How refreshing to see a comment from someone who actually knows what he's talking about and doesn't resort to the same old tired whataboutism, deflection, and circular asinine bullshit.

Thank you, Neil. Good form. :)

Because, short of being taken out, President Trump is guaranteed to win a second term...

I think Trump will "win" multiple terms... prison terms; although, perhaps due to this mental condition and advanced age, he will be allowed probation or concurrent terms. Regardless, life as he's known it is over, and he knows that.

It's difficult to tell which is going to be worse as the 2020 election progresses- listening to the Cult 45 crowd or the same old you have no the choice but the lame false alternative big money Democrats wimps.

Easy answer, Don... it's your bullshit that's going to be worse. It probably never occurred to you, but your repetitive asinine bullshit is just as tiresome to everyone else as theirs is. :)

I mean nowhere did Biden mention anything about the US or China's economy. This stop in Iowa wasn't about any economy. He didn't say anything about a military competition, either.

You know, EM, I was thinking everything you just said on Friday when I first read it. You and I know what Joe was talking about, and it had nothing to do with numbers.

Bottom Line: You can't even breathe the damn air in China. There is a Canadian company that sells canned air from the Rocky Mountains to the people in China who can't breathe because of the "smog airpocalypse" that hangs constantly overhead.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Hb_uHZ2Quw

It wasn't a gaffe, either. Although, I fully understand how easy it is to see it that way.

Of course it wasn't; Joe is merely contrasting himself with the "be-afraid-of-everything-perpetual-grievance-make-America-great-again" whiny bullshit that dominates every right-wing outlet from sea to shining sea. Joe is simply saying: America is already great, you fraidy ignorant whiny little britches. :)

C. R. Stucki

There's a Huffpo article today you shoud visit. Something on the order of "Owed taxes this year"? Here's how to make sure it doesn't happen again."

No, thank you, Stucki. I don't need advice regarding tax issues from anywhere. There's also nothing in any article on any website or anywhere else that can change your incorrect statement:

The only thing that affects the size your tax refund is your W-4 that you file with your employer to indicate how much you want to be over-withheld. ~ Ignorant Stucki

You do realize that there are a lot of people who don't work for an "employer" and therefore a W-4 would be useless in affecting the size of their tax refunds, right? You do realize that people actually remit their estimated taxes directly to taxing entities all over the United States, right?

Pretty much duplicates what I told you about the people you were claiming believed their refunds were "too small" on account of something Trump did.

That was Russ, Stucki, not me. My role on the topic involved agreeing wholeheartedly with Russ regarding your asinine statement... which is rather conveniently quoted above.

You need to let it finally "sink in" that things that were tax deductible in 2017 are now no longer tax deductible in 2018 and that certain deductions that are still allowable after the recent tax changes have been given caps that never existed until now. You also need to let it sink in that your statement is not merely false, it is also ignorant and shortsighted since not everyone is an "employee."

Bottom line: Your asinine statement is still as ridiculous today as it was a few days ago and so shall remain ever thus. :)

Former Vice President Joe Biden will not be our next president. Joe Biden will not even be the Democratic nominee. Joe Biden is going to lose. He's going to lose early, and lose big.

Let us start with the fact that top Internet and social media search topics are "Creepy Joe" and "Joe Biden age." This is not launching a campaign from a position of strength. Despite his best efforts to inoculate himself from political mistakes, Joe Biden is simply the wrong guy in the wrong year.

The natural argument for Biden is he would be an extension of the Obama presidency. After all, he did serve two terms as President Obama’s vice president. It was a good argument for 2016. It is a non-starter in 2020, plus President Obama politely, because Biden allegedly asked, will not be endorsing his old running mate. As an aside, a resourceful fact checker might want to evaluate whether this is a “false or misleading” claim.

