Kick these Repugs always disappear from the conversation the moment you point out any kind of reality that they cannot refute. It's probably not worth yer time to bat Michale down.

Wow Michale ur a thilly wabbit tonight! Obama kept fatalities to a minimum because he took being President
seriously. 12K died and Trump is at 100K and rising. So, whataboutism doesn't excuse fake-President Trump.

Don't hate 'Murica but I hate the Derangement of Trumptards like you. You'll be gone off this site 11/5

Biden says to look at his record on race??

OK, let's do that...

Okay, but flooding the board with Biden quotes isn't the equivalent of "looking at his record," and you're still an ignorant member of the Trump cult whining that Biden is a racist. Bless your heart!

That is a lie...

A Trump swallower whining that a candidate is a liar... more of that "comedy gold."

There is Joe Biden's "record" on race...

Except you didn't post a single thing about Joe Biden's record on race... so there's genuinely not a single thing about Joe Biden's record to defend.

You're just another in a long line of useful idiots playing the race card and encouraging black people to stay home and not vote... which is definitely not in anyone's best interest to be disenfranchised out of their right to choose their leaders.

Trump has never hidden his strategy for defeating Biden — or whoever else the Democratic Party might have nominated to be his 2020 opponent. In conjunction with voter intimidation, voter suppression, vote theft, outright lying, and inviting foreign interference, Trump and his agents of chaos will launch a sophisticated disinformation and psychological operations campaign against the American people. This strategy will consist in part of slurring Joe Biden as a racist, a traitor and a rapist, and being a corrupt "professional politician". In essence, Trump and his strategists will project all the president's worst qualities onto Biden.

Mind, not read.

Now you're talking, John! Thank you so much for this article. This author exactly nails what I was trying to say in my post:

To watch Trump defenders attack Biden for one clumsy remark — when they themselves are part of a white supremacist, neo-fascist regime — would be comedy gold if the stakes were not in fact so high. ~ Chauncey DeVega

^^^ This! ^^^

At this point, should it surprise anyone that an uneducated white worshiper of Donald Trump would presume to speak for any/all black people and declare they're offended by Joe Biden? *shakes head* It sure as hell didn't surprise me, and that's what I was trying to say in my comment at [25]. This author said it way better, John.

So, Michale, are you saying that the president does have some plan for healthcare insurance in case he wins the Supreme Court case, or even if he loses?

I thought that the Trump administration is in court trying to upend Obamacare?

Odumbocare is collapsing under the weight of it's own crappiness and Un-Constitutionality...

It wouldn't be a problem if Trump had some sort of system identified and in place to replace Obamacare with something better but, that is not the case.

Yea, I know.. That's the Trump/America haters claim.. But it is not backed up by any facts..

But ANYTHING is better than TrainWreckCare... Even returning to the status quo that existed BEFORE TrainWreckCare....

The mandate has been ruled unconstitutional just as I predicted it would.... TrainWreckCare requires the mandate to survive...

Odumbo promised the American people a super-charged Mustang...

He delivered an Edsel....

It's really that simple..

Ah, Michale is back with his piggyback blog to
remind us that 40% of Americans live in a feverswamp alternative reality. I call it piggyback blog it appears that you pay CW to provide you with a forum the comments section.

Of course, you have NO facts to counter what's been posted so you stoop to insulting me AND CW....

I accept your concession...

Or would you prefer to actually man up and address the facts???

Liz,

Is it true that, in the middle of a pandemic - or, more accurately, at the beginning stages of a pandemic - President Trump is fighting to take away health insurance from millions of Americans?

No, it is not factually accurate..

Biden says to look at his record on race??

OK, let's do that...

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”
-Joe Biden talking about Barack Obama in 2007

Joe Biden also claimed that the NAACP supported his candidacy every time he ran for President.

That is a lie...

