I can't do it. I've come back to this article four times thinking, "I've got to read this, it's by Chris, one of my favorite writers", but I still am unable to get by more than one or two cringe-inducing Bush quotes. Then again, I watched the Palin vice-presidential "debate" muting her every time it was her turn to assault my ears/intelligence. Chris, for what it's worth in case you missed it, the guy who writes Top Ten Conservative Idiots is finally back on DU. Hope you make it to the Inauguration and have a GREAT TIME.

Can't wait. I can't describe the feeling among those I know. Everyone somehow just feels a little better, a little more empowered, as if we can actually make a difference. Will be nice to celebrate for a week!

p.s. I think what amazes me more than anything is that so many people (some 58 million judging by the Presidential election) still either think Republicans know what they're doing or believe in the Republican brand.

The only thing surprising about Bush's lack of popularity is that it isn't more extreme and this is probably a testament to a lack of any challenges by the corporate media.

I think Bush should go down in history as the worst President ever! He just made a huge mess of the whole thing. And it is the American people who are going to be paying for his mistakes for generations to come. I get so mad when I think about it so I guess I must have BDS - fortunately the cure is only a week away!

I loved how the WH press corps gave that short bit of half-hearted applause as Bush ran away (and he DID run away, just disappeared through the door).

Will there be a Frost-Nixon for Bush? I hope so. I want to see this man put on the spot and forced to answer for his criminal stupidity.
