are not facts which is not true.

Your problem is you claim your facts say something that they, factually, do not say...

Therefore your claims are not factually relevant..

CW - I urge you to do something about the Monopolization of your comments section by one individual. When 80% to 90% of all comments are by one person it makes reading the others too much of a chore. It discourages other comments by others and makes reading the comments section a bore. This is not the result you wanted. The fix is easy just place a limit on the number of comments any one individual can place, say five comments per article. This would in no way censor the expression of anyone's ideas, it would encourage a diversity of opinion and preserve the integrity of your comments section. Please consider this action.

The Freedom Convoy of truckers left Vancouver for Ottawa on Jan. 23 to protest the federal government’s vaccine mandates for cross-border truckers and is calling for an end to coronavirus restrictions.
No. The Facts are that both work for the same people, the big money interests, and the big money interests win no matter if the Deathocrats or Republikillers win.

Nope.. There are no facts to prove this is the case...

But hay.. I'm a mensch...

Prove me wrong.. Simply bring facts of yer own.. :D

Until you can prove that they both do not work for the big money interests you have no facts to support a claim of either side losing.

That's not how it works, Don.. You can't prove a negative..

You make the claim that they are both working for the same people and same goals..

You must provide the facts to support the claim..

Otherwise, it's simply nothing but an unsubstantiated claim..

Unlike MY claims which always have factual support..

That is why you are NOT superior and are just as pitiful as those buying into the other half of the Big Lie.

Agree to disagree.. :D

Canadian truckers shut down busiest border crossing in North America, back up Detroit roads

One business leader said the delays could lead to supply chain problems

The busiest border crossing in North America was shut down as the Canadian truckers protesting their country's vaccine mandates made it to the Detroit-Windsor border, causing traffic on the highway to Detroit.

"It doesn’t make sense as they shouldn’t be blocking the borders or the roads," Canadian truck driver Nav Aulch told Click on Detroit.

Traffic began building on I-75 and the Ambassador Bridge around 3 p.m. Monday. Detroit officials said the Ambassador Bridge was closed at about 8 p.m., leaving thousands of truckers left stranded on Detroit roads, according to Fox 2 Detroit.

I mean, Democrats supported twenty two years (collectively) of Democrat AntiFa and BLM terrorists attacking hundreds of government buildings all over the country, trying to burn down police stations with PEOPLE STILL INSIDE!!!

Shirley, ya'all can't have ANY problem with protesters simply causing traffic jams...

Yea, Democrats are going to do fine in November.. Nothing to worry about, people.. Just keep doing what yer doing.. :D

Democrats Are Facing an Uphill Battle

With the midterm elections on the horizon, the party is alienating its base and losing public confidence.

Democrats are in retreat as they head into this election year. In a stark display of the party’s lack of confidence in its prospects in November’s midterms, 29 House Democrats have announced that they won’t be running for reelection. Given the party’s razor-thin majorities, Joe Biden’s sinking popularity, and the fact that the party of the sitting president almost always suffers losses in midterm elections, it looks as though the Democrats are going to get eviscerated if they don’t quickly change course.

Some prominent lawmakers, like Senator Bernie Sanders, have publicly called for a change in strategy, saying that the Democratic Party has “turned its back on the working class.” But the Biden administration remains deeply in denial about its failures, which range from the death of the Democrats’ signature Build Back Better plan to their doomed year-long push for federal voting rights legislation. The pandemic, which Biden promised to manage—his core campaign promise—has spiraled even further out of control. The number of Covid cases has reached record highs under his watch, soaring into the hundreds of thousands. Hospitals are overwhelmed, and schools are still in crisis.

I mean, honestly.. Given all the facts and all, Democrats could not have messed up more if they had tried...

The number of Covid cases has reached record highs under his watch, soaring into the hundreds of thousands. Hospitals are overwhelmed, and schools are still in crisis.

