<i>Technically, one could make that claim regarding any relationship where the age difference is more than 12 years. Funny thing is that you don’t have Democrats in Congress foaming at the mouth over this the way Republicans do with anything having to do with either Bill or Hillary.</i>

I know, right? It's like the Clintons live rent free in their tiny little minds and function as the "be all, end all" object of political conversation. Another funny thing about the right-wing echo chamber and their ilk foaming at the mouth, who seemingly never tire of droning on and on about Clinton in deflection and whataboutism, they somehow want to pretend that Bill Clinton invented sex in the White House and that Warren G. Harding having sex on a regular basis in the White House never existed. Oh, wait... they're not pretending; they're just ignorant.

Warren G. Harding (R) didn't just "fool around" in the White House; he had full blown sex on a regular basis with his mistresses, one Nan Britton, who was 30 years younger than he and with whom he had fathered a child out of wedlock. Harding secretly made child support payments which he had hand delivered to Ms. Britton by the Secret Service. Harding had several mistresses, one which the RNC paid large sums of money in addition to monthly hush money, Carrie Phillips, in order to buy her silence while Harding was president.

While all this what about the multiple mistresses and hush money and child support delivered by the Secret Service and illegitimate child of Warren G. Harding doesn't absolve Bill Clinton or any other president one iota, you'd think the morons and their ilk who keep whining about Clinton as if he was somehow a pioneer in that department might want to crack a book and educate themselves about the Republican scum in the White House that existed long before Bill Clinton was even born. :)

DH-19 "What I said could happen that at the time was considered an unrealistic pipe dream actually happened in 2016, should be able to be understood by anyone with half a brain as lending credence to the One Demand approach."

What happened in the 2016 is the biggest spender didn't win. There is nothing new about this, it is not a pipe dream. The financial underdog wins now and again, politics is a game of chance that cannot be predicted with certainty. Neither Clinton nor Trump nor even Bernie were anything close to OneDemand 200$ max small donor standards. Your theory remains untested at the level of big party presidential candidates.

What I really find shocking, even hypocritical, is that you are unwilling to personally test pilot your own experimental creation under field conditions You say being a serving politician sucks. It will take many cycles of defeat before getting a win. Let someone else do the development, it is too risky. Like I said, demonstration is powerful thing. You are demonstrating "better thee than me."

Rather than going through your response point by point I will simply point out that you still have failed to explain how going on strike and writing ones self in will send a message when there is no effective way or other outlet that is tracking said write in names and letting everyone know a "message is being sent".

<i> It is amazing that voting for the status quo is not perfect but it is okay that it is not perfect, but One Demand has to be perfect right from the start.</i>

Never said nor inferred any of the above. One Demand doesn't have to be perfect, it simply needs to be a living growing thing like a movement is.

Movements do not grow and achieve their goals without sufficient feeding in the form of time and energy from their founder.

Don Harris-

I think the time you devote to piggy-backing on CW.com would be better spent updating and enhancing your own website. It has changed very little since the Obama era.

You are not making headway in the marketplace of ideas. You need to admit this and not blame the market place or your target audience or CW. I find your arguments logically weak because they are driven mostly by emotion with very little data provided to back them up. On the rare occasions you do provide data, you don't source it.

By the way, while the biggest spenders don't always win a federal election, but they do win roughly 82% senate races and 94% of house of reps.

Demonstration is a very effective way to win an argument. Run for office in New Jersey and apply your small donor approach. If you won't try it, why should anybody else? Even if you lose the race, you'll get public exposure and more importantly, practical experience. Repeat as necessary. Effective crusading is hard work, so work smart.

Yer also in .... good company... with CNN..

<B>CNN STOPS UPDATING JOB TRACKER AFTER RECORD GROWTH...
CNN Hasn’t Updated Its ‘Trump Jobs Tracker’ Since The Beginning Of January</B>

CNN also doesn't like revealing any good news from the Trump administration either..

Which is CNN's (and ya'all's) right, of course..

But they (and ya'all) don't get to claim "reality based" if ya'all ain't...

Yes.. If you want to argue semantics, as opposed to FACTS, one could make that claim.. :^/

<I>Trump having to pay for sex is not a surprise to anyone. With his looks and personality, he has less sex appeal than a pediatric cancer ward. The pay off is the issue. God knows she deserves any money she received. But if he used campaign money to pay for her silence, then that’s a big problem!</I>

No, it's only a problem because it's a POTUS with an -R after his name..