JASON NICHOLS: BIDEN'S FUTURE AS PRESIDENT RESTS ON HIS SUCCESS IN FIXING HIS PAST

It is not surprising that President Obama is not endorsing his chosen vice president and, according to recent media accounts, urged him not to run in 2016. Let us remember that President Obama had to endorse Biden in 2012 to calm Democratic jitters about keeping him as vice president because of his verbal gaffes. Once Biden starts talking, he invariably goes on until he says something that is offensive or embarrassing. And right now, there is no easier group to offend and embarrass than Democratic primary voters.

I am sorry, Liz.. Despite Biden's recent verbal gaffe of saying that leftist terrorists are very fine people, it gives me no pleasure to post this...

The simple fact is, this is not the Democrat Party that someone like Biden can win in...

And I know yer not a moron... Well, usually yer not..

But HHPTDS (Hyper Hysterical President Trump Derangement Syndrome) does strange things to people...

So, I guess it's to be expected..

Hopefully once President Trump is re-elected in a landslide in 2020, it will be such a shock to ya'all's system that it snaps you free of the syndrome that causes you so much hate and intolerance and hysteria...

Fingers crossed...

[109]: Trump's voice: "Gee, d'ya think that we could actually start a shooting war with Iran before the 2020 election? Cool."

Further, only a moron would think that 17 months before the 2020 election is "right before"...

[109]: Trump's voice: "Gee, d'ya think that we could actually start a shooting war with Iran before the 2020 election? Cool."

Yeah, that'd work.

As opposed to Odumbo's plan of appeasement and giving Iran billions of dollars to fund terrorist attacks all over the world???

Yea.. The Democrat way is MUCH better!! :eyeroll:

moron.... :eyeroll:

Duh. What's interesting is that the research, conducted for Public Services International, a global trade union federation, left any wiggle room at all.

Do you have ANY facts to support your denigration of the report??

Other than your slavery to your Party agenda, that is..

Universal basic income doesn’t work. Let’s boost the public realm instead

A study of UBI trials concludes that making cash payments to all is no solution to poverty and inequality

• Anna Coote is co-author of Universal Basic Income: A Union Perspective

A study published this week sheds doubt on ambitious claims made for universal basic income (UBI), the scheme that would give everyone regular, unconditional cash payments that are enough to live on. Its advocates claim it would help to reduce poverty, narrow inequalities and tackle the effects of automation on jobs and income. Research conducted for Public Services International, a global trade union federation, reviewed for the first time 16 practical projects that have tested different ways of distributing regular cash payments to individuals across a range of poor, middle-income and rich countries, as well as copious literature on the topic.

It could find no evidence to suggest that such a scheme could be sustained for all individuals in any country in the short, medium or longer term – or that this approach could achieve lasting improvements in wellbeing or equality. The research confirms the importance of generous, non-stigmatising income support, but everything turns on how much money is paid, under what conditions and with what consequences for the welfare system as a whole.

Giving away free money to those too lazy to work (ala Occasional Cortex's suggestion) simply does not work..

It creates a society of freeloaders who are slaves to those doling out the free money..

In just the last month, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) unloaded a blistering attack on a leading Democratic think tank. He went after former Vice President Joe Biden on a number of policy fronts. And one of his top congressional surrogates accused Mayor Pete Buttigieg of intellectual dishonesty.

It’s a new, more aggressive look for Team Sanders. The senator who four years ago was known as a gruff but endearing candidate running a democratic-socialist, ideas-driven campaign has decided to bare his fangs more quickly this time, in hopes that it may actually win him the nomination.

So much for "We are able to have differing opinions on how we best solve problems without resorting to name calling and insults."

Aircraft carrier sent to Middle East after indications Iran planned attack on US forces

The United States is deploying an aircraft carrier strike group and a bomber task force to the Middle East on short notice in response to "clear indications" Iran and Iranian proxies were planning an attack on U.S. forces in the region, a U.S. official said.

Late Sunday night, the White House made a surprise announcement that the USS Abraham Lincoln and a bomber task force were being deployed in response to unspecified "troubling and escalatory indications and warnings."

A statement from National Security Adviser John Bolton said the deployments were intended "to send a clear and unmistakable message to the Iranian regime that any attack on United States interests or on those of our allies will be met with unrelenting force."

