I know Democrats didn't have the stones to pursue contempt charges.. :D

And all they got was information that was already available to them.. :D

Once again, Democrats get played..

My prediction was that BS would have a much tougher challenge this time due to the number of competitors and the range of positions they represent. That, combined with his/his team's approach of being aggressively nasty toward everyone-not-in-Bernie's-camp spells failure.

"being aggressively nasty toward everyone-not-in-camp"

Sounds like it's an inherently DEMOCRAT Party problem. :D

I don't know how many people are being paid 71,000 dollars a year to pick up poop, but wouldn't the money (and even a little more money if needed) be better spent providing bathrooms that are available to keep the poop they are picking up and the piss that they are not picking up off the streets to begin with, which is another reason you may be pointing this out besides just pointing flaws in the Dems?

San Francisco has some of the most medieval building laws in the country..

A low income house costs along the lines of 650 THOUSAND dollars to build...

The cost of building bathrooms and their associative upkeep would likely far exceed the cost of hiring a poop patrol...

My point is, however, the FACT that San Francisco NEEDS a poop patrol is indicative of the failure of Democrat governance..

This is about right: https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2019-06-10/bernie-sanders-might-not-be-a-viable-2020-contender

Head & sub: Is Bernie Sanders Finished?

Democrats like him. They just show no signs of wanting to vote for him this time around.

They just probably don’t want to vote for him. What happened to the 43% of the vote he received in primaries and caucuses in 2016? Only a fraction of those votes came from dedicated Sanders fans – that is, people who really thought he should be president. Some of those voters wanted to push the party in a more liberal direction. Some thought they could send Hillary Clinton a message. Some just disliked Clinton. In short, it was clear at the time that a lot of Sanders votes were protest votes, and everything so far in 2020 confirms that he simply doesn’t have that many dedicated supporters.

It’s worth noting, too, that Sanders really hasn’t expanded his support among party actors. He’s in sixth place in endorsements so far. At least this time around he has Vermont’s politicians in his corner, but he has the backing of only a single member of Congress from the rest of the U.S.

I think when it comes to the most liberal voters, Noah Berlatsky has it right: “There’s nothing wrong with Sanders. It’s just becoming increasingly clear that, for the 2020 primary electorate, there isn’t anything overwhelmingly right with him either.” Is it possible for Sanders to win? Sure. Is he among the 10 most likely nominees? I don’t think so.

BS (I think) gambled he could pull a plurality - that he would win by getting a bigger percentage than anyone else in a fractured field. Then Dems would line up behind him coz he was nominee and Dems want DJT gone. Therefore he didn't feel any strong need to reach out to people who are still angry at him over 2016 - he figured they'd hold their noses and vote for him.

I would have (or will). But I don't think I'll have to.

President Trump on Sunday called the New York Times “The Enemy of the People!” for reporting that a deal Mexico worked out with the administration that allowed him to pull back on a new round of tariffs on Mexican imports had been negotiated months ago.

?”Another false report in the Failing @nytimes. We have been trying to get some of these Border Actions for a long time, as have other administrations, but were not able to get them, or get them in full, until our signed agreement with Mexico?,” the president wrote on Twitter.

Trump continued that Mexico for years had not been cooperative in talks about the border but he said he spoke to President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and believes he wants to “get the job properly done.”
https://nypost.com/2019/06/09/trump-blasts-new-york-times-over-report-on-mexico-deal/

So much for the claim that Mexico agreed to these provisions a long time ago..

The US have been pushing Mexico to agree to these terms for a long time..

But it took President Trump's threat of tariffs for Mexico to FINALLY actually agree to the terms..

Once again Balthy tries a bullshit claim that is easily proven false..

There is so much human waste on the streets of San Francisco the city formed a “poop patrol” where workers are paid $71,000 a year, about same as the average schoolteacher.

Democrat governance at work..

The people who hold the future of this country in their hands are paid the same wage as those who roam the city picking up other people's shit..

:eyeroll:

yea... Let's elect more Democrats to national office.. What could go wrong??

It’s true — San Francisco is a mess. And everyone knows it

ooner or later, every San Franciscan is going to have to answer this question: Why is the best city in the world such a mess?

The Washington Post is the latest to be on San Francisco’s case. It was once the Paris of the West. Now it’s “Too homogenous, too expensive, too tech, too millennial, too white, too elite, too bro.”

Like a true San Franciscan, I read every word. Wincing. The piece is pretty much true. Everybody’s Favorite City is in big trouble.

And everyone knows it. I heard from a woman who was one of the neighbors when I lived on 21st Avenue, years ago. She was a kid then and played with my daughters on the sidewalk — jump rope, games like that. “This is not the city I grew up in,” she wrote. “I will never come back.”

Oh really..???

Biden mocked by Dems for light travel schedule, Obama name-dropping: ‘This is a joke, right?’

Joe Biden found himself mocked over the weekend for his corny effort to tie himself to former President Barack Obama, while also coming under criticism from other presidential candidates for skipping the biggest Iowa campaign event of the cycle so far.

On Saturday, the former vice president marked “Best Friends Day” by posting a tweet memorializing his bond with Obama. He shared a picture of an interlocking friendship bracelet with both their names, under the caption: “Happy #BestFriendsDay to my friend, @BarackObama.”

Some Democrats were baffled. David Axelrod, Obama’s former senior adviser, responded, “This is a joke, right?”

