NOAA was also right to correct the person at the Birmingham bureau who used absolute language in response to a presidential tempest-in-a-teaspoon. The folks there are professionals, who should be held to a corresponding standard. That means not involving themselves in a political dispute, and it means saying "negligible" when they mean negligible.

The forecasting of the weather isn't a "political dispute." If the President of the United States incorrectly informs an entire state via a tweet that a potential deadly weather event is "most likely" going to "hit (much) harder than anticipated" and ends the tweet with "GOD BLESS EVERYONE," then scientists with their phones ringing off the hook ought to be able to do their jobs as scientists and notify the inquiring people who want the facts. Alabama wasn't in the path of Dorian when Trump made the false tweet, and the taxpayers of Alabama had a right to know that whether the Moron-In-Chief is a thin-skinned Fat Bastard or not. :)

I haven't kept up with every tweet, meme, and late-night comedy monologue in Sharpiegate, but here's my impression:

Trump's statement was not correct. There was no time at which it was forecast that Alabama would "most likely be hit" at all. The probability topped out at 20%. Even if that 20% chance had been realized, the "much harder than" part wouldn't apply. The possible brush with the fringes of Dorian by a small part of Alabama was never expected to be much harder than a gentle summer breeze.

However,

NOAA was right to refuse comment on exactly what Trump had said. Their job is to forecast the weather, not to parse presidential statements. They stuck to that job. Good for them.

And,

An interesting analysis of turnout vs swing voting in 2018:
https://medium.com/@yghitza_48326/revisiting-what-happened-in-the-2018-election-c532feb51c0

Comparing the presidential election of 2016 to the House elections of 2018, the difference was swing voting, contrary to what I believed. But when they compare apples to apples (congressional vs congressional, 2014 and 2018) the difference is which voters turn out.

I still say all elections are turnout elections. But I was wrong about the degree to which this is true.

you can't expect a serious answer to a silly question. religious groups are protected by law from discrimination. political groups are not, and that distinction goes both ways. it's also perfectly legal to discriminate against someone because they're a democrat. sure it might not feel so good, but if you're true to your political convictions, it shouldn't bother you in the least.

I already know how I feel about it..

I wanted to know how YOU feel about Democrats who claim to be the epitome of tolerance and respect and then turns around and denies service based on political beliefs...

I mean, if your ONLY argument is what is legal or not, if there is no morality or ethics involved, just say so..

Something along the lines of, I don't have ANY problem with discrimination as long as all laws are followed..

So, if some guy in a I LOVE WARREN shirt has a blinding headache, YOU don't have a problem with the grocer who has a bunch of I LOVE TRUMP signs refuses to sell the Warren fan some aspirin...

After all, it's NOT involving a protected class, so it's PERFECTLY legal with no moral or ethical issues involved..

I just wanted to make sure I understand your position.

And now I do..

Thank you..

I am not sure which is sadder: NOAA putting out a directive to its employees warning them not to contradict anything that Trump says — if he says “it’s raining men”, then the only acceptable response by NOAA employees is “Hallelujah!”

*laughs* This is priceless. :)

Three teams were on the field. One was good. Two were bad.

No worries. Don't sweat the small stuff. Football is like life: You win some; you lose some. Enjoy the game in the meantime regardless of the outcome. :)

While I would love to blame the result on one of the bad teams, the Giants were bad enough all on their own making any argument on how bad the other bad team was irrelevant.

The Giants have a great running back. I think they looked pretty good for Week 1. They'll be fine. But hopefully not too fine. ;)

When it becomes clear that you refuse to honestly debate a topic, choosing instead to stick to a dishonest premise and demanding everyone concede that your dishonest premise must be accepted as fact, then yeah, why not bail?

And yet, it's YOU people who spew constant bullshit.. Like "retractions are going to be issued" and "President Trump really did collude with Russians" and so on and so on and so on.

I bring the FACTS to counter your bullshit.

And ya'all can't handle it, so you bail..

Up until they put out a directive stating that Trump must be right no matter how wrong he actually is!

Once again.. MORE BULLSHIT... You have no facts.. Only hate infused bullshit...

I have the facts and you have your bullshit..

Ya'all can't handle it so ya'all bail..

It's THAT simple..

President Trump made up a phony deployment that involved hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of US military members..

And he did ALL that so one of his properties can make an extra one hundred and thirty six dollars..

Really think about that.. Hopefully you are not too far gone and will come to realize how COMPLETELY and UTTERLY and UNEQUIVOCALLY insane that sounds...

You think that this was a one time thing? That’s funny! The military, in the last year, has paid $11 million for jet fuel at the local airport — an airport that is critical for Trump’s club to exist and that has been desperate for money to stay afloat. Also, Trump’s club reported a $2 million increase in profits over the last year after years of losing money. Members of the Scottish media uncovered a letter announcing the partnership between the Trump organization and the government owned airport. That you thought this was about just $136, that is what is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY and UNEQUIVOCALLY insane!!!

