Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.
And life isn't fair, but it's good!!

I'm 83.

Except for brief period in the 50s when I was doing my National Service,
I've worked hard since I was 17.

Except for some serious health challenges, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn't call in sick in nearly 40 years.

I made a reasonable salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as though retirement was a bad idea, and I'm tired.
Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic.

I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honour"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offence; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in Australia, New Zealand, UK, America and Canada, while no one from these countries are allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight It off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught.

I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions.

I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

I'm also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and early 20s be-deck themselves in tattoos and face studs, therebymaking themselves un-employable and claiming money from the Government.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 83. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making.

I'm just sorry for my granddaughter and their children.

Thank God I'm on the way out and not on the way in.

The wisdom of Mr Bill Cosby....

"Let's just review the whole situation. Congress passed a bill that was so uncontentious that it passed unanimously in both houses and which was then signed into law by President George W. Bush. Obama is now following that law, which requires him to give unaccompanied children from Central America their day in immigration court. Republicans are complaining that Obama is ignoring the law, when he is actually following it.

Really???

The Obama administration may be misreading a 2008 law when it says it has to release most illegal immigrant children from Central America who are surging across the border, according to a new report being released Wednesday by the Center for Immigration Studies.

Jon Feere, legal policy analyst at the center, said that 2008 law applied only to unaccompanied minors who don’t have a parent or guardian already in the U.S. — a situation he said doesn’t apply to “a significant majority” of the children now jumping the border.

And even when the 2008 law, designed to combat human trafficking, is triggered, it allows the government to continue to hold the children in “exceptional circumstances.”
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/jul/16/obama-may-be-misreading-2008-deportation-law-repor/#ixzz37dxOuXFx

Apparently, the LAW disagrees with this talking point..

'Sides...

"OBAMA" and "following the law" are mutually exclusive terms..

Like "Jumbo Shrimp" or "Military Intelligence"...

:D

I thought that the commercial seemed more like a PSA than a commercial. I'm not sure if that's positive or negative though.

For the first time since.... FOREVER, an allied nation has expelled our top CIA man from their country...

I realize that not many of you will understand the import of our top SPY being pinged...

But, with the exception of an ally expelling an Ambassador for moral crimes, this is about the WORST thing an ally can do, diplomatically speaking.

To quote Joe Biden, "This is a big f*cking deal!!"

For the first time since.... FOREVER, an allied nation has expelled our top CIA man from their country...

Israel is paving over Gaza as we speak...

Iraq is turning into a Terrorist's Wet Dream...

Russia is bringing back the old USSR....

We're being invaded on our Southern Border....

Not ONE SINGLE RELATIONSHIP with an ally has gotten BETTER under Obama...

And with all this, the Obama Administration claims that Obama has, SINGLE-HANDEDLY increased the "global tranquility".....

I wasn't aware that the District has legalized marijuana.... Or maybe Obama is just dipping into his secret crack stash...

But whatever the White House is smoking, it has gotten them REALLY high and has totally divorced the people's House from reality...

So, what did anyone think of the commercial?

Inquiring minds want to know.

"That's just disturbing."
-Patrick Warburton, M&Ms Commercial

Reminds me of some TV show/Movie about an alternate reality or futuristic society where they advertise the Trump Hotal Havana or SURF VIETNAM or Get Your Heroin At The Local Quickie Mart....

Obama is now following that law, which requires him to give unaccompanied children from Central America their day in immigration court.

ONLY because it serves Obama and the Democrat's agenda to do so...

Obama has NO PROBLEM ignoring the law to suit his purposes..

If Obama wanted to send these criminals back, AS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DEMAND, he could do so by simply ignoring the law...

Obama has proven as fact that he will ignore the law when it suits his purposes...

Apparently, only OBAMA's agenda matters.. Not the will of the American people...

On immigration, the Republican in charge of the effort was just told by Boehner that there would be no vote on any immigration bill this year. If Boehner had allowed the House to vote on the bipartisan Senate bill last year, the Border Patrol would now have doubled in size.

I have to call BULLSHIT on this..

There is NO guarantee that this would have happened. And there is overwhelming evidence that it WOULDN'T have happened...

Oh sure, it was in the legislation.. But Obama simply can't be trusted to follow the legislation as it is passed.. This has been PROVEN as fact...

Obama's lack of integrity and the fact that he simply CANNOT be trusted is why the House hasn't passed the Immigration legislation..

It's ALL on Obama and the Democrats...

A bunch of new numbers came out on the impact of Obamacare, and they were pretty overwhelmingly positive. So point it out!

Keep in mind that the most onerous and dangerous parts of TrainWreckCare haven't even come into play yet..

Democrats would look pretty stoopid crowing about how awesome TrainWreckCare is, only to have it blow up in their faces a few months later...

Democrats SHOULD remember how utterly abysmal the TrainWreckCare roll-out was and not put to many eggs in the EVERYTHING IS AWESOME.... EVERYTHING IS COOL WHEN YER PART OF THE TEAM basket...

I'm just sayin'.....

Reading more of Obama's recent speeches, it sounds like he is really getting nervous about Boehner's lawsuit...

If Obama truly felt the lawsuit had no merit, he would gladly remain silent and let the GOP step all over their wee-wees..

I believe ya'all used the same argument when the GOP was incessantly attacking TrainWreckCare..

Surely that same argument applies, no?? :D

Now, the entire "it's Obama's Katrina" theme is vastly overstating things,

Except, of course, it's DEMOCRATS who are stating that.. :D

The moral of this story is: when you're taking the moral high road with a "no photo-ops" stance, it would behoove you to not stage a bunch of photo-ops where you look like you're having way too much fun.

I saids its befores and I'll says it agains..

Yer about the ONLY one here in Weigantia who has the political courage to call a spade a spade...

Well done...

"I'm going to need a steak for my eye."
"Rare??"
"Well done.."
"Well done??"
"Well done....."

Had to reach REALLY far back for THAT little gem... :D

"While the economic recovery has not appeared everywhere, it looks like 2014 will be the year of the rebound. Last month, America actually ran a surplus rather than a deficit. This year's federal budget deficit is actually projected to be almost a billion dollars lower than the one President Obama initially inherited. The unemployment rate is poised to fall below six percent this summer, and we added almost 300,000 jobs last month. The stock market is hitting new highs. I am aware that not everyone has seen these benefits yet, but the trendline should be clear -- things are getting better for the American economy overall."

Now THAT is called cherry picking the news. :D There are just as many indicators that the economy is still in the toilet and getting worse... The latest drop in the GDP figures come to mind...

I mean, I get it. It's understandable that Democrats would want to latch on to SOME good news, ANY good news to have a chance in the upcoming massacre at the polls that is about to unfold...

But I have a feeling that Joe and Jane Sixpack's lives aren't much better and THAT can be laid directly at the feet of Obama and the Democrats.

And Americans will vote accordingly...

More later.. Gots work to do.. :D
