You can't comprehend that, by constantly responding to my comments, it's YOU that has the low self-esteem and peevish neediness.. :D

*laughs* Said the needy nerfherder begging for attention for whom self-awareness is nonexistent in the wee small wheelhouse of his tiny little universe of his so-called comments. Your comments!? Your comments? *laughs*

The vast majority of your claptrap doesn't qualify as "your comments"... as they are bullshit mountains of cut-and-paste dipshittery that you spam regularly from other websites and cut-and-paste liberally onto another man's forum.

Since you're desperately seeking someone to actually respond to "your comments," you'll first have to post some political ideas of you own that you didn't pilfer, steal, and nick-paste in your regular bombardment of this site with the nonstop bull-spammery that is easily ignored by scrolling.

*
* Remember in November :)

*

Yep.. You said the same thing about November of 2016...

Nope... but I did indeed say the EXACT same thing after the Kavanaugh hitjob in 2018. I guess you forgot because you ran away whining hysterically and were nowhere to be found in November.

Welcome to the present; while you are certainly free to continue wallowing like a pig in the cesspool that was 2016 with your ever-present denial of the reality you seem incapable of grasping, why don't you pull your head out of Trump's ass, open your eyes and try gazing into 2020.

Remind me again how THAT worked out for ya??

It worked out in a Blue Wave, a resultant two-count impeachment, and the abdication by Republican Senators to a Dick Tater.

Remember in November. :)

It’s a curse that I have had to carry for most of my life. I’ve cleaned more closets than Marie Kond?! :). “Straight-By-Choice” guys freak out when they discover that Devon and I are openly gay.

It’s sweet, but I understand it, if your only view of the “gay universe” has been campy fictional TV characters, Liberace, and your local news’ annual Gay Pride parade story showing the most flaming of queens in ass-less chaps, go-go boots, and a feathered boa — it’s a shock to find a person who disproves the argument you’ve convinced yourself to accept for why you can’t really be gay — “I am nothing like them!” We are both masculine, built, and fairly handsome (D much more so than me) men. It’s always fun to see how long it takes for people to grasp that when we say we are “partners”, we are more than just workout partners.

But back to the Trumpkin in the room...if he’s in the closet, I’m all for boarding that closet door permanently!

I could not help but notice, my dearest, that Mike sure does spend an inordinate amount of time constantly obsessing hysterically over your genitals... as archived on this forum in perpetuity. So much so that Mike either seriously wants it or is in desperate need for one of his own... possibly both. :)

President Trump was UNSUCCESSFULLY impeached.. In perpetuity..

Incorrect. Donald Trump has been impeached on two counts... in perpetuity. A vote to have no witnesses in his impeachment trial isn't quite yet a vote for acquittal; however, the miscarriage of justice has happened. The Senate has greenlit a "trial" with no witnesses, and no one with a pulse expected anything but an acquittal... but not today. Of course, no one ever had any doubt that the Senate wouldn't remove him; they're spineless and now complicit, and they shut it down.

Dumbocrats put forth, by their OWN standards, an illegitimate impeachment.. In perpetuity...

You remain demonstrably clueless. It's comical to watch.

Michale is going to gloat and gloat and gloat.. In perpetuity.. :D

So what? You would anyway. Your low self-esteem requires it; your peevish neediness is ever and always on full display.

Sucks to be ya'all.. In perpetuity... :D

Au contraire. What you have just witnessed is akin to the hitjob that happened when Republicans ramrodded Justice Kavanaugh onto the Supreme Court before the 2018 midterms. Welcome to the hitjob of 2020.

Remember in November :)

Speaking of Bernie Sanders...

Is Bernie Sanders the Next George McGovern—or the Next Donald Trump?

Two political insurgents. Two very different results. Which fate awaits Sanders?
https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2020/01/is-bernie-sanders-the-next-george-mcgovern-or-the-next-donald-trump/

Considering the popularity of President Trump amongst REAL patriotic American and all the winds that President Trump has at his back???

Bernie is likely going to be a McGovern...

If I recall, CW is a Bernie Supporter..

DNC members discuss rules change to stop Sanders at convention
The talks reveal rising anxiety over the Vermont senator's momentum on the eve of voting.
https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/31/dnc-superdelegates-110083

One has to wonder if THIS Democrat Party malfeasance will result in any condemnation beyond a milquetoast, then forgotten, MDDOTW award...

