Any decisions made based on emotion is, pretty much, the WRONG decision to make. That's one of the biggest problem facing Democrats. Many MANY of their hot-button-issue positions are based in emotion, not logic. To be fair, the GOP have a few emotionally-based positions as well. Religion being the first and foremost detriment to logical and rational thinking. Yea, that seems to happen every time there is a SCOTUS confirmation process. This time around, it's the GOPers that are being farcical. Last couple times, it was the Democrats that were being farcical.