Did u know the state of New Mexico gives all illegals emergency welfare, no process like Americans go through. Handed an EBT Loaded with $1000, + $200 per child paid every month until their court date 5-6 years later. The Governor @GovMLG has a crisis and it’s costing Americans

Would like to see a fact check on this..

But, of course, the liberal MSM doesn't want Americans to know the facts... Unless they serve the Leftist agenda..

It's funny..

If ya'all (NEN) spent a QUARTER of the time actually addressing the facts and reality as ya'all spend analyzing me personally...????

Well, you might find ya'all don't get yer asses kicked so much..

But it's understandable ya'all (NEN) don't... I mean, facts are facts and reality is reality and they can't be argued with...

Hence, then over-abundant near hysterical attention ya'all pay to me, personally.. :D

I get it.. Ya'all got a busted flush to my 5-Of-A-Kind... Hard to compete.. :D

NYpoet-148

Most of the Comment Section Regulars make well reasoned arguments and avoid rhetorical trickery. I may disagree with their conclusions, but I respect them. I would characterize you and Liz as blunt, not pompous. I am pretty blunt myself. Or pompous if you prefer. I think Kick and I have very similar sensibilities (volatility?).

I am not willing to wade thru a thicket of comment blather generated by a few trolls and cranks. Life is short and scrolling takes a lot of time.

Unmoderated or badly moderated comment sections get pointless and ugly. The old Huffpo is a cautionary example. YouTube comments are even worse....I never read them since read like 8 year olds talk. I dumped Twitter after about a week. We live an age of misinformation. The only defense is to avoid the worst neighborhoods.

I can see how CW benefits from his hands off poliicy. It's audience feedback. I don't need to watch the sausage getting made. I don't consider debate a sport. So I block a few people who waste my time. At peak it is 3 people, but it's usually just one who is like having a goose on your lawn.

Only a third of Independents support impeaching President Trump..

If the Democrats go ahead with impeachment, which is likely inevitable, 2/3rds of Independents will vote Trump is 2020...

Trump will win in a landslide..

So, yes.. Democrats.. By all means.. IMPEACH...

The Media Press Dems for Impeachment Porn

House Democrats dither while the press demands clicks and eyeballs.

On a sunny afternoon in 2010 a man stepped through the window of his San Francisco apartment onto a ledge, looked at the street below, and saw a cheering crowd taking cell phone videos while yelling: “Jump! Jump! Jump!” His death was collecting clicks on the web within seconds. This unsettling episode provides a grisly metaphorical glimpse at the motivation of the media as they continue to peddle impeachment. They know it would be political suicide for the Democrats because only a minority of voters supports removing the President, yet they crave the countless clicks and eyeballs the circus would inevitably produce.

But the Democratic leadership, their antipathy for the President notwithstanding, is loath to take the leap just to provide impeachment porn for the media. Consequently, even as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi throws red meat to the far left by saying she wants to see Trump in prison, she knows the majority of House Democrats regard a mere impeachment inquiry as very risky. The number in favor of this course is about a fourth of their 235-member caucus. Thus, when Pelosi peers down at the ravening crowd of journalists yelling “jump,” she knows the media want that circus far more than do the Democrats themselves.
https://spectator.org/the-media-press-dems-for-impeachment-porn/

Pelosi (and apparently ya'all here who don't support impeachment) know that Impeachment would be a HUGE win for President Trump...

But the chorus of demands is beginning to crescendo... I am betting that Pelosi (and ya'all) won't be able to hold out much longer..

Dumbocrats and Trump/America haters *NEED* their impeachment porn...

Pelosi won't hold out much longer... :D

For those who claim that Pennsylvania is going to go back to blue???

SCRANTON COUNCIL PRESIDENT: DEMOCRATS ARE ON TRACK TO LOSE PENNSYLVANIA — AGAIN

In 1932, Franklin D. Roosevelt and other Democrats swept into power in a landslide largely because they championed working class issues. Yet in 2016, fortunes weren’t so good for Roosevelt’s party, as Republican Donald Trump won a historically high number of working-class and pro-labor voters, propelling him to the presidency.

I saw this shift on the ground here in Pennsylvania, a state which hadn’t voted Republican in decades, yet went for Mr. Trump in 2016.

Lackawanna County (where I serve as president of Scranton City Council) is a good case study in what happened. President Obama won it with more than 63 percent in 2012, yet Hillary Clinton got barely 50 percent. The reason? Donald Trump focused on the issues that matter to this community, such as the loss of manufacturing jobs. Many people felt ignored by Mrs. Clinton – including me, a Democrat that voted for Donald Trump.

For Democrats to win over voters like me, they need to return to their roots and, as many top labor unions are urging, restore the party’s focus to kitchen table economics and the key issues that affect so many working-class Americans.

The FACTS say otherwise... :D

The 2020 News Cycle Will Look Very Different

The Russia collusion narrative and associated Robert Mueller hysteria are all but over.

Mueller’s obstruction of justice narrative involving the non-crime of collusion is ending, too.

Donald Trump’s tax-return psychodrama is going the way of the Emoluments Clause, the Logan Act, the 25th Amendment and the comical in-house coup attempt of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

What takes the place of Mueller and “the noose is tightening” bombshells? Perhaps the new narratives involving Inspector General Michael Horowitz and FISA abuse, or Attorney General William Barr’s investigation into the origins of the Russia collusion probe—far quieter, far more serious.