The scientific and medical establishment’s uncritical support of masks and other dubious policies is just the latest manifestation of its lack of independence from political imperatives. After several years of finding themselves at the receiving end of rhetorical assaults from rising Right-wing populists, the experts seized on the pandemic as an opportunity to reassert their own status and authority — and that of the liberal-technocratic politicians with whom they are largely aligned.

In the long run, however, the temporary political advantages they gained from this will be outweighed by the discrediting effect of their embrace of censorship, propaganda, and rule by decree. Making us all put masks on was the expert class’s mask-off moment — and what we can see now isn’t pretty.

As more and more FACTS come to light that PROVE beyond ANY doubt that COVID was simply a political agenda on the part of the Democrats and actively HURT Americans and our economy...

Americans will turn en masse away from the Democrat Party in November..

Democrats will be lucky to win the County Dog Catcher elections...

For instance, Miller compiles the astonishing claims made by Dr. Robert Redfield, who directed the CDC until just a year ago. In September 2020, Redfield described masks as “the most powerful public health tool we have”, claimed they offered “more Covid protection than vaccines would”, and stated: “If we [wore masks] for 6, 8, 10, 12 weeks, we’d bring this pandemic under control.” While they may not rule out some small effects of masking, Miller’s charts expose claims such as Redfield’s as delusional propaganda.

Which is EXACTLY what Democrats' COVID actions were...

In light of the earlier consensus, Miller’s findings in Unmasked should not be surprising. As we might have predicted based on a plethora of trials and meta-analyses published prior to the pandemic, mask mandates have had little to no demonstrable impact on curbing the spread of the virus. Miller reaches this conclusion by comparing areas with mask mandates of longer and shorter duration with each other and with areas that never imposed mandates at all. The results, he shows, simply do not support the standard adage that “masks save lives”.

For example, Los Angeles County, the most populous county in the US, imposed one of the earliest mask mandates in the United States, just after the CDC released its new guidance in early April 2020. By May, the county was requiring masks outdoors as well as indoors and enjoying 96-97% compliance. (It also imposed an array of other strict mitigation measures.) But it had case and mortality rates well above the national average throughout 2020 and 2021. LA currently ranks 3rd among California counties in its Covid death rate, faring worse than numerous counties with mask mandates of shorter duration and lower levels of compliance.

The facts are in..

Democrats who push mask mandates are morons...

A document published by the World Health Organisation in 2019 framed the results of these studies in no uncertain terms: “there was no evidence that face masks are effective in reducing transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza”. It’s unsurprising, then, that when the CDC briefed reporters on the pandemic in February of 2020, masking was not even mentioned among the NPIs that might be deployed. The UK government, too, stated early in 2020 that there was no evidence to support masking.

After the CDC and other agencies revised their guidance in April 2020, Dr. Anthony Fauci, by then a staunch advocate of masks, claimed that he and other officials had discouraged the public from obtaining masks to ensure there were adequate supplies for health care workers. Ever since, promoters of masking have cited Fauci’s “noble lie” to account for the abrupt reversal of prior guidance. But as Miller notes, it was not just during the early months of the pandemic that officials said masks were ineffective. They had said so for years, and Fauci had advised against masks not just in public statements but in private emails in early 2020.

Democrats were against masks before they were for masks..

Were masks a waste of time?

Experts advocated an intervention they once thought useless

For their part, critics of masking and other Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs) typically relied on principled assertions of freedom. This gave them little reason to examine the evidentiary basis of these policies, since they would have rejected them on moral grounds even if they worked. Only a few sceptical observers drilled into the data that could be found on sites such as the New York Times — even if the paper’s own reporters made little of it. The most prolific of these was Ian Miller, who over the past two years has published copious data-driven commentary on the track record of various Covid public health interventions.

Miller arrives time and again at the same conclusion: that the ad hoc pandemic mitigation policies rolled out since 2020 have systematically failed to achieve goals. Miller has now compiled one subset of his graphs and commentaries into a book titled Unmasked: The Global Failure of Covid Mask Mandates which focuses solely on the most ubiquitous pandemic containment strategy deployed by governments worldwide: masks.
https://unherd.com/2022/02/were-masks-a-waste-of-time/

Masks were a way to determining the amount of science-less control that government could assert over it's citizens..

