I'll forgo posting of the stats and polls as I don't want to step on CW's analysis of the Senate.

I estimate the odds that there is is a 60% chance that the Senate will go over to the GOP..

There is a 40% chance that the Senate will be split evenly at 50-50...

Staying true to my prediction that was made many many MANY moons ago :D the Senate will go over to the GOP...

I couldn't resist ... I awoke to a real nightmare, ... what if 2 or 3 of the Senate seats turn out to be really, really close . . . as in Minnesota close, and we wind up again with maybe three seats left in limbo for months & months in the courts.

Would the Senate be able to accomplish anything?

Would anyone be able to tell the difference from what we've had the last two years?

The really horrifying thing is that most of what you say is so logical, so . . . so plausible. Nor do I have any trust that the Old Line pols in either party really would know what to do with the situation if even half your story were to come true.
