The first amendment protects political speech and prohibits using government resources to inhibit religious practices. I, personally, am disgusted with the courts inversion of constitutional requirements through its "interpretations" of the constitution. Celebrate the worthlessness of our "justice" system, and the ease with which the constitution is circumvented, if you like. But its the root cause of most of our most pressing current difficulties, and the reason we're unlikely to be able to resolve any of them.