We're found out now that this is the case..

From the most recent FTP...

"the three prosecutors investigating him in New York and Atlanta are all Black. Hard to figure out how this translates to "racist" in Donald Trump's mind...

obviously, it's racist because they're black and intelligent, and Trump is white and stupid.

"In reality, they're not after me, they're after you, and I just happen to be the person in the way."

I believe that's lie '5' on page 42 of the GQP 'Base Bullshit Nourishment' manual. One can almost see such a missive being mandatory within the Basic Equipment List (BEL) of Magaphites the right-wing over. A little red book to go along with the little red hats... All made in China.

I see the dispensing of pardons aren't as exclusive to the right-wing as they are received by right-wing swampsters...

Nice to see Michale back and still struggling with reality. Unassailable proof that the will to shill can remain apace with the will to remain immune to political truths.

Seems the nice apartment above the meth lab is being contaminated from below.

Supreme Court sides with GOP in Alabama election map case

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court put on hold a lower court ruling that Alabama must draw new congressional districts before the 2022 elections to increase Black voting power. The high court order boosts Republican chances to hold six of the state’s seven seats in the House of Representatives.

The court’s action, by a 5-4 vote announced Monday, means the upcoming elections will be conducted under a map drawn by Alabama’s Republican-controlled legislature that contains one majority-Black district, represented by a Black Democrat, in a state in which more than a quarter of the population is Black.

In a series of poorly timed, passive aggressive pressers, the White House and State Department spokespeople suggested reporters should just trust them more.

When Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) suggested Wednesday that the U.S. shouldn’t offer Ukraine membership in NATO and should focus more on China, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said he was “digesting Russian misinformation and parroting Russian talking points.”

Then Thursday, NPR’s Ayesha Rascoe asked Psaki if the U.S. could provide evidence supporting President Joe Biden’s statement that al-Qurayshi detonated a suicide bomb and killed civilians during the U.S. military raid “[b]ecause there may be people that are skeptical of the events.”

“Skeptical of the U.S. military’s assessment when they went and took out … the leader of ISIS? That they are not providing accurate information and ISIS is providing accurate information?” Psaki responded, not-so-subtly implying that questioning the administration’s readout of the raid means someone believes ISIS is a more truthful actor. Psaki then did go on to address Rascoe’s question, reiterating “that the individual who was the target detonated himself, killing his entire family,” though she didn’t offer any additional evidence beyond the administration’s repeated statements.

The White Helmets, a Syrian civil defense and humanitarian group, reported that they had recovered the bodies of six children and four women from the site of the raid.
Moments later at the State Department, spokesperson Ned Price sparred with the Associated Press’ Matthew Lee, who pressed Price to show evidence for the allegation that the Russians planned a false flag operation as a pretext for a Ukraine invasion. “If you doubt the credibility of the U.S. government … and want to find solace in information that the Russians are putting out, that’s for you to do,” Price responded at the end of a testy five-minute exchange.

Just six months ago, the administration called the bombing of 10 innocent people, including seven children, in Afghanistan a “righteous strike” before The New York Times proved otherwise. This is the same administration that confidently backed intelligence assessments indicating it would take over a year, maybe two, for Kabul to fall. And yet, Biden officials seem dumbfounded when journalists ask probing questions before filing to their editors an official summary or raw collected intelligence doled out by the administration.

Why Biden Should Pick a Black Woman Politician for the Supreme Court

From Earl Warren to Sandra Day O’Connor, elected officials have made strong Supreme Court justices. We don’t need another career jurist.
https://washingtonmonthly.com/2022/02/07/why-biden-should-pick-a-black-woman-politician-for-the-supreme-court/

Proof positive that the Democrat Party is still the Racist Party...

