Chris,

This is an excellent piece - I wish it could have appeared at the Huffington Post, too. Maybe another day!

But, you know, President Obama isn't the first to use this formula. Secretary Geithner has been making this case with strong, fact-based arguments for about three and half years now. In fact, one could write an entire FTP column, for example, based entirely on the case he presents in a concise and candid way for what is a pro-growth strategy for tax and fiscal policy.

In one of his many days of testimony before various congressional committees, Secretary Geithner exposed the Ryan budget for the sheer nonsense it is. Sorry, I don't have the C-SPAN link for that handy.

I believe their approach is wrong. And I'm not alone. I have not seen a single independent analysis that says my opponent's economic plan would actually reduce the deficit.

With O having failed to cut the deficit in half, as promised, should the word "deficit" be exiting this man's mouth? Ever? I think not. In trying to slam Romney, O is constantly, inadvertantly, spotlighting his own failures.

I am constrained to point out that, in the here and now, our economy is worse off than it was in Jan of 2009..

This is also not spin or opinion, but rather fact..

I am also constrained to point out that each and every time Obama has submitted an economic plan to Congress, it did not garner ONE SINGLE vote.

NOT... ONE.... SINGLE..... VOTE....

So, my question to Obama (and anyone here) would be this...

Why should we believe that YOUR plan would work any better, when it has been shown to make things worse, not better and has failed to get ONE SINGLE VOTE in Congress??

It's a fair question...

I do have to give credit to Obama for having the guts to mention Clinton in his speech...

Especially considering what a boon Clinton has been....

For Romney..
