Hot Lips,

Sgt. Schultz would like us to point out the flaw in his logic. Sadly, as there is no logic in his comments his request is an impossibility.

TRANSLATION: There is no flaw in your logic...

There remains his striking lack of support for his beloved's actions --

Considering how YOU felt after NOT-45's devestating loss, do you REALLY want to point fingers and make comments about people's "beloved"s???

Something about stones and glass houses come to mind..

Dear me, while I was composing my comment, Schultzie actually posted these words:

It's nothing I haven't said for the last few days..

You just ignore it because it completely negates your immature personal-attacks and childish name calling..

Sadly, there are bitter days ahead for Sgt. Schultz.

I can assure you, I will be fine.. Despite what you may think, I really don't have much invested in my chosen ones..

You cannot make the same claim...

Disillusionment is painful.

No one knows better than you.. :D

I will leave it at that for tonight and see what tomorrow brings.

With me, tomorrow brings what EVERY day brings..

Consistency..

In light of your (what I am sure was a) painful concession, I'll leave it at that.. :D

Ni ni, Hot Lips.. :D

Dear me, while I was composing my comment, Schultzie actually posted these words:

Truth be told, I am disappointed in Trump.. While I think the majority of his issues come from without, from Democrat obstructionism and downright hysterical PTDS, I do concede that, in many areas, he has not done himself any favors..

Had I seen that comment I would have not posted [125].

Sgt. Schultz would like us to point out the flaw in his logic. Sadly, as there is no logic in his comments his request is an impossibility.

There remains his striking lack of support for his beloved's actions -- Schultzie knows Bumpy is a fraud and a failure but can't admit it so he types his screeds about everything-but-Bumpy's breathtakingly bad performance as POTUS. Other than a few knee-jerk FOXisms he eschews actual defenses of the, admittedly, indefensible moves made by his daily-more-tarnished hero.

Well, who can blame him? After all, almost anyone can make a mistake about a politician, amirite? Just because all the signs were there that the pol is a criminal con-man doesn't mean the signs can't be missed. I once bought an avocado that I thought was ripe when it turned out to be hard as a rock inside, so I can understand how someone <strike>who prides himself on his political acumen</strike> could fail to see Bumpy's hollow core. It's hard to spot his hollow core when you're enjoying Bumpy's mockery of a disabled person and other examples of his sophisticated humor -- Crooked Hillary! Pocahantas! I mean, when you're laughing so hard you can't breathe how can you be expected to notice details?

Still, I suspect the Russian vacation is off. The very desperation of Schultzie's frenetic attempts at distraction tells its own tale, that of a man engaged in denial of the most virulent kind. But reality has a strange way of breaking through the most impenetrable barriers erected by head-in-sand types.

Sadly, there are bitter days ahead for Sgt. Schultz.

JL,

he just hasn't repeated it more than once

Nobody deigned to follow up on it so I figured it was a mutual understanding that *I* can admit when my chosen ones scroo the pooch...

Unlike others who shall remain nameless but know who they are...

Truth be told, I am disappointed in Trump.. While I think the majority of his issues come from without, from Democrat obstructionism and downright hysterical PTDS, I do concede that, in many areas, he has not done himself any favors..

I remember when I lost faith in Obama after having been VERY excited to vote for him and that he won...

I am not there with Trump, but I would be lying if I said that I am not disappointed...

It's simply astounding how many arguments and flame wars could be avoided if ya'all could simply concede the FACT that ya'all COULD be wrong about such and such and that I COULD be right...

I mean, it's not as if it's never happened before, right? :D

For example, it's entirely possible that this Special Prosecutor could backfire on the Democrats and cause them even greater harm than they have already inflicted upon themselves..

Mueller could become another Ken Starr and could savage the Democrats with exposure of all the malfeasance and shady deals and illegal/unethical activities that have become common place in politics..

To deny this possibility is to deny the facts, deny history and deny reality...

Russ,

I am happy to admit that I considered Comey an honorable man, but even honorable men can screw up!

But that's not my point..

I endowed Director Mueller with Republican attributes, as espoused by the WPG and envisioned a plausible and realistic scenario based on those attributes..

