Russ,

According to a wise political analyst who knows Harris and has contact with her campaign, she is not "intellectually prepared" for a presidential run at this time and it would be best if she stays in the Senate and become more knowledgeable.

I agree with that analysis. She hasn't demonstrated that she is ready to be president. Which means she isn't ready to be a vice presidential pick nor US attorney general.

She needs to bask in the Senate for a long while before thinking about another run. 2020 just wasn't her time.

It all reminds of another young senator - with admittedly more experience than Harris has now - decided to run for president in 1988. He left that race amid false charges of plagiarism … and terrible headaches. If he hadn't ended his run for being a little too arrogant and dismissive on the stump, then he very clearly could have died of a brain aneurism.

My point is that, later on, Biden realized that he wasn't ready to run for president in 1988.

I've been hard on Harris for her wholly disingenuous attack on Biden in the first debate this year but, maybe she will realize that she too wasn't ready to run for president in 2020.

John M

I am pretty sure that Stacey Abrams will be the VP regardless of which Democrat wins the primary. The only person that wouldn’t have needed Abrams on their ticket just dropped out of the race. I think Harris chose to drop out in order to prepare for the Senate impeachment trial. It’s a great way to show off her skills as a tough prosecutor and land her the Attorney General’s office if the Democrats take back the White House.

Kamala Harris became the next candidate to drop out, not one of the bottom tiers.

Totally blindsided her campaign staff by doing so too, as I understand it.

So, with the most diverse Democratic party in history, all the front runners are now white, and with only one exception, all male. They are also all over 70, again with one exception.

How about a Biden / Buttigieg ticket???

- kittens are always more complicated than I remember...

The same can be said of cats. Especially when it comes to crating them for a trip to THE VET.

Best to start several hours before the appointment. Wh