I have noticed ya'all's tendency to bail on events when you can no longer sustain the bullshit..

Yeah, YOUR BULLSHIT! When it becomes clear that you refuse to honestly debate a topic, choosing instead to stick to a dishonest premise and demanding everyone concede that your dishonest premise must be accepted as fact, then yeah, why not bail?

And let's keep in mind, people..

This is the NOAA we're talking about..

This is the agency whose word you treat as gospel..

Up until they put out a directive stating that Trump must be right no matter how wrong he actually is! You keep ignoring this little nugget, for good reason! Trump has now caused irreparable damage to the agency’s credibility and effectiveness, which was hard earned, from this day forward!

Holy shit, you claimed the other day that you call Trump out when he does stupid shit...
How are you defending this?!!? I’m still waiting for examples of when you have called out Trump for anything, but I don’t expect a response.

WHEN they say what you want to hear.. :eyeroll:

Yeah, cause I WANT them to report that a tornado is heading for my home! I WANT them to report that a hurricane is headed your way and is likely going to wipe out your town! Jesus Christ, what a friggin stupid statement...which just goes to show what you are reduced to arguing in order to defend Trump! This is an agency that should not be influenced by partisan politics, and by law are not supposed to be!

NOAA puts out a directive telling employees not to contradict the dick, and then puts out this statement that -surprise- doesn’t contradict him...and you think that proves Trump was right! My question to you is this — if Trump was wrong, would their statement have indicated that fact?

I will also note that in the earliest projections, where only 5 out of the 100 computer simulations projected that part of Alabama could be hit, only a small part of the state was at risk. NOAA and the weather service are very specific when they describe who is in the path of a storm. They don’t warn that all of “Texas” should be seeking shelter when only the coast is at risk. Trump’s warning made it sound like Birmingham was just as threatened as Mobile was — which was true, as neither were at risk by the time he tweeted out his warning.

And what was up with his altering the map with his Sharpie, which you have ignored? And don’t pull the “anyone could have done that” bull...he’s the only manchild who carries around a magic marker instead of a pen... if he didn’t alter it himself, he knows who did since he’d have had to loan them his to do it!

None are forthcoming..

Concede that ya'all were wrong and President Trump was factually accurate.. As the FACTS and REALITY prove..

Then we can move on to Balthy's fantasy USAF deployment scandal..

Ahh well.. I am SURE ya'all can find SOMETHING to bitch and moan about..

I am not sure which is sadder: NOAA putting out a directive to its employees warning them not to contradict anything that Trump says — if he says “it’s raining men”, then the only acceptable response by NOAA employees is “Hallelujah!”— or you cheerleading their “defense” of Trump’s actions as if anyone believes that NOAA’s statement should be accepted at face value.

I can tell you what's sadder...

You believing all that Left Wing horseshit that doesn't have an IOTA of fact to support it.

Do you approve of Trump’s sudden decision to end asylum status for those requiring life-saving medical care in this country? These people were given no warning that their status was in jeopardy, they were just sent letters informing them they had 30 days to leave the country or they would face deportation procedures. These are sick individuals, often with extremely rare diseases, who will die if they are forced to stop the treatments that brought them here in the first place! Some of these people were asked to move here by medical researchers because their diseases are so rare that they were needed to participate in the research to help find a cure.

Is this one of those great policies that Trump is responsible for that you believe we would support if we just looked at it rationally?

We're discussing ya'all's hysterical attacks on President Trump for his Hurricane Dorian claim..

All attacks that have been PROVEN to be completely and utter BULLSHIT..

Let's finish out that topic first..

Then we can move on to ya'all's OTHER bullshit..

Mmmm 'kay??

“I really believe sincerely – the climate that we’re in today – if the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments of the United States Constitution, were put before the public today, I’m not too sure that we would hold onto the Bill of Rights.
Jebus, there's more spam in this thread than in Hawaii.

Trump fucked up, led, then browbeat the folks at NOAA to weave some pathetic tale around his fuck up.

Nothing new here.

Now we're finding out the CIA pulled one of their most valuable assets out of Russia because they figured Trump would tell his pals in the Kremlin they had a spy in their midst.

He has to go, he's just wasting fresh air in the White House, he's getting nothing done but shaving points off his polling numbers.

Besides.. Florida has already taken steps to minimize school shootings..

We're arming teachers and eliminating the "soft target" status of Florida schools..

THAT is what helps stop school shootings..

Well Don, you've gotten the prognosis right, but missed on the prescription.

The only ones who can make this stop are Democrats.

