This is for BusGreg over at HuffPo..

HuffPo moderators didna like my explanation over there, so I figured I would post it here..

Bovine Flatulence is a well-touted "cause" of Human Caused Global Warming (Yet The Planet Is Cooling)..

So, if cow farts can mess up the planet's environment, imagine what millions of EXTRA smokers will do for their air quality...

So, the question to pot smokers becomes, "Do you care more about saving the planet or more about getting high"??

Hell, pot smokers might find themselves at the mercy of the Democrat's SCHEME & REAM scam. AKA Cap & Trade...

There's an idea... Not only tax marijuana, but tax the emissions of ALL Smokers!!! :D

Works for me....

crossposted from HuffingtonPost

Another thing to consider is how a couple million more pot smokers will affect Human Caused Global Warming (Yet The Planet Is Cooling).

If it's a choice between getting high and "saving the planet", what will the pot smokers choose?

As an aside to CW... Apologies for not putting the "CrossPosted to www.chrisweigant.com" on the HP posts.. I always forget that part... I'll try and remember in the future.. :D

"Legalization in any one state necessarily threatens the entire War on Drugs." This is what drug warriors say to scare us away from sensible legislation; but what they really mean is, legalization threatens to expose the bankrupt failure that is the War on Drugs.

The best argument for legalizing marijuana is to save law enforcement resources and focus for harder, more dangerous drugs. Pot only becomes a gateway drug when you force the user to find a drug dealer. It's time to try "divide and conquer" instead of compacting the entire gamut together as one monolithic problem.

This is one of the VERY few subjects where my heart overrides my logic.

I see the logic and rationale for legalization and taxation. The arguments that pot is much like alcohol in it's effects etc etc are rational and factually based.

However once a cop, always a cop. I just can not get my cop mentality around the concept that legalizing illegal drugs is a good thing.

Even if any of these state ballot measures or bills are passed it won't mean anything if the Feds don't get on board.