The media for three years obsessed over a false “Trump did it” story. But in the next 17 months, the storyline may change from the myth of the “walls are closing in” on the president to the reality that Obama-era officials committed serial felonies—from perjury and lying to federal officials, to leaking classified documents, spying illegally on a political campaign, deceiving a FISA court, and obstructing justice.
https://amgreatness.com/2019/06/09/new-narratives-in-2020/

As I said, it's going to be a wild ride in the run up to Nov 2020...

Oh sure.. We'll hear Dumbocrats impotently bleat about Russia Collusion and obstruction, even though those issues are settled.. They'll whine and cry and stamp their feet and hold their breath because they can't get anyone to testify and they can't get President Trump's tax returns and they can't get Grand Jury minutes denied to Dumbocrats by a law created by... you guessed it.. DUMBOCRATS!!

But what will drown out the impotent bleating and whining is the very real and very factual narrative of the incompetence and malfeasance and outright criminality of Odumbo and his band of merry miscreants..

By the time Nov 2020 rolls around, Dumbocrats will be lucky to be elected county dog catcher......

It's gonna be a wild ride.. better hold on tight.. :D

Constitutional Oversight? Or Unconstitutional Overreach?

Ronald Reagan often said, “The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so.”

That seems to be the case — in spades — when it comes to their own importance. Unfortunately, as I’ve pointed out before, conservatives often accept liberal untruths without the proper level of scrutiny and skepticism.

Witness the current “accepted truth” that Congress has constitutional authority to exercise “oversight” on President Trump and his administration. Everyone says it and, in fact, the courts have granted Congress such oversight powers, but they are not found in the Constitution.

The fact of the matter is that under our constitutional system of checks and balances, the presidency has a certain independence from the Congress, just as Congress has a certain amount of independence from the president. Presidential independence is usually called executive privilege.

In the current confrontation, Congress has issued numerous subpoenas to either force testimony from executive office employees (including the president’s former lawyer Don McGahn) or to obtain documents such as the private tax returns of citizen Donald Trump or the underlying evidence that Special Counsel Mueller obtained in his two-year investigation. There is substantial reason to believe that most if not all of those subpoenas violate executive privilege, yet Democrats have publicly declared that the president’s legal defense of his privacy and his presidency amounts to a coverup.

This is the Democrat problem in spades..

They are NOT executing legitimate oversight..

They are on a witch hunt.. President Trump and the American people tolerated it ONCE with the Mueller Witch Hunt that produced absolutely NO witches.. Oh sure.. It bagged a couple ogres and some elfs and some snarks and grumkins.. But not a SINGLE witch was discovered, despite all the time in the world, an UNLIMITED expense account and a team of die-hard Hillary sycohpant Dumbocrats who had a HUGE incentive to find something.. ANYTHING...

And they came up empty...

NO EVIDENCE to support Russia collusion..

And only process crimes to support obstruction.. Crimes that were CAUSED by the investigation.. Not any criminal activity in and of itself...

So, basically Dumbocrats want to start ANOTHER witch hunt..

And President Trump and patriotic Americans are saying ENOUGH..

Ya'all had yer shot and you couldn't find squat.. No more..

To complete the progressive fetish, the reason given for this push for federal funding is racism. “Poor women, especially women of color” are unable to afford a procedure Planned Parenthood says can cost as little as $350, so it’s racist. Condoms, birth control pills, and the morning after pill are significantly cheaper, and free in many cases, yet somehow these “poor women of color” somehow can’t afford that either. Could Democrats have a more condescending, racist attitude?

Of course they can afford it, some simply choose not to. They can decide to have sex but not be responsible? Same goes for the men. They’re quite capable of obtaining any or all of these options too. If you can’t, or won’t, why bother when the government is there to offer to “clean up” for your mistakes?

Abortion is a much more complicated issue than I can lay out here, and so are all the other ways in which the political left offers absolution from responsibility. But there is a constant: If you remove consequences from an action you will get more of it. As drug use has been legalized or decriminalized, the streets of liberal cities have devolved into minefields of needles and human feces.

Remove the threat of enforcement of immigration laws and you get ever-growing waves of illegal aliens. Remove punishment for states and localities defying federal immigration laws and you get sanctuaries from coast to coast. Remove the repercussions of bad life choices and you get more people looking to the government to absolve them of everything else.

Insulation from consequences perverts the soul. The Democratic Party is offering blanket absolution; If your life is not what you think it should be, it’s not a result of the choices you’ve made or actions you’ve taken, it’s the system that’s rigged against you. But don’t worry, the people in positions of power who’ve created the system are there to bless you with promises of more -- only this time it’ll work.

The fact remains that, with very rare exceptions, if people want to point the finger of blame at the cause of most of their hardships and problems then they need only find the nearest reflective surface. No amount of pandering, flip-flopping, taxpayer money, or political promises is ever going to change that.

This hits the nail on the head..

The entirety of the Democrat Party platform is evading responsibility..

There are no adverse consequences for one's actions..

Nothing is ever the fault of the individual.. It's always the system..

Democrats can "fix" it... But if we allow Democrats to try, then the US becomes Venezuela.... :^/

'GAY' HATE VANDALIZES CHURCH, THREATENS EVEN MORE VIOLENCE
Note on bricks thrown through window: 'This is just a sample of what we will do'

An unknown vandal or vandals threw chunks of concrete bricks through the school’s entryway with a message protesting the banquet, which was planned by Americans for Truth about Homosexuality, or AFTAH, to honor pro-family activist and author of “The Pink Swastika,” Dr. Scott Lively.