Hot Lips, Balthy et al went hysterically ballistic, making Mueller out to be the Patron Saint Of Democrats, even though Mueller is a Republican..

I simply pointed out their astonishing lack of credibility because they ALSO made Comey out to be the Patron Saint of Democrats, right up to the point that Comey did something that Hot Lips, Balthy et al didn't like...

It's the lack of credibility on their part that's the point.. Not the honor of Mueller or Comey..

But, hay.. Since you bring it up... :D

I questioned whether my initial assessment of Comey was correct, and while I disagree with his handling of the case after it was closed, I still considered him to be honorable.

Aww right... Aww right...
-Lane Smith, MY COUSIN VINNY

OK, so you still consider Comey to be an honorable man..

This being the case, isn't it POSSIBLE....

"Is it possible that the two yutes..."
"Ah, the two what? Uh... uh, what was that word?
"Uh... what word?"
"Two what?"
"What?"
"Uh... did you say 'yutes'?"
"Yeah, two yutes."
"What is a yute?"
-MY COUSIN VINNY

:D

......Is it possible that Comey (and Joshua, incidentally) are RIGHT in their assessments of the necessity of Comey's actions and YOU are wrong?

I mean, if you still consider Comey to be honorable and all, then you simply MUST concede that Comey (and JL) COULD be right and you COULD be wrong...

No??

Irregardless of all that, my point is, is that the WPG has absolutely NO CREDIBILITY when assessing the honor of ANYONE because they have PROVEN that their assessments are totally, completely and unequivocally based on their Party sla...... zealotry...

Director Mueller may act just as "honorably" as Director Comey acted and may expose MORE Democrat malfeasance and illegal/unethical activities...

And, if that happens, then the WPG will turn on Mueller just as they turned on Comey...

If there is a flaw in my logic, I would be mighty obliged if you would point it out...

:D

Yea, that's EXACTLY what ya'all said about Comey...

THEN Comey said something ya didn't like and then he was trash...

I am happy to admit that I considered Comey an honorable man, but even honorable men can screw up! Comey screwed up by elaborating on Clinton's offenses that he determined did not warrant charges. That is not how the FBI typically handles investigations that do not result in prosecution. And his choice to do so days before the election made it all the worse. I questioned whether my initial assessment of Comey was correct, and while I disagree with his handling of the case after it was closed, I still considered him to be honorable.

You were very open about your support of Comey during Hillary's investigation, yet you've been surprisingly silent about addressing Comey's treatment by Trump. Face it, you just can't admit it when Trump screws up.

Because Mueller IS an honorable man, unlike so many on their way to Europe right now.

Yea, that's EXACTLY what ya'all said about Comey...

THEN Comey said something ya didn't like and then he was trash...

You'll do the same thing when Director Mueller says something against Democrats..

Ya'all have absolutely NO CREDIBILITY here...

You got played... Man up and admit it..

Point to Michale..

It's hilarious...I take a Republican and apply YA'ALL'S standards and beliefs ABOUT Republicans to this particular Republican..And ya'all do a COMPLETE 180 and say "Oh no, THIS Republican is an honorable Republican

Because Mueller IS an honorable man, unlike so many on their way to Europe right now.

I have Republican friends, and none of them go on like Michale. One, who liked Trump, and was afraid to tell me knowing that I'm a Democrat, was pleasantly surprised when my reaction was, "good for you. At least you're involved." Now he smiles when he sees me, knowing a good conversation is in the offing.

He's no longer a Trump fan boy either, by the way.
But he's still a Republican.

And he pointed out today (or said that David Brooks pointed out today, same difference) that it isn't the Democrats who are bringing down Trump, it's folks IN THE WHITE HOUSE, a.k.a. Trump loyalists, who have done the most damage, followed by Justice Department leaks, and intelligence community leaks.

In other words traditional GOP constituencies who, because of their closeness to the situation, see just how awful things have become, and have had just enough of Trump's embarrassing behavior.

I really can't believe he called Comey a "nut job" and "crazy".

If this is true he is going to have the FBI working unpaid overtime to take him down. They are also going to go after Sessions and Rosenstein.

So 45 now has the media, the FBI, and the IC gunning for him.