Hope springs eternal.. :D

I said it earlier, Trump’s attorneys might have tried their last case as they will face being disbarred for how they conducted their defense.

BBBWWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Keep dreaming sunshine. :D

It's official..

Senators Reject Witnesses in Trump Impeachment Trial
Republican majority, by a 51-49 vote, keeps new evidence from being introduced

Ya'all lost..

News flash: Trump’s entire legal team disbarred today! Once it became clear that you can pass judgement in a trial without witnesses being called

Witnesses WERE called... Democrats dropped the ball and the witnesses couldn't make their case..

the votes to disbar were unanimous.

And then you woke up and found out all ya had was yer dick in your hand.. :D

Kick,

So, speaking of the aforementioned multiple counsel desperately attempting to cover their own illegal/unethical conduct -- their asses -- as well as Trump's, of particular interest regarding same:

Letter dated January 21, 2019 from House Impeachment Managers to White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, notifying him that he is a material witness and must disclose relevant facts:

https://tinyurl.com/t2uld5a

Interesting reading.

INTERESTING is an understatement!

I said it earlier, Trump’s attorneys might have tried their last case as they will face being disbarred for how they conducted their defense.

Kick,

It sounds like some Republican Senators are saying that clearly Trump did something wrong, but it wasn’t impeachable or enough to remove him from office.

Do they not realize that Trump is going to go after them as if they voted to impeach him? He is completely innocent he claims. That phone call was perfect...a perfect example of a US president extorting a foreign government to interfere in our elections by hurting the reputation of the President’s political opponent or risk losing foreign aid.

What will they say once all of the information showing Trump’s guilt finally gets released? How will they defend their willfully and intentionally turning a blind eye.

51 to 49 against witnesses... no surprise there.

Democrats could pull a Mitch McConnell and just walk out of the Senate and refuse to return, because there can be no vote to acquit if there are not enough Senators for a quorum...call it doing “ Merrick’s Mambo”. I know this would be damaging to the Democrats, but it would be fun to watch Trump fume because he cannot claim he’s been acquitted.

You reap what you sow.

Can I get an Amen!?

And can we talk about the argument that, somehow, the House - the body that is tasked with determining whether an offense is impeachable - passed Articles of Impeachment that the Senate is being told by Trump’s defense are not actually articles of impeachment?!?!

Oh, that issue is moot. Trump is impeached... in perpetuity. :)

News flash: Trump’s entire legal team disbarred today! Once it became clear that you can pass judgement in a trial without witnesses being called, the votes to disbar were unanimous.

You reap what you sow.

And can we talk about the argument that, somehow, the House - the body that is tasked with determining whether an offense is impeachable - passed Articles of Impeachment that the Senate is being told by Trump’s defense are not actually articles of impeachment?!?!

The Senate’s vote should be limited to ruling on whether Trump is guilty or innocent of the charges outlined in each of the articles. Not whether or not they believe the Articles of Impeachment are truly impeachable...THEY ARE....the very fact that they were sent to the Senate for them to conduct the trial proves that.

And the argument that the White House ruled that the Congressional subpoenas were not properly constructed and were therefore denied required Congress to seek judicial review is laughable. The White House does not have the authority to make such a ruling as to the validity of the subpoenas. THEY had 2 choices for how they had to respond: Either give Congress what it sought OR seek the court’s opinion as to the validity of the subpoenas. They did NEITHER, therefore the obstruction of Congress charge is warranted.

But remember, as long as Trump BELIEVES in his tiny little heart that every thing he does is in the “nation’s best interest” he is above the law....he is above impeachment...he’s KING! Trump’s defense team has pretty much made away every independent and undecided voter run in horror! Good job.

Russ

Where were we, my lovely? Oh right!

There's a reason for Trump and his counsel's cover-up and refusal to allow testimony: Many of them were directly involved in the shakedown, and government officials cannot use constitutional privileges to hide evidence of their illegal actions... the "crime/fraud exception" to executive privilege.

So Trump's impeachment counsel are insisting he holds "executive privilege" that Trump has never invoked, and meanwhile Trump has waived executive privilege in multiple Twitter rants... claimed... just ordering no one to testify or supply documents to 70+ requests for documents and multiple subpoenaes and forcing them into court, when meanwhile the Department of Justice is arguing in court that the House -- "We the People" -- have no standing in court and their only recourse is to impeach.

