Far too much is being written about the Senate after the 2014 elections.

Dems have huge opportunities at the State level. Every governor and state legislator elected in the 2010 wave is up for reelection in 2014.

That should be the focus (we've seen what one party can do with that control after a wave).

Doesn't look good for the Home Team :D

Republicans’ hopes of taking back the Senate received a big boost in primary elections Tuesday, with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) easily winning and other candidates favored by the party establishment beating back tea party challengers.

After years of intraparty turmoil that cost Republicans key races, voters this year are coalescing around the GOP’s strongest candidates ahead of November’s general election, when control of the Senate during President Obama’s final two years in office will be up for grabs.

As for the next POTUS being GOP, haven't yet seen anyone who measures up (poll-wise) to Hillary.

The Hillary of now, perhaps??

But, once the primaries start and all the baggage that is attached to Hillary is exposed ad nasuem??

Like I said, I don't even think Hillary will run..

Of course, that could change, over time. But I'm indeed interested... what horse are you backing, this far out, on the GOP side?

Don't really have a favorite.. Jeb turned me off with his LET'S CREATE MILLIONS MORE DEMOCRAT VOTERS stance...

Christie is probably closest to a favorite right now..

If McConnell tries to bring a repeal bill to the floor, the minority Democrats will filibuster it.

WHAT!!!

Democrats are going to be.... to be... to be..

OBSTRUCTIONIST!!!!!

And they are going to do it in pursuit if their agenda!!!!

SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!!!

{/sarcasm}

:D

I guess being obstructionist is A-OK as long as it's in pursuit of an appropriate agenda, eh? :D

or Senate Democrats will spend two years filibustering everything in sight.

Hmmmmmmm That sounds familiar, eh?? :D

I guess it's safe to assume that ya'all will fall back in love with filibustering, once it's the Democrats that are doing it, eh? :D

That may not be enough to comfort Democrats who are now very worried about the control of the Senate for the next two years, but at least it shows a brighter playing field when we elect our next president.

And if that next POTUS is a GOP'er?? :D
