Ironically enough, ya'all can't blame the GOP for this because, as you have clearly stated over and over ad nasuem, the GOP is "irrelevant"...

Publicize Teddy

There is a campaign to win and Election is at hand we could have another 145 days of Mass. 145 days of some average Joe trying to fill the Lion's shoes. A fresh new Knight to seat at the Kings table. A simple senate seat could turn into a National election at least in the publics mind. It is one thing to publicize a man's death it is totally different to carry out a dead man's wishes.

I think the reason that we didn't hear every single speaker at Senator Kennedy's funeral and at the gatherings that preceded it expound upon healthcare reform is because they simply are not passionate about the issue...at least, not anywhere near as passionate as Senator Kennedy.

That has been my impression after watching how this debate has evolved over the last several months.

At the risk of being labeled 'insensitive' (too late.. :D) it's a real shame that Teddy Kennedy's last official act was one of complete and utter partisan hypocrisy that had absolutely NOTHING to do with the betterment of the country, but rather to satisfy an utterly partisan agenda. HuffPo is known for it's censoring. Say something against President Obama and you find your posts censored. Present logical and rational arguments that dispute the viewpoint of Arriana and HuffPo and find yourself banned.

Ya really gotta love the irony of a Democrat and Liberal blog that is so into stifling dissent and censoring other people's viewpoints. :D

I can't believe itâ€¦ I got my Huffpo notification of today's piece over three hours ago, and couldn't resist getting in the first comment. Where has everybody been? Knowing HuffPo, they are all probably banned.. :D CW, The problem with politicizing a politicians death to further a political agenda is that, in effect, Democrats are saying this to the American Public: "Don't vote for DunselCare on it's merits. Ignore all the bad things about DunselCare and just vote for it because Teddy wanted it." Is THAT the message Democrats want to give the American public? Michale....

Anyway, Chris, thoughtful and well said as always. For the umpteenth time, I wish you had an advisory position in the Obama administration. How clueless do they have to be to stumble around on such a no-brainer as affordable health care for all?
Is there some national idiotic streak saying if you can't do it first, why bother? You eagerly take in our comedians, how hard could it be to emulate our health care? :)