After the ruling in the McGahn case in the House's favor, Bolton agreed to testify, and if the Senate fails to do their job and is complicit in the cover-up by orchestrating the first impeachment trial ever in the history of our nation wherein witnesses would be blocked, the House should simply subpoena and depose John Bolton and anyone else who decides to come forward based on his newly obtained testimony... since there is no immunity from prosecution for them like the POTUS enjoys until he's out of office, and as demonstrated repeatedly, the Trump loyalty rolls only one way. In short: Lawyer up.

And while I do believe it would be infinitely ignorant of the Senate to be complicit in the cover-up while at the same time allowing the House to take back the sole control of the issue within their congressional chamber, I have little doubt that the facts will emerge one way or the other... they always do. :)

Misuse of Whistleblower Law Created Impeachment Farce

Who is the whistleblower, the man or woman who launched a thousand Schiffs?

Okay, bad joke. In any case, anyone with the slightest interest already knows who he or she is, although some pretend they don’t, like the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts and the very Adam Schiff.

Nevertheless his (let’s be at least that honest) identity is being hidden because that is allegedly required by the Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989. It’s unclear whether that is true.

But let’s be honest a second time. Congress (if it’s still awake) and legal scholars should look immediately into revising the Whistleblower Protection Act because it appears to have been turned on its head and used as a weapon for some of the most despicable behavior in American history. Something’s drastically wrong with its language that it could be exploited that way.
https://www.theepochtimes.com/misuse-of-whistleblower-law-created-impeachment-farce_3222948.html

Let's be perfectly factual and clear about the Whistle Blower law...

The law **ONLY** protects the blower from workplace retaliation..

It, in NO WAY, protects the blower from revelation or mitigates the blower's responsibility to back up his complaint with FACTS...

Once again, Dumbocrats are being moronic..

It's a thing with them, apparently..

It's High Time to End This Schiff Show

It's high time to end this impeachment farce once and for all.

For starters, the flimsy articles of impeachment that Democrats have brought forth aren't crimes, much less the "high crimes" required to remove a sitting president. That alone is sufficient grounds to end this charade that's chock full of presumptions and assumptions from partisans that the president may have done something wrong.

Now, add the fact that everyone in Washington knows that Democrats won't obtain the 2/3 vote required from the Republican-controlled Senate to oust President Donald Trump. This is especially true given that the transcript of his July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Zelenskiy shows no quid pro quo and no crimes committed.

Moreover, a witness with firsthand knowledge of the phone call in question, Zelenskiy, has stated there was "no pressure" and Trump did nothing wrong. Other top Ukrainian government officials confirmed this. That's what parties involved said. Now, let's look at the actions that took place in the aftermath of the call. U.S. military aid was timely delivered to Ukraine and no investigations were opened into Joe Biden or Hunter Biden.

Case closed.

"GAME OVER MAN!!!"

Democrats lost.. AS it was predicted they would...

Remember??

"This only ends ONE way??"

Ya'all remember that??

Maybe next time, ya'all will listen.. :D

United States Constitution, Article I, Section 8

Dead. On. Accurate... and good form!

Furthermore, it's fairly common knowledge and has been discussed multiple times already here in Weigantia that there are only -- only -- two things listed in the Constitution that are under the "sole purview" of any of the players in our co-equal branches of government, and those involve -- in their totality -- impeachment and impeachment:

United States Constitution, Article I

* Section 2, Clause 5
The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

* Section 3, Clause 6
The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments.

There are no other sole powers afforded to any of America's co-equal branches of government, and anyone telling you otherwise is full of propaganda bullspit that is regularly spoon-fed to those either unwilling and/or unable to read and/or comprehend the simple written words contained in our United States Constitution... or perhaps unable to retain it.

The Righties not only seem to believe that Americans are ignorant... they seem to be relying on it.

What goes in the blank, of course, is "Congress". The sole purview of of the president, according to the Constitution, is diddly-squat, aka pardons and the ability to "require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices".

How do you reconcile this claim with Obama's actions vis a vis the number one state sponsor of terrorism??

None of what you listed would be applicable to President Trump's dealings with Ukraine..

As I have already acknowledged the exceptions to the Sole Purview statement.. :D

Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi held a joint press conference where they said they would NOT accept a Senate acquittal and exoneration of President Trump..

