But when there is ironclad proof-positive evidence that a certain group of refugees has a terrorist element, a Wolf In The Fold, if you will, then I don't see the logic in bringing them to the US..

It's not as if their lives are in any danger where they are right now.. They are already out of harm's way..

There is no reason to bring them to the US except for the reason cited above...

Any law that can be put out there that doesn't violate the 2nd Amendment HAS been put out there...

The Gun Control groups are victims of their own success. They have gone as far as they can within the confines of the 2nd Amendment..

This being the case, the path forward is clear....

Either start the repeal process for the 2nd Amendment or concede that Gun Control has gone as far as it can...

A terrorist in the midst of refugees has the potential to kill dozens, if not hundreds...

So the threat potential puts them in far different categories...

Using your very own logic, the Syrian refugee problem doesn't exist, statistically, when you compare the level of violence perpetrated by American citizens upon their own countrymen.

So, I hope your leaders at the state and local levels will come to their senses and start welcoming the idea of settling refugees from a war-torn part of the world that America is largely responsible for in the first place.

Perhaps if this issue is approached more comprehensively, in the most general terms, then the individual parts of the problem may be better addressed.

But, if you want to address a REAL problem....