"Hay!! I got a great idea!! Let's choose the next SCOTUS Justice *SOLELY* on the basis of race!! What an awesome idea, eh!!!??? I mean, forget mundane things like COMPETENCE... EXPERIENCE.... MERIT... Merit is for morons.. RACE!! RACE!!! THAT's the best way to pick a SCOTUS Justice..."
-Democrat Party

What's so hilariously sad is THAT ^^^^ is not snark..

That is EXACTLY what Democrats are saying to each other...

RACE is the BEST selection criteria...

So what if it limits the selection to only *TWO PERCENT* of the available pool...

So what if it's going to be virtually statistically impossible to get the best qualified candidate..

Democrats want a token affirmative action black female on the SCOTUS..

So, that's ONLY who Democrats are looking at... :eyeroll:

What a COMPLETELY and UTTERLY moronic and racist stand to take..

When a politician, stymied by Congress, says he is going to go to the public and emphasize what he has accomplished, that's a pretty good sign he won't be getting anything more done. And of course, if Democrats lose control of either House or Senate in November, there will be no partisan Biden legislative agenda at all. He can make progress if Democrats are willing to work with Republicans, but not otherwise. To go it alone, Democrats will have to keep their majority in the House and actually win a majority of seats in the Senate.

But that's in the future. Now, in a brief moment on Sunday, Manchin issued the death pronouncement on what remains of the Biden agenda. There were bold, progressive dreams. There were promises of action. There were hopes of "transformation." And now they are dead, dead, dead.

Yunno.. I have to be honest and say that things have been tough the last few months.. I had a real foreboding sense over this last surgery..

So much so that I actually "got my affairs in order" as they say.. A letter to my wife in case things went sideways.. Arrangements on my accounts to be xferred in case the worse happens.. I was really expecting the worse..

Then there was (and is) the constant pain as I heal...

All in all, not fun...

But, what's made it bearable... Actually ENJOYABLE at times, is to see Democrats fall all over themselves to see WHO could be the MOST incompetent... It's a race to the bottom of the barrel and every Democrat is neck and neck...

It brings a smile to this tired old face that I can have a front seat row to the demise of the Democrat Party and see them fade away into Minority Party status for the next few decades.. Most likely the rest of my life.. :D... And, as an added bonus, I can lead Weigantia™ into the promised land of another 4 years of President Donald Trump... :D

I mean, how many WINS does a man get in life?? :D

It's enough to warm the cockles of ANY heart.. Even a heart that was knocking on death's door.. :D

"Senators should be aware that the Senate will, in fact, consider the Build Back Better Act, very early in the new year so that every member of this body has the opportunity to make their position known on the Senate floor, not just television," Schumer wrote, in a clear reference to Manchin's fondness for the cameras. "We will keep voting on it until we get something done."

It sounded tough, but in the end, Schumer backed down. New Year's came and went with no Senate vote on Build Back Better. There still hasn't been one, nor will there be one in the weeks and months ahead. As that became painfully clear, Schumer turned his attention to trying to use parliamentary maneuvers to push through a Democratic voting procedures bill and failed at that, too. The reason: Sorry to be a broken record, but Democrats do not control a majority of seats in the Senate.

BIDEN AGENDA DEAD, DEAD, DEAD.

What remains of President Joe Biden's agenda died quietly on Sunday, barely noticed by a media consumed with Ukraine, Joe Rogan, and why Stacey Abrams didn't wear a mask in a Twitter photo.

The precise moment of death came at 9:13 a.m. EST, when Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin appeared on CNN's State of the Union program. Host Jake Tapper asked about Build Back Better, the massive spending program often referred to as the "centerpiece" of the Biden agenda, which stalled in the Senate late last year after Manchin refused to sign on. (Fellow Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema also had reservations.)

"Build Back Better — is it dead?" asked Tapper. "Is there any opportunity for it to come back with your support?"

"Well, the Build Back Better, as it has been presented over, what, the last seven, eight, nine months — that bill no longer will exist, OK?" answered Manchin. For a moment, Manchin left the door open to considering "parts" of the bill but then delivered the fatal blow: Democrats could not rush the bill through the Senate, Manchin said, cutting corners to short-cut the committee process and keep Republicans from taking part.