They stated their intention to stamp their feet and hold their breath until the Senate did as the commanded..

No word yet if EMTs on scene will bother reviving the passed out morons..

DES MOINES, Iowa — He easily carried the state during the last general election. His hold on the Senate majority, though marginal, likely faces little to no danger here. He will easily wipe away a small band of little-known candidates mounting primary challenges against the longest of odds to deny him the GOP nomination.

So why was the president of the United States in Des Moines on a Thursday night when he still stands trial for impeachment in Washington? Because Donald Trump had a simple message for the Democrats lining up for a chance to take him on in November: As far as he’s concerned, Iowa belongs to him.

This has never been much in doubt, and the campaign described the red state event as an opportunity to flex its muscles. “This will be a good organizational workout,” Trump campaign Communications Director Tim Murtaugh told RealClearPolitics beforehand. As another presidential confidant explained, “This is about us, not the Dems.”

President Trump OWNS Iowa.. :D

And patriotic Iowanian Americans couldn't be happier.. :D

Actually, it is EXACTLY what DerDumbShit said — costing him any credibility and respect he might have had as a law professor and scholar.

Dersh is back-peddling furiously and claiming he didn't say what everyone heard him say.

I hope he got paid a lot to represent that disgusting sex offender scum...Not to mention he also represented Jeffrey Epstein, an equally repulsive individual!

Oh, my lovely, I see what you did there. *laughs* You rightly hit the nail square on it's ugly head, and in the instant issue, Dersh has a past and an ass to hide... that the "underwear" excuse just wasn't covering it. A woman came forward and reported she had sex with Dershowitz several times while she was a minor. Poor Dershowitz insists this never happened although does confess to getting a "massage":

I kept my underwear on during the massage. I don't like massages particularly.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GlK8dr6MP0

Dershowitz said that as long as the president believed it was in the country’s best interest for him to do whatever selfish thing he decides to do, then Trump cannot be impeached over it!

You'd be inventing hysterical bullshit too if you had to cover Trump's ample ass while at the same time trying to cover your own.

Bottom line: Dershowitz proved he’d go to any length to defend his clients — even at the cost of his own reputation and self-respect for making such ridiculous arguments!

Dersh is defending his own past... his own ass, and he's not alone. There are several counsel providing similar cover-up of their very own asses just as much as they're covering Trump's.

The facts will emerge. :)

It keeps getting better and better..

You got to admire the planning of the current crop of Trek planners..

The maneuvered things so that they could do whatever they want with Picard and Discovery without each other treading on the other's canon..

Great post.

Maybe Trump will do away with the Senate who's relinquished their co-equal decision-making responsibilities to the Executive Branch. Who needs 'em?

Thoughts to ponder. :)

Did my hearing fail me or did the president's counsel, at the end of today's proceedings say that there is a better case for impeachment against Biden than there is against Trump!?

"No" on the hearing part of your question; "yes" on the remainder... as Trump's counsel were full-tilt on the repetitive distracting bullshit in their fabrication regarding Joe Biden because they had zero legal defense of Donald Trump because he's guilty... and Republicans know this.

All the reverse engineering to create a distraction/farce is a necessary invention to cover Trump's ass, and Republicans know this. Biden was most assuredly carrying out the Obama administration's policy... bipartisan United States policy, and Republicans know this.

The Obama administration, Republican and Democratic Senators of the Senate Ukraine Caucus, and our global allies were pushing in unison for Ukraine to "press ahead with urgent reforms to the Prosecutor General's office and judiciary," and have I mentioned Republicans know this? Trump's counsel knows this and have chosen to reverse engineer their ass-covering lies.

Don't believe me? Read it from Rob Portman's website:

Portman, Durbin, Shaheen, and Senate Ukraine Caucus Reaffirm Commitment to Help Ukraine Take on Corruption

February 12, 2016 | Press Releases

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), co-chairs of the bipartisan Senate Ukraine Caucus, and Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on European Affairs spearheaded a letter expressing concern to Ukrainian President Poroshenko regarding the recent resignation of Minister of Economy Aivaras Abromavi?ius?, who has alleged that corruption remains a dire challenge within the Ukrainian political system. In the letter, Portman, Durbin, and Shaheen said they recognized the challenges facing the Ukrainian government two years after the Maidan brought positive change to Ukraine. They also reaffirmed their commitment to help President Poroshenko confront the duel threat posed by Russian aggression in Ukraine as well as entrenched corruption in the government and to create a transparent and democratic government. The letter was also signed by Senators Ron Johnson (R-WI), Chris Murphy (D-CT), Mark Kirk (R-IL), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), and Sherrod Brown (D-OH).

