Best politician: Nancy Pelosi

Worst politician: GosarGohmertGaetzJordanGreene

Most defining political moment: passage of the Georgia
law that lets the legislature throw out the popular vote

Turncoat of the year: Do we have to ask?

Most boring: Mitch McConnell

Most charismatic: Pete Buttigieg

Bummest rap: Kamala Harris's old-fashioned headphones (since earbuds are a security risk)

Fairest rap: Biden's Afghanistan exit

Best comeback: COVID-19 (best job of coming back, not best thing that came back)

Best photo op: Bernie Sanders warmly dressed at the inauguration

Worst lie: Do we have to ask?

Capitalist of the year: Elon Musk

Honorable mention: Chris Wallace, Liz Cheney

Person of the year: Joe Manchin, for all the wrong reasons

there are already lots of other rhymes for kleenex,
it just takes a little creativity, like some folks have never seen sex,
they just sit there blowing gas and taking bean-o for that bean-x
prob'ly eatin' too much ham and green eggs
cryin' over their old teen ex
living back in their hackensacks and teanecks,
like a mouse hiding from a T-rex,
i could go on but who knows where we would be next,
we all refugees and rejects.

Enough already: "Latinx." It is not much used or favored by the people in question, and the only good thing about it is that now we have a rhyme for Kleenex.

No question about worst photo op: Thomas Massie (R-KY)'s family portrait with everybody holding guns.

Most stagnant thinker: Madison Cawthorn's description of women as "earthen vessels," apparently unaware that he himself is a chamber pot.

Biggest winner: authoritarianism
Biggest loser: democracy