"My biggest concern, and my biggest opposition — it did not go through the process," Manchin said. Republicans "should have at least the opportunity to have input. It should have gone through the committee. These are major changes. It is going to change society as we know it. And those changes, there should be a hearing. There should be a markup. And then you're going to have a better product, whether your friends on the other side vote for it or not. But they have to have input."

That was it. Democrats do not control a majority of seats in the Senate. The only way they hoped to get Build Back Better through a 50-50 Senate was to bypass what is called "regular order" and push it forward without any GOP input. Once Manchin did not agree to that, Build Back Better was doomed.

And, since it's always nice to hear from Jonathan Turley... :D

GoFundMe's left-wing roadblock – Canada truckers not the first cause targeted by crowdfunding site

GoFundMe can clearly redefine itself as a progressive company

GoFundMe's suspension of millions to support protesting truckers in Canada shocked many, particularly when the company initially announced its intention to distribute the money to other charities.

It was less of a surprise for those of us who have criticized the company for years over its use of the platform to target and block funds for conservative and libertarian causes. Indeed, the company has revised an old practice known as the "Nag's Head light" in luring the unsuspecting into what has become a liberal lockbox on funds.

In the Carolinas, locals would sometimes tie a lantern under the head of a horse to lure ships to their doom.

Thinking the light was a ship in deep water, the ships would unwittingly sail into the shore rocks, where they would be stripped of their cargo. That is how the resort town Nag's Head, North Carolina, got its name.

Stateside, mask etiquette continues to dog politician. Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., who is running for reelection, posted photos of herself at indoor campaign events over the weekend. Though she appeared to be standing several feet from her audience, Slotkin, like Abrams, was the only person not wearing a mask in the photos. And, just like Abrams, Slotkin quickly received similar criticism.

New York Mayor Eric Adams, D, was recently pictured without a mask indoors, despite the statewide indoor mask mandate, days after vowing to keep mask mandates in place in New York's schools.

Both Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, D, and California Gov. Gavin Newsom, D, are facing criticism after being photographed at a recent NFL game at SoFi Stadium without face masks. In several photos posted to social media by former basketball star Earvin Magic Johnson, Garcetti, Newsom and their companions are all maskless

Rules are for thee... Rules are not for me..

And it's THIS elitist attitude that's going to drag down the Democrat Party and be one of the major reasons why they are totally massacred in November...

Two years into pandemic, politicians still getting tripped up over coronavirus restrictions

Two years into the pandemic, politicians are still getting tripped up over face masks, lockdowns and other restrictions intended to curb the spread of the coronavirus - sometimes rules that were put in place by the politicians themselves.

Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is at the center of the latest coronavirus-related firestorm, after she posted a photo of herself sitting with a group of elementary school students who were all masked; Abrams was not. The photos became a target for her Republican opponents and right-wing critics, who have called her a hypocrite (and worse), despite the fact that GOP politicians have similarly flouted mask mandates or actively sought to prevent protective measures from being implemented.

David Perdue, who is running in the Republican primary against Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, blasted both Abrams and Kemp in a statement, saying that "Abrams' hypocrisy knows no bounds" and that "Kemp has failed students and parents by allowing liberal school districts to force mask mandates upon them." He has vowed to end mandates if he is elected.

In a statement her campaign posted to Instagram, Abrams called the criticism a "pathetic, transparent and silly attack" that was "pitiful and predictable." The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Abrams was wearing a mask but removed it before she began to speak and for the photos. Abrams has since deleted her social media posts with the photo.

Reiner said that considering some of the organizations he listed often feuded or poorly communicated with each other, they would ideally be led by somebody with a sense of how they all worked together, even if that person wasn't an actual physician.

"Secretary Becerra has absolutely no experience. And it's not just that he's kept a low profile, it's been basically that he's been in the witness protection program. He's been completely absent. He was the wrong choice, and frankly, the administration really does suffer from having a lack of coordination now," he said.