Who is going to accept a position in that administration unless you are really desperate, so the quality of the support staff is going to deteriorate as well.

If I were Pence I'd be phoning everybody I knew in the FBI, CIA, NSA, etc. and asking what I could do to help the investigations - nobody wants to be in that firing line for somebody who would throw you under the bus in an instant.

Listen

Is he corrupt or just an imbecile?

Yes... yes.

Just how great of a businessman is Trump for insulting and pissing off the very people who are investigating him?

Compared them to Nazis!?! ;) Then called Director Comey "crazy" and a "nut job" while he refers to Kim Jong-un as a "smart cookie" and has nothing but praise for Vladimir. Vlad wanted a meeting so what was Trump supposed to do... say "no" to Vlad!?!

Such a great businessman that he doesn't know how to say, "I'll get back with you on that, Vladimir" until he could ask someone with a brain how to handle it? *LOL*

Also saw that the Times is claiming one of Trump's closest advisors is being called an important person of interest in the Russian investigation.

So you think it's Jared? Why, yes.... yes, it is!

Jared?! Jared!!!!! You've got some splainin' to do!

No worries, though, Fox will spin this to their goobers calling it fake news and tell them that the arrest of Obama for the "wire tapp" is merely minutes away. **ROTFLMAO** They're so effing gullible. :)

[103] Kick: I love the transcript, but where did it come from? And Spicer didn't deny it was accurate, just tried to spin it. DT has just inspired such love at the WH!

“I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job.... I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”

Who the hell says something like this to foreign diplomats? Trump's so desperate to please his bosses that he'd bash his own FBI chief to try to make himself look good.

Michale, did he intentionally try to damage the reputation of the FBI with this comment, or is he just so utterly stupid that he didn't realize what he was doing by saying such things? Or to put it more simply: Is he corrupt or just an imbecile?

Hmmmm, I guess that explains why we only see pictures of Ivanka and Putin's girlfriend in all of the photos from when Ivanka and Jared took time out of campaigning to go on vacation with Putin's lady friend.

Might also explain why Jared led the push to fire Comey as well.

DOES NOT CARE that a rival country inserted itself into our election process to try to help his guy.

And being admittedly dumber than Trump, Sgt. Schultz is blissfully unaware that there is a transcript of Trump's meeting with the Russians in the Oval wherein Trump says:

“I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job.... I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”

His money is on Trump. Ouch... bad investment. Some of those guys in the White House have been under investigation for months by the IC, you know? :)

The part I cannot forgive Sgt. Schultz for is his embrace of Russian interference. It doesn't matter if that was the deciding feature in DT's electoral college win/popular vote loss or not. It's that Sgt. Schultz doesn't care about it at all.

DOES NOT CARE that a rival country inserted itself into our election process to try to help his guy.

Doesn't care. Loves Putin for it, in fact. Loves a goddamned violent dictator because said dictator helped elevate DT, thereby disappointing Democrats and wreaking havoc on our governmental institutions, our citizens, and the world.

Doesn't care.

MICHALE debases the word "patriot" by applying it to himself.

Kick: [89] Yep.

[93] Yes, and I'd love to know who did the recording. It does not paint a positive picture of the participants.

[91] Balthasar: Sgt. Schultz is incapable/unwilling to admit that there are qualitative differences between the parties' way of doing business. He will dodge.

He will eventually repeat his "both sides do it" refrain, followed by some screed that boils down to: "but GOP does it better! We out-cheat the Dems! We out-lie the Dems! We out-obstruct the Dems! We out-traitor the Dems! We pick bigger monsters for our leaders than the Dems! We win because of our advanced prickitude! But Dems are just as bad because both sides do it."

The Washington Post article with the transcript of Ryan, McCarthy etc. has more in it than just the question of whether McCarthy was "joking" about Putin paying 45.

There is a tape of the entire meeting. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when Ryan and company found out that someone didn't keep that whole conversation in the GOP "family." :)

[8]: Actually, having Mueller appointed is the BEST thing that could have happened to President Trump

It's not certain that will prove true. Here's an extreme contrary state in whict it would likely not be true:

The stupidest explanation for all of this --at least a conspiracy theory, if not a unified theory of everything-- is the following: Recall the motives and means of the Teapot Dome scandal. This is the same kind of thing, but now being part of a vastly larger looting of Rosneft's sanction-frozen Siberian holdings.

