In the 10-3 decision, the majority found that the travel ban "drips with religious intolerance, animus and discrimination." The Ninth Circuit is also going to chime in within weeks, as well.

Big deal... The SCOTUS will overturn the ruling and allow the ban to proceed..

But the MIDOTW award this week goes to New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu. He won the same award two weeks ago, for writing an opinion piece explaining why he was proud to be removing Confederate monuments in his city, and he followed this up with an amazing speech where he explained his thoughts at greater length in an incredibly inspiring way.

Must be getting desperate to find Impressive Democrats that you would have to give the award to the same person for, essentially the same thing. :D

i think it's a little harsh giving the gold jellyfish to rob quist, who was outspent something like four to one and still put in a very strong showing for a real progressive in a red state.

if there has to be someone to be disappointed with over that election, why not the DNC for refusing to "waste" funds courting voters in a state they thought they'd lose. a fifty state strategy is what won the House in 2006, so why has the democratic party regressed to "targeting" instead of trying to win everywhere? random opportunities can pop up in any district, and a national party needs to be prepared to capitalize wherever they may occur.