Numerically, Electorally, whatever. The only hope to stop this guy is a democrat. Which Democrat? Any.

Any Democrat with a pulse will do. If Kamala or Bernie wins, I'll vote for that one, even though I prefer Biden.

It's Current Major Parties (two parties is not in the Constitution)- but they both are also corrupt.

When people call them the major parties it implies a permanence that can't be changed. Current Major Parties implies it can be changed.

And it can be changed when people are ready to stop rationalizing their mistakes so they can keep making the same mistakes and so they do not have to take any action now that could provide better results.

Yer preachin' to the choir.. :D

Unfortunately, many citizens apply the same standards to political beliefs as religious beliefs-

Exactly..

And given the passionate way in which many people show their devotion to their Party (Shooting up Republican Baseball practices and shooting up a bar in Dayton etc etc) it's logical and rational to consider the point that, for these fanatics, their politics IS their religion..

Actually Brown got less money. What he wanted was to misbehave forcing the Raiders to release him so he could sign with the Patriots.

Ahhh OK.. Yea, like I said. I don't follow football that closely..

Maybe the Jags will trade for Eli.

Oh we have the EAGLES Phenom.. :D

But the Jags back-up QB was more impressive.. :D

Almost noon..

And still, not a SINGLE retraction of the official NOAA statement..

Where are all those retractions and condemnations from current NOAA officials???

{{{ccchhhhiiirrrppppp}}}{{{cchhhiiirrrppp}}}

Given Occam's Razor, the most likely explanation is that ya'all simply can't admit when ya'all are wrong..

Something ya'all accuse President Trump of..

I find that very funny, ya'all acting just like what ya'all CLAIM to hate in President Trump.

:D hehehehehehehehehehehe Funny.. :D

More hypocrisy...

Obama has been lecturing people for over a decade about carbon and pollution and global warming and the rising of the seas...

Yet he turns around and buys a MASSIVE carbon belching estate on and ISLAND...

Apparently Odumbo doesn't really believe the global warming bullshit he's spewing..

There’s nothing wrong with the former president purchasing a large home, of course. Why, even the socialist firebrand Bernie Sanders has three properties of his own. But the optics of Mr. Obama residing in an enormous island home seem hypocritical, at best. After all, he did spend eight years lecturing the American people about the importance of minimizing their carbon footprints and the looming crisis of eroding shorelines.

In addition, Mr. Obama once famously said that at “a certain point, you’ve made enough money.” Apparently, he and Michelle haven’t reached that point. Between speaking fees, book contracts and their Netflix deal, the couple’s net worth is roughly $40 million, according to Business Insider. Good to know they still have room to work with before they begin to voluntarily turn over their assets to federal or state bureaucrats.

If comfortable members of the progressive gentry set don’t take global warming seriously, why should anyone else?

Oh, and those “shrinking islands” Mr. Obama was so worried about? Turns out the notion of rising seas swallowing up island nations is actually more climate alarmism designed to erode opposition to a massive government takeover of the American economy. Studies reveal that many of the “endangered” reef islands in the Pacific and Indian oceans have actually increased in land mass in recent years.

“The implication,” National Geographic reported in 2015, “is that many islands — especially less developed ones with few permanent structures — may cope with rising seas well into the next century.”

And that includes Martha’s Vineyard, we presume.
https://www.reviewjournal.com/opinion/editorials/editorial-what-global-warming-obama-to-buy-marthas-vineyard-mansion-1844248/

Funny.. Apparently belt-tightening and cutting carbon footprints are only for the lesser peasants and peons.

The Democrat elites are not bound by the strictures they want to impost on those of lower stations...

not at all, michale. i'm just saying that the law of the land currently allows some forms of discrimination and not others.

Oh, of that the facts are clear.. It IS discrimination..

My question is, what is YOUR opinion about Trump supporters being discriminated against??

Especially from people who take pride in the "tolerance" and "love" of their Democrat Party..

I know the facts. We agree on the facts.

But what do you THINK about it??

religious and political beliefs are two different things

Based on all available facts, when it comes to Trump/America haters, the line between the two is nearly non-existent..

We see examples of that every day..

at least they are supposed to be, here in the united states of america.

Agreed.. They SHOULD be.. In the here and now?? Not so much..

trump supporters are currently not entitled to protection from discrimination, any more than are socialists or communists. you may disagree with that state of affairs, but it's currently the way things are.

So, what you are saying is that discrimination is perfectly acceptable when it comes to discriminating against President Trump supporters..

So, you would not bat an eye if Warren supporters or Biden supporters were refused services...

