My guess is they disagree with most of what she says and find her unqualified for the positions she's held.

If that's the case, then they are pretty fracked in the head..

You don't get to be the most popular governor in a state with such unique challenges by being unqualified...

My theory is that the Left had thought they had sewn up the "women in high office" meme...

They got mad as hell that the GOP would have the unmitigated gall to actually try and put a woman in high office..

You should have seen Taylor Marsh after Palin was selected as McCain's running mate.. She said some things that would normally have a NOW member screaming in rage.. Had the target been a Lefty, of course..

As to why the Right and many independents like her?? Probably because the Left hates her so much. :D

As far as the GOP taking credit for the recovery?? I would think that would be a given.. I see it as business leaders and such saying, "OK, now the grown-ups are back in charge.. We can breathe a little easier now" and so follows a recovery...

Before Obama had won the election, Warren Buffett predicted that the recession would recover naturally in around 5 years +/- and in as little as 2 years with aggressive government involvement. Considering the US government went about it half way with all the Republican obstructionism, 3 to 4 years recovery seems about right.

Dems have held the Congress for 4 years and the presidency and Congress for two and we have 9 % unemployment since they took over.

Republicans still have only the House and DEMS still Control the Gov so how can harping on the crummy UNEMPLOYMENT the DEMS caused and have not yet fixed be good for them?

I read several Conservative Opinion sites, 1 of them on a regular basis. They have columns by about ten different prominent Conservative Columnists daily. Some of my favorites on the Conservative side, Malkin, Coulter, Sowell, Dick Morris and Eileen McGann, O'Reilly, Pat Buchanan (I cant stand and don't read him), Oliver North, Larry Elder, Michael Reagan, John Stossel,Walter E. Williams, Jonah Goldberg and many many more.

Yet I almost never see articles there about Palin. She is almost never a headline and if she is mentioned at all it is a small mention in an article. It is even rarer for them to Mention Glenn Beck on the Conservative site I frequent (who I do watch about 3 or nights a week).

Yet it is a RARE day that Huffington post does not have FRONT PAGE article about Palin or Beck and USUALLY one about each. Huffington Post ranks about 35th in all web traffic in the US. The Conservative Site I visit ranks just over 1000 in site visits in the US. So it is NOT the Conservatives keeping this woman in the news.

A couple of times a week she will appear on Fox news and a few mentions by leading Conservative Columnists. She had a bit of an upswing in Conservative Media notice after the Tucson shooting but she is daily in the spotlight on Liberal Media. It is not Conservatives propping her up at this point.

To a certain extent, yes.. However the greater responsibility belongs to the Hysterical Left..

The Hysterical Left went to soo far and soo low to vilify Palin that they made her the celebrity that she is today..
