BUT, with no false modesty whatsoever, I see that CO has gone blue. With this news, I am now 36 for 36 in calling the Senate, with one race (WA) outstanding.

OK, Harry Reid surprised even me with the size of his victory, I'll admit. And those last five tossup races I truly didn't have a clue, and just got very, very lucky in picking them the way I did, I'll fully admit that, too.

But still, not a bad record, eh?

That's obvious from the polls that have been out there for months and months. The Independents who'd carried him over the line (along with a couple of million teenyboppers) abandoned him long, long ago. Yesterday was merely the day they got to make it official that the "change" they had voted for was not what they'd had in mind when they threw in for him.

So ends the reign of Speaker Pelosi. {snicker} Boy, did she ever call that one wrong. I wonder if she's gonna retire. That was a pretty embarrassing defeat for her.

I stayed up til midnight EST watching my old home state of PA. Was exciting there and IL.

Still waiting on dang CO and WA and not giving up on them yet!

It's really simple. Obama didn't live up to his hype... Many Americans feel not only betrayed by Obama but angry that they were taken in..

Americans dared believe that they man behind the curtain could deliver..

Now those Americans are pissed at themselves for being so gullible. And, rightly or wrongly, Democrats are going to feel the brunt of that anger..

Over at the Senate, things are looking better for the GOP...

I estimate the odds that there is is a 60% chance that the Senate will go over to the GOP..

There is a 40% chance that the Senate will be split evenly at 50-50...

I'm also gratified to point out that INTRADE seems to agree with me and they have a great record in this regard..

Staying true to my prediction that was made many many MANY moons ago :D the Senate will go over to the GOP...