Is THAT what you are trying to say??? :D

Why is it NOT OK for those with a -R after their name to discriminate based on their religious beliefs, but it's perfectly acceptable for those with a -D after their name to discriminate based on THEIR religious(political) beliefs???

religious and political beliefs are two different things. at least they are supposed to be, here in the united states of america. that's right there in the first amendment. people who are frequently discriminated against based on religion are considered part of a "protected class," while people who share similar political views are not. trump supporters are currently not entitled to protection from discrimination, any more than are socialists or communists. you may disagree with that state of affairs, but it's currently the way things are.

Poor Kamala Harris was visibly uncomfortable as she waved her arms around desperately as the answers were extracted.

“Will you commit to implementing a federal ban on fracking your first day in office, adding the United States to the list of countries who have banned this devastating practice?” she was asked.

“There’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking, so yes,” Harris replied.

CNN’s Erin Burnett asked Harris if she would “reduce red meat specifically” if she were president.

“Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I would,” said Harris, dancing around the stage like a cat on a hot tin roof.

“Plastic straws?”.

“I think we should, yes.”

“Offshore drilling”

“Yes.”

Her voice barely above a whisper at the end, you could almost see her political future flash before her eyes.

Banning everything is not a recipe for electoral success.

At times, I almost feel SORRY for the Dem candidates..

Yea.. Sounds like Brown gamed the system to get more $$$ for himself... And he was a whiney baby in the process...

Hmmmmmmm

If AB should be suspended, hell half the players in the NFL would be too, I would guess...

I am not generally a football fan, unless it's the Jaguars or asshole America hating players are kneeling and disrespecting the flag and our country..

So, I see a bad situation there, but also one that is pretty much par for the course..

"It's not about being right! You went head-to-head with an eight million-dollar quarterback! Who did you think was gonna win? But that's not gonna happen here. I'm talking about a team of poor nobodies who play to win. Not a bunch of bitchy millionaires."

The truth about Democrats’ climate chamber

Joe Biden’s bleeding eye at the Democrats’ marathon “climate crisis” town hall on CNN is as good an omen as any of the political curse of eco-catastrophism.

From banning cheeseburgers and plastic straws to aborting babies in poor countries, the swivel-eyed climate zealotry of the 10 Democratic front-runners has just rendered them unelectable.

It’s extraordinary the candidates were gullible enough to be lured into what clearly was an ambush by puppet youth climate activists from the shadowy Sunrise Movement and 350.org.

Sunrise boasted afterward that it engineered the seven-hour talkfest, bypassing the DNC’s refusal to hold an official climate debate. (Next up is CNN’s LGBTQ Town Hall next month, proving the Democrats are fatally preoccupied with fringe concerns that might get them plaudits on Twitter but won’t win over a single voter from Donald Trump.)

Yunno.. Democrats have already lost the General Election..

They might as well concede it now and save all the headaches for the American people and save all their money and assets and work towards 2024...

Democrats have lost 2020.. And they are either too stoopid to see it or to prideful to admit it..

In Media War, It's Trump vs. the Black Knight

Another dazzling performance by President Trump from the Oval Office on Wednesday as he took on all questions from the Fake News Media.

POTUS covered the entire globe, from the Bahamas and Hurricane Dorian to China and the trade talks, Iran and North Korea, Boris Johnson and Brexit, and Mexico and the border wall. See the video here, with the questions starting at the 9:30 mark.

The protectors of the Fake News narrative immediately started undermining Trump with the voracious appetite of termites. That was true of CNN and MSNBC, naturally, but also Neil Cavuto and his merry band of globalists on Fox Business. It is tempting to spend more time talking about the media midges who buzz and bite the president incessantly, but what’s the point? If they can’t understand that a hurricane hitting Florida head-on from the Bahamas is likely to make its way to Alabama in some form, then what, exactly, can they understand?

That ultimately is why the president is his own best spokesman -- he does not have to play footsie with the swaggering, boastful buffoons of the White House press corps. He can just leave them limbless and confused in his wake like King Arthur dispatching the “invincible” Black Knight in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” They may think they are still walking around on their own two feet, but the evidence proves otherwise.

“We’ve taken a position so far, the candidates have ... few have not, about basically 'Medicare-for-all,' which is we’re gonna eliminate 150 million people’s health care and we’re gonna provide health care for people that [have] just come over the border."

That is an untenable position for the general election. ... This is reckless. You don’t have to take the position to win the primary and you’re basically, literally hindering yourself for the general election.”
-Former Obama Chief Of Staff Rahm Emanuel

Seriously.. If there is ANYONE who thinks that the Dem nominee who promises the end of private health care, open borders and free full Crimmigrant health care can be a tenable or defendable position to hold in the General Election??

Anyone who thinks that??

They are deluding themselves..

1000% delusional... Fantasy.. Pipe Dream.. NEVER gonna happen..

