Matt is, as of this comment, five votes away from 4th place in a field of 115 people. You can see his ranking here. I think he has to be in the top 3 to win a sponsorship to Netroots Nation. It takes two minutes, tops, to vote. So please go cast a vote for him! No excuses!

Ooohhh, awww right.... :D

I'd like instead to dissect a few themes which proved to be either partially or absolutely wrong last night.

The first of these is that the Tea Party folks are worthy only of ridicule. This is a theme from both the Left and from the mainstream media.

Damn.. Ya know, I coulda swore someone around here has been saying that from day one...

Hmmmmmmm

Who could it have been.... :D

Specter and Sestak are almost identical, ideologically (they vote almost identically, in other words).

Except one was offered a bribe not to run and one wasn't... :D

Specter lost the race the minute that Obama spoke up for him...

The first of these is kind of unrelated, but bears mentioning -- what you did in (or "during," I should say... ahem) Vietnam still matters.

I commented on this in a previous thread, but there wasn't any challenge to it, so I guess I am proved right once again.. :D

But seriously, it's amazing how many passes Dems get for issues that would have been horrible horrible crimes if committed by a GOP'er...

As far as the media slams go, consider this...

Who is really at fault for the "power" of the MSM??

The American public who watches and listens??

Or the Administration that makes decisions, not based on the facts on the ground, but rather from the reporting of the MSM???

Absolutely fantastic article, Chris! This goes down as one of my favorites. So much of the corporate news coverage focused on a couple of themes that just doesn't ring true and/or take into account the complexity of what happened.

I've also found it striking the almost complete lack of coverage of PA-12 in the MSM. The races in Louisiana and Pennsylvania received a lot of coverage, but NPR was the only place I heard about PA-12 other than online.

p.s. Good luck, Matt! You've got my vote!