“We want to clarify that the NAACP is a nonpartisan organization and does not endorse candidates for political office at any level.”
-NAACP President Derrick Johnson

“Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”
-Joe Biden, Aug 2019

“You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.”
-Joe Biden, 2006

“Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle, the jungle being a racial jungle with tensions having built so high that it is going to explode at some point.”
-Joe Biden commenting on desegration policies in 1977

“Unless we do something about that cadre of young people — tens of thousands of them, born out of wedlock, without parents, without supervision, without any structure, without any conscience developing ... because they literally have not been socialized ... A portion of them will become the predators 15 years from now, and ... we have predators on our streets that society has in fact, in part because of its neglect, created… We don’t very well know how to rehabilitate them at that point. That’s the sad truth. You’re looking at the fella who is one of the primary architects of the sentencing commission.”
-Joe Biden talking about black youth "predators" in 1993

“I think the Democratic Party could stand a liberal George Wallace — someone who’s not afraid to stand up and offend people, someone who wouldn’t pander but would say what the American people know in their gut is right. Sometimes even George Wallace is right about some things.”
-Joe Biden talking about racist George Wallace in 1981

“I was honored to work with him, privileged to serve with him, proud to call him my friend.”
-Joe Biden giving a eulogy on Strom Thrumond in 2003

“He was a friend, he was a mentor and he was a guide.”
-Joe Biden delivering ANOTHER eulogy for ANOTHER racist, Former Exalted KKK Cyclops Robert Byrd

“Even in the days when I got there, the Democratic Party still had seven or eight old-fashioned Democratic segregationists. You’d get up and you’d argue like the devil with them. Then you’d go down and have lunch or dinner together.”
-Joe Biden bragging about working with ANOTHER racist in 2019

There is Joe Biden's "record" on race...

Let's see any of ya'all defend it....

remind us that 40% of Americans live in a feverswamp alternative reality. I call it piggyback blog it appears that you pay CW to provide you with a forum the comments section. Good deal - I hope Don Harris is paying too.

Kick & God (where ya been, Big Guy? We needed you back in 2016!) got it right:

You didn't post any facts, rube. You usually don't. If you think Biden pissed off a single black American and/or just lost the election, that's an opinion/prediction, not a FACT.

And top policy officials on the Biden campaign are preparing for a fall economic debate that might look very different than the one predicted at the start of the pandemic in March. “They are very much aware of this,” said an informal adviser.

Furman’s case begins with the premise that the 2020 pandemic-triggered economic collapse is categorically different than the Great Depression or the Great Recession, which both had slow, grinding recoveries.

Instead, he believes, the way to think about the current economic drop-off, at least in the first two phases, is more like what happens to a thriving economy during and after a natural disaster: a quick and steep decline in economic activity followed by a quick and steep rebound.

The Covid-19 recession started with a sudden shuttering of many businesses, a nationwide decline in consumption and massive increase in unemployment. But starting around April 15, when economic reopening started to spread but the overall numbers still looked grim, Furman noticed some data that pointed to the kind of recovery that economists often see after a hurricane or industry wide catastrophe like the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Consumption and hiring started to tick up “in gross terms, not in net terms,” Furman said, describing the phenomenon as a “partial rebound.” The bounce back “can be very very fast, because people go back to their original job, they get called back from furlough, you put the lights back on in your business. Given how many people were furloughed and how many businesses were closed you can get a big jump out of that. It will look like a V.”

Furman’s argument is not that different from the one made by White House economic advisers and Trump, who have predicted an explosive third quarter, and senior adviser Jared Kushner, who said in late April that "the hope is that by July the country's really rocking again." White House officials were thrilled to hear that some of their views have been endorsed by prominent Democrats.

For those Trump/America haters who are wishing for total economic collapse and millions of Americans dead???

Ya'all are going to be deeply disappointed..

This is the REALITY... Supported by FACTS...

Self-blinding to the facts and reality will do ya'all no good.. :D

Assuming I am still around to enjoy it, 4 Nov is going to be a fun FUN day for me.. :D

In early April, Jason Furman, a top economist in the Obama administration and now a professor at Harvard, was speaking via Zoom to a large bipartisan group of top officials from both parties. The economy had just been shut down, unemployment was spiking and some policymakers were predicting an era worse than the Great Depression. The economic carnage seemed likely to doom President Donald Trump’s chances at reelection.