Upon the concrete bricks were written the words “Shut down Lively,” and the vandals included a note theatening more violence if the church and school didn’t stop hosting such “homophobic” guests.

“This is just a sample of what we will do if you don’t shut down Scott Lively and AFTAH,” the note reads. “Fuck Scott Lively. Quit the homophobic shit!”
https://www.wnd.com/2011/10/356361/#7UTKf4tiYiFDGuBd.99

Another example of "peace" and "harmony" and "tolerance" of the gay community...

There are many many MANY other examples..

So, please.. Cut the bullshit about the peace and harmony of the Gay Pride Flag.. It's a symbol of bigotry... Pure and simple..

No different than how ya'all view the Confederate Flag...

Gay Activists Threaten Violence

Is the culture war going to turn into a shooting war?

No one knows. But in light of what some pro-family advocates have experienced lately, the question cannot be dismissed.

A gay activist recently used the Internet to suggest that a sniper target Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth (AFT), Illinois. LaBarbera’s home address was published on a lesbian blog, Pam’s House Blend, in January. A homosexual militant in South Dakota posted this message with it:

“It’s [LaBarbera’s home] across from a park in an area with cul de sacs … Snipers take note.”

The flag is the VERY symbol of DIVERSITY and INCLUSION because it was DESIGNED that way. The fact that it includes ALL the colors of the RAINBOW means it was to represent the beauty, the best, the diversity, of EVERYONE. Each color in fact specifically stands for and has its own meaning, including harmony, peace, and spiritual healing.

Yea...

Think of all the crimes that Hillary and Obama are guilty of..

After all, there was NO EVIDENCE that they were innocent, so obviously they are guilty of ALL of it.

Democrats are in love with abortion. Everyone has their fetishes. For them, it is the termination of human life in the womb. They celebrate it, they cheer it, and now they want you to pay for it.

Since 1976, the Hyde Amendment blocked federal tax dollars from paying for abortions. It was never really controversial, while the parties disagreed on the issue of abortion, majorities on both sides agreed that forcing people with religious objections to the ending of a child’s life was not only wrong but immoral. Anyone so inclined is free to donate as much as they want to abortion providers, but forcing those with the First Amendment protected freedom of religion to pay for something in direct conflict with their faith was a bridge too far, even for Democrats. Now doing just that is a litmus test.

Joe Biden swore his support for the Hyde Amendment was based on his deeply held Catholic faith. Always pro-abortion, the handsy former Vice President drew the line at forcing others to fund it. The core principle of his was tossed aside this week to appease the worshipers of his new religion.
https://townhall.com/columnists/derekhunter/2019/06/09/democrats-and-the-death-of-responsibility-n2547805

Remember when Democrats' mantra on abortion was "safe, legal and rare"??

Now they shout about their abortions from the rooftops! They are so proud of their abortions, they made a hash tag to celebrate their abortions.. :^/

How unbelievably sad that they are PROUD of killing babies..

That alone makes the Democrat Party unworthy of patronage..

President Donald Trump has improved relations with every one of America’s allies.

You will not learn that from reading the news. The prevailing dogma in the mainstream media reflects the Democratic Party’s revisionist propaganda, which obscures the fact that Barack Obama disrupted relations with our allies in an effort to appease Russia, Iran, and other enemies.

But search the world, and you will not find any examples of allies with whom Trump has made relations worse.

Do not rely on opinion polls. The public perception of the United States abroad is shaped by CNN and the New York Times, the major sources of American news overseas; and is also guided by foreign media and cultural elites, who are vehemently anti-Republican, if not also anti-American.

Look, instead, at the relationships between governments.

Start with Israel, where Obama made a deliberate effort to create “distance” between our government and theirs. Today Donald Trump is a hero to Israelis for affirming their sovereignty in Jerusalem and the Golan Heights. Israel’s Arab neighbors, including our Saudi allies, are also grateful for Trump’s backing against Iran.

Or take Japan, where President Trump concluded a very successful visit last week. To be sure, there are differences between the two countries on issues like North Korea and trade. Yet President Trump and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe have forged a close friendship.

Trump drove a hard bargain on trade with South Korea, but reached an agreement that benefited both nations, and has done more than any U.S. president since Eisenhower to bring peace to the peninsula. He has won praise from the Philippines for standing up to China, and from India for his willingness to cut off aid to Pakistan due to the latter’s support for radical Islamic terror groups.

In Canada, Trump has feuded with Justin Trudeau — but also forged the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement on trade. And Trump has found new allies in a Latin America that is rejecting the left — in Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, and elsewhere.

In Europe, President Trump has restored our close bonds with the former communist nations — ties that Obama strained when he abandoned missile defense and allowed Russia to invade Ukraine. He has succeeded in increasing member nations’ contributions to NATO. In Britain, Italy, and elsewhere, Trump has made common cause with nations that are embracing the principle of national sovereignty.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html

In less than 2 weeks President Trump's approval rating jumped almost 2 full points..

So much for Neil's claim that public opinion favors impeachment of President Trump..

It's a Trump/America hater's wet dream.. Nothing more..

A report showing state Medicaid officials spent $63,000 giving convicted sex offenders erectile-dysfunction drugs prompts an NYPD detective to ask: “What’s next? Giving bullets to murderers? Pass keys to car thieves?”