I know, that's a stupid theory; I'm simply trying to make a point.

Except for the fact that ya'all are acting JUST LIKE Republicans did under Odumbo..

Not so. Republicans refused to back any legislation that came from the White House, regardless of whether they thought it had merit or not.

Right now, Democrats are ready to sit down and talk with Republicans about a variety of issues, including, but not limited to:

Infrastructure Rebuilding

Tax code simplification

"fixing" healthcare premiums by expanding insurance pools to all 50 states

allowing border patrol agents and other law enforcement to unionize freely, so that their concerns can be more quickly and forcefully heard.

Prison and sentencing reform to alleviate overcrowding and mandatory nonsense.

etc.

Emoluments is an actual term, and violation of that clause of the constitution is an actual crime, which the GOP seems to be ignoring with great vigor.

I don't think we'll get to an investigation into 45's business profits from e.g. the D.C. hotel, but you never know. If Mueller starts down that path 45 is f'd.

Note: Sgt. Schultz has no compunction about asserting Mueller will simply take his assignment as an opportunity to skip investigating 45 and turn it into an anti-Democrat investigation.

I know, right? He's also failed in epic fashion to factor in the fact that Director Comey is also a Republican, not of the Trumpian variety, of course, and a great friend of Director "Three Sticks" Mueller. As fate would have it, it turns out that Republicans aren't a monolithic block who just roll over for a chump like Trump; anyone who's watched the saga playing out between the White House and the IC should easily be able to recognize that, and these two men belong to a very exclusive club, even more exclusive than that long list of presidents of the US.

https://www.fbi.gov/history/directors

They also share service/appointments by President Obama, Mueller being reappointed by Obama to a special 2-year term and serving under PO from 01/2009 until 09/2013, whereupon Director Comey was then appointed by President Obama. There's a cute picture of the three of them together in the Rose Garden circa June 2013. To be perfectly clear here, I'd say there's a better case that Obama is behind the scenes pulling the strings than the moron who thought it would be a good idea to tweet:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
Intelligence agencies should never have allowed this fake news to "leak" into the public. One last shot at me. Are we living in Nazi Germany?
6:48 AM - 11 Jan 2017

while at the same time repeatedly praising one Vladimir Putin. In case anyone forgot, the IC investigation into that whole mess precedes the election by several months.

Grand juries are convening and doing their jobs, and indictments being put under seal. The FBI is on the job. You know the FBI? They're not goobers who served their country for a few years and asserting that it somehow bestows upon them the title of "patriot;" they're a group of tens of thousands of men and women around the world who've dedicated decades of their lives in service to their country... the real patriots. Oh, and why so many leaks lately from the IC? They're protecting their country from the biggest threat to democracy they've seen in decades. They're the oath keepers. :)

Mueller, however, is an old-school republican, whose sense of duty and honor is now a central part of his resume.

And ALL of ya'all said the EXACT same thing about Comey..

Ya'all changed yer tune when Comey did something ya'all didn't like..

Still, it's nice to get all your gushing on record..

So, when Mueller DOES exonerate Trump and starts investigating Democrats, I am going to have more fun with ya'all then I did on 10 Nov 2016!! :D

[82] Balthasar: I KNOW he's projecting.

I don't believe his assertion, I'm not concerned that Mueller will pivot.

My point is that Sgt. Schultz believes it and thinks it's great -- he can't see that making this assertion is actually a terrible statement about the GOP and its members. He can't see how bad it is to assume Mueller would betray his mandate in order to harm Obama/Dems -- how twisted it is to celebrate the very idea.

I'm commenting on Schultzie's beliefs, not on Mueller's integrity.

He can't see how bad it is to assume Mueller would betray his mandate in order to harm Obama/Dems -- how twisted it is to celebrate the very idea.

I'm commenting on Schultzie's beliefs, not on Mueller's integrity.

And if Democrats try to transfer power thru illegal, nefarious or unethical means??

Then everyone would object. We're not like Republicans, much as you'd like us to be.