Incompetent people pick incompetent people...

Yep... That's what the Democrat Party is all about...

And ya'all HONESTLY believe that things are looking UP for the Dim Party???

REALLY!!!???

Biden Cabinet member resigns after admitting to 'disrespectful' behavior toward colleagues

Science adviser Dr. Eric Lander apologized to staff for speaking to them in a 'disrespectful and demeaning way'

Dr. Eric Lander, a former member of Biden's Cabinet who served as director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), resigned Monday evening after an internal White House investigation found credible evidence he had spoken harshly and disrespectfully to colleagues in front of other colleagues.

@andygaus,

I think you were right last night when you said that what would really help would be a standalone bill addressing prescription drug prices.

Then why not make a standalone bill for it?? Why not make a standalone bill for ALL of it.. I mean, you Democrats claim that Americans LOVE all this crap..

PROVE IT... Make a standalone bill for ALL of it..

Democrats won't because ya'all Democrats KNOW it's pure bupkis...

Democrats won't put any of this in stand alone form because Democrats KNOW they will lose...

And lose...

And lose...

And lose...

As you've mentioned before, when there's an omnibus bill, the media only report that it will cost trillions and say nothing about what's in it. If there was a standalone prescription drug price bill, even the sketchiest media would have to report what the issue was, and every Republican would have to put themselves on the line as wanting Big Pharma to make top dollar off the taxpayers and the consumers directly.

Then why won't Democrats do it??

Because the hysterical Left owns the Democrat Party right now..

And the hysterical Left wants it all or wants to see the country burn...

There is no compromise with the Hysterical (Progressive) Left.. They want it all or they want it burned to the ground..

That's your today's Democrat Party, ag... Enjoy...

I know I will enjoy.. Enjoy seeing the Democrat Party run into the ground by their own members and reduced to Minority Party for at least a couple decades..

Yea.. I am going to enjoy that a lot...

@cad,

This is what I've been saying forever, CW.

That is what you have been HOPING forever, you mean, cad..

And let's face reality here.. The chances of ALL that happening ALL to the degree that Democrats MUST have in order to even make a DECENT showing in the mid-terms where, AT BEST, the keep the status quo???

A virtual impossibility...

Blow smoke up yer ass all ya want...

Facts are facts... Even the new year brought just MORE acceleration to to Democrats demise...

Yer toast here in Weigantia™ and Democrats are toast in November.. :D

There's a certain symmetry to it.. :D

We don't know where we'll be in the coming months and while conventional wisdom says the Dems should lose Congress these are anything but conventional times.

Everyone knows EXACTLY where Democrats will be in the coming months...

There is no turnaround. There has been no reset... No reboot.. Everything is still going bad bad bad for Democrats..

These are the established facts..

These are established facts that EVERYONE here acknowledges and accepts as facts...

How do we know this??

Because, according to your own Democrats..

Silence gives assent..

And, since ya'all are completely silent on all the facts I lay out...

Then the ONLY logical and rational conclusion is that ya'all concede the facts..

This is not MY point, cad.. It's ya'all's..

Ya'all established at Charlottesville under President Trump that "Silence gives assent"

Hell, it was on placards at Democrat BLM and AntiFa 22 years (collectively) of riots and attacks on hundreds of government buildings all over the country...

SILENCE GIVES ASSENT

Ergo, by ya'all's OWN rules...

Ya'all agree with everything I am posting.. :D

I accept ya'all's concession.. :D

I think you were right last night when you said that what would really help would be a standalone bill addressing prescription drug prices. That might have more impact than an omnibus Build Back Better bill.

This is what I've been saying forever, CW.

We don't know where we'll be in the coming months and while conventional wisdom says the Dems should lose Congress these are anything but conventional times.

"We are not safe anymore.” Yes, that is precisely the essence of what more and more of us are feeling in America today. Part of the concern is driven by the rising crime that infects our neighborhoods and businesses, but part is driven as well by the disturbing indifference of some of those in power who are charged with protecting the citizenry. There is an unsettling sense that nothing will be done about it.

