That's why I don't think the Undocumented Voter Program will be put into play for the mid-terms..

I honestly and truly thing that, if Obama tried it, there would be a civil war..

Now, I don't think they are above trying to worm it thru for the 2012 elections...

But pushing something like this thru in a couple months for the midterms?? I just can't see them being ALLOWED to do it..

I just can't see the Administration moving something as radical as the Undocumented Voter plan into reality so quickly..

We're only midway thru the "rumors and innuendo" stage..

Something as radical as the alleged amnesty program must be gradually fed to the public to be accepted.

If Obama et al tried to do something like this with less than 2 months until the election, the power grab attempt would be so blatantly obvious that I think even CW, David and Liz would say, "WTF"???

Look at CrapCare. No one denies how radical it is. But it had to be gradually introduced to the American Public and even then, it's unlikely to survive..

For Obama to put something like Amnesty For Illegals into play mere months before the elections would be so blatant and disturbing, even the most Liberal Democrat would have to say, "Hmmmmmm Is this right??"...

Of course, the alternative is we're just a couple of conspiracy nuts... :D

I think it's dead-wrong to reward illegal behavior. I also think Obama and congress are nuts to even be thinking about ramming this through -- circumventing Congress, needless to say, like good little Weathermen-followers -- before the election. I think it will blow up in their faces on Nov. 2nd worse than the ram-through of HCR is about to.

What hurts the Democrats is how they allowed Rangel to cheat the American people up to this point..

How Democrats fought tooth and nail and enabled Rangel to escape justice until now..

Democrats have had almost 4 years to reign in Rangel.

THAT is the story that Democrats don't want told.. Especially in light of Pelosi's "Most Ethical Congress in history" claim...

Let's look at a couple of GOP narratives about the Obama administration and Democratic party:

1. The Democratic party is corrupt (Ok, this is a bit of a dated chestnut, but you'll still see conservatives pull this out every now and then)
2. The Obama administration is associated with black radicals (NBP, Ayers, Wright) and is "reverse racist"
3. Democrats are always partisan and won't include Republican ideas

The curious thing about the Charlie Rangel story is that it doesn't seem to fit with any of these GOP narratives.

Instead, it looks more like the Democratic party is more willing to acknowledge corruption irregardless of party. It looks like they are actually standing on a principle.

And, if they're willing to go after fellow Democrats, are they really corrupt? When was the last time anyone saw conservatives go after a conservative?

And, both of these members of Congress are black and yet the administration is still willing to go after them ... this doesn't fit w/ the GOP narrative.

This is why I'm not sure if the Charlie Rangel story actually hurts Democrats with anyone who isn't already predisposed to believe these narratives (i.e. Independents). I just wonder if the Democrats realize this.

What I'm saying is, maybe instead of acting ashamed or embarrassed about this, they should push the story as much as possible from this perspective.