Jagger, who rarely comments on politics, said "the US should be the world leader in environmental control but now it has decided to go the other way.

Actually, the US has gone farther than ANY OTHER COUNTRY in curtailing pollution..

Every other country that signed onto the Paris accord is NOT meeting their obligations..

The US is beating those countries hands down..

And we are doing it voluntarily, which is how it should be done..

"Tony. You chose to do that. If we sign these, we surrender our right to choose. We may not be perfect, but the safest hands are still our own."

This is something that religious-esque Global Warming fanatics simply CAN'T understand..

THEY want to take away our right to choose and give right to the UN to choose for us..

President Trump should be hailed as a hero for taking us out of that no-win situation..

Oh Balthy???

The Internet is has been open for 7 minutes now..

According to you, there should be a plethora of retractions over the fact that President Trump was factually accurate and all of ya'all were totally and 1000% wrong...

Statement from NOAA
September 6, 2019

Welcome to noaa.gov

From Wednesday, August 28, through Monday, September 2, the information provided by NOAA and the National Hurricane Center to President Trump and the wider public demonstrated that tropical-storm-force winds from Hurricane Dorian could impact Alabama. This is clearly demonstrated in Hurricane Advisories #15 through #41, which can be viewed at the following link.

The Birmingham National Weather Service’s Sunday morning tweet spoke in absolute terms that were inconsistent with probabilities from the best forecast products available at the time.
https://www.noaa.gov/news/statement-from-noaa

Nope.. Statement is still there.. Completely un-altered...

Ready to admit ya were wrong??

Of course yer not.. You can't.. NONE of you can.. :eyeroll:

The 2020 candidates and their supporters appear to be as angry at America as they are at Trump. They express contempt for our history and act as if everything about our country is so polluted that we must smash the existing order and start over.

As a result, nearly all the candidates are espousing ideas that are so far out of the mainstream that they sound more like calls for revolution than reform.

Abolish the Electoral College is one example, pack the Supreme Court is another. Opening the borders and giving free health care to illegal immigrants, ideas that were fringe four years ago, are now basic requirements for all Dems.

Ahhhh I see now.. Democrats hate America because America elected Donald Trump as President..

It all makes sense now..

ANYONE who supports President Trump (and America sure fits the bill) is to be demonized and attacked and vilified..

"I can see clearly now, the rain is gone.."

Perhaps Donald and his supporters should demand protected class status. I'm sure they'll find a few sympathetic federal judges.

Why not?? Liberals and Progressives have been doing that for the last decade or so..

But, regardless... Your thoughts?

Why is it NOT OK for those with a -R after their name to discriminate based on their religious beliefs, but it's perfectly acceptable for those with a -D after their name to discriminate based on THEIR religious(political) beliefs???

Enquiring minds want to know.. :D

And, in the too stupid to give credence to...

David Hogg: We Need To Recognize "Indigenous Mass Shootings" Conducted By The American Government

Hogg said it made him "think back" to the Battle of Wounded Knee, a mass shooting "orchestrated by the United States government" that slaughtered "predominately men, woman, and children." Hogg was confounded that the Wounded Knee conflict is not discussed as a mass shooting.

"I think back to the Battle of Wounded Knee and the several hundred Native Americans, predominately men, woman, and children that were slaughtered by the United States government back in the nineteenth century. And how that is never discussed as a mass shooting. And that was wrong because those people were not armed, and we were stealing their land," Hogg said to the live studio audience.

Wal-Mart's "WOKE" Capitalism

Walmart -- the world's largest retailer -- has announced it's taking a side in the gun debate. The company will no longer sell handgun ammunition at its stores, nor will it sell rifle rounds that can be "also used in large capacity clips on military-style weapons." Then, Doug McMillon, Walmart's CEO, issued a statement calling on Congress to ban many semiautomatic rifles and seize firearms from some Americans who haven't been convicted of a crime -- or even charged with anything. For a company that operates primarily in rural America, all of this was a big step. How do rural Americans feel about it? We can only guess. There's not a lot of polling going on in Dixon, Montana, or Roxbury, Maine. But in the most expensive parts of New York and Los Angeles, all the smart people were deeply impressed. They love Walmart now.

As you may remember, years ago, Walmart was the subject of coordinated attacks from the left. Progressives used to attack the company for destroying small-town America and exploiting workers. The company never really changed the way it does business, and yet, somehow, the left has mostly stopped attacking them. How did that happen? Part of the answer is that liberals got rich and lost interest in economics. Instead, they adopted identity issues. But Walmart also figured out it could buy immunity from the left's criticism by mouthing left-wing pieties. That's all it takes. Sound "woke" and they will leave you alone. Notice that Walmart still plans to sell the remainder of its AR-15 ammunition. This couldn't really be about saving lives, obviously. It's about the money. It's only about the money. But that's unsurprising; there's a lot of money at stake.
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2019/09/06/walmarts_woke_capitalism_141185.html

Liberals and Progressives are so easy to please.