What's your take on intelligence that suggests Iran is pushing Hamas to attack Israel in the latest Gaza flare up??

My mistake..

Iran doesn't control Hamas in Gaza..

It's Iran's proxy, Islamic Jihad, that is pushing the current conflict with Israel, not Hamas..

My apologies for the error...

Obama should have turned Iran into a parking lot rather than make a deal with them and give them billions of dollars they now use to fund their terrorist proxies...

The Wrong Narrative

Seattle elites show little sympathy for a woman raped by a homeless man.

A year ago, in Seattle, a man living in a city-funded homeless encampment raped a woman in the bathroom of a Volkswagen dealership in the city’s Ballard neighborhood. Christopher Teel had arrived from Texas as a transient and was evading multiple warrants, but the city-sanctioned encampment welcomed him without conducting a criminal-background check.

The story caused a sensation, with wide media coverage and public demands for increased security measures, but the crime victim remained silent and her identity was kept secret. Nearly a year later, the victim, Lindsey, contacted me. After being raped, she had approached city leaders and met with the sitting councilman for nearly an hour but was received, she says, with dismissiveness. Teel’s crime against her did not fit the preferred narrative of compassion for the homeless, so the political class downplayed it. By the time Lindsey reached out to me, she was ready to speak out.
https://www.city-journal.org/seattle-elites-homeless-crime

This is why the hypocrisy of the Democrats is so aggravating and ya'all's support and furtherance of that hypocrisy so saddening...

Everything ya'all do and say is to further that exact hypocritical agenda..

Nothing else matters.. Not compassion for the victims, not anything.. The AGENDA is all that matters..

PARTY UBER ALLES

This is why the hypocrisy of the Democrats is so aggravating and ya'all's support and furtherance of that hypocrisy so saddening...

Everything ya'all do and say is to further that exact hypocritical agenda..

“I think what I’ve done inadvertently ... is, I’ve made it—if not respectable—I’ve made it reasonable for longstanding liberals to begin to raise the questions [about busing] I’ve been the first to raise in the liberal community here on the floor.”
-Joe Biden

This is why I doubt Joe Biden will be able to win the Dem primary...

If Dems want to hold President Trump responsible for what he did 10-20-30 years again, then Biden must be held to the same standard..

As Hiram Johnson, a progressive senator from California, noted more than a hundred years ago, the first casualty in war is truth. Feeling robbed by Mueller of the grounds with which to wage war against President Trump, the Democrats have been reduced to calling Barr a liar and to characterizing him as a chicken. What does falling apart look like? Fear and desperation have usually led us down the bumpiest roads in our history. Maybe it is time for everyone to buckle their seat belts.

Did Nancy Pelosi just jump the shark?

Did House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) just jump the shark? By stating unequivocally that Attorney General William P. Barr lied to Congress and adding, as if for emphasis, that it is a crime, Pelosi may have thought she was just getting in front of her herd of angry Democrats. But inadvertently, the speaker also revealed, in stark relief, a disturbing new trend in our politics: If you don’t tell Congress what it wants to hear, then you are by default lying and, hence, a criminal.

By this logic, truth is no longer an absolute. It is a relative norm. Barr is never fast and loose with the truth. His real sin, in the eyes of the shouting Democrats, may simply involve being too serious for a day in which men such as Michael Avenatti are able to look in the mirror and see a president.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/05/04/did-nancy-pelosi-just-jump-shark/?utm_term=.a6627725e498

And therein is the EXACT problem ya'all have..

For ya'all define "lie" as ANYTHING you don't want to hear...

No wonder you believe that Trump has told 10,000 lies! Because whatever Trump says, you don't want to hear it..

So, it's a lie..

What a sad commentary on a group of allegedly intelligent people (NEN) that they have sunk so low as to be like this...

I would like to think that things will get better but I know, after Trump wins re-election in a landslide, it's only going to get worse..

And THAT is a frightening thought. That ya'all (NEN) could actually sink lower in the muck and mud..

