New term: Bachmannalia - a frenzied, quasireligious, dishevalled, theatrical performance touching on political themes but unrelated to actual legislation. Related new word: Teabagatelle - a form of political billiards, but with more obstructions and fewer balls on the table. Can also refer to light and unpretentious political banter on Fox and Friends.