“We recognize ?that your governing coalition faces not only endemic corruption left from decades of mismanagement and cronyism, but also an illegal armed seizure of territory by Russia and its proxies,” the senators wrote. “Tackling such obstacles to reforms amidst a war and the loss of much of southeastern Ukraine’s economic productivity is a formidable challenge -- one which we remain committed to helping you overcome.”

Full text of the letter can be found below.

Dear President Poroshenko,

As members of the U.S. Senate Ukraine Caucus and strong supporters of your government, we write to express our concern regarding the recent resignation of Minister of Economy Aivaras Abromavi?ius? and his allegations of persistent corruption in the Ukrainian political system.

During the past year, Mr. Abromavi?ius and his team implemented tough but necessary economic reforms, worked to combat endemic corruption, and promoted more openness and transparency in government. He was known to many of us as a respected reformer and supporter of the Ukrainian cause. Minister Abromavi?ius?’s allegations raise concerns about the enormous challenges that remain in your efforts to reform the corrupt system you inherited.

We recognize ?that your governing coalition faces not only endemic corruption left from decades of mismanagement and cronyism, but also an illegal armed seizure of territory by Russia and its proxies. Tackling such obstacles to reforms amidst a war and the loss of much of southeastern Ukraine’s economic productivity is a formidable challenge -- one which we remain committed to helping you overcome.

Succeeding in these reforms will show Russian President Vladimir Putin that an independent, transparent, and democratic Ukraine can and will succeed. It also offers a stark alternative to the authoritarianism and oligarchic cronyism prevalent in Russia. As such, we respectfully ask that you address the serious concerns raised by Minister Abromavi?ius?. We similarly urge you to press ahead with urgent reforms to the Prosecutor General's office and judiciary. The unanimous adoption by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Basic Principles and Action Plan is a good step.

We very much appreciate your leadership and commitment to reform since the Ukrainian people demonstrated their resolve on the Maidan two years ago, and we look forward to continued cooperation in the future.

"A trial without the evidence, without witnesses and documents would render the president’s acquittal meaningless."
-Chuck Schumer

So, apparently, Schumer is saying that the House did not do ANYTHING.. NO witnesses.. NO documents..

So what did House Dumbocrats DO, exactly?? That Schumer would call their actions "meaningless"???

Pelosi argues Trump 'cannot be acquitted,' suggests defense team should be disbarred

If this is factually accurate, that explains why Nancy's House didn't call the witnesses they want..

Factually speaking though, this is simply Sore Luserism on the part of Pelosi and the Democrats..

The fact that they thought the GOP Senate would make their case for the Democrats??

The epitome of incompetence and stoopidity..

As I've clearly explained for 3 1/2 yrs, Trump's 'original sin' was winning the 2016 election that ALL the pundit and ALL the crystal-ball gazers told the Democratics that they couldn't possibly lose!

That put them into permanent PTSD shock, from which they have yet to (and never will) recover.

All the rest, from Russian collusion to Ukraine brzibery, is just rationalization born of desperation.

All this whining and crying about this not being a "fair" trial is so much bullshit..

Democrats got the trial that they themselves set up..

If they wanted to hear from Bolton et al, they should have called them when they controlled things in the House..

Did Democrats *HONESTLY* believe that the GOP Senate would make the Democrats' case for them!??

If they did, then they are stoopider than I thought.

And THAT says something...

THE RUBES PREVAIL!!!!

Just like in 2016, President Trump’s supporters see a president who is facing unprecedented attacks from the Washington establishment: Democrats, faux-Republicans, and the liberal media. Those establishment figures can’t help but express their disdain for their fellow countrymen — the “rubes” outside the Beltway. Every time they do, it’s a win for President Trump.

The “rubes” will rise up in 2020. “Rubes” like me will reward a president who is committed to economic growth and border security. “Promises made, promises kept” is not just a campaign slogan, but a roadmap to continued prosperity, with better jobs, higher wages, secure borders, improved education, and a stronger and more appreciated military. But, most of all, it is a roadmap for the next generation to continue leading the world.

