I was actually pretty surprised at the Dem list, since as a whole it&#039;s not too bad.  No obvious stick-in-the-muds (no Liebermans, in other words).  Blanche Lincoln has backed herself into a corner where the only way for her to survive politically is to fight hard for her strong derivatives language.  The House version has some strong stuff in it the Senate left out, too.

I remain cautiously optimistic, personally.
