Question for any lawyers out there..

There is a legal concept that states whereas if two parties are to be harmed, one by action, one by inaction, then the legal decision should favor the party that would be MORE harmed..

There is a specific name for this concept, but it escapes me...

Anyone??

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat??

But don't worry.. I came to my senses soon thereafter.. :D

Jump forward to the early 1900s, and we find the story of Reed Smoot. Smoot is a name vaguely remembered from History class attached to another, in "Smoot-Hawley." Bonus points if you remembered this was about tariffs, and a gold star if you remembered it had something to do with the Great Depression.

Anyone who has seen FERRIS BEUHLER'S DAY OFF would know about that.. :D heh

Anyway, you never know where research will lead sometimes.

Interesting story about that...

You had done a commentary on J Edgar Hoover which piqued my curiosity.. So I Wiki'ed Hoover and came across all of the movies that had a J Edgar Hoover character in it..

An obscure actor (Larry Drake) who played CHELLICK in the Star Trek VOYAGER episode CRITICAL CARE caught me eye. Especially because of the title of the obscure movie TIME QUEST..

Downloaded it and watched it.

It was one of the best, if not THE best time travel movie I have ever watched. It made me fall in love with the Democrat Party.... :D

So, yea... Research can lead ya to the most unexpected places.. :D
