OK, I've made it back through Monday's column, answering comments as I go.

I have to recommend the comment thread from Monday to everyone, as it is one of the best I've read in a while. On a subject as touchy as the Middle East, it was so much nicer to read than some of the reponses the article got on HuffPost, so huzzahs to all the fine Monday commenters here!