So far, everything has been done by the book. It's your side that wants to throw standard operating procedure to the wind and say, 'Conflicts of Interest? Not a problem. Nepotism? Never heard of it.'

Paula [78] He's projecting. You can't really blame him, since he's seen so many establishment Republicans bend over and take one for the team this last year.

Mueller, however, is an old-school republican, whose sense of duty and honor is now a central part of his resume.

And, for a former FBI agent, and former prosecutor, this is a particularly target-rich environment.

Emoluments is an actual term, and violation of that clause of the constitution is an actual crime, which the GOP seems to be ignoring with great vigor.

ONCE AGAIN; Sgt. Schultz's response to Mueller's appointment is to say that Mueller will take advantage of his position to pivot from investigating DT to investigating Obama. And he thinks that's just great.

And ONCE AGAIN, Hot Lips is complaining because Republicans are acting JUST LIKE Democrats..

Let me be clear on Russia, 45, and 45's campaign.

I think that Putin tried to harm Hillary's chances, and would have done so regardless of her opponent.

I think that Flynn and potentially other people 45 was stupid enough to let into his inner circle had contact wth Russian agents, especially regarding sanctions and the possibility of then being lifted by 45.

I think that Flynn and perhaps some others knew that Russia was interfering with social media and wanted to ensure that it was focused on Hillary.

I think that 45 was oblivious to the above because he isn't very smart.

I think that there was a lot of meaningless meetings between 45 associates and Russian operatives, such as Sessions' meetings with the Russian ambassador that are completely innocent but in retrospect ill advised. I expect that Hillary's associates also probably had similar encounters, that is just D.C.

I don't think there will be a smoking gun email from e.g. Flynn to a Russian spy saying "please release emails now, 45 is getting killed over the bus incident".

This is more about bad optics and some unsound and stupid suggestions from Flynn than anything else.

However I do believe that this is only the first of many investigations into 45, and that the heat will get too much for him and he will cut a deal exchanging a pardon for the Oval Office that Pence will jump at and that Ryan and McConnell will celebrate.

I expect more tears and pouting from him, but my concern is that his unstable supporters who think only they know what patriotism is will become violent in their defense of this pathetic snowflake (not you Michale, but there are a few of my friends in TX who know some pretty angry and over armed people).

If it looks like the Democrats and hysterical Left Wingers like our own Hot Lips are trying to overthrow the legally elected government thru illegal, nefarious or unethical means.....

You are very well right to be concerned about armed action being taken...

For example... When Director Mueller exonerates Trump and starts opening up inquiries into the actions of Obama, NOT-45 and other Democrats and Democrats attempt to stop Director Mueller from doing so???

You can bet that action WILL be taken...

And the military and the cops are firmly, completely and unequivocally in the President's corner on this...

one must wonder whether or not donald genuinely believes what he is saying about the russia scandal being fake or persecution. based on his tweets and his words to lester holt, there's this appearance of sincere, egocentric naivete, like when a child covers his eyes and thinks that means nobody else can see him. the optics this week have been terrible for him politically, no doubt. but it's difficult to imagine that there's any sort of 'mens rhea' - to have a guilty mind, one must have some sense that what one has done is wrong, and that seems conspicuously absent.

The Washington Post article with the transcript of Ryan, McCarthy etc. has more in it than just the question of whether McCarthy was "joking" about Putin paying 45.

Yea.. WaPoop..

That was the Left Wing rag who said "anonymous sources" had privileged intel on a meeting that they weren't even at and are not even in government anymore..

Hot Lips, it's not surprising you would believe WaPoop..

That was the point. Stop telling us that you can only be patriotic if you support 45.

But it's the fact..

Because if you support NOT-45, you support totally open borders and making the US simply another cog in a globalist machine, no different than any 3rd world hellhole..

THAT is what people who support NOT-45 want..

And THAT is as far from Patriotism as is possible to be..

So, if you don't want to be unpatriotic, quit supporting someone who will destroy this country...

