And also remind me how President Trump lost on the census citizenship question??

As I've told you multiple times already, the SCOTUS ruled that the Trump administration lied *shocker, not shocker* about their reason to include the citizenship question on the census. That lie is already out there and not going anywhere. No other new lie is going to pass muster since that toothpaste is already out of the tube.

Trump expected to announce executive action on census question.

Yes. But how many times must you be told that Trump lost big time in the SCOTUS before it sinks in?

Once again, I forgot what with all the facts to the contrary... :D

The fact is: Trump lost in the SCOTUS. Got that yet?

Gingrich on Dems' infighting: AOC, other freshmen questioning why they need to listen to Pelosi

During a Thursday morning appearance on "America's Newsroom," the former Speaker of the House said that Ocasio-Cortez's argument is a "classic comment by the hard left."

"Everything becomes either an attack on women, but since Pelosi is a woman, it has to be women of color," Gingrich said. "The key thing here is very simple. We have now seen a group of genuine radicals who are way outside any reasonable position, and their public spokesperson is AOC.

Occasional Cortex thinks she's all growed up now and don't have to listen to Grandma Pelosi... :D

@CW,

Facts straight from the BLS. Not Trump spin. So of course you'll admit that Obama was better at job creation than Trump, right?

(holds breath waiting... heh...)

Sure.. If you cheery pick the comparison time frame, you might be able to tweak the numbers to get the desired result..

What are the numbers for Obama his first two and a half years in office..

That is the ONLY legitimate comparison to make..

Between 2009 and 2013, Obama created 1,213 jobs

Between 2017 and 2019 (HALF OF OBAMA time frame), President Trump created TEN TIMES as many jobs!! 11,169

So, if you REALLY want to compare job creation, use the parameters that are accurate..

Sure, you can pick a good month for Obama and a bad month for Trump and crow how much better Obama did.. You can compare apples and alligators and make it sing and dance all you want..

But the FACT remains.. President Trump has been a better job creator then Obama could EVER hope to be..

President Trump has created SLIGHTLY less jobs in 2 years what it took Obama to create in EIGHT YEARS!!!!

Facts don't lie, my friend...

Democrats care more about helping illegal aliens than Americans

The contrast is stark.

While President Trump is working daily to improve the economy, create good-paying jobs and solve pressing problems facing Americans, the biggest issue right now for Democrats running for president in 2020 is helping illegal aliens get into the United States to get services paid for by U.S. taxpayers.

Some candidates are literally going to Mexico to literally help foreigners literally cross the border.

Sen. Cory A. Booker, New Jersey Democrat, last week went into Mexico to help escort five female foreigners into the United States, according to Fox News. He crossed the El Paso, Texas, port of entry into Ciudad Juarez with several immigrant-rights attorneys to help the women get admitted into the U.S. after they had been sent back to Mexico.

It’s becoming a popular political stunt. In his first international trip as a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, former Rep. Robert “Beto” O’Rourke of Texas also traveled to Ciudad Juarez to meet what his campaign called “individuals and families directly impacted by Donald Trump’s cruel and inhumane policies,” The Associated Press reported.

This is why Democrats will lose in 2020..

Ross Perot, a Morning Star of Trumpism

His folksy-billionaire style and working-man sensibility provided a model for Gingrich, Trump, and others.
Ross Perot died today, and there is no doubt that he changed the course of modern American history. In 1991, at the end of the Gulf War, President George H. W. Bush had stratospheric approval ratings and seemed a shoo-in for reelection. Perot had opposed the Iraq War, and his subsequent run for the presidency contributed heavily to Bush’s defeat.

Like Perot, President Trump is also a billionaire populist and a trade protectionist. Trump appeals to the same secular, nationalist voters that were Perot’s base. But Trump also appealed to and made pacts with all the factions of the Republican party. Of its billionaire populists, America chose the reality-TV show star and New York real-estate figure over the Texas naval veteran and entrepreneur.

