dsws -

Heh. Figured you'd like that...

nypoet22 -

Sorry, 14,000 ballots were just found, and you're still the runner up. But if geckosfeet is unable to carry out his duties, you will have to be ready to step in.

Heh.

Michale -

Actually, I think they're both pretty much the same. When one faction (Tea Party, Blue Dogs) holds enough power to halt a bill in their party's house, then the tail wags the dog and the faction dictates the rules.

Seems pretty similar, actually. But I think you're right about the playing field aspect, although Dems who would argue for a different strategy would likely also be called by you "ignoring the results of the last election." I think the Dems realized they had to move right because of that election, personally, and that to move left would have been seen by the public as being unreasonable.

But now, I think the GOP is going to move too far to the right. We'll see...

Ya know, the Democrats could REALLY take a lesson from the GOP and the Tea Party on how political battles are won.

Contrast the two Party's approaches to political battles..

With the GOP and the Tea Party, it's about coming together and how both factions work together to get the best deal possible..

With the Democrats, it's how one faction can't throw their leaders to the wolves fast enough when they don't get all of what they want as fast as they want it....

Further, once again, the GOP has set the agenda and made the Democratic Party fight on the playing field of the GOP's choosing..

Let's face it, when the American people start really caring about that budget and the deficit, that can only benefit the Republicans..

Democrats have been maneuvered into not talking, 'SHOULD we cut', but rather talking 'how MUCH to cut'...

Ironic isn't it? :D How the GOP/Tea Party is the better political machine that the Democrats..

I am not sure if that's a compliment or not, but there it is.

How does relevancy differ from just plain relevance? Is it like a title: His Relevancy the Prime Pundit of the Blogosphere?

"Debbie Wasserman Schultz, or "DWS" (as I like to call her)"

Nice initials.