The losers may be uniting, but neither President Trump nor Great America PAC are tired of winning. And we will win again in 2020 — because the country and the world need our agenda.

While many Americans were focused on Washington this week, I was paying special attention to Fort Bend County, Texas. What took place in that Houston suburb may reveal more about the 2020 election than the impeachment trial in the Senate does.

Fort Bend held a special runoff election to fill a vacant state House seat left open by the resignation of the Republican incumbent, who took a job with the University of Texas. Sensing an opening, state and national Democrats decided a win in House District 28 would give them a head start on flipping the nine seats they’d need to control the Texas House and boost their efforts to overturn GOP state legislative majorities from Arizona to Florida, Wisconsin to Pennsylvania and a dozen states in between.

The reason for this intense Democratic interest in state politics is redistricting. Democrats saw how Republican state legislative majorities affected the composition of the U.S. House after the 2010 census. Democrats want to do in more states what they did back then in drawing congressional lines favorable to their party in California, Illinois, Maryland and other blue bastions. The 2020 census gives them the opportunity, but only if they control at least one chamber of a state’s legislature.

Democrats, eager to set the tone for 2020, piled into the race with money, endorsements, technology, lists and volunteers to help Elizabeth Markowitz defeat her Republican opponent. Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Mike Bloomberg all endorsed Ms. Markowitz. Mr. Bloomberg even carved out time from his presidential campaign to go door-to-door with her. Former presidential candidates Julián Castro and Robert Francis O’Rourke also canvassed neighborhoods, Mr. O’Rourke so frequently that it looked as if he was trying to establish residency.

Calling the race “the most important election (yet) in 2020,” the former El Paso congressman said a victory could help turn Texas blue and “build momentum” in the state for the eventual Democratic presidential nominee.

Oh.. wait.. Never mind.. :D

DSWS,

Every person has not merely the authority but a positive obligation to judge their own actions -- which involves forming judgments on all morally significant issues whose outcomes are affected by their actions. As enfranchised citizens of a powerful country, we should make a reasonable effort to keep informed about world affairs, and to have morally defensible views on how our country involves itself in geopolitics.

We seem to be talking past each other..

I am talking groups such as nation states..

You are talking individuals within a nation state itself..

No nation has the right to pass judgement on another nation's right to exist..

Until such time as the Palestinians recognize Israel and their right to exist..

They will always be on the losing end of everything..

Russ,

then no one would dare be made to believe that the Republicans were about to remove Trump from office prior to the Senate voting on the Articles of Impeachment.

And what the hell was Warren thinking with that totally unfounded attack on Chief Justice Roberts!??

Separately, at the Senate impeachment trial Thursday, Warren posed a question that, by rule, was read aloud by Roberts -- and even Democrats in the chamber appeared visibly puzzled by the interrogatory.

"At a time when large majorities of Americans have lost faith in government, does the fact that the chief justice is presiding over an impeachment trial in which Republican senators have thus far refused to allow witnesses or evidence contribute to the loss of legitimacy of the chief justice, the Supreme Court and the Constitution?" Roberts read from the card handed to him by the clerk.

Warren just proved she does not have the diplomatic chops to be President..

So, this faux impeachment coup takes down another Dem Presidential candidate.. :D

Democrats are their own worst enemies.. :D

At one point Thursday afternoon, Jeffries argued that the Steele dossier -- written by a foreign ex-spy and dependent in part on Russian sources -- did not constitute improper foreign election interference because the Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee (DNC) paid for the dossier, rather than receiving it at no cost.

His claim came in response to a question from Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., that was aimed at arguing how the Democrats wouldn't want to apply their standards to their own candidates.

"Hillary Clinton's campaign and [the] Democratic National Committee hired a retired foreign spy to work with Russian contacts to build a dossier of opposition research against their political opponent, Donald Trump. Under the House managers' standard, would the Steele dossier be considered foreign interference in the U.S. election, a violation of the law, and/or an impeachable offense?" Burr asked.

Jeffries then rose and declared, "The analogy is, uh, not applicable to the present situation because, first, to the extent that opposition research was obtained, it was opposition research that was purchased."

This is EXACTLY why the Democrats' case is non-existent and their hypocrisy is glaringly obvious..

According to Democrats, "election interference" is perfectly acceptable if you pay for it, but not if you get it for free...

That is ya'all's Democrat Party position!

And ya'all wonder why ya'all lose all the time???