Perot’s death was greeted with well-wishing and statements of admiration from his former political rivals. In his final public interview, Perot was asked to sum up his legacy. He replied “Texas born. Texas bred. When I die, I’ll be Texas dead. Ha!”
https://tinyurl.com/y3lfy962

The final Political Act by Ross Perot was to make a mega substantial donation to President Trump's re-election campaign..

RIP Ross Perot and thank you for your support of President Trump and America...

Rather than build bridges as he was supposed to do, he’s burned them.

Sir Kim’s recklessness has thus caused enormous damage to Britain’s relationship with the United States, just when so many, led by the Queen, had worked so hard with the state visit to strengthen it.

President Trump, who has repeatedly promised a ‘great new trade deal’ with Britain after it leaves the European Union, now feels utterly betrayed, and if I were him, I would feel exactly the same way.

Sir Kim’s betrayed his own country too with his rank stupidity.

Sir Kim’s betrayed his own country too with his rank stupidity.

This is all the Democrats are left with: a group of radical nonentities that constitute a monotone Götterdämmerung: the self-immolation not only of the America of Norman Rockwell and Walt Disney, but also of Bill Clinton and even of candidate Barack Obama.

The Democrat Party has LEFT the building!!

Tired, Irrelevant Democratic Candidates Point To Trump Reelection

It is easier to notice the drift of American political public opinion after being away from it in England for six weeks. It is obvious that President Trump is steadily gaining ground. The human wave of kooks and retreads seeking the Democratic nomination have been shooting furiously inside their 360-degree firing squad and some of the 1 percent group will have to be carried out soon to make it a tighter circle. (The most irritating loudmouth of all of them, Representative Eric Swallwell of California, had the honor of being the first to fold on Monday.)

The Democrats’ major problems are that almost all the president’s policies are working. The collapse of the Russian collusion fraud has created an eerie silence as the country awaits possible indictments of the Democrats responsible for that outrage; and the Democrats themselves are completely unfeasible.

All the economic news is positive: 83 percent of taxpayers have had their taxes reduced and those who have not are the citizens of chronic Democratic states where the state governments have been so incompetent they have laid on higher state income taxes that the administration no longer will deduct from federal taxes. Why should the residents of other states pay for the profligacy and incompetence of the Andrew Cuomos and Jerry Browns of the big blue states? One hundred percent of taxpayers in states where Trump has a reasonable chance to win have lower taxes. There are now more than 1.5 million additional Americans jobs to be filled than there are unemployed people.

Just six weeks ago, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) was promising a blizzard of subpoenas to “get to the bottom of” what Special Counsel Robert Mueller and others had spent years investigating. (If Mueller testifies before Nadler’s committee, it will be the greatest administration self-inflicted wound since the Nixon tapes.) Six weeks ago, there were still echoes of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s claim that the crisis at the border was phony and manufactured as well as war-cries demanding the courts stop Trump’s construction of his southern border wall. While I was overseas, the House “reluctantly” approved the spending on the wall.
https://amgreatness.com/2019/07/09/tired-irrelevant-democratic-candidates-point-to-trump-reelection/

Once again, as I am wont to do, I will point out that President Trump is WRONG!!!

I am decidedly NOT tired of WINNING!!

Just as ya'all are not tired of WHINNING...

Ya see what I did there!? :D

Let’s start with the Democratic primary for president, where Kamala Harris took us on a head-spinning journey that began with her flogging of former Vice President Joe Biden. At the first primary debate, Harris assailed Biden for opposing federally mandated busing, an extremely unpopular policy among people of all races and political parties. Debate viewers were left to believe that Harris — who emotionally attributed busing to her getting a quality education — supported the federal mandates.

A few days later, however, Harris backed away from federal mandates and instead took much the same position as Biden — that states and school districts should make decisions.

Biden and Harris fight shows deep divide
This flip was on top of her Medicare for All flop, wherein she said on the stage that she would eliminate all private insurance and then the next day said she wouldn’t. Harris appears to get caught up in moments; she tells liberal debate audiences what they want to hear before her advisers swoop in with polling data that shows the political reality of her positions. This is a dangerous trait in a president; the office frequently demands its occupants to make decisions that run afoul of popular passions.