Shhh, don’t give them any more ideas.

Moreover, the endless war against Trump won’t be a one-off. Some of his supporters can be expected to retaliate in kind the next time there is a Democrat in the White House.

Would it be surprising if angry Republicans also start to boycott the inauguration and the State of the Union? If the GOP holds one or both houses, investigations of the new president’s past and family would be almost guaranteed from day one. After all, turnabout would be fair play.

Keep it going and soon enough impeachment — and prison — could become political tools routinely used by both parties to overturn elections. My fear is that it would take another civil war to stop the escalating cycle.

If Pelosi’s friends are right that she is not a crazy, she needs to act like it. If she believes impeachment is wrong for the country as well as her party, she must say it clearly and stop trying to have it both ways.

She could also set an example of doing her day job by dealing with border problems and other pressing national issues.

Otherwise, she is playing with a fire that will prove easy to start and impossible to stop.

Democrats are going to end up causing a shooting civil war if they continue on this course of action..

And, since the Left is ideologically opposed to gun ownership, it's going to be a slaughter...

Nancy Pelosi needs to stop her endless war against Trump

Chalk this one up to “everything is relative.” Someone who admires Nancy Pelosi and talks to her regularly assures me that, “She’s not one of the crazies.”

The praise, such as it was, aimed to persuade me that the Speaker is not off the rails like the Democratic lynch mob forming in the House.

That’s good to hear, but then why does Pelosi keep talking as if she’s in a banana republic? Doesn’t she realize she’s playing a dangerous game guaranteed to tear America further apart and spark a tit-for-tat escalation?

Twice in recent weeks she jacked up the temperature on the crazies’ obsession with impeaching President Trump. First she accused him of engaging in a criminal “coverup” and then said she didn’t favor impeachment, she favored putting Trump “in prison.”

In neither case did Pelosi detail what crimes the president of the United States committed that constituted a coverup or would be worthy of prison. It’s also significant that she made both comments after the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report that found no collusion and offered no conclusion on obstruction, with the attorney general ruling that there was no obstruction.

So what the hell is she talking about?

The explanation makes sense only in the bizarro world of far-left politics in the age of Trump.
https://nypost.com/2019/06/08/nancy-pelosi-needs-to-stop-her-endless-war-against-trump/

The fact that you Democrats are a thousand times more hysterical against President Trump than the Republicans were against Obama should cause ya'all pause...

But Hyper Hysterical President Trump Derangement Syndrome apparently masks the very concept of shame...

In North Carolina, there was an accidental discharge of a firearm that resulted in death..

That's sad... But what's interesting is that they determined the weapon was "registered" to the woman who died..

So, apparently, there already IS gun registration, just like ya'all have wanted...

And did it help in preventing this tragedy??

No, it did not..

Gun registration does NOTHING to stop or help stop gun violence...

It certainly would do nothing to stop Crowd Based Mass Shootings, which is the ONLY time we hear anything about anti-gun laws from Demcorats..

So, once again, I challenge ANY of you to come up with a gun law that will prevent or help prevent Crowd Based Mass Shootings and that is allowable under the 2nd Amendment...

Take your time.. I'll be here all day... :D

Fine.. President Trump should just start building bridges.. From the border to Los Angeles and San Francisco and Sacramento.. But leave San Diego out of it...

JL,

i do. in 2016 there were nearly thirty thousand reports of housing discrimination..

Of course the report says that.. It was an Obama administration...

I wouldn't believe ANYTHING an Obama official would say.. ESPECIALLY in regards to racism..

"If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon"

"The cops acted stupidly"

Any report you have starts from the point that there is racism and skews any "facts" to "prove" the pre-determined point. There are a myriad of reasons why those things happened. Racism is only a possibility..

OK, you can disregard this.. :D

I made the error of assuming you were talking about an Obama Administration report...

Once I determined it was an NGO report, I took a look at it..

Having conceded my error, my original estimate stands..

There were 28,181 reported complaints of
housing discrimination in 2016. Of these,
private fair housing organizations were
responsible for addressing 70 percent, the
lion’s share of all housing discrimination
complaints nationwide.

• 55 percent of these complaints involved
discrimination on the basis of disability,
followed by 19.6 percent based on racial
discrimination and 8.5 percent based on
discrimination against families with kids.

• 91.5 percent of all acts of housing
discrimination reported in 2016 occurred
during rental transactions.

From these facts, the obvious conclusion is that these acts of bias were based on greed and not on discrimination, racism or bigotry...

They actually PROVE my point that, as is often the case, discrimination, racism or bigotry is assigned even though it's clear that other factors are in play..

My apologies for my original error.. I should know better... :D

if you're going to go to the bother of blocking one person, why go halfway? liz and i are certainly pompous, kick is mean-spirited, don is nothing if not repetitious, and i think CRS covers the rest of those, so why not just block everybody?

To be fair to Stig, he HAS mentioned in passing that he has blocked DH... But Don is so 3rd Party oriented, I doubt he could be considered a Democrat in the context that ya'all are.... :D

So my theory that Stig doesn't block the others because the Party ideology is the same still holds water...