Someone who is a THREE TIME LUSER when it comes to Presidential Elections.. :D

The Washington Post article with the transcript of Ryan, McCarthy etc. has more in it than just the question of whether McCarthy was "joking" about Putin paying 45.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/house-majority-leader-to-colleagues-in-2016-i-think-putin-pays-trump/2017/05/17/515f6f8a-3aff-11e7-8854-21f359183e8c_story.html?utm_term=.4c3e23a12ad4

Before the conversation, McCarthy and Ryan had emerged from separate talks at the Capitol with Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, who had described a Kremlin tactic of financing populist politicians to undercut Eastern European democratic institutions.

News had just broken the day before in The Washington Post that Russian government hackers had penetrated the computer network of the Democratic National Committee, prompting McCarthy to shift the conversation from Russian meddling in Europe to events closer to home.

As you read the whole thing something becomes very clear: Ryan and the rest KNEW the kinds of activities Putin was using to destroy democracies. They knew 45 was employing the same things and suspected he was being paid by Putin. They thought it over. Then they climbed on board.

They sold out America for the chance to get their tax cuts and to destroy the social safety net and to try to destroy Obama's legacy out of spite. But mostly for money.

We all know (except for I SEE NOTHING, I KNOW NOTHING, I THINK CHEATING IS GREAT WHEN MY SIDE DOES IT Sgt. Schultz) that 45 is shit. But he is simply the topmost turd on the GOP cesspool.

Odd, I don't remember you being excited by Pence. You railed against the Pence clones in the primaries and backed 45 because he was "different".

He's not my first choice, obviously...

But he's better than ANYTHING the Dems have, by a LONG shot..

I think you are scared your boy's days are numbered and are immunizing yourself against the gleeful gloating that I for one will be pouring on if we get rid of the worst President in the history of these United States.

Scared???

Hardly... I'll be disappointed to be sure...

But, above all else, I am a realist, a pragmatist..

If that's the way it goes down, don't expect to see my crying and whining and carrying on and on..

What do you think I am!? A Democrat!!?? :D

Do I out really think that an investigation into 45 will involve one second of study not Obama? Are you this desperate?

Yes I do and no.. As I said, I am a realist..

We know from the past that SP investigations tend to go in many surprising directions..

We also know that Director is a loyal and devout Republican and if there is even a WHIFF of Obama, you just HAVE to know that Mueller will follow it...

Denying this is what smacks of desperation..

Look, 45 has pissed off the media

BFD...

(putting them in pens then leading the fanboys in bile spitting during the election was never a good way to get them on your side, and if they aren't with you, they're agin you)

They got, and are still getting, what they deserve...

Why do you think all these groups are suddenly going to agree to going after yesterday's news when they can stick it to the bully?

And yet, Trump's support is STILL strong amongst patriotic Americans..

Put another way...

If you had a bunch of terrorists, scumbags and criminals telling you how bad Odumbo is...

Would you care???

Note: Sgt. Schultz has no compunction about asserting Mueller will simply take his assignment as an opportunity to skip investigating 45 and turn it into an anti-Democrat investigation.

He supports this with the phrase: "Mueller, a loyal Republican…"

Because Schultzie assumes all Republicans will cheat when given the opportunity.

Schultzie thinks its just wonderful too! He celebrates the idea that Democrats are putting their trust in Mueller when they'll just be double-crossed!

In the immortal words from Animal House: "You fucked up. You trusted us!"

Thanks for confirming one of my central tenets re: the GOP Schultzie!

i'm guessing that was a type-o. nonetheless, in almost all possible scenarios, the obama admin will come out of this smelling pretty good. :p

It wasn't a typo and I was referring to the "fragrance" of crooked dealings by Obama et al that will come out once Mueller starts his work.. :D

I can't wait for the first Obama subpoena.. :D

As I said, I agree with you that things are really really bad for the Democrats..

I disagree that they can't get any worse..

Who knew that we would be talking about Bubba's blow jobs when the SP began his WhiteWater investigations..

I am sure Director Mueller will leave no stone unturned in discovering ALL malfeasance, regardless of which Party committed it..

He IS a loyal Republican... :D

Again, after Emailgate and Benghazi did you expect anything else.

After the Dems sided with Al Qaeda and against this country...

No.. I didn't really expect anything else..

If you're lucky your boy will be clean, but are you really sure that after a life in the favorite industry for money laundering there will be nothing dug up?

I am sure that when things are looked at in their proper context, there will be nothing there...

