So, I'm interested, what exactly did Obama get wrong on Egypt? Go back as far as you like (to original Arab Spring), and tell us what he should have done. I'm sure you've got an opinion.

What makes ya think that?? :D

My problem is the two-faced reactions of the Obama Administration. The inconsistency..

When the protesters wanted to oust Mubarak, arguably the dictator best aligned with our interests, Obama couldn't throw Mubarak under the bus fast enough..

But when it's "his guy" that comes under the protester chopping block, Obama hems and haws and says moronic things like, "it's not up to us to get involved blaa blaa blaa blaa..."

I don't think a little consistency in Obama's foreign policy is too much to ask for..

As far as my opinion? The only thing bad about deposing the Muslim Brotherhood is that it might be replaced with something worse..

Apparently, the people of Egypt are too fickle to know WHAT they want... On the other hand, Morisi WAS elected by the people.. A military coup sets a very dangerous precedent. And make no mistake, this WAS a coup, even though Obama hems and haws around the definition.

Overall, this simply proves that Obama's vaunted Foreign Policy "prowess" is nothing but an Administration drive myth..

But don't forget to include what your current position is. After all, aren't you pretty much anti-Muslim Brotherhood? So was the coup a good thing or a bad thing, in your eyes (no matter what preceded it)?

"Egyptians need to get their act together and develop a corporate-controlled legislature with a 9% approval rating"

Which is INFINITELY preferable than brutally jailing and killing your political opponents by the hundreds...

Wouldn't you agree??

Considering your animosity towards anyone who doesn't toe the Leftist/Liberal/Progressive line..... Maybe not. :D

Which brings us to a lesson many Americans find very hard to accept -- we do not actually get to dictate what happens in every country in the world.

Perhaps. But there is nothing wrong with looking out for our best interests...

For better or worse, the US *is* the world's policeman..

Unfortunately, the duty has been shirked...