And Trump once again chose to accept Putin’s word over that of our national intelligence agencies — this time concerning Russia’s involvement in Venezuela!

Considering our national intelligence agencies to use their alleged "intelligence" as a political weapon...

Who could blame President Trump??

To me, it's a sad commentary on our intelligence apparatus that they can't be trusted...

Of course YOU don't see that because they were doing what YOU wanted them to do..

Trying to remove a legally, fairly and freely elected President of the United States..

The Democrats gained the House despite the Russian influence!

You STILL believe that.. This, despite EVERYONE who is ANYONE up to AND INCLUDING your own Messiah, Odumbo, who have **ALL** stated that Russian actions had NO EFFECT on election results..

Thanks for admitting that even you recognize that Russia influenced our elections.

Your words would have much more meaning if they came from ACTUAL parenting, rather than just Democrat talking points..

Great job of deflecting from having to address my argument. Look, just because you didn’t pull out and your sister mistook a Pez for her birth control doesn’t mean your argument has any credibility.

For over ten years I dedicated my life to working with and counseling high school aged kids. While I may not be the birth parent to any child, I have hundreds of kids that I have called “mine”.

I was the one they moved in with and who took care of them after Mom decided to run off with a new boyfriend and abandoned them. I was also the one who they went to when they find out they were pregnant and were too scared to tell their parents. I was the one who went with them to let their parents know they were pregnant and scared. I have seen firsthand the horrors that some parents have inflicted on their children, so spare me the “unless you are a parent” defense.

A brain dead woman can still give birth — does not mean she knows anything about what a child needs to be healthy.

Of course he does..EVERYTHING bad is because of those with a -R after their name and EVERYTHING pure and good is because of those with a -D after their name...

That asinine thinking is still infinitely wrong, Michale.

Sorry, off -topic

There's an article on Huffpo today, something like "Trump Vows to increase tariffs on Chinese imports", with Trump Tweet quotes where he claims that CHINA pays the tariff taxes he levies in Chinese imports, and says that's why our economy is doing so well.

Gawdallmighty, can't somebody straighten the moron out on that? Doesn't he have any qualified advosors?

I get it. I really do..

You are getting tired of being always wrong about everything to do with Trump and it's very frustrating for you...

You COULD always accept the facts and reality. That President Trump isn't as bad as you claim he is and he is actually doing some good things for the country..

But, no.. You won't do that because then your entire existence for the last 2+ years would have been a lie...

And you can't face that..

Michale,

Biden voted in favor of the AUMF of 2003..

Well, the vote was in October 2002 and you are right that Biden voted to give President Bush the authorization to use military force in Iraq if certain conditions were met.

This vote was taken several months before the war began and after serious efforts were taken to avoid having to use that authorization.

While Hillary and John Edwards apologized during their 2008 presidential primary campaigns for their respective "votes for war", they really had no idea what they were talking about.

If you or anyone is interested in what this vote was all about and in the context in which that vote took place, then I would recommend reading the floor speeches by Senator Biden in the days before that vote took place.

ANd once again, you change the subject because you can't argue the REAL point..

No one argues against LEGAL immigration..

It's only ILLEGAL immigration that is contested..

Well, contested by all patriotic Americans.. Welcomed by Democrats and traitors...

So... The Democrats gained the House despite Russia influence..

Ahhhhhhh I see..

So, Russia interferes SUCCESSFULLY when a GOP'er wins the election..

But Russia is NOT successful in interfering in an election when DEMOCRATS win...

Don't you find such blind subservience to Party dogma annoying???

Because it sure is LAUGHABLE... :D

Try to catch up with reality Michale, Putin ain't supporting anyone but Trump - he said so himself - or did that not make it past your partisan blinder filter?

Even if true, so??

You didn't mind it when Odumbo bent the knee and pledged "flexibility" to Putin...

Why does it bother you with Trump??

Oh, yea.. That's right. Odumbo has a -D after his name, so that makes it all right.. :^/

Again, I have to ask.. Blind subservience to Party dogma?? Annoying??