We already agree that the Trump/Russia connection is total BS...

I am sure that anything else will be equally nothing...

But hay, if I am wrong, we have President Pence and I get the last laugh.. :D

@michale,

That's not what I asked..

yes, it is. and i quote:

Mueller, a loyal Republican, will be able to re-open the NOT-45 Email scandal, find out why Obama ordered surveillance on Trump and his campaign and why Susan Rice ordered the unmasking of Americans in ***fragrant[SIC]***(emphasis mine) violation of the law... :D

i'm guessing that was a type-o. nonetheless, in almost all possible scenarios, the obama admin will come out of this smelling pretty good. :p

I asked if there is anyone here who will acknowledge the possibility that this could go very VERY bad for Democrats...

I further asked if anyone is ready to go on the record as accepting ANYTHING that Director Mueller(R) finds...

on the latter count, unequivocal yes.

on the first probably not, since nothing mueller finds will make it much worse for dems than it is already.

The only question is will you hysterically complain the DEMOCRAT manufactured scandals?? :D

Personally I'll laugh my ass off. 45 is a big snowflake so he is going to cry even more. I loved the Coast a Guard speech - it is always nice to see a bully get a punch in the gut and start crying.

Do you expect 45 is going to toughen up?

however, a prosecution of the obama administration on allegations for which there is no factual or legal foundation whatsoever? with all my quatloos on the table, that simply won't happen.

I further asked if anyone is ready to go on the record as accepting ANYTHING that Director Mueller(R) finds...

Simple unequivocal statements preferred...

Also, if there is anything real (unlike Benghazi or emailgate) and some small fry start cutting deals to throw the next level up under the bus in return for immunity are you sure that after decades of doing deals all around the World with some very shady people that your boy and all his family are completely clean?

So, do you want to go on record as stating that you will accept *ANYTHING* Director Mueller finds?

Yup. And then they will grill Mueller about any loose end (e.g. the property deal in Florida where a Russian bought a house over market price then demolished it). Sounds a bit like Whitewater, n'est pas?

Do you think only Republicans can manufacture scandals like Benghazi and emailgate when there is nothing there? 45 is going to be dealing with multiple lawsuits for as long as he is in the White House. There is a lot of payback due.

@michale,

it's fully possible that this goes the way of iran-contra; a few sacrificial lambs prosecuted, a few more pardoned, and a president with his legacy fully intact. that's enough on which you can reasonably pin your hopes.

however, a prosecution of the obama administration on allegations for which there is no factual or legal foundation whatsoever? with all my quatloos on the table, that simply won't happen.

The Democrats are putting ALL their eggs in the Mueller basket

Michale, how many Benghazi hearings were there?

My point is that the Democrats can't start investigations yet, but there is a chance in 2018 that they will get control of one of the houses. In the interim their best tactic was to convince the public to pressure the Republicans and the DoJ that a special counsel was needed.

This is just step 1 in the process of turning over rocks in 45's past to see what crawls out. I expect that the number of investigations into 45, his family, his businesses, his crooked friends (like Flynn) will match or exceed the number of email and Benghazi hearings.

The Democrats are amazed they got this retaliation for Benghazi going only 4 months and into the term. Do you really think they are going to stop here?

Let me explain this: not every Republican is a slavishly loyal, hypocritical drooling Trump fan boy.

Not according to ya'all...

Mueller in particular served in the administrations of both Democratic and GOP presidents. He has a reputation for being a straight shooter, and for pursuing a case to its conclusion. This is why, although he was hand-picked by a Republican stooge, Democrats are pretty comfortable with him.

OK, OK...

So, do you want to go on record as stating that you will accept *ANYTHING* Director Mueller finds?

ANYTHING at all...

Do you want to step up??? :D

Mueller in particular served in the administrations of both Democratic and GOP presidents. He has a reputation for being a straight shooter, and for pursuing a case to its conclusion.

Ya'all said the EXACT same thing about Director Comey...

Right up to the point that he totally trashed NOT-45....

So, why should you be believed now???

Because this time you really REALLY mean it???

OK, fine... Just state for the record that you will accept ANYTHING Director Mueller finds...

*ANYTHING*