Furman, tapped to give the opening presentation, looked into his screen of poorly lit boxes of frightened wonks and made a startling claim.

“We are about to see the best economic data we’ve seen in the history of this country,” he said.

The former Cabinet secretaries and Federal Reserve chairs in the Zoom boxes were confused, though some of the Republicans may have been newly relieved and some of the Democrats suddenly concerned.

“Everyone looked puzzled and thought I had misspoken,” Furman said in an interview. Instead of forecasting a prolonged Depression-level economic catastrophe, Furman laid out a detailed case for why the months preceding the November election could offer Trump the chance to brag — truthfully — about the most explosive monthly employment numbers and gross domestic product growth ever.

Since the Zoom call, Furman has been making the same case to anyone who will listen, especially the close-knit network of Democratic wonks who have traversed the Clinton and Obama administrations together, including top members of the Biden campaign.

Furman’s counterintuitive pitch has caused some Democrats, especially Obama alumni, around Washington to panic. “This is my big worry,” said a former Obama White House official who is still close to the former president. Asked about the level of concern among top party officials, he said, “It’s high — high, high, high, high.”

You people need to come to grips with the facts and reality...

Democrats simply have NO PATH to victory in November..

ESPECIALLY if Joe Biden is the best Dims can offer...

The president’s supporters are confident he will be rewarded by a public that is increasingly chafing at the restrictions as summer approaches, even if the polling continues to reflect high levels of popular anxiety about the coronavirus.

“Democrats forgot that polls were a snapshot of a specific moment. They went all-in on endless lockdowns because they believed it would be a political winner,” said conservative strategist Chris Barron. “Early on, when Americans were crippled with fear, Democrats looked smart."

“Now, every single opinion poll shows the momentum turning against them,” he continued. “President Trump smartly listened to the medical experts but balanced that with an understanding of the economic realities for working Americans. Come November, if Democrats allow this to be a referendum on endless lockdowns, Trump will win in a landslide.”

Trump wins the lockdown wars

President Trump has won the lockdown wars as coronavirus-related restrictions on businesses are eased across the country, so far with few signs of dire health consequences for the population.

Just weeks ago, the question was whether to reopen, with the first states to press ahead accused of engaging in human sacrifice and killing their residents to appease the “Trump death cult.” New York Times columnist Paul Krugman asked, “How many will die for the Dow?” as recently as Thursday.

Now, the debate is primarily over how quickly and to what extent reopening should take place, with the stragglers mainly blue states. Anthony Fauci, considered by many the public face of stay-at-home policies, now says the country can't stay locked down forever. When Trump’s Easter target date was deemed unrealistic, Memorial Day weekend was floated as another possibility — and the grand opening is beginning.

And again... Democrats lose...

And President Trump and patriotic Americans win... :D

It happens again and again and again and again... :D

So, even if you are factually accurate about black Americans not being the largest constituency (which you are not),

You said "Biden totally dissed the Democrats' largest constituency." He didn't. The largest constituency of the Democrats is white Americans.

it does NOTHING to address the FACT that Joe Biden totally and unequivocally dis-respected all black Americans of ANY political persuasion....

If you're looking for someone to claim they can read the minds of "all black Americans," look no further than an ignorant white guy like yourself claiming that he can.

I accept your concession...

You cannot accept what wasn't given any more than you can read the minds of "black Americans."

I accept that you'll be voting for Joe Biden.

Democrats have consistently received the highest percentage, on average, of black Americans' vote..

Close to 90%...

No other constituency can claim such a majority..

You said black Americans were the Democrats' largest constituency; the fact is that non-Hispanic white Americans make up the largest constituency of Democrats by race. Nice try, though.

I get it..

Obviously, you don't get it.

You can't address the FACTS that Biden royally diss'ed black Americans, so you nibble at semantics..

You didn't post any facts, rube. You usually don't.

However, the tweets in question had to do with Trump spreading another conspiracy theory, that voting by mail somehow equated to rampant election fraud by Democrats. Spoiler alert: it doesn't.

Except a bi-partisan panel on the issue says it does..