Why Japan and China are in a demographic hole (and probably parts of Europe as well), and the U.S.A. has a glorious future as long as we can get rid of the nutcases who support Trump:

China lifted its one-child policy, because they suddenly understood how demographics work. But it is too late - their form of capitalism doesn't allow for free movement of people or generate enough wealth yet, so people are saving money by not having babies.

Japan saw the same thing happen.

So is Italy, and many other OECD countries.

The U.S. has a similar problem (see Steve King for his moronic take on the problem). But we have one thing going for us, we are the nation everybody wants to live in. So as long as we can keep growing our population (and don't care about how many gene's that encode for melanin somebody has), we have the chance to continue growing with a somewhat proportional balance between working age and retired.

If you want a strong America, you need immigration - for people and ideas. End of story.

I was not the one who was pushing for allowing child labor in this country —

Nor am I..

You'll note my point was solely confined to the hypocrisy of the Left in supporting the ripping away of childhoods when it supports the Leftist agenda..

If your child does not feel that they can turn to you in this moment of crisis, then the problem is with your relationship with them! It is not the fault of the clinic staff.

Your words would have much more meaning if they came from ACTUAL parenting, rather than just Democrat talking points..

Actually, it has everything to do with it. Trump cannot handle the fact that he is president thanks in large part to Russia’s interference in our election.

You STILL believe that.. This, despite EVERYONE who is ANYONE up to AND INCLUDING your own Messiah, Odumbo, who have **ALL** stated that Russian actions had NO EFFECT on election results..

I honestly don't know how to converse with someone who is SOOO self-deluded...

Odd that he could tell Putin was smiling since they were not video conferencing.

Just as, I am sure, Odumbo could tell that Putin was smiling when Odumbo bent the knee and pledged fealty to Putin thru Putin's minion..

What's your point???

You LOST the election.. Fair and square.. If you and Democrats can't move on, you'll never win another presidency in our lifetime again..

Michale

Ahhh So you don't mind taking away children's youth, eh? :D

I was not the one who was pushing for allowing child labor in this country — the very suggestion makes it clear that “taking away their youth” does not matter to you.

It's you dumbshit Democrats who want to let girls of 12 or 13 make decisions about having an abortion without parental consent..

Oh....she is NOT old enough/mature enough to decide for herself if she wants to become a parent at that age, but she is old enough/mature enough to be forced into becoming a parent, is that it?

Mom and Dad should be the ones to decide if their raped daughter should have to give birth to her rapist’s child?

While most people who argue for requiring parental consent do so out of the fear that their child will try to keep them from finding out about the pregnancy and not that they oppose their daughter’s desire to terminate the pregnancy, the problem is that requiring parental consent takes the choice away from the person facing becoming a parent.

If your child does not feel that they can turn to you in this moment of crisis, then the problem is with your relationship with them! It is not the fault of the clinic staff.

Oh, you mean how he has lied about the number of Electoral College votes he received?

Which has nothing to do with the point of accepting election results..

Or that he actually won the popular vote because Hillary hired 3 million Mexicans to vote for her?

Again, nothing to do with the point.

Actually, it has everything to do with it. Trump cannot handle the fact that he is president thanks in large part to Russia’s interference in our election.

Which explains why he failed to bring up the subject of interfering in our elections during his almost 1.5 hour phone call to his handler — Putin.

"We discussed, he sort of smiled when he said something to the effect that it started off as a mountain and it ended up being a mouse, but he knew that, because he knew there was no collusion whatsoever, so pretty much that’s what it was," Trump told reporters.

Odd that he could tell Putin was smiling since they were not video conferencing.

And Trump once again chose to accept Putin’s word over that of our national intelligence agencies — this time concerning Russia’s involvement in Venezuela!

Biden labels Trump a 'clown' during campaign stop in South Carolina

Former Vice President Joe Biden took a page out of President Trump’s playbook on Saturday when asked at a South Carolina fundraiser if he had a nickname for the president.