Just do things their way and say the words that they want to hear and they will fall all over themselves to sing your praises to the highest heavens.

Never mind that merely a day ago, theses same Liberals and Progressives were demonizing you and attacking you as an evil corporation..

Never mind that they wouldn't be caught dead in your Wal-Mart store and attack and vilify those that do show your store..

You are saying what they want to hear, so now you are their bestest buddy..

Welcome to the ranks of the hateful and intolerant bigotry that is Liberalism and Progressivism..

Ahhhhhh A very interesting question..

Can a liberal catering service refuse to serve a Republican or Pro President Trump event??

Let's talk about it.. :D

Discrimination is the new norm for 'wrong' political views

A gay Cincinnati man — a lifelong Democrat living with HIV/AIDS — recently tweeted that a local business refused his request to cater an event.

The story harkens to private bakers in Colorado who, citing religious beliefs, refused to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple in 2012. (Ultimately, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 7-2 that the bakers were within their rights.) News of the bakery incident sparked outrage and was plastered on the news off and on for years.

But judging from the recent past, the reported refusal of a Cincinnati business to serve a gay man is unlikely to prompt across-the-board national outrage for one reason: The man is a supporter of President Trump. He says that was the reason given for why he was rejected as a customer.

The gay Trump supporter is named Scott Ford and he discussed the incident with me over the phone. He says he planned an event for 20-30 people. When the owner of the business — where he says he’d been “a loyal customer for two years” — asked what the event was, Ford told her it was a “pro-Trump event to highlight the president’s accomplishments.”

“She threw her hands up in the air and said, ‘No, as badly as I need the money, I’m not doing this,’” Ford told me. “It blew up into an argument in a matter of seconds. I said ‘This is a great president I’m supporting as a Democrat.’ I was disappointed and shocked.”
https://thehill.com/opinion/civil-rights/458861-discrimination-is-the-new-norm-for-wrong-political-views

Like I said.. If Democrats didn't have double standards, they would have no standards at all..

The tenuous front-runner has delicate lines to walk. Part of his charm is his warmth, openness and spontaneity. Yet when he talks or reacts before he thinks — not uncommon — it blurs those attributes. This isn't an easy balancing act.

On substance he has to better articulate a vision, at least a sense, of the future. And he must fully embrace Obama, a critical credential for him and a risk for his opponents if they continue to trash the policies of the enormously popular 44th President.

Joe Biden probably is the most electable Democrat, and probably has the best chance to govern with a modicum of effectiveness. If, however, he continues to make a series of gaffes those opportunities will vanish.

Better shine up your PRESIDENT TRUMP vote, JL.... :D

But hay.. Even after the Trump/America haters imploded on their Mini-Mueller-esque debacle, there is STILL a Democrat Primary in the works.. :D

Last week seven politically connected acquaintances, five Democrats and two anti-Trump Republicans offered identical observations: They hope Joe Biden gets his party's presidential nomination as he's best positioned to defeat the president.

And every day, they add, he makes them nervous.

For instance, the former vice president's campaign urged a vote for him — even if people like other candidates more — because he's the most electable.

He speculated on how awful it would have been if Barack Obama, who tapped him to be vice president, had been assassinated.

He suggested his support for women's rights once raised suspicions he might be gay.

Later he assured New Hampshire voters he's not "nuts," prompting the ultra-weird Newt Gingrich to call that the strangest campaign comment ever.

All within a week. Ouch.
https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/460422-biden-makes-supporters-nervous-his-gaffes-could-derail-him

Biden has GOT to be running one of the weirdest primary campaigns in history..

I am not nuts! I am not nuts!!
-Joe Biden

Sounds like Nixon with his I am not a crook comments..

Seriously Balthy, think about it..

REALLY stop and think..

MAJOR :eyeroll:

@Balthy,

Oh.. I guess you didn't see this..

What I tell ya!?? :D

Air Force defends stopover: Trump's Scotland hotel was the cheapest around

"The stopover of a U.S. Air Force C-17 in Glasgow, Scotland is not unusual. Every two and half minutes an Air Force transport aircraft takes off or lands somewhere around the globe," Brig. Gen. Ed Thomas said in a statement. "As our aircrews serve on these international airlift missions, they follow strict guidelines on contracting for hotel accommodations and all expenditures of taxpayer dollars."

"In this case, they made reservations through the Defense Travel System and used the closest available and least expensive accommodations to the airfield within the crews’ allowable hotel rates," Thomas continued.