When bail is ridiculously reduced or eliminated, we are not safe anymore. When dangerous prisoners are prematurely released, we are not safe anymore. When shoplifting crimes are absolved, we are not safe anymore. When people minding their own business are punched on the street or shoved in front of a subway train, we are not safe anymore. When police budgets are foolishly stripped away, we are not safe anymore.

When all police officers are relentlessly demonized for the sins of a few, they become targets of feeble minds who interpret the anti-cop rhetoric as permission to assault. In just the past month, 46 officers across the country were shot or killed. Widows are being minted at a record pace.

When Americans do not feel safe, when they lose faith that the government will protect them, they buy guns. In 2021, more than 5 million people bought a gun for the first time, and 8.4 million did so in 2020, according to annual surveys of retailers. This telling trend should shame our politicians — but it won’t.

Every problem with this massive explosion of violent crime can be laid at the feet of the Democrat Party...

Democrats OWN every aspect of this..

From their DEFUND POLICE policies to their criminal rights over victim rights policies to their demonizing of ALL cops ALL over the country..

Democrats OWN it all..

Of course, the few cops that Democrats can USE to further their agenda... The few cops that Democrats can get to throw the entire career field of LEOs under the bus..

THOSE cops get a day or so of consideration.. Then THOSE cops are also relegated to DEMONIZE and DEMORALIZE status..

And ya'all HONESTLY believe that Democrats have a chance in November???

REALLY!!!?????

Shirley... you jest.... :D

It took a cop's widow to sum it up perfectly: 'We are not safe anymore'

Dominique Luzuriaga Rivera, a widow at 22, stood at the ambo in St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Jan. 28 and delivered, through lágrimas de pena, a piercing eulogy for her young husband, Jason, an NYPD officer killed while doing his job.

“The system continues to fail us,” she said, her tone now different, more determined. And then the uppercut: “We are not safe anymore.”

Dominique Rivera became, in a moment, every normal American and in 11 words she expressed the growing apprehension of a nation that has watched crime explode in frequency and seriousness — often captured on video and waved in front of us as if to reinforce a feeling of helplessness.

No...

Democrats' mid term chances are NOT improving..

Allow me to relay the facts as to why...

First off, the 6 Jan kangaroo court is completely toothless... It's basically the Russia Collusion Delusion revisited..

And we all now how well THAT complete waste of time worked out for Democrats...

So, 6 Jan is a joke that will never come to anything..

Next up, Ukraine... Biden and the Democrats are hip deep in Ukraine in a very VERY bad way...

Once Russia tries to invade, a whole lot of Ukraine bad is coming out of it... And Democrats will be awash in so much bad, it's going to be (for me) hilarious.. :D

Finally, Democrats are NEVER going to be able to shake the DEFUND, DEMORALIZE, DEMONIZE THE POLICEM policies..

Even as Biden and some Democrats try to turn the corner from the DEFUND mess, the progressive part of the Democrat Party is STILL going to make sure that ALL of America knows that the Democrat Party is STILL the HATE COPS Party..

My colleagues keep telling us to wait.

They keep telling us defunding the police and investing in communities won’t work.

Well their policies keep ending up with police murdering Black people.

Enough patronizing. Listen to the movements that are telling you how to save lives.
-Cori Bush

But Bush isn't alone among Democrats in backing the "defund" movement, though her position is in the minority.

New York Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman, Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar and Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley, among others, have all previously been vocal advocates of defunding the police.

Look, I get it..

Ya'all want to hang on to ANY lifeline you can fantasize about Democrats not getting TOTALLY annihilated in the upcoming Mid Terms...

But ya'all REALLY need to face the facts and face reality...

Democrats are going to lose.. and lose.. and lose...

And come November, Democrats are going to be relegated to Minority Party in Congress for the next decade at least..

This isn't *MY* prediction..

This is the prediction of Democrats..

Time ta face reality, people.. :D