The 2020 Democratic presidential front-runner said he didn’t want to get down in the mud with Trump, but if he had to choose a moniker for the current White House occupant it would be a “clown.”

So much for the claim that Dumbocrats won't stoop down to Trump's level.... :^/

Yunno, ya'all should be careful how you defend Democrats.. They have a tendency to prove ya'all wrong.. :D

A Shouting Match, Nasty Personal Attacks and a Growing Rift Among N.Y. Democrats

The skirmish between two state senators illustrates the growing pains of the Democratic Party’s progressive wing, echoing similar tension in Congress.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/11/nyregion/alessandra-biaggi-kevin-parker-senate.html

How do you reconcile the above facts with the claim:

"We are able to have differing opinions on how we best solve problems without having to resort to name calling and insults."

And THAT was just a 10 second search.. Imagine how many facts I will have to put lie to your claim on my day off tomorrow!! :D

You should know better to make unequivocal statements like that, that are easily proven false.. :D

Yeah, by “showing their true colors” you mean that they are pointing out where they disagree with another candidates proposed solutions. We are able to have differing opinions on how we best solve problems without having to resort to name calling and insults. I know that you are required to agree with whatever the human dumpster fire says, no matter how idiotic it may be, but we are able to disagree and work out compromises to find the best courses of action.

The First Jabs of 2020
There are signs that the dam of goodwill among Democratic presidential candidates is about to break.

THE OPENING MONTHS OF the 2020 Democratic presidential primary have largely been an amicable, well-mannered affair.

There are sudden signs that's about to change.

This week, several candidates tossed brushback pitches against rivals, with most of the heat being directed at Joe Biden, whose newly minted front-running candidacy appeared to open the door to a more contentious phase of the campaign.

"The Democratic race began in earnest last week," says Simon Rosenberg, founder of the New Democrat Network think tank. "And Biden's surge is likely to cause other candidates to start going after him."

Both Sens. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts served up policy contrasts with the former vice president, pointing out past positions he took that they believe are out of sync with today's Democratic Party.

Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey swiped at Sanders for advocating for voting rights for the incarcerated. And Jay Inslee, the Washington governor who is making climate change the centerpiece of his longshot bid, took aim at Beto O'Rourke's commitment to a plan to solve the problem.

Trump's economy proves Democrats are presently on another planet

What planet are the Democrats on?

I ask that question for two reasons. First, because the 2020 Democratic presidential front-runner happily ignores China, America's preeminent threat. Second, because Democrats seem determined to destroy an economic model that is producing record benefits to individuals in society — and in particular to the lower-income workers they claim to support.

Consider the latest unemployment data released Friday. Alongside an increase in productivity of 3.6%, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday that the unemployment rate fell to 3.6% over the first quarter 2019. That's the lowest rate since we first landed on the moon. And that 3.6% matching speaks to an economy that is growing, dynamic, and moral. Consider that the data also shows Hispanic unemployment is now at just 4.2%. Aside from static year-on-year changes in (still very low) unemployment for blacks, and a 0.2% year-on-year increase in unemployment for teenagers, the economy is boosting employment for every listed demographic subset.

Yet Democrats say that Trump's economy is somehow immoral. When they aren't trying to assign credit for it to Obama, they claim that it punishes the middle class and the poor. And so, rather than doubling down on the economic fortune we now find, Democrats are pledging to shred Trump's corporate tax reforms, escalate regulation, and increase state control in the economy.

This is insane.
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/trumps-economy-proves-democrats-are-presently-on-another-planet

Democrats just CAN'T handle the fact that President Trump won the election and that EVERY prediction of catastrophe that Dumbocrats have made has been completely, unequivocally and 1000% **WRONG**

Democrats need to jump on the bandwagon or get run over by it..

Either way is fine with me.. :D

Ooops..

Of course, all bets are off if Trump wins a second term.

Hope yer not fond of those bets.. :D

Because, short of being taken out, President Trump is guaranteed to win a second term...

Odumbo and the Dumbocrats got it WRONG...