He said the crew stayed at a Marriott hotel on the way back, and that they got a cheaper rate of $136 at Trump Turnberry compared to $161 at the Marriott property. The per diem rate is capped at $166.

He also said the Air Force had not found anything improper regarding the Trump Turnberry stay.
https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/air-force-trump-turnberry-scotland

Once again.. Hysterical Trump/America haters get hysterical over the miniscule...

And ONCE AGAIN, FACTS and REALITY bitch-slap them to the ground!!!

When will ya'all EVER learn your lesson..

You can't beat President Trump...

{End Trans}

Nothing unusual about the C-17 Scotland "incident"... Everything was completely legit and above board..

Ya'all are grasping at straws because ya'all are so god damned desperate to take down President Trump.

Ya'all KNOW he is going to be re-elected in a landslide..

Hell, a few Weigantians have even STATED as such...

Your desperation is understandable... But so tiresome and predictable..

I get it.. I really do.. I didn't want Obama re-elected in 2012.. But I was not so damn hysterical about it and didn't go to the lengths your Dumbocrats have gone to, to stop it..

Ya'all are acting 20x worse than what ya'all accused Republicans of acting during the Odumbo years..

There HAS to be a tipping point whereas Democrats look in the mirror in disgust at the hateful and intolerant bigots they have become..

There just HAS to...

@Balthy,

To make it all worse, the closely worded document from NOAA will probably be re-issued in the morning with even more close wording to try to muddy the waters.

You DO realize that the official NOAA Statement was placed on the Internet, right??

And that the Internet is actually open 24 hours a day 7 days a week..

You DO realize that... Right??

By afternoon, the staff will have threatened to quit, prompting talks. This will be followed by a retraction sometime Tuesday, or even possibly tomorrow night,

Yea.. Because all of your hysterical hate anti Trump predictions have ALWAYS come to pass... :^/

TRUMP IS TOAST PREDICTION #2,896,592

Michale [119]

Do you ever bother to read the articles you post claiming they support your arguments...because more and more of them do not!

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on Friday disavowed a tweet from the National Weather Service's Birmingham, Alabama, office that had contradicted President Donald Trump's false assertion that Hurricane Dorian was likely to hit the state.

They are still stating that Trump’s assertion that Alabama was going to be hit harder than expected by Dorian was FALSE!

Sorry, Michael, but the fact is that if Trump had just let this go, it would have just been one more screw up that would have disappeared into the vast sea of misstatements Trump has made and would have been forgotten within 24 hours.

This has been comical to view, as it demonstrates a trait that you find in people who intentionally lie all of the time — they cannot let it go when they believe they were wrongly accused of lying. Trump doesn’t usually get upset when he is called out for lying — he may double down and just keep repeating the lie or he will alter it somewhat, but Trump doesn’t fixate on it when he knows he lied. But Trump knows he heard Alabama named in one of his briefings on Hurricane Dorian, even if he didn’t pay too much attention to what was said, and he now cannot let it go!

Good luck next week, however! :)

Mike

Seriously, Victoria.. Your rantings are utterly pathetic..

Yes, you and your Whore spawn's criminal past is pathetic, and you're a fraud. Now you're getting it, Mike!

Why don't you just do the world a favor and eat a bullet... Oh, that's right. Yer deathly afraid of guns..

Mike, real law enforcement officers don't encourage people to kill themselves because it's a felony in multiple jurisdictions. While I'm not an ammosexual lunatic like yourself, it's laughable that your idea of an insult is to claim someone you don't know is "afraid of guns." Tells anyone everything they'd want to know about you, Mike.

What dipshits like you refer to as "a gun," Mike, is what I call a fucking toy. My idea of a gun is attached to the turret of a tank, Mike, and I've taught too numerous to count dipshits like yourself how to use them until I beat the stupid bitch right out of them and made them into soldiers. Your idea of a gun is a fucking joke. Next.

Jump off a bridge or swallow a punch of pills, if you can take your brother's cock out of your mouth long enough..

Again, fake cop: It is a felony in multiple jurisdictions to encourage someone to commit suicide.

Thank you so much for admitting defeat though, fake cop. I accept your admission. If you can't get rid of them by running them off the forum like you used to, just keep repeatedly asking them to kill themselves in commission of a crime and an admission that you can sure dish it out, but you're a whiny little bitch who can't take it.

I don't have a brother or a father so you just sound like a fucking idiot when you keep whining like a little bitch about a deceased person.

And if your wife and daughter prefers incest with the admitted Whore father and brothers, who are we in Weigantia to judge the Whores?

You are a waste of skin in this world and you should do society a favor and end your life..

I lost count on how many felonies you've committed on this board, but I accept your admission of defeat, you fucking Whore!

Everyone on this forum owns you, Mike. You are our fucking bitch. Troll harder! :D

Interesting to note..