Based on Dershowitz’s reasoning, I guess he believes that Adolf Hitler committed no crime if Hitler believed everything he did was in Germany’s best interest!

Nice spin.. That's not was Der said and you know it.

Actually, it is EXACTLY what DerDumbShit said — costing him any credibility and respect he might have had as a law professor and scholar. I hope he got paid a lot to represent that disgusting sex offender scum...Not to mention he also represented Jeffrey Epstein, an equally repulsive individual!

Dershowitz said that as long as the president believed it was in the country’s best interest for him to do whatever selfish thing he decides to do, then Trump cannot be impeached over it!

That means he can cancel our elections.

He can have news media that he claims reports “fake news’ about him forced out of business.

He can have anyone who hurts his fragile wittle feelings thrown in jail.

He can personally profit off the American people having to pay excessive prices to cover the costs of the Secret Service forced to stay at his private clubs. Oh wait... he already does that!

Bottom line: Dershowitz proved he’d go to any length to defend his clients — even at the cost of his own reputation and self-respect for making such ridiculous arguments!

I’m guessing a few of the President’s attorney’s will be facing disbarment after this trial is complete. All for a man who will toss them under the bus in a second...and whose check will probably bounce!

And Republicans will have the pleasure of knowing that history will forever mock them for being the most corrupted wussies to ever accept foreign money in exchange for their souls!

The world is watching this Impeachment and waiting nervously to see if our country can pull together to rid ourselves of the cancerous orange tumor, or has the cancer taken over and we are toast. Our international reputation is at stake; if Trump is acquitted, we’ll be mourned as a great civilization that has been lost!

The left reacts

Reaction from the left was immediate and emotional. Mara Gay, a member of The New York Times editorial board, lamented on MSNBC that the situation was "really a capstone in a, just, total collapse of faith in American institutions."

Gay went on to say that her father grew up in the Jim Crow-era South, and declared that Republicans' arguments were "quite familiar" and reminded her of that time.

"And you know, I have to say, as somebody who grew up with a father who grew up in the Jim Crow South, and in, uh, Jim Crow Detroit, a lot of what this has looked like from the Republican side, the kind of a maddening and farcical nature of this, the lack of good-faith argument, sounds very familiar to me. It's actually very scary."

Anchor Brian Williams, who notably lied repeatedly in order to embellish his time in Iraq, then said that Gay spoke for a "metric ton" of the network's viewers.

Jim Crow???

Oh yea... Democrats one and all..

“Our founding documents provide for duly elected presidents who serve with ‘the consent of the governed,’ not at the pleasure of the United States Congress. Let the people decide.”

So many words of wisdom..

Why are ya'all so afraid of letting the people decide??

The answer is a simple one.

Because ya'all know that, once again, ya'all are going to lose..

"If this shallow, hurried and wholly partisan impeachment were to succeed, it would rip the country apart, pouring gasoline on the fire of cultural divisions that already exist. It would create the weapon of perpetual impeachment to be used against future presidents whenever the House of Representatives is of a different political party.

The framers believed that there should never, ever be a partisan impeachment. That is why the Constitution requires a 2/3 vote of the Senate for conviction. Yet not one House Republican voted for these articles."
-Senator Lamar Alexander

This whole faux impeachment coup was a BAD idea from start to finish..

START being Nov 10th, 2016..

FINISH being TODAY when President Trump is officially VINDICATED and EXONERATED..

:D

I have been telling you people since Sep that this day would come.

Now it's here...

Don't ya'all feel great?? :D

Democrats are now left with a stark choice..

They can graciously accept defeat and accept the FACT that, thru their representatives, the American people have spoken.. They can move past their hate and bigotry and realize that the will of the people is paramount and work for the betterment of the country, writing off 2020 and plan for 2024...

THAT would be best course of action for everybody concerned...

ESPECIALLY Democrats..

OR...

Democrats can continue down their path of personal destruction buoyed by their hatred, intolerance and bigotry...

It isn't hard to realize which path the Democrats will follow.. :eyeroll:

It’s no longer a question of whether Trump was guilty of withholding foreign aid to force a foreign government to claim it was investigating a candidate Trump knows would kick his ass in the 2020 election...Trump defense has made the case that he did do exactly that!

Even if you had the facts to support that claim??

SO??

Foreign Policy...

Sole Purview..

President Of The United States..