I block you on my windows system because I find you an ignorant, mean spirited, pompus, bigoted and repetitious old sophist not worth my time. But, the windows machine has crashed and I'm making do with an old tablet until I sort out the problem. No blocking capabilty on the glass keyboard. I do turn off the filter on the PC every now and then for yucks. So people who study and/or appreciate great lterature are all left wing liberal morons? Another one of your sweeping rhetorical generalizations. I think that's about as much exercise as must you ever get these days.

So, what you are saying is you don't have the self-control to NOT respond to me on your own..

Am I THAT far under your skin?? :D

Let's face reality here, my friend.. I argue and debate my position so well that you can't help but respond... Like Neil, you HAVE to take me down because I am so damn good at what I do...

And you don't like getting your ass kicked on a daily basis, so you have to resort to artificial means to prevent it from happening..

That's what is REALLY what's going on here.. :D

As to my traits.. As JL points out, many of the traits you apply to me are shared by others..

Yet, you block me and don't (with one possible exception) block them...

And do you know WHY you don't block them?? Because they agree with you politically.. You can put up with their faults which are, apparently, the same as mine, because they are politically aligned to your politics..

Which simply goes to show that your sole determination is the political ideology that is at work.. You put up with "arrogant" and "mean-spirited" and "ignorant" from other people because at the end of the day, ya'all agree politically..

In other words, if I was everything you claim to dislike, but I was a Democrat Party slave as you are, then you would happily read each and every one of my comments.. :D

But hay.. I still like ya... I am actually kind of flattered that I am so much under your skin that you are so compelled to respond to me when you see my comments..

It's very flattering.. :D

It is touching, but somewhat sad, to think I'm interested in the score.

And yet, here you are, always trying to prove me wrong and always failing... miserably failing..

It is nice to see that Michale has conceded that Trump is guilty of obstruction, just not "collusion" - which was never under investigation.

Of course, I said no such thing.. But why include FACTS when you have your bullshit..

News alert buddy, he is also guilty of attempted conspiracy. America can't prove it yet, but we are working on it.

If you can't PROVE it, then he is INNOCENT of it..

You realize that, right?? You realize that, in America, a person is INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty..

By your own admission, you can't prove President Trump guilty.

So he IS completely and 1000% innocent..

And THAT just drives you batshit crazy... :D

I think America will find some treason in there as well as we keep investigating this criminal racket.

Yea and you also thought that Hillary would be President.. You also thought that Mueller would prove Russia Collusion..

You see how your so-called "thought process" is so whacked because of your Party slavery??

There is a lot of time to keep turning over stones, and it is useful to see where Trump is trying to block America from finding out the truth.

You always keep saying that.. "Oh, we got time".. "Oh, it's only a matter of time"..

And yet.. you are ALWAYS wrong... :D

No, it's not. The article about Obama comes from a Fox affiliate. He was there, and shook hands.

Did he shake EVERY hand??

No he did not.

Irregardless of THAT lie of yours, I was asking if you had any FACTS to support your claims that Mexico had already agreed to their recent concessions.

No you do not..

The other article describes PUBLIC declarations by US officials. They happened, and are on the public record. There's no conjecture present.

Which are not relevant to Mexico's recent concessions..

I don't think

Now on THIS, we are in complete agreement..

Do you have ANY facts that PROVE discrimination?? No you do not..

i do. in 2016 there were nearly thirty thousand reports of housing discrimination, which is considered a vast underestimation. the root causes as well as the proximate causes are all extremely well documented.

Which is what happens after such a blatant and publicized FALSE report of a racist attack..

Thereby proving that FALSE claims of attacks such as these are *WORSE* than actual attacks themselves..

So you think that the police do not take each call at face value in how they investigate it? You love to bring up the Jussie Smollett incident as the example of the damage that false reporting does, but you fail to recognize that the police handled that case like they do all others...they take the person’s statements and investigate them to see if they can corroborate the victim’s account. They were not duped. They followed the evidence and determined that he had set up the whole event.

News Flash — people make false criminal reports all the time! Those cases that make the headlines are sensational for the general public, maybe, but for law enforcement it isn’t something that they don’t see every day and recognize!

If you truly knew anything about law enforcement, you would realize that without solid physical evidence or eye witnesses to support the accusation that a crime was committed, the police do not have the legal authority to charge the accused!

NO, past false reports by others do not cause the police to take a current victim’s claims less seriously!

Stupidity, thy name is Michale!

It is nice to see that Michale has conceded that Trump is guilty of obstruction, just not "collusion" - which was never under investigation.

News alert buddy, he is also guilty of attempted conspiracy. America can't prove it yet, but we are working on it. We know that there is something they are trying to hide, otherwise they wouldn't be lying so much, especially the "orphans" whopper papa crook concocted to try to save "Fredo".

I think America will find some treason in there as well as we keep investigating this criminal racket.

There is a lot of time to keep turning over stones, and it is useful to see where Trump is trying to block America from finding out the truth.

You're keeping score in your own game where you set the rules and act as the referee, Michale.

It is touching, but somewhat sad, to think I'm interested in the score.

It's all hearsay and anonymous officials..

No, it's not. The article about Obama comes from a Fox affiliate. He was there, and shook hands.

The other article describes PUBLIC declarations by US officials. They happened, and are on the public record. There's no conjecture present.

I don't think that you looked at either of them.

Cops push back after Rainn Wilson claimed poor response to noose found in friend's yard

Another claim of a racism and the "victim" whines that cops didn't take the report seriously..

Which is what happens after such a blatant and publicized FALSE report of a racist attack..