The Economy That Wasn’t Supposed to Happen: Booming Jobs, Low Inflation
Maybe using data from a few decades in the middle of the 20th century to set policy in the 21st isn’t such a good idea.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/03/upshot/unemployment-inflation-changing-economic-fundamentals.html

Funny how ya'all want to give the booming economy credit to Odumbo when it was Odumbo who claimed that such a great economy could NEVER happen!!

Face reality, people..

President Trump is simply a better president than Odumbo could EVER hope to be..

Oh, you mean how he has lied about the number of Electoral College votes he received?

Which has nothing to do with the point of accepting election results..

Or that he actually won the popular vote because Hillary hired 3 million Mexicans to vote for her?

Again, nothing to do with the point.

No...no problem at all!

Whatever you have to tell yourself to make it thru your day.. :D

Yes, many do,

I am assuming you don't have kids...

Thank you for proving my point..

It’s not so much “GHASTLY” as it is STUPID! Children in the workforce would create massive unemployment.

Ahhh So you don't mind taking away children's youth, eh? :D

Actually, you inbred conservatives are the ones knocking up children, forcing the issue of abortion on them.

Not factually accurate..

It's you dumbshit Democrats who want to let girls of 12 or 13 make decisions about having an abortion without parental consent..

The same goes for gender dysphoria — you are the ones who have a problem with kid identifying as something you disagree with!

It's not a question of me disagreeing or not.. It's a question of disagreeing with FACTS, BIOLOGY and REALITY...

Something ya'all dumbshit Democrats have a problem with understanding..

I mean, com'on.. Creating new genders???

I understand where Joe was coming from wrt China - I agree that they are not a major competitor in the short to mid term.

And, with respect to political systems, China will NEVER be a political competitor or ever hope to lead the free world. This is what Biden is talking about.

I'm looking forward to Biden speaking forcefully about the need to revive the TPP. One of the things I hated most about the Hillary campaign was her reversal on the TPP in an effort to win an election. Ha!

Michale,

And do you HONESTLY believe that a 6 yr old has the maturity and understanding to know who they "really are"..

Yes, many do, although they may not have the language skills necessary to express that knowledge. I knew from the age of three that I was attracted to guys and not girls.

You act all abhorrent when someone suggests that a child enter the work force and become a productive member of society... HOW GHASTLY!!!

It’s not so much “GHASTLY” as it is STUPID! Children in the workforce would create massive unemployment. They would be eligible to receive unemployment benefits, so that’s gonna be a huge hit to the economy. And don’t think that they will be cheap labor, as they’d be paid the same as their adult counterparts.

The GOP definitely wants to keep people as uneducated as possible or they would lose a majority of their base!

Yet, you push on kids adult themes like abortion and sexuality and gender dysphoria!!

Michale,

Yea, cuz it's TRUMP who has the reputation for NOT accepting election results..

Oh, you mean how he has lied about the number of Electoral College votes he received? Or that he actually won the popular vote because Hillary hired 3 million Mexicans to vote for her? Or that he won by a larger margin than any Republican in history? Glad you admitted that it was Trump who had the problem!

You see your problem???<

No...no problem at all!

I understand where Joe was coming from wrt China - I agree that they are not a major competitor in the short to mid term.

That isn't to say they aren't currently a bad actor from an economic behavior perspective. We need to get a real President in the White House to bring back the TPP and start squeezing them instead of spouting nonsense and ensuring tariffs hurt American farmers and manufacturers.

However their financial system is very fragile, and they are about to embark on a return to dictators-for-life - a system that has seldom resulted in a peaceful transfer of power or long term economic strength.

The ability of China to survive the first severe home grown economic downturn is likely to be tested within the next 10-15 years, and then we'll see how they reconstitute themselves. If they suffer a major meltdown, especially if the other regional economies build stronger financial institutions (both public and private), then they could languish for years or decades propping up zombie SOEs and lose a lot of their ability to project power. This will, of course, be made worse if their currency weakens and they start to take on a lot of relatively low interest rate (for them) dollar denominated debt. Just ask Turkey.