The Statement from the NOAA that affirms the factual nature of President Trump's claims is in the NEWS-FEATURES section of the NOAA Website..

Many whiners and ignorant types have pointed to the fact that there is no signature or attribution so that makes the NOAA Statement suspect.

Funny thing about that.

NONE of the articles or news in that NOAA section are attributed...

So, not having an attribution or signature is perfectly normal...

The whiners and ignorant types just can't handle that they were, once again, utterly and completely WRONG and President Trump was 100% factually accurate...

Oh, how embarrassed ya'all must be!! :D

Even CNN is carrying the FACT that President Trump was factually accurate.. :D

NOAA disavows National Weather Service tweet that refuted Trump's claim Dorian was headed toward Alabama

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on Friday disavowed a tweet from the National Weather Service's Birmingham, Alabama, office that had contradicted President Donald Trump's false assertion that Hurricane Dorian was likely to hit the state.

In a statement attributed to an unnamed NOAA spokesperson, the agency said Trump had been given information from August 28 until Monday that Dorian could impact Alabama.

"From Wednesday, August 28, through Monday, September 2, the information provided by NOAA and the National Hurricane Center to President Trump and the wider public demonstrated that tropical-storm-force winds from Hurricane Dorian could impact Alabama," the statement read. "This is clearly demonstrated in Hurricane Advisories #15 through #41, which can be viewed on the center's website.

"The Birmingham National Weather Service's Sunday morning tweet spoke in absolute terms that were inconsistent with probabilities from the best forecast products available at the time."

Hay Balthy..

Who you kidding, Daddy's Little Cockholster.. I OWN you..

You own a doublewide trailer in Shithole, Florida that isn't worth shit.

That's why you follow me around the forum like the little bitch you are.. :D

You're the bitch that is owned by the entire board, Mugshots. You troll everyone here on a near daily basis. You get your jollies by trolling the group in repetitive fashion with the same shit over and over and over in repetitive fashion.

You're a very unimaginative troll, and everyone here in Weigantia owns your ass!

You sure like to talk about cocks alot.. Is Daddy's beginning to bore you?? You maybe want to add your brother's too??

Could you please take your discussion with your daughter and sons to another forum? No one here wants to hear anything else about the Whore family with the easily searchable mugshots to prove it. So many mugshots, Mike! Easily searchable too!

Yea, doesn't surprise me a bit...

Didn't surprise me either when I found the family mugshots online. You've already admitted on the forum that you and your wife were whores, and you've admitted to a small part of your criminal past. It was only natural that you'd spawn a bunch more Whores and they'd follow in your criminal footsteps. :D

What a stimulating and relevant discussion.

Welcome to the Dumbocrat Party.. Where no detail is too minuscule to have a hysterical hissy fit over...

And all the sharpies in the world can't shrink that cone of influence which completely engulfs both the Dems and Republicans.

But!! But!!! Dumbocrats SAY they are against Citizens United and big money interests!!! But then they turn around and use them to their fullest potential..

Dumbocrats SAY one thing, but then do the exact opposite!!

Watts Up Wid Dat!!???

"The worst part about this whole ridiculous thing is the damage it's done to public trust in meteorologists. I'm so incredibly upset, disheartened, angry, and baffled. These are absurd times, my friends. Hang in there."

What you talkin' about Willis???

Since the NWS has put politics over science and reality with their global warming bullshit...

The American people, the patriotic ones, have NEVER trusted the NWS...

Duh!!

Three former NOAA heads have expressed this concern. Kathryn Sullivan, a former NASA astronaut who ran the agency under President Barack Obama, said that throughout NOAA's history, the agency - including its political appointees - has committed "to not let any political factors sway the scientific credibility and clarity of Weather Service forecasts and warnings."

She stated: "The anonymous and disingenuous statement NOAA tweeted out is a major breach of scientific integrity that damages the NWS and stains the agency's leadership."

Jane Lubchenco, who preceded Sullivan as NOAA administrator under Obama, told The Washington Post via email: "This looks like classic politically motivated obfuscation to justify inaccurate statements made by the boss. It is truly sad to see political appointees undermining the superb, life-saving work of NOAA's talented and dedicated career servants."

And James Baker, who headed NOAA under President Bill Clinton, wrote in an email that the agency has an obligation to back its scientists. "The role of NOAA and any higher level oversight is to support, not to rebuke, the key message that the experts have carefully developed," he said. "In this case, NOAA and the White House should have focused on the potential East Coast damages which were accurately forecast."

All Trump/America hating Democrat sycophants....

Yea.. Now THERE is credible sources... :eyeroll:

The FACTS support President Trump.. The SCIENCE supports President Trump...

Whiners and Trump/America haters simply can't handle the reality of the here and now..
