I think the Tea Party Republicans would rather let the country re-elect someone they consider a Kenyan socialist, than get enthusiastic about someone they consider a Yankee socialist. A Romney candidacy would be easier to beat than a Perry candidacy, third rail and all.

DF,

But I don't see this crew falling in behind Romney. And I don't see Romney's crew falling in behind Perry.

Many said the same thing about Hillary's crew falling in behind Obama..

Yet here we are.....

Never underestimate the ability of the political ideologue to delude themselves...

Ok, totally off-subject, but HuffPo is trying to claim that Christie will jump in the near future.
yet another idiot reading tea leaves

Now, I don't know if Christie is going to run, I doubt it but in this year who knows? But eventually one person will be selected to run as a republican for president. Is it only me or does anyone else see the actual splintering of the R party here? Alaska, Colorado, Delaware, Nevada, California, Washington(State) all were defeats snatched from the jaws of victory by TP. It is generally conceeded that TP won the house but lost the Senate.

Tea Party types have already shown a complete willingness to sabotage "RINOs" ... which apparently means any declared republican that isn't to the right of {This space for rent}. Does anyone really think the TP will support Mitt Romney? I'm not suggesting that they'll vote for Obama, but that doesn't mean they'll vote. And can THIS republican party win without them? I guess we'll see. But I don't see this crew falling in behind Romney. And I don't see Romney's crew falling in behind Perry.

We'll have stamps showing Sarah Palin, OJ Simpson, and Andrew Dice Clay. Ironically, stamp collecting will be dead five years later.