Thereby proving that FALSE claims of attacks such as these are *WORSE* than actual attacks themselves..

Shove that up your ass, Russ...

Vindication, thy name is Michale.... :D

I never mentioned collusion - there isn't any point -

You said it in response to my point about your Russia Collusion delusion..

But it's nice to see you concede that it was just a delusion..

it is attempted conspiracy that Trump committed,

And yet, Mueller stated that there was "NO EVIDENCE" to support that..

So, once again, you lose...

It seems to be a habit with you, Neil..

But Neil lied when he claimed it was with regards to Russia Collusion...

I never mentioned collusion - there isn't any point - it is attempted conspiracy that Trump committed, but Mueller couldn't get enough evidence because of the systematic lying and obstruction by Trump and his minions.

It will be fun watching the gang members parade in front of cameras and having to decide to either repeat the lies or come clean, knowing that the video will represent them for the historical record.

Well, we have to choose between a President who has over 10,000 documented lies since his inauguration,

Factually not accurate..

But you never have been factually accurate.. There is no reason why you should start now..

As I said last week, we'll no doubt have the gullible posting links to Mexicans shouting "Badges, we don't need no stinking badges" and running around in important looking uniforms proving how Mexican they are to Trump so he can strut around for the gullible.

Whatever you have to tell yourself to make it thru your day.. :D

Well, we have to choose between a President who has over 10,000 documented lies since his inauguration, and the New York Times whose reputation is based on getting things right and that openly admits mistakes when published.

You have to be very gullible to go with the 10,000 and counting liar, but if your emotional psyche is invested in the liar, and you'd look like a complete fool if it took you years to realize you had been conned, you start shouting about "fake news".

Mexico wasn't going to give anything away this easily to Trump without testing his actual resolve - they are smart even if Trump isn't.

Thankyou for confirming that you don't understand the lterary meaning of either protagonist or antagonist. A protagonist is a central character driving the story - can be good, evil, or a mixture of both. An antagonist is simply a character, can be good or evil, or a mix that is in conflict with the protagonist. Ahab's obsession with revenge on the antagonist whale drives the novel, the movies and the comic book. The political affilliations of Ahab and Moby are unspecified, but the novel predates the Republican Party by a few years.

Friday’s joint declaration says Mexico agreed to the “deployment of its National Guard throughout Mexico, giving priority to its southern border.” But the Mexican government had already pledged to do that in March during secret talks in Miami between Kirstjen Nielsen, then the secretary of homeland security, and Olga Sanchez, the Mexican secretary of the interior, the officials said.

The centerpiece of Mr. Trump’s deal was an expansion of a program to allow asylum-seekers to remain in Mexico while their legal cases proceed. But that arrangement was reached in December in a pair of painstakingly negotiated diplomatic notes that the two countries exchanged. Ms. Nielsen announced the Migrant Protection Protocols during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee five days before Christmas.

Ms. Nielsen announced the Migrant Protection Protocols during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee five days before Christmas.

After the deal was announced Friday night, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) mocked Trump, sarcastically calling the agreement “an historic night!”

“Now that the problem is solved, I’m sure we won’t be hearing any more about it in the future,” Schumer tweeted.

After the Times’ report was published Saturday, Schumer handed down a sharper rebuke of the deal, arguing that Mexico had already agreed to many “components” of it.

WASHINGTON — The deal to avert tariffs that President Trump announced with great fanfare on Friday night consists largely of actions that Mexico had already promised to take in prior discussions with the United States over the past several months, according to officials from both countries who are familiar with the negotiations.

Facts to support the claim?? ZERO

Names of these "officials"?? ZERO

It actually does nothing of the kind....

Sure it does..

If a straight would ridicule the gay pride parade, you would accuse him of bigotry..

Why is it not the same in reverse??

What makes you so special??

Also, the fact that you think homosexuality is a "lifestyle" proves just how out of touch and ignorant you are, when it is no such thing at all.

It's a lifestyle choice..

You have no factual evidence that proves otherwise..

"And now Pompeo is stopping embassies from their annual pride month tradition of flying the rainbow flag under the U.S. flag outside embassies.

So?? Why fly a bigoted flag???"

WOW, IGNORANCE on display yet again.

For you to call it BIGOTED just shows how far down the alternate reality, conspiracy theory, right wing nut job cuckoo nationalist racist trope rabbit hole that yourself have gone down.

Hugh Hewitt: Trump's big win leaves critics sputtering

Because President Donald Trump emerges as a clear winner from his week-long confrontation with Mexico over our neighbor’s lax enforcement of its southern border, reflexive Trump critics will scramble to find some way of containing what is a clear Trump triumph, which came with assists by Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who conducted the key negotiations.

Already we have heard about long-term damage to trust between the North American allies, about investor nervousness and Trump’s unpredictability. This sort of flailing about to deny the obvious says nothing about Trump and much about those critics who can no more admit he played high-stakes poker and won a round on border security than they can admit that the president delivered a magnificent tribute to the heroes of Normandy on Thursday.
https://www.dentonrc.com/opinion/columnists/hugh-hewitt-trump-s-big-win-leaves-critics-sputtering/article_ee293867-a523-5a44-b001-19206a0912bc.html

Remember how ya'all criticized and ridiculed President Trump with his Illegal Immigration gambit??

And what did I say??

I said President Trump knows exactly what he is doing and forced Mexico to make some VERY definitive concessions to stop the flow of illegal immigrant criminals..

