Yea, you might be right.

It does appear (emphasis on APPEAR) that Democrats are coming together over the legislation. On the other hand, it's possible (even likely) that there are still fractures and inter-party squabbles but they are just not public anymore.

But look at the facts. As CW noted in his commentary, it took just ONE committee 4 months to come to a vote on their version of the legislation.

Now, we're going to have dozens of committees all pushing their particular brand of DunselCare..

And ya'all think that can happen in 2.5 months? When it took just ONE committee 4 months!??

Well, I guess time will tell...

One question though.

What happens if the Senate Finance Committee doesn't pass their version of DunselCare??

there will be something health-care related on the president's desk before new years. as i've said before, i doubt it will be anything seriously productive. however, it will be enough to be labeled "health care reform," in spite of the probability that it won't.