How does your anti-big money crusade deal with the fact that it's not at all uncommon for the biggest spenders to lose elections?

DH 4/5

I think you need to rethink your plea for attention to your cause as it pertains to this commentary.

The big flaw in our aging electoral system is that we have no option for "none of the above" to register our displeasure. In a perfect world (or union) we would have a trigger that if "none of the above" took the majority, all existing candidates would be disqualified from running again and new candidates would be nominated and elections would happen again in 120 days.

Given that in many areas of the country one off write in votes are not even tallied and are considered undervotes, and can invalidate the entire ballot, your suggestion of writing in ones own self as sending a message would have no impact at best and at worst could shift the vote counts in down ballot races.

Now, if you were to perhaps invest some of the time and energy spent here (and I assume other places) trying to get them to come before you build it and invest it in making your website current (as of just now it is not and I have to do math when reading) and adding news about how candidates who have run successfully on small donation and won ( as of now the last news is the Billy Joel song competition) and how that fits into your goal and then following up with how these candidates are coming through for the common man vs monied interests. You would probably start to get ranked higher in web searches and as a result your website gets more traffic, more traffic means more potential to sign up thus making a movement (10 total participants does not constitute a movement) once sufficient numbers have been enlisted.

Once a significant following has been achieved and a certain amount of buzz and attention achieved and you were to then suggest everyone write in one candidate, "Nomore Bigmoney" springs to mind, no matter the race you might send a message but the out come would still be the same... The big money interest still takes the cycle. We are still screwed. there is still no guarantee that things will change.

As it stands your suggestion will only give the whole loaf to people who already have many of them and do not need one more. I being rooted in reality will take a half loaf any day over giving the whole thing to a known group that wants the whole loaf. it certainly is not perfect but is better than just giving the whole shop away in a pique of anger.

''Trump, trade tariffs, talking to tyrants, trysts, and turgid twaddle.

Typical week in the life of the Trump bubble, I spat out my Gin and Tonic when Trump cited previous presidents that he was hoping to emulate with his tariff talk...when I heard the name William McKinley, I thought, now there's someone whose shoes Trump should take a stroll in. I know damn well Trump has no idea about McKinley, but surely his speechwriters know better than to draw parallels to a gunned-down president.

I'm glad 'ole Stormy' is getting another kick at the cat, she's quite tenacious, like a burn mark in a rug, she refuses to go away...surely it's only a matter of time before some deep-pocketed Trump loather steps up and lobs her a few million to ignore all the machinations of Trump's bent lawyer and sing her song. However, seeing Trump squirm in a deposition would be popcorn and easychair worthy.

''Trump and the Tyrant''...well, let's face it, it won't happen. NK is famously intransigent about official meetings with other nations, it'll take six months to decide what shape the table will be, let alone where and when it will be placed. Kimbo Jongo Uno, has his little win already, he has an American president willing to acknowledge his status. Even if by some miracle this epic meeting of titans does come to fruition, Nk aren't about give up their only bargaining chip. Trump has taken delivery of yet another ACME device destined to blow up in his face.

Tillerson, the poor bugger...I'm sure it was no coincidence he was in the middle of Africa on 'vital' business of state when this NK bombshell hit Washington, bollocks to a barn dance he's quite happy to be well out of this upcoming debacle. It's well known that Tillerson's only role is to liase with his Russian buddies and find a way to free up the millions of acres of EXXon leased oil reserve land that Obama amusingly snatched from their grasp at the last moment through sanctions. I like Rex, he has a swagger about him that engenders a certain amount of trust, and anyone willing to remind Trump that he's a moron and remain in office has to have more to them than meets the eye.

I see Obama is set to do a series of shows on Netflix, I think I'll wait to activate the free six months of this channel that came with my smart tv, I see no reason whatsoever for Obama to pull his punches at this point, though he'll have to walk a fine line where Trump and the GOP are concerned, he could easily wind up as a rallying cry for the right wing, we all know how they like distractions.

Does anyone know what Stormy Daniels actually WANTS? To overturn the agreement so that she can share her story - is that her goal? To share (sell?) her story?