These things ringing any bells???

Can these FACTS penetrate your hate and bigotry??

Dershowitz’s argument — that if a president is so narcissistic as to believe that their re-election is truly in the nation’s best interests, nothing they do can be viewed as an impeachable offense — might just cause the Founding Fathers to burst out of their graves to set the record straight as to what actions are impeachable.

There is no need for that..

We already know what actions are impeachable.

HIGH CRIMES

MISDEMEANORS

Democrats have already proven they don't have any facts to support those impeachable actions by virtue of them pushing NON-CRIMINAL, NON-IMPEACHMENT Articles Of Impeachment..

Funny how you just ignore these FACTS...

Did my hearing fail me or did the president's counsel, at the end of today's proceedings say that there is a better case for impeachment against Biden than there is against Trump!?

The very next and last question to the desk from Democrats was to ask the house managers to respond to that outrageous inference from the president's counsel before the senate adjourns for the night.

Then, Schiff was about to get up to answer but Nadler beat him to it, as Schiff tried to stop him from speaking, calling, "Jerry!".

Nadler didn't address the Biden comparison but just went into his usual rant about and angry tone.

And, then it was over. What just happened there?

Democrats fell apart..

Are you really surprised??

Trump trial could end soon; Alexander says no to witnesses

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee declared late Thursday night he will oppose calling more witnesses in President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, all but dashing Democratic efforts for more testimony and pushing the Senate toward an imminent vote to acquit the president.

That's it, people.. GAME OVER..

This faux impeachment coup is officially a huge incompetent failure..

Democrats and Trump/America haters lose..

Me, President Trump and the American people win.. :D

Russ,

Nope! Trump is a coward. He didn’t respond at all

OK.. Have it your way with your bigoted and hate-filled opinion..

But EITHER way, Schiff-head was lying..

Thank you for your concession..

Based on Dershowitz’s reasoning, I guess he believes that Adolf Hitler committed no crime if Hitler believed everything he did was in Germany’s best interest!

Nice spin.. That's not was Der said and you know it.

You just can't get past your bigotry and your hatred of President Trump...

Face reality, Russ..

Yer gonna lose.. You hate that. So you are just lashing out.

Great tidbit for Republicans to chew on before they cast their votes! They can side with the Constitution and do what is best for this country...or they can acquit Trump. There is no other way to view this honestly.

President Trump did NOT tell anyone to go pound sand..

President Trump told Democrats, "See you in court"

Nope! Trump is a coward. He didn’t respond at all — he just acted like he never received their requests. This was the clearest signal that Trump was just stalling for time — he gamed the legal system’s process so that it would take 3 separate visits to SCOTUS before Congress would receive any documents that they sought.

It’s no longer a question of whether Trump was guilty of withholding foreign aid to force a foreign government to claim it was investigating a candidate Trump knows would kick his ass in the 2020 election...Trump defense has made the case that he did do exactly that! Now, the Senate will vote to decide if a president really is able to do anything he wishes without oversight from Congress or the Judicial system!

And if Republicans vote to acquit, then nothing would prevent Trump from canceling the 2020 presidential election because he believes it is in our country’s best interest for him to remain in office.

“If you accept the argument that the president of the United States can tell you to pound sand when you try to investigate his wrongdoing, there will be no force behind any Senate subpoena in the future,”

But the total exoneration and vindication of President Trump and the utter decimation of the Democrat's latest faux impeachment coup doesn't even warrant a mention?? :D

Again, my apologies for the lack of column today, but promise I'll be sharing all my impeachment trial thoughts in tomorrow's column, as I did last week.

And THAT'S what I get for not reading the column all the way thru..

My apologies, CW... I look forward to your honest thoughts on how badly the Democrats frak'ed it all up.. :D

There will be no column today, sorry. I am playing hooky to watch all of the last day of questions in the impeachment trial in the Senate. Also, next week's going to be a doozy, starting with the Iowa caucuses on Monday, the State Of The Union speech on Tuesday, and finishing with the next Democratic debate on Friday. So I'm resting up for all of that. Again, my apologies for the lack of column today, but promise I'll be sharing all my impeachment trial thoughts in tomorrow's column, as I did last week.

Really??

All of that is a "doozy"??

But the total exoneration and vindication of President Trump and the utter decimation of the Democrat's latest faux impeachment coup doesn't even warrant a mention?? :D