Twitter's warning label was placed on Trump's tweets even though a Twitter spokesperson acknowledged to Fox News that Trump's tweet had not broken any of the platform's rules, and despite the fact that several experts have called mail-in balloting an invitation to widespread fraud, as Trump said in his tweets.

Indeed, bipartisan panels of experts, as well as journalists, have found that absentee balloting increases the risk of voter fraud.

"Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud," read the conclusion of a bipartisan 2005 report authored by the Commission on Federal Election Reform, which was chaired by former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker.

"Twitter 'fact-checkers' really suck," wrote Dan Bongino, a Fox News contributor. He linked to a 2012 article in The New York Times headlined, "Error and Fraud at Issue as Absentee Voting Rises." The article states that "votes cast by mail are less likely to be counted, more likely to be compromised and more likely to be contested than those cast in a voting booth, statistics show."

A Twitter thread Tuesday by White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany highlighted numerous recent stories documenting fraud concerns over mail-in ballots across the country, including a Fox News piece.

I mean, even if ya'all don't want to listen to the FACTS and the EXPERTS that prove ya'all wrong, just THINK about it.. Use some COMMON SENSE!!

How can a mail in ballot NOT be fraudulent???

The ONLY reason Democrats are pushing for a mail in election is because they KNOW they can cheat.. It's like their push for NO PICTURE ID agenda...

Anything that makes it easier for Democrats to cheat, they are all in for...

As to the subject of this commentary??

Fine.. You people want to police twitter??

By all means, do so..

Start with all the hate and bigotry and vile and disgusting twits who tweet against President Trump and the GOP..

In short, prove ya'all are serious about cleaning up twitter.. PROVE it's not just a political stunt ya'all dreamed up..

Police your OWN house first..

And THEN come talk to me about cleaning up President Trump's antics..

What's that???

{{{ccchhhiiirrrrpppppp}}}{{{ccchhhiiirrrppp}}}

Yea... That's what I figured...

Nuttin' but a political stunt..

Tara Reade is NOT going away...

Between Joe Biden's diss against black Americans and the rape criminal complaint still out there, Democrat leadership are DESPERATE to find someone... ANYONE... to replace Joe Biden...

And Bernie supporters are grinning happily saying, "we TOLD ya'all this would happen!!"...

Nothing like waking up in the morning and see the Democrat Party so utterly and thoroughly decimated and de-moralized.. :D

Friday, Biden’s campaign first attempted to clean up the mess by claiming that the remark was a joke. This was the line taken by Symone Sanders, a senior adviser to the Biden campaign who tweeted, “The comments made at the end of the Breakfast Club interview were in jest, but let’s be clear about what the VP was saying: he was making the distinction that he would put his record with the African American community up against Trump’s any day.” This balderdash quite literally fails the laugh test. President Trump’s pre-pandemic job creation initiatives and criminal justice reform have done more for blacks in three years than Joe Biden accomplished in half a century backstroking around the swamp.

After it became clear that the “just kidding” strategy wasn’t selling, Sanders simply refused to answer further questions. When NBC’s Chuck Todd, not exactly a purveyor of GOP talking points, tried to ask her a question about the issue she interrupted him thus: “Chuck, I’m not going to do this. Chuck, I’m not going to do this.” Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) was less reticent: “Joe Biden’s comments are the most arrogant and condescending thing I’ve heard in a very long time. I am offended but not surprised.” Nor was Michigan GOP Senate candidate John James who, like Sen. Scott, is black. Indeed, the latter was moved to explain what really motivates the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee:

The Democratic Party has taken the black vote for granted for decades, but on Friday former Vice President Joe Biden took this view to a new and very hurtful level.… Biden has shown clearly that he thinks he knows better than black people what is best for us, and that if we don’t support him we are denying our own racial identity and heritage. Worse, I don’t see Biden’s Democratic colleagues holding him accountable for his comments. Instead, I hear silence.… Biden’s views have been exposed and stand in stark contrast to President Trump, who visited Michigan Thursday and actually listened to the needs of black people from black people.

The blame cannot be FULLY put onto Joe Biden..