I have to admit, Liz.. I am very surprised.. I thought you would lay into Harris for her flip flop.. In essence, Harris admitted that Joe Biden was RIGHT in his busing position...

Yet you gave her a pass..

Good on you.. That makes you a better person...

***URGENT NEWS FLASH***

CRIMINAL BREAKS INTO AOC'S HOUSE!!!

After a long day at the resistance, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez comes home to find me sitting completely alone and uninvited at her kitchen table.

While I wait, I do not raid her fridge for a sustainable snack of a few celery sticks with spicy hummus. And I suppress the urge to turn on her garbage disposal to see if it’s as terrifying as she found it to be in that video she posted awhile back.

In this completely made-up scenario, I am simply in her home illegally. She knows this as she comes in. On my blue blazer I’ve pinned a name tag that says, “Hello my name is John. Hate Has No Home Here”

It doesn’t have to be AOC’s home. You might fashion your own nightmare dream sequence and put yourself in Bernie Sanders’ home, or Joe Biden’s or Kamala Harris’. Or the home of any of the other Democratic presidential candidates who raised their hands promising taxpayer-subsidized health care to those who crossed the border illegally, and also raised their hands supporting the decriminalization of illegal crossing, thus endorsing de facto open borders.

So, no criminal penalty for crossing. And if you make it here, you get free stuff at taxpayer expense. Sounds like a great deal to me.

Does it apply to the kitchen table?

“Who ARE you,” asks AOC. “WHY are you HERE? Do you belong in my house?”

These are simple, reasonable questions any homeowner might ask of a stranger at her or his kitchen table.

So why can’t Americans ask it of people in our country? Why can’t we ask people in this country — on the 2020 census — if they are citizens of the United States?

But if you dare ask it, or support the idea that it’s a reasonable question, you’ll be denounced by the Democratic left as a racist, a tool of Trump, and you’ll be exiled for your sins.
https://www.chicagotribune.com/columns/john-kass/ct-census-citizenship-question-kass-20190710-xzofchbyf5atpmupxla6bvd2aq-story.html

Imagine you and your family come home from a long vacation and find an entire family living in your home, eating your food, using your credit cards and money, playing with your stuff...

You call the cops and the cops say, "Nothing we can do.. They made it into your home so they now have the right to stay.. That's Democrat Law now.. You should have secured your borders better..."

THAT is the scenario that Democrats want America to be..

Of course, no reasonable or rational person would accept such a scenario...

So, let’s be clear: Every country that enjoys democratic governance today owes its birth of freedom to our Founding Fathers and the continued existence of their democracy to the US military.

Today, for all its flaws, America remains the freest, most innovative, most prosperous country in the history of the world. We invented the lightbulb and the iPhone. We put a man on the moon and a rover on Mars. We are a nation of unparalleled military power and unlimited opportunity. There’s a reason we have a crisis on our southern border; millions want to come here so that they can share in the abundance of American prosperity.

The men and women who flew those fighters and bombers over the Mall last week make it all possible. They provide the critical foundation of peace and security upon which our freedom, and the freedom of all the world’s democracies, are built.

Maybe Luxembourg scores better on some measures, but no one is counting on Luxembourg to secure the peace of the world. Trump was right to shine a spotlight on our men and women in uniform and to remind those who have lost sight of it that the United States isn’t simply the greatest nation on Earth; we are indispensable. Without us, the world would be mired in the darkness of totalitarianism rather than the light of liberty.

That is better than “just OK.”

Any American who claims that the US is just "ok" has no right to call themselves an American...

The reason that “a lot of countries have freedoms” today is because our Founding Fathers pioneered the principle of popular sovereignty, where governments answer to the people. At the time of our founding, the rest of the world was ruled by monarchs. Our founders established the first country in human history that was built not only on blood and soil, but on an idea — the idea of human liberty.