None of you could even ACKNOWLEDGE ya'all were wrong...

THAT is why ya'all ALWAYS lose..

Because you simply can't concede when yer wrong, even though the FACTS clear show that..

Like with your Russia Collusion delusion, like with your ridicule of Mexico tariffs..

EVERY TIME you spew bullshit and EVERY TIME you are wrong and President Trump bitch slaps the Dumbocrats into oblivion.. :D

It's ALWAYS hilarious to watch.. :D

[82] Michale

"Why advocating for a "straight pride" parade is laughable:

The fact that you think that way proves your bigotry.."

It actually does nothing of the kind....

"Based on the rest of your BS, it's clear you believe that the entire idea of gay pride is to be in the face of those who may not share the lifestyle.."

The fact that YOU think it is all BS in FACT DOES PROVE your BIGOTRY.

Also, the fact that you think homosexuality is a "lifestyle" proves just how out of touch and ignorant you are, when it is no such thing at all. It's an "orientation" not a "lifestyle." Homosexuality is no more a "lifestyle" than "race" is a "lifestyle." It's not something that can be shed or changed every week like a piece of clothing. And this I am sure will be news to you, but gay men, lesbians, singles, married couples and those gay people raising children, ALL do NOT share similar or even the same TYPE of LIVES, despite the fact that they are all gay. Therefore, they can not even remotely be said to all have the same "lifestyle."

Why Trump Is Winning

Meanwhile, Trump stood on the stage at the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony last week and shook the hands of all 900-plus graduates. What president ever did that? Trump loves America. That's what Americans love about him. Democrats don't understand any of this. It goes right over their heads. That's why Trump will win in an electoral landslide in 2020.
https://townhall.com/columnists/wayneallynroot/2019/06/09/why-trump-is-winning-n2547710

No Democrat would ever do that with the US Military..

Why??

Because Dumbocrats hate the military.. That hate is well-documented..

Right you are about your last sentence in [83]: not a single word of this tripe, misrepresentation, assumption, projection, or willful misunderstanding merits a response. I categorically reject your entire fevered fulmination.

If you refer to whatever dictionary you feel doesn't have a known left-wing bias/agenda, you will learn that:
1. equality is the state of being equal
2. equity is the fairness, justice, and impartiality that is the conduit to equality.

Class dismissed...

Why fly a bigoted flag?

Ask the thousands of embassy personnel doing it anyway. We have a stage-1 insurrection going on:

U.S. missions in Seoul as well as in Chennai, India, Santiago, Chile, and Vienna all appear to be flying the flag. Jerusalem sent a delegation to the local gay pride parade. The U.S. embassy in New Delhi was illuminated with rainbow-colored lights.

In Nepal, U.S. Ambassador Randy Berry posed with staff members holding a huge “Pride ’19” message. He tweeted that he was doing this to affirm the U.S. commitment to defending human rights for all.

“If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” Mr. Mueller said, reading from prepared notes behind a lectern at the Justice Department.

Yes, but that is in reference to the OBSTRUCTION charge, not the Russia Collusion bullshit.

As usual, you pull out of context bullshit and try to pass it off as fact..

The Brits had a lot of fun laughing at Trump.

Just like I had a lot of fun laughing at ya'all on 9 Nov 2016...

What's yer point???

And now Pompeo is stopping embassies from their annual pride month tradition of flying the rainbow flag under the U.S. flag outside embassies.

So?? Why fly a bigoted flag??? You would go apeshit if they flew an LEO flag...

As we celebrate LGBT Pride Month and recognize the outstanding contributions that LGBT people have made to our great Nation, let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or even execute individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation.
Here is Boris Johnson, who Trump claims is his friend, talking about Trump:

“And I have to say, when Donald Trump says there are parts of London that are no-go areas I think he is displaying a quite stupefying ignorance that makes him frankly unfit to hold the office of President of the United States.”

Mr Johnson then made a joke at the business tycoon's expense, saying: “I would invite him to come and see the whole of London and take him round the city, except I wouldn’t want to expose Londoners to unnecessary risk of meeting Donald Trump.”

And, just for the "Faaaake nooos" aficionados who routinely dismiss anything if it isn't from a source they like, I found a "Daily Express" link - about as right wing as you can get in the U.K.

The Brits had a lot of fun laughing at Trump.

Another amusing lyrical alternate, this one a Pink Floyd one:

"All in all he just another dick with no wall!"

“If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” Mr. Mueller said, reading from prepared notes behind a lectern at the Justice Department.

As Mueller has said, if Trump didn't conspire with Russia, Mueller would have said so.

Actually, You are lying.. Mueller said no such thing..

But why let a little thing like the FACTS dissuade you from your delusional bullshit..

Even the blind partisans will know the whole "House of Trump" stinks, but more importantly, either moderate Republicans will vote against Trump, or more likely, refuse to vote for him again.

Funny.. That's what you said in the run-up to the 2016 election..

You were full of shit then and you are full of shit now..

Trump is easy to set up - he has to hide so many crimes and lies that he has blundered into repeating the impeachable offences Nixon made.

And yet Pelosi is running scared from impeachment!! :D

That should tell you something if you weren't blinded by Party slavery..

Nancy needs to keep building the case in the court of public opinion, however Trump is making it easy for her.

ANd yet, Trump approval ratings are on the up swing.

So your lies are exposed as nothing but Party slavery... :D