Democrats have been screwing over black Americans for decades now.. Compare and contrast that to the VERY REAL progress President Trump and the GOP has made in helping black Americans pre-Pandemic...

Joe Biden simply stated out loud what Democrats have been muttering for decades..

If you don't vote Democrat, you ain't really black..

Nice attitude for the Democrats. They are all take take take from black Americans and haven't done squat for black Americans...

Biden Reelected Trump Last Friday
The former VP’s patronizing remark was no jest and it was fatal to his campaign.

Usually, it’s necessary to wait until after a presidential election is over before it becomes possible to identify the point at which the dynamics of the contest began to favor the eventual winner. Occasionally, however, the turning point is blindingly obvious. President Reagan’s 1984 reelection, for example, was all but assured when Walter Mondale included a promise to raise taxes in his speech accepting the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination. Likewise, former Vice President Joe Biden almost certainly handed the 2020 election to President Trump last Friday when he told an African-American interviewer, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
https://spectator.org/biden-reelected-trump-last-friday/

I correctly predicted that Hillary's deplorable gaffe would lose her the election..

Now I am predicting that Biden's "You ain't black" gaffe will be Biden's downfall...

I just won a bet with myself..

I bet myself that no one here of any import would mention how Joe Biden just lost the General Election and handed the win to President Donald Trump on a silver platter...

Just like Romney with his 47% gaffe and Hillary with her deplorables gaffe, Joe Biden's Waterloo was telling black Americans that if they are wondering who to vote for, then they ain't really black...

Way ta go, Joe.. You just pissed off every black American and insured that President Trump will win re-election by a huge landslide..

Because it's a stone cold fact that Democrats can't win anything without the black vote..

By condescending and talking down to black Americans, Biden totally dissed the Democrats' largest constituency...

You people better get used to saying President Trump for another 4 years...

What do they mean she "doesn't even exist"!? Lots of people are saying it, John! Trump had her name completely scrubbed from the Internet, and the fact they can't find her mentioned anywhere is all the more proof that she exists!

It’s a very suspicious thing, and I hope somebody gets to the bottom of it. It'll be a very good thing.

Question: I don't use insulin. Should I be? Huh? I never thought about it. But I know a lot of people are very badly affected, right?

I was puzzled by Kick's series of tweets about 'Justice for Carolyn', and found this article in Inquisitr about this latest attempt to spoof Trump. This quote the article more or less makes clear what's going on:

“I don’t care that Donald Trump didn’t really murder Carolyn Gombell,” tweeted that political analysis site Palmer Report. “I don’t care that Carolyn Gombell doesn’t even exist. I’m still demanding #JusticeForCarolyn because why the hell not? If Trump can demand investigations into imaginary murders, the rest of us can too!”

I imagine this won't go anywhere, because the president's opponents are honest enough to admit they're spreading slime to prove a point, not because they believe it, while the president's base has been told for years that anything negative about him is a lie propagated by the lying liberal media.

I remember reading your earlier piece on Twitter and the president, and agreeing with it, in theory. In theory, because I don't use Twitter and I never read the president's tweets - when they are quoted in reportage or commentary, I skip to what follows, knowing I'll end up learning what he said anyway but at least not hearing or reading that nasty, nasty voice again. (Just as I do on the radio - when I realize I'm about to hear him saying something on NPR, I switch to progressive rock or the like until I know the danger has passed.)

And here we are, with a grieving widower begging for justice, wondering whether this time will be different, when we know it won't. I love the fantasy of the Dems in the House shaming, or trying to shame, Twitter execs, but it won't work. To hope so is to hope that the national press is going to stop sending reporters to hear his speeches or his office's press conferences, or stop reporting his every statement on the front pages and top of the feeds.

At this point (and frankly, a hell of a lot earlier, like early 2016), we know everything he says is a lie, or should be treated as one until confirmed as truth by some other official with proven credibility. So nothing he says needs to be on the nation's conversational menu - only what he does: actual actions, actual deeds, actual legislation, regulation, nominations. Those are facts which must be reported. The rest, not just Twitter but all of it, should be ignored and buried by any media outlet that still wants people to believe it actually reports the truth.