For most of our history, American democracy was a global outlier. In 1938, on the eve of World War II, there were just 17 democracies. It was not until 1998 — just two decades ago — that there were more democracies than autocracies.

That dramatic explosion of freedom didn’t just happen. It was the direct result of the rise of the United States as a global superpower. The US-powered victory over Nazi tyranny in World War II and our triumph over Soviet tyranny in the Cold War defeated the hateful ideologies of fascism and communism and unleashed a global wave of freedom.

Today, 4.1 billion people live in democracies. (Of those who don’t, four out of five live in China.) The unprecedented expansion of liberty has produced unprecedented prosperity.

The left no longer even has a clue as to what makes America great

Maybe President Trump was right that we needed a “Salute to America” last week, because some Americans have lost sight of the greatness of our country. Case in point: To mark Independence Day, the New York Times posted a video op-ed challenging what it called the “mythology” of American greatness. “America may once have been the greatest,” the video declares, “but today, America, we’re just OK.”

The video is like a caricature of how conservatives think the left sees America — except it isn’t a caricature; it’s real. It’s a straw man come to life. As evidence we’re just OK, the video cites statistics showing that other developed countries, such as Luxembourg, Sweden and Norway, have lower poverty rates or better education and health care outcomes than we do. As for our “kick-ass democracy,” the Times says, it’s not that big a deal because “a lot of countries have freedoms.”

Democrats simply don't get it anymore..

They cannot be trusted to do what's in the best interests of the country regardless of any other considerations..

That is why they will continue to lose elections..

The irony is that the hyper-focus on people’s backgrounds is a feature of the left, not the right. Democrats and progressives are the ones who push for hyphenation and separation according to ethnic and sexual identities, while conservatives generally try to see people as individuals.

Ultimately, it’s both sad and frightening that Omar and these young women, for whom America has been a lifeline, can’t see that social justice culture and identity politics, which have seeped into the mainstream, have betrayed them and turned what should have been to them a great blessing—a home in America—into a curse.

President Trump graciously gave Democrats in Congress time to come up with something..

Democrats failed..

ICE deportation raids set to being Sunday after Trump delay, report says

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are preparing to conduct raids beginning Sunday to arrest thousands of illegal immigrants across the U.S. just weeks after President Trump announced that he was delaying the operation.

The ICE agents will target at least 2,000 immigrants whose deportations have already been ordered, a New York Times report said, citing one former and two current Department of Homeland Security officials.

Neither the White House nor ICE immediately responded to emails from Fox News seeking comment. An ICE spokesman declined to comment to the Times to ensure the safety of the department's agents.

"When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm's distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood. But the persistent singling out . . . it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful . . . the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color."
-Occasional Cortex

Ahh... So now NANCY PELOSI is a racist..... :eyeroll:

Can't wait to see Pelosi's response to such a broadside accusation.. :D

I think it's time for a quote...

"We are able to have differing opinions on how we best solve problems without having to resort to name calling and insults."

Remind me again how the Democrat Party is SOOOOO United going into the primary season??

Pelosi's isolation gambit leaves four liberals struggling

WASHINGTON - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi admonished Democrats for personally attacking one another, warning in a closed-door meeting Wednesday that the party's fracturing was jeopardizing its majority.

Without naming names, her target was clear: the four liberal freshmen known as "the Squad."

"You got a complaint? You come and talk to me about it. But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just OK," Pelosi, D-Calif., told Democrats.

But "the Squad" - Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts - is convinced it is Pelosi who is being the bully.

The four are struggling with the speaker's moves to isolate them in recent weeks, according to interviews with the lawmakers, congressional aides and allies. Pelosi has made at least half-dozen remarks dismissing the group or their far-left proposals on the environment and health care. More recently she scorned their lonely opposition to the party's emergency border bill last month.
https://www.greenwichtime.com/news/article/Regrets-is-not-what-I-do-Pelosi-defends-her-14085447.php

I seem to have forgotten, what with all the FACTS to the contrary... :D

Love the inter-Party brawls.. Popcorn worthy.. :D
