Once again, Democrats in Congress have managed to put themselves in a Lose-Lose situation.

Regardless of the exuberance of the two previous posters, it's a bona fide fact that the majority of Americans DO NOT want DunselCare.

The Left goes on and on ad naseum about how the majority of the Public wants Health Care Reform. But that same majority clearly and emphatically states that DunselCare ain't reform.

So, lets clear the air now, once and for all.

The Public wants HealthCare reform.

DunselCare is NOT HealthCare reform.

The Public does NOT want DunselCare.

Even members of this little community agree that DunselCare is NOT Health Care reform..

<B>".... and anyone who says different is lying, 'cause it just ain't so."</B>
-Tom Cruise, A FEW GOOD MEN

<B>"These are the facts. And they are undisputed."</B>
-Kevin Bacon, A FEW GOOD MEN

Which brings us back to our LOSE-LOSE situation Democrats find themselves in.

CW is dead on ballz accurate (it's an industry term :D) Democrats are truly "ALL IN" on DunselCare. As I have shown before (and CW appears to agree) the effort now is not about DunselCare. It's simply about getting a win. ANY win. And it's a win, not for the American People, but rather a win for Democrats in Congress. They MUST pass DunselCare or they will perish for a generation. So, there is one half of the LOSE-LOSE equation.

Now, what if Democrats pass DunselCare?? Dems will own it, because no Republican in their right mind would vote for the vile piece of legislation that is DunselCare. Anyone with more than 2 brain cells to rub together knows that anytime the government gets involved in something like this, it goes to hell.. VA, IHS, Medicaid, Medicare, the examples are endless. And, since we are going to see all the costs and crap and taxes FIRST and not see any benefits for at least a half dozen years, you can bet the public will retaliate against Dems at the voting booth.

So, now we have our other LOSE for Democrats. Cause if the Democrats are successful in passing this piece 'o crap legislation, then the will be voted out of office...

As I lead off with, it's a Perfect Storm of a Lose Lose situation.

If Dems fail to pass DunselCare, they will be booted out of office by their own base, independents and Republicans.

If Dems pass DunselCare, it will be independents and Republicans who boot them out of office..

What is it about Democrats that they seem to attract these Lose-Lose scenarios??

The test of whether or not I am right will come very soon.. Probably in the form of no one will to counter with any logic or facts of their own? :D

I mean, seriously. I was right about DunselCare not being on Obama's desk by the end of the year. I am probably going to be right about there being no DunselCare at all to sign. Even if I am wrong about that, I am definitely going to be right about no Public Option in DunselCare.

<B>"Of course, I'm arrogant. I've EARNED it!!"</B>

I hew to my 11-Dimensional Chess theory for two reasons: (1) I got <i>yet another</i> email from DFA yesterday (2) An air of inevitability has started to grow around reform and even the public option. By my count, Lieberman has now changed his argument against the public option six times. None of them hold any water. The anti- position is getting extremely difficult for Blue Dogs to explain.

Chris,

I know this might be TOO SIMPLE for a lot of voters, but in the event this bill fails, why not make the few "Democrat" turncoats into the stars of an American "least-wanted" campaign. Taking out a failure on the whole party when a few weasels (who their constituents elected) are to blame is counter-productive. Anyone sabotaging all this work was never a Democrat to begin with, and the party should figuratively hang them out on a yardarm and make it clear they will devote every resource possible to replace them with ACTUAL democrats ASAP.
To torture a sports metaphor, if a football team lost a big game because ONE offensive lineman did a flagrant "ole" block on a passrusher who then crushed the quarterback out of the game; would that team's fans blame the whole organization for the traitorous lineman's sellout?
Obama needs to make sure that these potential snakes know their political futures will be razed, Carthage-like, with no possible reprieve, if they blow this.
